Local media acquisitions lead to uptick in news circulation
March 5420

Yishelem, Beiteynu - The House of Elior's media footprint seems to have grown in a rather noticeable manner in the last 3 decades, coinciding with the increase of demand for cultural content revolving around the return of the Yeudi Monarchy and its reminiscing of the Yeudish Heritage.

The Yishelem Post being the oldest - established in 2863 after the collapse of the Kingdom of Yishelem - and most popular publisher currently in circulation is another media company that was acquired by Luthorian conglomerate Humperdinck Media Group in 5372; and yet another example of the House of Elior's and Luthori's "expansions" in the global reach of Beiteynuese news outlets. HMG's acquisition of the Yishelem Post was complimented by the Magashalom Magazine, placing only 2nd next to the unparalleled levels of worldwide circulation by notorious Lourennais outlets (which replaced Dorvish sources in recent decades).

A few years later, HMG gulped YishelemPlus Broadcasting Corporation as its biggest shareholder, sharing the board of directors with notorious AIG and the Aristocrat-Goldbloom family; both under the wings of the House of Elior. Equifund Hadashot - Beiteynu's "newsletter" to the consortium news of military equipment and partnerships - and Keshef are the only 2 financial news publishers remaining and not under the direct reach of neither Beiteynuese nor Luthorian families.

The 3 independent and of the most popular media outlets domestically remain Radio Beiteynu, The Sholemberg Post and Melouhlah Radio, with the latter having lost its early momentum during the second half of the previous century, as TSP continues to rise in popularity.

Focus seems to trend inwards to society, culture and fashionable trends; a long way from the despairs of a generation on its knees.

Digitali Nimshal begins roll out of v2 of Terran Times
July 5420

Himmelshtern, Beiteynu - The transition of the Terran Times to an amplifier and distributor for news and media publishers across the world continues unhindered with the release of the anticipated version 2, as it steadily rolls out together with the Terran Times Project initiative. Although the Medinat Department campaigned actively for the agreement, Sneakyeth Avodi stated that the Beiteynuese Government will not seek to influence or pressure further on the treaty.

Met with "less bugs than expected", according to the Digitali Nimshal's engineering team that tackled the project, the new version offers an application programming interface that uses an early machine learning approach to tap into the feeds of media automatically.

The Head of the organisation confirmed that news publishers can seek to connect "live feeds" from conferences and organisations, such as the World Congress's General Assembly (which has already been connected), to ensure that the content is distributed automatically across the world.

A new "realtime reporting" feature has also been released in an aim to connect the dots between related stories from different publishers.

The Digitali Nimshal will continue monitoring and further upgrading the framework based on the new v2 architecture.

Eyes in the sky; an intelligence pivot made in silence
August 5420

Image

Amshinov, Beiteynu - If there's anything Yeudis are most obsessed with, after hummus, Ahmadi coffee and Lourennais baguette, it's intelligence. There's no denying Yeudish shenanigans in modern history, but there's also no denying how curious it is they have gone mostly unpunished. Despite the best efforts of multiple administrations since that scandalous incarceration of former TRA Director Cunnington Marit back in the 53rd century, the agency seems to be kicking around just fine; through other means these days, as "boots on the ground" are rather short thanks to scrutiny and massive oversight.

Oversight, accountability and transparency that have evidently sparked rumours of TRA's disbandment, as of late. Or rather, an idea circulating the halls of the Medinat Department on how it may be merged with the Agafim - the internal security agency - or sold to the highest bidder (?).

The TRA, however, managed to influence the game of intelligence indirectly, instead.

This notion of "staying up to date" with the comings and goings of the world to ensure Yeudish interests seems to transcend politics and ideologies across the board. Even the legendary MCR that pointed the finger to the Rosh HaMemshala may have pushed for the Lavian to go civilian, but never really opposed the organisation's spy-centric existence with the Allink. So, while the Prime Minister cycles around on her bicycle and the Medinat Department steadily seems to diminish having lost the Artanian game of influence, the TRA is yet again pulling the strings behind the latest in spy trends: satellites.

Can't get there? No problem, just watch from afar.

The TRA's tactics may have faded into a "bygone era", but, in silence, the focus of Yeudish intelligence managed to pivot over the last 5 decades. The AllComm, brought alive in a rather "casual manner" through the undertones of news headlines, now marks an intelligence network of more than 12 nations. It is certainly a "new way of doing things", as numerous high ranking officials have expressed in the Beiteynuese Government, but is it really different?

It's a network; a pact. It's something.

Paz Yoffey announces retirement ahead of 5420 Election
The long-standing Leader of the MH, and Rosh Ha'memshala of Beiteynu, Ms. Paz Yoffey, has announced her retirement today.

