TSAR IS SHOCKED AT GREAT INDRALAN CONDEMNATION
After the recent condemnation of Trigunia by the Great Indralan Emperor and increase in military drills, our Tsar has spoken to the people about this. This is his speech:

I speak to my people and the world. Recently, my Indralan counterpart, has published a statement effectively condemning our action in Baltusian waters, and has began extensive military drills. However, we will reply by increasing military spending, especially on improving training techniques and building up on nuclear capability. The Emperor of Great Indrala says that he is trying to protect the Indralan sphere of influence, and calls the Trigunian action in Baltusian waters as "imperialism", however the Tsar said that Trigunia has its own sphere of interests in Seleya, especially in co-operation with Kalistan, and what Indrala calls an "intervention", was a way of making sure that the crisis would be resolved faster. And regarding the "imperialism", we did not invade anyone, we just pushed the Baltusian government into concluding the de-escalation agreement with Kalistan. If anyone is imperialistic, it is, in fact, Great Indrala. My people, I thank you.

PRIME MINISTER ASKS TO START TRIGUNO-INDRALAN RELATIONS FROM A CLEAN SHEET
Because of the recent crisis between Trigunia and Great Indrala, the Trigunian Chairman of the Committee of Ministers has released a statement regarding the crisis and a proposal to "forget our past quarrels". The statement is here:

Recently, due to the Triguno-Indralan crisis, I have sent a message to the Indralan ambassador in Petrovgrad stating that the Emperor's stern reply to the Indralan condemnation is because he overreacted at the Indralan Emperor's statement. He said that "the statement was insulting, however, I should have behaved more diplomatically, and instead of following their lead of calling us imperialistic, I should have shown my condolences, but also requested for a statement asking for forgiveness from the Indralan side". So, I ask the same thing, let us forgive each other for our former misdoings and the insults we have thrown towards each other, and begin our relationship from a clean sheet, because the Trigunian government which betrayed Great Indrala, and the government which had declared war on Trigunia in the Terran World War has changed since then. I ask, and so does the Emperor, and so do the people, to forget our past quarrels. Thank you.

THE WORLD IS RELIEVED
After the Indralan Emperor has accepted the Trigunian apology, the world has been relieved of the crisis many political scientists claimed would descend into war. It seems like the faces of politicians have brightened up all across Terra, but, as the Trigunian Prime Minister so correctly stated:

There are still unresolved problems, like the two communist uprisings in Deltaria and Baltusia and the recent bombings in Kalistan. However, I believe my colleagues all over Terra have finally got a chance to breath normally for at least the near future.

TRIGUNIAN NEWSPAPER INFORMATION
The national newspaper, "Речь Народа" ("Speech of the People"), must be unbiased. However, you may put biased articles under the following newspapers:

"Свет Революции" ("Light of Revolution")
This is a broadsheet newspaper, and it is the most extreme left-wing newspaper in Trigunia, and generally takes a moderate view on social issues. It is rather nationalistic in tone, and despises anything more right-wing than socialism. It takes an isolationist line, unless it comes to world revolution, when it supports any communist uprising around Terra.

"Освобождение" ("Liberation")
This is a broadsheet newspaper, and it is viewed as the centre-left/moderate left newspaper, and always takes liberal views on social issues. It is patriotic in tone, but definitely not nationalist. They are neutral when it comes to other's policies, but have been noted to criticise the conservative papers. It takes a very internationalist line, and always supports the government making new treaties and agreements.

"Независимая" ("Independent")
This is a broadsheet newspaper, and it is the centre to centre-right newpaper, and often takes libertarian views on social issues. They often criticise the "Light of Revolution", but otherwise they do not mind what the other papers say. It takes a neutral line towards foreign affairs.

"Обозреватель" ("Observer")
This is a broadsheet newspaper, and it is considered to be a right-wing newpaper, and mostly takes liberal views on social issues. They criticise the leftist papers, but otherwise they are neutral. It takes a moderate line towards foreign affairs.

"Красная Звезда" ("Red Star")
This is a tabloid newspaper, and it is a left-wing newpaper, and mostly takes liberal views on social issues. The paper is patriotic (some even say they are nationalist) and they often side with the "Light of Revolution", but they do not criticise other papers. It takes a internationalist line towards foreign affairs.

"Голос Свободы" ("Voice of Freedom")
This is a tabloid newspaper, and it is viewed as a populist newpaper, and always takes the popular views on social issues. It is patriotic and it often sides with the broadsheet which supports the current government's policies, and they criticise other anti-governmental newspapers. It takes the current government's line on foreign affairs.

