Operation Sea Lion
March, 4786

On the 23rd of March, 4876, Operation Sea Lion was launched. This ambitious operation looked to surprise the IRK and land on the northern coast of Penghonai. The operation was planned thoroughly, and it was thought that it was going to be very successful. The IRK, however, was aware of the operation. They had set up defences all around the coast and were ready to push back. When the operation began, it was a slaughterhouse. Most of the troops were not even able to get out of their landing craft. Those who were able to then had the difficult task of pushing up the beach, with machine-gun fire raining over them. The operation was called off after only 2 hours, and the troops retreated back to the ships. However, it did not end there. The Integralist airforce then assaulted the defenceless ships. Over sixteen ships were sunken. When the troops finally got home, the Secretary of Defense, Szalai Vilmos offered a public apology for the failure.

The Integralist forces took advantage of a disorganised and demoralised Union to push further in. They got so close to the capital, that Quintinus Vespacius made the following statement: "As we said before, we had been considering to locate the capital to Jildrath City if Kasaema was to be heavily endangered. After today's events, we see that it is. Because of that, we are now making it official and locating the new capital of the Kundrati Union in Jildrath City".

The Fall of Celania
September, 4786

Although some small portions of land still remain under Unionist control, it is safe to say that Celania has fallen. Following the failed Operation Sea Lion, the IRK made a massive push on all fronts, This lead to the collapse of the Union in Celania. The region is now under IRK control and the Union has no way of getting it back. The KNN sends a message of hope to all the trapped refugees there and tells them to resist as long as possible.

Following the fall of Celania, many people inside the inner circle have said that Botica and Narribay have been fighting a lot. What this internal fighting will bring, remains to be seen.

The Kingdom of Kundrati
May, 4787

Over the past few months, the leaders of the IRK, Eladi Narribay and Goran Botica have been fighting and growing apart. Today, the fighting has reached such a level that Narribay has decided to leave the IRK. He seized control of a little under half of their troops and moved to the newly conquered Celania. There, they established the Kingdom of Kundrati. A new nation that goes against both the Kundrati Union and the Integralist Republic. This turns the war we are going through into a three-way civil war. Quintinus Vespacius made the following statement regarding the Kingdom: "Although we are glad that Mr Narribay has seen that Goran Botica is not good for our nation, it saddens us to see that he still fights the government. We will not recognize the Kingdom of Kundrati as a nation and we will continue to fight them to free the peoples of Jelkania, Penghonai and Celania".

Equipment Shortages in the North
June, 4787

Due to the Kingdom of Kundrati declaring themselves independent, the IRK's army now has shortages of supplies. Sources tell us that of the 100% of their army, over 35% have no guns and over 60% are currently suffering from malnutrition. Many analysts here at KNN believe that these shortages will allow both the Kingdom and the Union to fight against the Integralists.

Operation Seamoth is Succesful!
May, 4788

A week ago, Operation Seamoth launched from Jildrath. The operation sought to arrive at Celania. From there, they would push from the beaches, as well as from the south. The operation was a resounding success. Few casualties were suffered and the army was able to push into Celania. This success looks like a game-changer. Could this operation mark the beginning to the end of the Kingdom of Kundrati?

The Death of Delegate Milon Ortueta
May, 4788

Today is a sad day for our nation. Milon Ortueta, the Kundrati Delegate to the World Congress died earlier today after his plane was shot down when flying over Pligon. The delegate, who had been asking for some sort of assistance from the World Congress, had come back to Kundrati for reasons unknown to the public. As he flew over Pligon, his plane was ambushed by the Integralist airforce. They shot down all of their escorts, as well as the plane itself. The only survivor, the co-pilot Lieutenant Hegio Quatruus, said the following: "Mr Ortueta acted heroically. When he saw our escorts going down, he didn't lose his cool. He tried to save everyone. When we went down, he helped to push a metal beam from my leg. He went down after saving me because the beam was holding up where he was. I owe Mr Ortueta my life". Mr Ortueta, as well as all of the crew members who died in the same attack, will be remembered. We have heard from many rumours that Antipho Luzi will be Ortueta's successor.

THE KINGDOM OF KUNDRATI CAPITULATES
7th of August, 4788

Earlier this morning, the leader of the Kingdom of Kundrati, Eladi Narribay, made the following statement, "This war has been long enough. The cost of life has been immense. From the beginning of this war to today, over 5 million people have died. It is time for this war to stop. Because of this, earlier today I signed the capitulation of the Kingdom of Kundrati. We agree to go back to the Kundrati Union. I now see the error of my ways. I now encourage every member of the Kingdom's army to join the Union's army, to defeat the Integralists. I myself will join their army as an advisor, to help take down Goran Botica's regime. I hope that with the Kingdom's help, we can bring this war to an end". After the press conference, many of the former members of the Kingdom joined the Union. Their partition with the IRK had left them bitter.

Although this was a win, the Union's army does not stop. The army will now push with all their strength into IRK territory. Here in KNN, we have heard that the IRK ordered a massive retreat. Of this is true, the Union's army could be walking right into a trap. That, however, remains to be seen. Today we rejoice with the end of the war in one of the fronts.

Bloody November
November, 4788

Remember back in August when we predicted that the IRK was preparing a trap. Well, it happened. The army had orders to not run directly at the IRK, in fear of a trap. The former Royalist troops, however, were still furious with the IRK and they disobeyed orders and attacked them directly. This was a mistake. The IRK had dug up trenches and they were ready for them. The still ill-equipped Royalists were slaughtered. They charged with the hopes of overwhelming the defenders. They couldn't. The attack lasted only a week and a half, but we hear that the casualties are in the hundreds of thousandths. The estimate is that around 500k soldiers died in the shot offensive, which is now referred to as Bloody November.

After the slaughter, the Union also dug trenches. The war is now at a stalemate, as both sides wait for the other to make a move.

Failed Negotiations in Hugamest, Battle of the Unholy Sea
January, 4789

Over the past 2 weeks, the first attempts to get peace were made. Both the Union's Consul, Quintinus Vespacius, and the leader of the IRK, Goran Botica, met in the Endralonian city of Hugamest. There, Botica presented his demands: The IRK will be recognised by Kundrati as an independent nation, and they will control all of Penghonai. The Consul rejected the request. This led to Botica storming out of the negotiation table. Before leaving he stated that if his demands are not met, the war will continue until one of the 2 sides is defeated. The representative sent by Endralon to oversee the negotiations tried to calm Botica down but without success.

After the negotiations, the Battle of the Unholy Sea took place. Narribay's knowledge of Botica proves essential. The Kundrati Union's navy is able to almost completely destroy the Integralist navy. This success, however, comes at a cost. Narribay, who was leading the operation from the KUS Athol died. The ship was sunk and Narribay had no chance to escape, as did the other 134 souls who went down with him. Although Narribay died, the Union sees this as a major victory, and as a turning point in marine warfare. For the first time, The IRK is at a naval disadvantage.
