Medinat Dpt. crumbling under pressure on Vascania & Rapa Pile
February 5538
Yishelem, Beiteynu - The notorious BeiGov agency under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, once center of the Yeudi Homeland's expansionism for centuries with its "independence" having infringed on the independence of others multiple times, is now crumbling under lobbying and political pressure to release a statement and clarify Beiteynu's position on the recent regional conflict and the ongoing situation with Vascania and Rapa Pile.
The Holy Land's silence has largely been attributed to the Yeudish shipping's dominance in distribution across more than a dozen countries in the Vamaj Network, the decentralised oil and gas supply and distribution network that currently sees Vascania as its largest 1st stage supplier (producer).
-
However, Yeudish shipping is now a shadow of its former self; 1 conglomerate went bankrupt during the Trigunian debacles of the 54th century, another shut down its operations across the entire continent of Seleya during the War of Lost Souls with Lourenne.
And as of late, major acquisitions from N&D, Lourenne and Vanuku have further decreased even Hadayim's lobbying power.
Including that of the Luthorian-Yeudi Benowitzes, one of the Kadmonin of the House of Elior from Sholemberg.
-
With other countries in the network sitting mostly silent, including Beiteynu's primary trade partner in Narikaton and Darnussia, Vascania's own press releases affirming its commitment to continuous supply and the Security Council not pursuing a resolution following the passage of Kanjor's motion in the WCGA, the Medinat Dpt. seems keen to stick to its policy of silence, for "avoiding catastrophic consequences for Vascania and Beiteynu itself".
The commentary in press conferences is usually a variation of "the Yeudi Homeland, despite its past digressions, has never involved itself with regional affairs that posed no risk to the Neset and the Yeudi People"; and questions from journalists are always a variation of "how long can Beiteynu stay silent".
Tactical and cooler heads seem to acknowledge the inherent risks of "ephemeral situations in geopolitics".
