THE KING IS DEAD!

Yesterday, it was confirmed, that at the grand old age of 110 the Hutorian Monarch - Arthur I - had passed away. He had only been King for a short period after Hutori was returned to the Viceroy system after years of Republican rule. Preparations are now underway for the coronation of HRH George I, Prince of Falristan. Whilst the Hutorian Monarch now doesnt have many duties as Head-of-State because of the Viceroy system the HNP see it as crucial for the Hutorian Monarchy to continue. They see it as crucial to have native Hutorian blood as the Royal Family and to protect Hutoris culture in the face of power-greedy parties who would abolish the Monarchy to become HoS.

Hutori now has a new King. Long live King George!

HNP RUNNING UNOPPOSED

The HNP is once again the only Hutorian political movement contesting the general election of 2296. This shall give the HNP the authority to govern Hutori for the next five years and make them the supreme authority of the land. Prime Minister Duke Richards insisted that the HNP shall continue all their controversial policies regardless of international opposition. In conclusion the HNP have made Hutori their own and will continue to do so until another political movement believes they can challenge the seemingly untouchable ruling HNP.

DUKE RICHARDS RESIGNS

The Hutorian Prime Minister and Leader of the ruling party - the Hutori National Party - has announced that he is retiring from frontbench politics. Duke Richards has served as Prime Minister of Hutori three times and has led the HNP since 2972. When asked why he had undertaken this decision Duke RIchards said, "I feel that i have taken the Hutori National Party as far as i can. I have led this historic party for 24 years and have undertaken one of the most revolutionary governments ever seen upon Terra. Bearing this in mind, i have laid the foundations for a Hutori that could belong to the HNP for centuries and i feel as though my work as Leader is completed. I am 77 years old now and i would like a peaceful, quiet retirement and leading such a noisy government the two are incompatible. I however shall remain as Prime Minister and Party Leader until my replacement is found."

On the subject of potential new Party Leaders three candidates have emerged from the highly secretive HNP. The three Candidates are ; current Hutorian First Tribune Brian Bedonde MP, the current Justice Minister Viscount Harold MacIntosh and relativley unknown backbench MP Charles de Wit. All three contenders have similar political views and the HNP are rumoured just to continue their current policy rather than enact any changes. Given this stance First Tribune Brian Bedonde has said recently he would like to move into "front-line" HNP policy and take a more active role in the Hutorian goverment.

The leadership contest is decided through a vote of all HNP MP's. All 391 MP's shall be given a vote and it is whichever candidate recieves the most nominations will become the new Leader.

BEDONDE WINS LEADERSHIP CONTEST

Baron Brian Bedonde MP, has clearly won the Hutori National Party Leadership contest. The results of the contest were as follows;

Baron Brian Bedonde - 298 Nominations
Viscount Harold MacIntosh - 64 Nominations
Charles de Wit - 29 Nominations

This means Baron Bedonde has succeeded Duke Richards as HNP Leader and Hutorian Prime Minister. A Cabinet proposal has been put before the Hutorian House of Parliament to ratufy his appointment.

In the grand scheme of things, this move by the HNP is one of continuity rather than change. Baron Bedonde is content just to preserve HNP ideology across Hutori and deal with any potential political opposition that should rear its head. Baron Bedonde also commented on how it is important to him how Hutori is viewed on the International stage and he would do all he could to try and improve the worlds view of Hutori.

HUTORIAN INTIMIDATION!

New Hutorian Prime Minister Baron Bedonde's first Act as PM has been to drastically increase the military prescence on the Hutori/Telamon border. Twenty full divisions of the Hutorian Armed Forces numbering roughly 800,000 Troops plus artillery have been spotted within 20 miles of the border.

Hutorian Prime Minister has issued the following statement to the government of Telamon; "Hutorian eyes have moved towards the South. We believe that Telamon should form part of a greater Hutorian empire and abandon their sovereignity and instead be held to account by the Hutorian House of Parliament. There are two outcomes to this situation. Either Telamon can ratify a HNP approved Treaty signalling their loyalty to the Hutorian crown or, Hutori can expand its borders. We give the decision to Telamon and we tell them to bear in mind that their people will bear the brunt of their choices - should they chose war".

HUTORI INVADES TELAMON

The Hutorian Armed Forces have moved into the nation of Telamon seizing control of two full regions. The Telamon Army has not yet been mobilished as politicians hold a vote in Parliament to decide whether to declare war. It would seem the decision has been made for them by Hutorian Prime Minister Baron Bedonde who yesterday ordered 1,700,000 Hutorian soldiers to cross the border. Another 3,000,000 are waiting in reserve if needed. The Hutorian army has so far seized controls of the cities of; Ironia, Calnevari, Hruban and the Telamon Capital Ferescia. Hutorian Armed forces stormed the Telamon Parliament and has captured 7 members of the Cabinet who were present. Prime Minister Michael Dawson is believed to have been shot but not fatally. This capture of Telamons Parliament has thrown politics into dissaray and the Telamon Armed Forces on the verge of routing.

The Hutorian Prime Minister has called for, "a resolution whereby Telamon ratifies thre Hutori/Telamon Unification Treaty". The PM has also hinted at the use of nuclear weapons should Telamon forces move into Hutorian soil.

LARGE SCALE HNP REFORMS INTRODUCED

Today, a large proportion of Hutori National Party reform passed through the Hutorian House of Parliament. These Bills will drastically effect live within Hutori for all Hutorian peoples regardless of ethnic group.

Underneath is a list of the passed reforms;

http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=300360
http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=300362
http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=300277

http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=300325
http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=300328

This continues HNP policy of completely eroding civil liberties for all citizens, but especially those of non-native Hutors who are completely shut off from contact with Hutors. These reforms simply show that the Totalitarian HNP are continuing to assert their control over nearly every aspect of life in Hutori

Now for an update on the war with Telamon: Hutorian agression has ceased whilst the Telamon Parliament are voting over appointing Hutorian King George I as King of Telamon. Hutori has been threatened by the interfering Holy Luthori Empire and Endralon. Both these nations are putting pressure on Hutori to withdraw from Telamon and our glorious armed forces will not be put off by these incompetent beauracrats who sit in their Parliaments in far away lands. Hutori shall persue what we see as the right course of action in Telamon and any international interference or condemnation will be disregarded by the morally just Hutori National Party.

HUTORI BOWS TO AXIS DEMANDS

Hutorian Prime Minister Brian Bedonde and his newly reformed Hutori Nazi Movement have bowed to demands by the Axis Alliance to allow all Axis state citizens to leave Hutorian soil. It is an unprecedented event when there were thousands seen leaving Hutorian land for the first time since the HNM came to power and shut off Hutori from the outside world.

According to International News Kalopia has declared war on Hutori. This is just speculation at this moment but an announment clarifying the situation is expected by the Kalopian governing party the Socialist Phalanx.

OOC: It was explained to me that my declaration of war was invalid, because I didn't pass a resolution in my nation. Let us forget this business. I have other plans now.
