King Sigismund I Passes Away, Princess Anna Elizabete Il to Become Queen

The Royal Palace sadly relayed the news that King Sigismund the First Died in his sleep last night. His eldest Daughter who is 25 years old will be taking the throne as Queen.

It saddens us to tell the people of Dolgavia that their King Sigismund Rothringen-Ludwig has died on the morning of February 12th of the year of our lord 4740. He lived a happy life and was devoted to his people and the country he loves. He helped many many people and was a joy in the life of many. We would like to invite all Dolgavians and foreigners who want to pay their respects to do so on February 23rd which will be when the King will be buried. We encourage everyone to please leave the royal family be and let them mourn in peace. For the Princess this will be a troubling time as she begins the next chapter of her life as Queen.

The Princess has made no comments about the death of her father and the Royal Family has been understandable quiet.


The Prime Minister Speaking Before the Reichstag This Morning

The Prime Minister offered his condolences to the Reichstag before weekly questions and invited the assemble to speak their memories and thoughts of the king.

King Sigismund was a symbol of Dolgavian Exceptionalism. He was a true noble gracious, king. He stayed out of public spotlight and was there whenever his people and the government needed him. I met with him last week before his passing and like always we had a friendly chat as I relayed everything I was doing to him. His laugh and smile always made the meetings much more enjoyable and I looked forward to them. I was deeply saddened by this news and I would like to encourage any MP on this floor to take some moments to pay their respects to the King and his wife. However this is not the end. The new Queen, Queen Anna I am confident will lead in her father's footsteps. She has already been a ambassador of peace as she has visited many countries to represent her country. I have met her only a few times but I can assure you her humbleness and devotion to her country are apparent. She does not search for fame as most young princesses would. She took her job as princess seriously and she will take her job as Queen seriously. I trust that she will be the Queen we need during these times. Long Live the Queen!!!!!

New Queen Speaks to the Reichstag and Nation

Exactly 8 months after King Sigismund the first's passing the New Monarch Queen Anna Elizebata ll fresh from her coronation last week, arranged a window of time for her to speak to the Reichstag this morning. By law speakers must announce their intentions, 24 hours in advance and must get permission from the Leader of the Reichstag. Anna got both of these and so as the assembly began their daily proceedings, the Queen made her entrance. The legislatures were given 15 minute preparation before her arrival and several alerted national TV and Radio Stations. When the Queen began to speak 2 cameramen had entered the balcony and were filming. Her speech was as follows.

Dear Members of This Assembly, My Fellow Dolgavians and the International Community. For hundreds of years the role of the monarchies across Terra has been shunned. I can truthfully report Dolgavia after the reinstatement of the monarchy has been good and generally wonderful to me and my family. However even in this country where the royalty is respected and cherished we are afraid to help our country. My father was afraid to speak out against things that happened over his reign because he felt out of place. The Dolgavian Monarchy has taken a major step back. I fault no one in this but it is the sad truth. Once the Royal Palace held many banquets and formal occasions and festivals but now it only stands as a tourist attraction. In a constitutional monarchy the Royalty has a job to do. However this has been almost non-existent over these past few years. The job of a monarchy is to promote freedom, justice and to represent our nation abroad, not sit idle doing nothing all day. As Queen I will change this.

I will not be like monarchs of the past. I will be much more open. I will represent my country and my people abroad and promote Dolgavia to anyone willing to listen. I will be an international ambassador as well and support organizations and movements devoted to helping people and making sure that everyone is treated with respect. I will promote international goodwill and I will mediate and help solve crisis and conflicts as they arise. At home I will start broadcasts every Hallowtide (OOC: Christmas) and also Triumph Sunday (OOC: Easter). I will stay out of domestic politics as it is not my job to interfere but if a dire situation arises where I must protect Dolgavia I will not back down. Every Crisis I will speak works of comfort and hopefully wisdom to all Dolgavians. My point is that I do not want to just be idle and complacent. I want to help my people and the world. I want to be the voice of Dolgavia in dark and happy times. I want to be the Queen the people of this country have lacked for such a long time because we have been too nervous to say anything.