The new MH Leader, Mr. Riki Rose

YISHELEM, ENDILD - One month away from the December 5420 Knesset elections, the incumbent Leader of the Mifelegett Ha'avodah, the largest party in Beiteynu, and incumbent Rosh Ha'memshala of the Homeland State, Ms. Paz Yoffey, has announced her retirement from politics after twenty-three years at the helm of the party, and fifteen at the helm of the country. Yoffey cited the need for a new generation of leaders to step in and the fatigue accumulated in a decade and a half in power, as a reason for the retirement.
The Party Assembly of the MH then held a special meeting to elect her successor as Party Leader, with Finance Minister Riki Rose and Foreign Minister Jonathan Levinsky as the lead candidates; the election turned out in favor of Mr. Rose, a moderate, who has received 625 votes out of 1001 in the second round of voting; placing him as the effective leader of the MH starting tomorrow.
Who is Riki Rose and what to expect from his leadership? The Rose leadership is expected to be more moderate in the economic field than the Yoffey one, while maintaining a fairly progressive stance on social issues and secularism, whereas a Levinsky leadership would have been more left-wing in both fields - as for Riki Rose, he is a 45-year-old incumbent Minister of Finance, and member of the Knesset since 5408, he is married with Naomi Levin since 5404 and the couple has had one children. Rose started his carrer in the MH at 20 years old, joining the University chapter of the Party, he has been a long standing supporter of Paz Yoffey, just to tone down his support in recent years in favor of said more moderate policies.

BPA soul searching after devastating defeat
May 5421 - The December 5420 election saw the progressive BPA wiped off the political map failing to win even a single seat in the Knesset.

Yishelem, Beiteynu - Months after the election catastrophe that saw the BPA being wiped off the electoral map, party leader and former Rosh HaMemshala has begun the process of determining what went wrong. Sources inside the BPA told Radio Beiteynu that Ms. Amira has been holding series of meetings with senior members of her party as well as supporters including disappointed former voters.

It seems that the BPA has lost its distinct policy brand after many years as a junior partner of the Mifelegett Ha'avodah. Here is a leaked audio by one BPA official in which Radio Beiteynu was unable to verify:
People felt we had grown complacent and stopped articulating a vision of our own. Voters saw us as the Mifelegett Ha'avodah lite and just basically decided to cut out the middle man.

Additionally, political analysts have pointed to various factors of the BPA's downfall stating that the party has struggled to differentiate from its larger ally, the Mifelegett Ha'avodah party on policy issues which prompted disaffected voters to choose for the Labour style party instead.

As of yet, no firm decisions has been made regarding the party's direction, however what is certain is that there is increasing calls for Ms. Amira's resignation. Sources claim a "coup attempt" and that the party's national committee will be initiating a vote of no confidence. Even some of Amira's loyalists have conceded that she is now vulnerable to being ousted from a position she has held before the birth of the Molodet Medinat.

A "who's who" of Hevrat Lobbyists; the private sector's influence in the Knesset
August 5421

Image

Yishelem, Beiteynu - Despite having maintained mostly center left administrations since the 13-year recession of the 53rd century, when the landscape shifted permanently from a Hevrat Hashmal dominated scene, Beiteynu has kept up with its tradition of not disputing neither the business alignments nor associations of Knesset representatives with the private sector. Affiliations that exist in the center left, as well (Aristocrat-Goldblooms), not just the right or center.

Hevrat Hashmal, founded by a businessman itself, Baruch Lea Tzafrir, collapsed in 5362, 163 years after its foundation; replaced by a party led by another businessman, Hadayim's most notorious former CEO, Benjamin Benowitz. A man who ended up murdering the Head of the Medinat Department's legendary diplomat Noah Kadiyot for reasons that the authorities and the public still don't understand why, almost 50 years later.

The Benowitzes, the Tzafrirs and the Aristocrats of Kalopian financial behemoth Aristocrat Insurance Group; all members of the House of Elior.

And a party with its legacy built on the private sector's outmost influence. A party bathed in scandals, investigations and at the heart of the meddling affairs of modern day Beiteynu. Many faces later, the scandals may have disappeared but the influence persists, ever so strong. Hevrat Lobbyist's direct affiliations with AIG is probably the main reason now Rosh HaMemshala's Riki Rose's center left Mifelegett Ha'avodah maintains a great standing with the business community; Elias Goldbloom, Sharon Aristocrat-Goldbloom and Nathaniel Aristocrat, the former CEO of Aristocrat Energetical, all part of the House of Elior's game.

The circle of the private sector's influence now widens, though it subsides; including the walks of the 1% of former Beiteynuese, Luthorian, Lourennais and Kundrati shipping, finance, defense and media executives and investors; the C Suite elites that have been racking billions and billions in untaxed bonuses for decades.

