Tel Bira, Beiteynu - Since its foundation in 5227, the Equifund has provided a boost of over 17B LOD in investments to companies in the defense and technology sector so far, operating in some form within Beiteynu. An understandable side-effect could be said, however, about the exponential increase of educational costs in Beiteynu's higher education institutions, as the requirements for specialisation have risen accordingly. As Kafuristan now enters the Accord of Partnership - which it and the Accord of Trade have incorporated into their provisos - the Equifund Agreement now marks 14 sovereign nations who have opened up these investment gateways with access to Beiteynu's more than 5B LOD annual government surplus over the last 5 years.
While the initiative has seen more than 1.500 startups in both the defense and technology sectors - while most of them failed and some were gulped by industry giants, as the Equifund's office in Beiteynu has reported throughout the years, ultimately the players who rose above the challenges of growth can be counted down to the most familiar names in Beiteynuese markets. Tikkun Haganah (otherwise known as TikHag), which shot to stardom after securing multi-million dollar deals during the civil war in Kundrati, has become the nation's biggest small arms manufacturer. Keshet Systems, on the other hand, could be said that it represents TikHag's military equipment arm, as the latter maintains substantial equity in the former, with a focus on artillery, tanks, missile equipments, guiding systems and transportation vehicles for both land and sea.
The Tel Bira Aerospace Corporation is another example of a company entering the big league after collaborating with AUDISS from Istalia on the release of the IBAE-400. Although the Beiteynuese manufacturer provides parts for the aircraft, the deal brought massive amounts of revenue from across Terra, in a time when intelligence operations have been steadily on the rise. The company has been collaborating closely with Aristocrat Military Technologies - another big player in aerospace technology and a subsidiary of Majatran conglomerate Aristocrat Insurance Ltd. - on aircraft parts and technology for commercial, military and intelligence use. It's worth noting, however, that neither company has produced their own proprietary aircraft, yet, although their stakeholder reports indicate that the pipeline does indeed include such a case for the end of the century.
Tzafrir Defense Industries, founded originally by Baruch Lea Tzafrir's grandfather in the 5100s specialises in defense and naval military equipment. The company saw its revenues especially skyrocket during the Malivian crisis, while it has kept up production on defensive systems for naval vessels since the deployment of Beiteynuese naval forces to Kundrati, as well. The company has confirmed that a development of a naval cruiser has been underway since 5240.
Aristocrat Energetical, another subsidiary of Aristocrat Insurance Ltd., has led the MOIT's nuclear energy plan since 5228 and is now the biggest player in northeast Majatra, driving the discussions on the upcoming joint NUCLEOBEIST Agreement with the government of Istalia.
A few other players who have benefited indirectly from the exponential growth of the defense and technology industry in Beiteynu are Bei Airlines and United Medinat, Beiteynu's biggest commercial airlines - although both suffered extraneous losses during the conflicts in Malivia and Kundrati - Tadraki Freight Shipping Ltd., the landlord of industrial shipping, who owns and operates a few of the biggest tankers in Majatra, Tadraki United Sealines and of course, Yishel Investment Group and Ashalon Bank BEIFG, 2 subsidiaries of Aristocrat Insurance Ltd. in the financial sector, now represent Beiteynu's economic pillars.
The new accords on trade and partnership have created immense opportunities for new commercial gateways, which could lead to further development and expansion of Beiteynu's rising giants across the continent and, well, the rest of Terra.
In the technology sector, it's worth noting that the advertising industry saw a massive boost as well, with companies establishing a foothold from performance marketing all the way to programmatic advertising and the holy grail of information technology, that is, machine learning. Although the government has been criticised on this matter, regulations on digital advertising are seemingly absent from national legislature. While the MOIT's Department of Digital Transformation & Governance has worked closely with the Tactical Bureau of Intelligence over the last decade on regulations, the judicial has seen a plethora of civil suits reach its courts. As both the Authority for Communication Security and Privacy and the Data Protection Authority have stated again and again, "it will take time".
Finally, Black Meisa, an obscure company operating facilities in the deserts of center and southeastern Beiteynu, is evidently the leader in research and development as its stamp can be met across countless contracts and reports, even originating from other private entities. Although it seems to maintain extended contracts with the MOD, MOST and the Agency itself, since there is limited information on the company's specialisation and projects, conspiracy theories have been running wild over the last 30 years, from teleportation devices to alien landings occurring in the starry desert nights.