She made her way quickly back to the Royal Limousine and back to the Royal Palace with little fan fair as reporters rushed to figure out her whereabouts. If the Queen sticks to what she said she will do this will mark a new completely different chapters in the monarchies history.

Dolgavia Follows other Governments in Enforcing a Travel Ban on Likatonia

The Reichstag passed an act that would ban all travel to and from Likatonia for the time being. They follow in the footsteps of Dorvik and Keymon as they created similar bans. This in retaliation to several shady actions taken by the Government of Likatonia over the past 50 years. Actions such as leaving the World Congress, Actively Supporting a Branch of Hosianism which is tearing the Hosian faith apart and Using a Massive Corporation the Hamilton Company to found these churches. The Prime Minister spoke to reporters today after the annoucement.

For many years we have watched the Likatonians. They have spread their puppets across Terra from Jelbania to Hulstria. We will not have our Aurorian population subjected to such propaganda and such. This is not Religion anymore, the Reformists have turned into a State Run Cult to try and push their agenda. I am not a Hosian I hae no connection to the Aurorian Church. I am a proud Atheiest, however this open separation of Hosianism will not happen in this country.

The Queen in an television interview was asked about her thoughts on the travel ban and she offered critical responses.

As a country we should be a strong supporter of unifying not dividing Terra. We should be working out this new event through friendship not banning people because events are happening. I am troubled by this bill but I trust the government will make it work out in the end.

Dolgavia and Lourenne Work Together on New Hydroelectric Powerplants at Sea

Dolgavia Hidroelektrostacija is working with Lourenne companies to build design concept plans for a new kind of Hydroelectric Plant. This would harness the power of the ocean and the tides to produce power. The Largest Energy Company in Dolgavia is partnering with Lourennian Energy Companies to build a more sturdy efficient power station. The new project will be centered in the port city of Jekabvinas on the Island of Kizon. CEO of Dolgavia Hidroelektrostacija, Reinvalds Krūmiņš made a statement about the project saying

We are proud to move forward to a future where we will use more water to power our cities. We will harness the power of waves to make sure that Dolgavia continues it's pursuit of practical energy that works. Lourenne has been the pioneer of Green Energy for hundreds of years. We will work with them to make sure that these power plants are done right. We hope that this new project propels Dolgavia to new horizons where we harness the ocean to get power for out cities and communities.

No details on how long this project will take or how long until these power plants are used has been released yet.

Benton Makes Speech Responding to Dolgova, Request Meeting With Queen

Dolgova has every right as a nation to restrict travel, however that doesn't make it right, they have lied, just like everybody else. They say the government of Likatonia has backed this religion, that is not true, they just didn't intervene, we are used to lies like this, it appears to have become the statues qou. I am calling for a unified church, we did not leave the Aurorians because we wanted to divid Terra, we left them because we felt that the church had drifted to far away from true Hosanism, right now we need to be focusing on the mases that do not believe not squabbling and closing borders. The Queen of Dolgova is the only high up official that appears not to support this decision which is why I am requesting a meeting with her, not to try to convert her, but to try to work with her for unity.

This Year Marks 42 since the Bloody Dolgavian Civil War between the Government and the Socialist-Syndicalists. During these 42 years much has changed. This article will go into depth about what the government and the 3 PM's that followed this crisis have done.

Beginning Years:

The first few years of rebuilding were tough. The stock market and the economy were in ruin. The government passed successive reforms including lowering of interest rates, taxes and lowering harmful restrictions to businesses. During this time they also began to talk to the Kingdom of Dorvik about possible international assistance to the government's rebuilding process. The Konigsbahn was completed during this time as well as Dolgavian's became connected more than ever.