Composition
These, are the major playmakers of Hevrat Lobbyists, still enduring HH's ashes only to ensure the relevance of Yeudish money in the world.

    1. The heavyweights of the shipping industry's titans - Hadayim, Birco and Petrik Hadayot; an industry that's deeply embedded in the oil and gas and petroleum refinement markets, as well. Beiteynu's biggest commercial driver and the one infamous for its diregard of diplomacy and relations. With rising Luthorian lobbying in recent decades, as Fort William continues to invest in a game of oil and gas, naturally partnering up with Yeudish tankers.

    2. The silent but eloquent financial industry - within a curious and rather coexisting spheres of Beiteynuese, Kundrati and Lourennais influences; Tomasadyn National and Ashalon Bank BEIFG sitting at the helm of international commerce, with whispers of Lourennais RDB playing the deep state game.

    3. The defense industry - the one hiding in plain sight behind the Equifund, with a mix of too many interests to even bother to count.

    4. And finally, the media and entertainment scene - dominated by Luthorian conglomerates such as Humderdinck Media Group.

Securing seats not by campaigning positions - we all know them - but by campaigning contributions.

BREAKING: Knesset to disband TRA
August 5421

Yishelem, Beiteynu - BEILACT/5421 has hit the Knesset floor and is set to pass by support of both Mifelegett Ha'avodah and - interestingly - Hevrat Lobbyists; the freshly drafted Beiteynuese Law Act will see the Terran Remediation Agency disbanded and all of its assets moved to the Agafim, Beiteynu's domestic security agency. High ranking officials declined to comment on the status of Beiteynuese intelligence and counter-intelligence operations abroad.

BEILACT/5421 was curiously drafted and promoted by the Medinat Department; the one usually associated with the TRA's operations.

The end of an era, it seems, as a new one has already began.

Amira makes last minute attempt to salvage leadership
October 5421 - The leadership crisis within the Beiteynuese People's Alliance party has grown worse as Amira finally faces a no confidence vote in the coming weeks.

- Youth unemployment on the rise, reports indicate.

Yishelem, Beiteynu - A month after BPA leader Eliana Amira launched a campaign to rally support for her leadership, the party's national committee announced today that they will be initiating a vote of no confidence against the former Rosh HaMemshala in the coming weeks.

This announcement does not come as a surprise as rumors and unofficial information has been swirling regarding a vote back in May. Nevertheless, Ms. Amira's last minute attempts to hold on to her position seem to be having a little effect. A BPA official considered a hardline supporter of Amira stated:
I have the utmost respect for our current party leader Ms. Eliana, however as plain as I can be, we need change. The people spoke last year and we must listen.

Regardless, Ms. Amira even took her case to the public. In a video address shared on her official social media pages, including the official pages of the Beiteynuese People's Alliance, she acknowledged that there were failures, "past failures", she later clarified. Amira then ended with a plea asking members of her party for "one more chance" for the job. However, a poll conducted by Radio Beiteynu last week revealed that most BPA supporters believe it's time for new leadership.

With the vote of no confidence looming, only one member of the BPA have announced his intention to run for the party leadership. He is none other than Noah Levy, a 32 year old former member of the Knesset and also the great great-grandson of the founder of the party Isaac Levy. Amidst the leadership crisis, Mr. Levy has been gaining momentum and endorsements. He refused to comment when approached by Radio Beiteynu.

Breaking: BPA elects founder's descendant as leader
November 5421 - The Beiteynuese People's Alliance has chosen Noah Levy as it's new leader effectively ending Eliana Amira long tenure.

- Agafim General Director says it is ever ready in securing national safety with TRA Assets

Yishelem, Beiteynu - In a vote held today at the closed-door meeting of the BPA national committee, Noah Levy comfortably defeated Eliana Amira in a leadership contest. According to results obtained by Radio Beiteynu, Noah Levy recieved an overwhelming majority of more than 60% of the BPA votes, compared to Amira's 33%, forcing the former Rosh HaMemshala to resign.

In his victory speech, the newly elected 32-year old leader thanked Amira for her service to the country and the party. He even called for party unity. Levy added:
Our mandate now is to reconnect with the Beiteynuese progressives as well as the youth and rebuild our party into a viable force once more.

On the other hand, Amira conceded defeat as soon as the results were out acknowledging that it was time to "pass the torch to new leadership." The outgoing party leader thanked her supporters and wished Levy and the party the best going forward. Amira did not comment if she was going to stay as a member of the BPA.

Nevertheless, as previously reported, the new BPA leader is the great-great grandson of the founder of the party, Isaac Levy who founded the party in 5276. The party does not value lineage or legacy in which the new leader emphasized saying that he would rather focus on present and future challenges than the party's "past achievements and historical significance."