"Правая Правда" ("Right Truth")
This is a tabloid newspaper, and it is considered as an extreme-right newpaper, and always takes the conservative views on social issues. They are highly nationalist and criticise all other papers. It takes an extremely isolationist line on foreign affairs.

DUKE VICTOR STEPANOV'S FINANCIAL REFORMS PROPOSED TO THE IMPERIAL ASSEMBLY
The Minister of Finance, Duke Victor Stepanov, has spoken in the State Duma and asked all to vote in favour of his proposed economic and financial reforms because of the tax cuts on luxury goods and businesses and corporations, and limiting the government's intervention in the economy. His speech is below:

I stand here before you to support my bill on the reformation of the financial and economic system. I propose to provide tax cuts on businesses and corporations and luxury goods, as well as letting the economy fluctuate, and only intervene when there is no other choice.

TRIGUNIAN TROOPS ASSIST WEST DELTARIA TO PUT DOWN THE INSURGENCY IN THE SOUTH
General-from-the-Cavalry Count Fyodor Rodionov has been ordered by the Tsar to assist the Deltarian Armed Forces to eliminate the insurgents in the south of the nation. The Tsar spoke to his people about this:

I speak to the brotherly nations of Trigunia and Deltaria. The Trigunian Empire will do everything to make sure the true and rightful Deltarian monarchy will live on as long the Trigunian Empire remains a sovereign nation. If this involves putting down rebellions, fighting wars or persuading nations diplomatically, we will do so, for they are our Delic brothers and sisters. We will continue to remain allies until the end of both of our great nations, for when the Trigunian Empire lives, the Kingdom of Deltaria will live as well.

DUKE STEPANOV RETIRES FROM THE POST OF MINISTER OF FINANCE; RACE WITHIN THE GOVERNMENT FOR NEW POSITION
Soon after his reform went through the Imperial Assembly, Duke Victor Stepanov, due to old age, retires from his post of Minister of Finance, while still retaining a seat in the Duma. The Chairman of the Committee of Ministers, Duke Alekseev, has said that he is sorry to see his friend and colleague to leave, but thanks him for his job as minister. Within the government itself, a race has began for the post of Minister of Finance. The main candidates for the newly vacated position are the current Director of the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance, Baron Dmitriy Korablev, Director of the Investment Department of the Ministry of Finance, Grigoriy Davidov, the Director of the Construction Department of the Ministry of State Property, Konstantin Abramov, who actually is a member of the Military Party, the Minister of Agriculture, Major Vasliliy Saveliev, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Counter-Admiral Baron Nikita Nikolayev and the Director of the Department of Light Industry of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Yulia Ushakova, also a member of the Military Party (all others are Kadet Party members). It is yet unknown who will receive the post, but the campaigning is well underway.

BARON KORABLEV BECOMES MINISTER OF FINANCE
After many months of discussion, consultation and careful thinking, the Emperor of all Trigunia, Vladimir II, has signed the act bringing Baron Dmitriy Korablev to the post of Minister of Finance. This has brought no surprises, as Korablev was a loyal supporter of Alekseev and Stepanov, and was the obvious choice. He has thanked the Tsar and has proposed to allow Trade Unions to go on strike without having to hold a ballot, a popular move drawing Trade Unions to vote for the Kadets, since two left parties were founded in Trigunia recently.

TRIGUNO-DELTARIAN TROOPS CONTINUE ATTACKS ON COMMUNIST INSURGENTS
Lately, because of the amount of assaults launched on the territory of the communist insurgents in the south of West Deltaria, the revolutionaries' lines are beginning to crumble and they have pulled back for many kilometres. It is, however, unclear when the insurgency will be entirely wiped out, but both the monarchs of Trigunia and Deltaria want the fighting to stop soon, in fear of high casulaties.

DUKE KIRILL ALEKSEEV DIES
Yesterday, tragedy struck for the House of Alekseev as Colonel Duke Kirill Alekseev, former Prime Minister, has died, aged 72. Until his last moments he was always involved in every aspect of politics and showed no sign of resigning from any of his posts. He died peacefully and without suffering any pain, from a stroke during the night. In the Konstitutsionno-Demokraticheskaya Partia, a race for the vacated position as Archchancellor of the Party has begun, while the Alekseevs mourn the deceased. We will remember him as a great and intelligent statesman and politician, the soldiers he commanded as a brave and clever officer and by his family as a loving father and husband. The Emperor personally passed his deepest condolences to the Alekseevs and visited their residence. Later, he gave a speech highlighting the deceased Duke Alekseev's achievements. We hope His Grace will rest peacefully in God's Kingdom.
