PDPSM FOUNDED
The People's Democratic Party of Socialist Monarchists has been established as a social democratic party promoting the restoration of the Trigunian monarchy. Monarchists had been disgruntled since the installation of the republican regime and rejoice as a monarchist party has risen to national politics. The party has elected Roman Vladimirov as leader, a former State Duma deputy from the Social Democrats, who decided to form a monarchist party built on socialist and liberal values. He was joined in this endeavour by foreign relations analyst Otto Oldenberg and former Colonel Boris Dmitriev. After gathering enough support, they registered the party, and monarchists began to join the party en masse.

VLADIMIROV CONDEMNS "SECULARISM ACT" AS OPPRESSIVE AND TOTALITARIAN

President of the Supreme Council of the People's Democratic Party of Socialist Monarchists, Roman Vladimirov has stated in a press conference yesterday that the Trigunian Social Democratic Labour Party's "Secularism Act" is in fact an "oppressive and totalitarian proposal, which can only be put forward by a party wishing to abolish civil rights and establish a dictatorial regime". Despite its innocent name, the so called "Secularism Act" is actually a bill aiming ban all religions. Many religious leaders have declared their support to the PDPSM, including the Trigunian Patriarch, and have significantly boosted their poll ratings, as religious voters have switched to the PDPSM.

TSDLP DEFEATED IN ELECTIONS
The long reigning Trigunian Social Democratic Labour Party has been defeated by opposition parties in the recent election. The largest party is the Reform Party (110 seats), with the People's Revolutionary Front second (109 seats) and People's Democratic Party of Socialist Monarchists third (106 seats). The TSDLP itself has taken 2nd last position in the State Duma (75 seats), while the Sasserist Party has come last (63 seats). The President is from the recently disbanded National Bolshevik Party, and the PDPSM has proposed to call another election. Nevertheless, the Duma has begun work, with the first proposals involving the legalisation of religion and reinstation of freedom of religion, and a coalition government proposal involving all parties but the TSDLP.

EARLY ELECTION RESULT
After the early elections called by the PDPSM, the TSDLP had collected most of the National Bolshevik Party's votes and has become the largest party in the Duma with 133 seats, and the Sasserist Party is now second with 115 seats and the Reform Party is third with 114 seats. The PDPSM is fourth with 100 seats and the PRF is last with 93 seats. The government consists of Reformists, Sasserists, PDPSM and PRF members but the President is a TSDLP member. Still, the Duma is bustling with activity with multiple bills being voted on.

FAR-RIGHT GAIN SEATS BUT GRAND COALITION RETAIN MAJORITY
After the elections, the far-right Trigunian National Alliance has emerged as the largest party in the Duma with 161 seats. Despite this, the Grand Coalition has retained is majority, with the Reform Party only one seat behind the TNA, holding 160 seats. The TSDLP lost both the Presidency and 47 seats, putting them at third place and 86 seats. Out of the losers, the PDPSM has lost the least losing 29 seats, consequently remaining in 4th place with 71 seats. The People's Revolutionary Front has gained the Presidency thank to the endorsement of the PDPSM, but they have lost 53 seats leaving them with 40 seats. The Sasserists however, have been hit the hardest. Losing a whopping 78 seats and getting relegated to last place in the Duma with only 37 seats. The new Duma has begun voting on multiple bills, including a new government proposal consisting merely of TSDLP, PDPSM and Reformists. We wish our legislators good luck.

NEW GOVERNMENT TAKES POWER
After the corresponding bill has been passed, a new government has taken office in Rodshyadam, consisting of TSDLP, PDPSM and Reform Party members, the latter of which has taken most of the positions, including the vital roles of Minister-president (Lavrentiy Klokov), Minister of Internal Affairs (Gabriel Rivers), Defence (Ivan Maklakov) and Justice (Yuliy Maklakov). The PDPSM holds the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs (Otto Oldenberg) and the TSDLP holds the position of Minister of Finance (Anatoly Kuragin). We hope the new government performs its duties.

PDPSM EMERGES LAST AS REFORMISTS AND TNA LOSE SEATS TO "LET'S GO"
In a surprising election, a major player in Trigunian politics, the People's Democratic Party of Socialist Monarchists, has been relegated to last place in the Duma and other parties, especially the Trigunian National Alliance and Reform Party have lost seats, while "Let's Go", the Sasserist Party and the People's Revolutionary Front all gained seats. The results are as follows:

EARLY ELECTIONS SAVE PDPSM AS TNA FALL
After a surprising turn of affairs, the powerful Reform Party collapsed and an early election was called. The results were partly expected. The rise of the PDPSM was obvious, since its reaffirmation for support of monarchial restoration and the absorption of some of the Reform Party's seats, however, the rise is much smaller than expected. Surprisingly the TNA have been pushed down to penultimate place losing 26 seats (mostly to "Let's Go"). Meanwhile, the continued rise of "Let's Go" in national politics is considered expected by some analysts and not by others. The Sasserist Party has gained one seat but due to larger rises in seats of other parties, is now again in last. The TSDLP and PRF both rose with a similar amount of seats, but due to the TSDLP's superior position from last election, the TSDLP is now the leading party, with the PRF second. The Social Democrats' rise was anticipated however the PRF's was not. These are the full results:

ECONOMIC REFORM ACT PASSES THROUGH DUMA
The Economic Reform Act has passed through the State Duma, despite only the PDPSM in favour of it. The bill, legalising any form of secondary strike action, abolishing sales tax for essential goods, nationalising some major defence industries and legalising prostitution, was passed due to the fact that all parties with parliamentary representation abstained from the bill, and only the Hosianism Front voiced discontent through protest marches, however, without any parliamentary seats, they did not influence the outcome.