Dorvik's Assistance:

The rebuilding process went into high gear when the Kingdom of Dorvik announced assistance using several programs. On the civil side of things several Dorvish companies invested money in building up Dolgavian infrastructure. Their help created things such as the Wolfgang Petermann Airforce Base which now guards the Island of Kizon and the Coast of Dolgavia with complex radar installations, and fighter squadrons. Many bridges and public works projects were overhauled and rebuilt. Some major projects include the dredging of Dolgaviaopolis Harbor and the rebuilding of the docks and harbor facilities in Dolgavaopolis. Also the civil arm of the Artanian Defense Group helped rebuild the troubled main airline in Dolgavia, Dolgavia Skyway. Dolgavia Skyways now does daily flights out of all major Dolgavia cities and takes Dolgavians to many international destinations and to many countries. The container and freight industry was also helped from the brink as they were given new investments and opportunities to grow. The steel industry was revitalized as it strode close to the brink. The timber industry rebounded as markets opened up to sell Dolgavian timber. All of this made possible by Dorvik's help. Also Dorvik helped to co-found several business schools that have given employees new opportunities like never before.

On the military side of things the Artanian Defense Group provided the Unionfighter block-D which gave the Dolgavian military the most state of the art fighter jet in Terra. With Dorvik help the Wolfgang Petermann Force Base was completed and the Naval Base in Dolgavaopolis was also finished with dock yard facilities to harbor the Dolgavian fleet and any other world power if needed. Anti Air Missile Emplacements were also installed along the Dolgavian Coasts with Radar installations. The Military was also overhauled as older technology was scrapped for modern equivalents. The Dolgavian Armed Forces is not large but well equipped and well trained for anything thrust it's way. Without the help of Dorvik the Dolgavia would be many years behind where they are today.

The next phase took place once the economy started to rebuild. Dolgavia Hidroelektrostacija got the contract to rebuild Dolgavia's energy sector. They with Lourenne designers built 6 major hydroelectric stations along 5 different rivers. These stations have provided power to millions of Dolgavian citizens as the energy sector stopped relying so much on Fossil Fuels. Now Dolgavia Hidroelektrostacija is the largest company in Dolgavia and runs a majority of the Dolgavian energy sector. Now their recent project will push Dolgavian engineering to the brink of a new frontier as they will create a first of it's kind ocean powered energy power plant. Lourenne and Dolgavia look to push the new frontier in Energy technology as this plan gets started.

The military expanded as well by itself. Using dockyards built during the rebuild the Dolgavian Navy reinforced it's Small Craft with over 20 small patrol vessels aimed at taking out pirates, ODEN anda other imposters.

Over these past 40 years Dolgavia has rebounded. From a civil war to pushing the limit of technology now, Dolgavia is in a much better spot. However Dolgavia will continue to grow and develop over these next few years as they look to grow the still small Dolgavian economy. Times are looking bright in Dolgavia.

Last night the Dolgavian State Banquet took place in the Prime Minister's residence. All state and territory governors and members of the PM's cabinet along with high ranking officials in the Reichstag attended. The Queen was also present at the event where she announced her engagement to the Brother of the Duke of Kizon, of the House of Grosevner an ancient royal family in Dolgavia. Other guests included the CEO of Dolgavia Hidroelektrostacija, Valentins Graudiņš annouced his plan of creating the first prototype wave harnessing power plants.

For Researchers off the Island of Kizon on Thursday a new milestone in Dolgavian History went to sea. The first prototype "wave riding" power generator was installed and now bobs 2 miles out to sea from the City of Jekabvinas. Dolgava Hidroelektrostacija's CEO Valentins Graudiņš called the first project a "great achievement". The power station now lies 2 miles off the Goodenheim Jetty in the Northwestern Current. The Mach 1 or the initial testing model for future power generators. The power plant can achieve 2MW of power and can give energy for approximately 2000 homes.

Graudiņš commented on the new technology by saying this

This project has been a challenge for Dolgava Hidroelektrostacija. We have spent over 2 years building this prototype model. We have used new technology including a titanium based hull for the power station for extra durability. Also the prototype has easy access for workers and repairmen alike. This model is also unique in that it will theoretically handle the ice that we experience up here quite often. The Titanium hull helps with that. We will test this model for the next 10 months and we will compile the information we need. We think that we can make cheaper and cheaper versions of this power station costs around 1.4 million DOLs. My goal and the many scientists working on this project's goal is to provide Dolgavia with an abundance of power and eventually we can sell this new technology overseas to countries exploring new options for power. The research team and I are very excited as we see both Lourenne and our developments on this innovative technology. This could be the new workhorse that powers rural coastal communities which Dolgavia has an abundance of. When the ice comes we are still not sure about power generation during those time but we are considering many options including a heating system to keep the ice off of these machines. For now we are keeping the area around the generators clear with ice breakers but next winter we are going to not be doing that. We are going to put the Mach 1 through the elements and we hope it will react like we want it to. If it doesn't we will try heating systems or anti ice nets. We have many good ideas and I can't wait to use these ideas in practice. We will be building a second variant after 3 months of testing of the Mach 1 so that we can fix some issues we believe are present. Until then we are going to monitor this new station and we will use it. These are exciting times!

The Mach 1 will be powering its own research equipment making the whole project energy self sufficient. The project is partially funded by the Dolgavian Economic and Research Devolopment Fund which funds new and innovative technology in all sectors of the economy. Dolgava Hidroelektrostacija's stocks have risen by 20% after the launch and successful first day of the Mach 1 as the Aikums Stock Exchange rallies 800 points putting the total at 29, 677.554 to end the day the highest which is a record high.

This new wave technology could see power plants become the size of tennis courts and several of these could sit off of coastal communities and power them. The technology is still in it's infancy but for Dolgava Hidroelektrostacija and Lourenne it is an exciting time.

4 Major Dolgavian Airlines Merge Creating Large New Dolgavian Airlines

4 Regional Airlines Have Announced a Merger which could have long lasting impacts on the way you travel. We will inform you to let you know what has happened and what has changed.

What Happened?

Four Regional Airlines, The Government Run Dolgavia Skyway, Private Aikums Airways, Kizon Airlines (the regional airlines to the Island of Kizon) and Keris Airways the regional Airlines for the continent of Keris based in Dolgavia. The Reichstag approved the merger this past week and all four companies announced the new Airline would become a reality. This marks the first large scale airline to be created in Dolgavia for many years. The new airline is entirely private as the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport Daniēls Pretkalniņš signed a order privatizing Dolgavia Skyway last week. The merger does not affect minor airlines still serving remote regions of Dolgavia and Kizon. Dolgavia Airlines will be any tickets from all four previous airlines and when you arrive at the airport they will assist you with what flight you will be on.

The new airline will start service immediately and its spread and routes are still being developed and worked on. CEO Hannah Strautmanis who previously was on the Dolgavia Skyways board of directors sat down for an interview this morning to discuss this new company.

Interviewer: So how did you get the job of leading this company?
Hannah: Well I served on the board of Dolgavia Skyways for 4 years, I helped the company expand to all regions of Dolgavia and to all countries in Keris and Dorvik, Lourenne and several other countries. I was directly in charge of the budget comity for 2 of those years and I was directly responsible for how much we spent on things and such.
Int: Why a New Airlines?
Hannah: The Prime Minister has stated several times that he wants the private sector expanded in Dolgavia. He wants the private sector to flourish. However he felt that Skyways was against this because the government had created it with the civil funds from the Dorvik Economic Package. Dolgavia Airlines is what the four largest Dolgavian Carriers have envisioned for each of their companies. We all realize that if we work together we will be able to spread to further places and to carry more people across Teris and Terra.

The new Airlines will use Artanian Defense Group airplanes from that are being sold to Dolgavian Companies. The company is still trying to figure out routes and flights but for now they ask the public to be patient and to give extra time for when you travel on an airplane.
