VESPA-BALDASSARE SHOCKS WITH HIS MINISTER CANDIDATES, LEAVES PEOPLE THINKING ABOUT POSSIBLE COAILITION WITH THE LEFT


His Excellency announced his fresh cabinet; he seemed very strained during the congress

Hugo Vespa-Baldassare, as per ULD tradition, announced his cabinet plan for the next term, as usually in the last quarter of the year preceding the election. The congress was shorter than usual (lasting two days), however, it appeared way more noteworthy than most preceding it. Not only was the list of Vice-Chairpeople revised, but also the ministers were a big shocker to many, leading up to hours upon hours of speculation and brainstorming, as well as countless theories. Everything that the media outlets came up with, however, was swiftly countered by Vespa-Baldassare by saying that

We want stability.

Tthe candidate for Foreign Affairs - Grimaldo Simonette. As minister of Internal affairs, he frequented many meetings of the Majatran Union and other international organizations that Istalia is a part of. Although most expected him to keep his seat as minister of Internal Affairs, he replaced Adriano Manfrin as the candidate for Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The candidate for Internal Affairs - Antero Reale. The once-candidate for Minister of Infrastructure and Transport took a big jump to become the candidate for minister of Internal Affairs, dubbed as the most important minister (though for the ULD, that would be the minister of finance). He heads the Party's structures in Padagna, served as mayor of Genevia (now he leads the ULD in the local parliament). He has a lot of experience in administration, and is dubbed as a wise choice.

The candidate for Finance - Ilia Geroferrato. A pretty big surprise, due to her way softer language and young age for a politcian. However, she did head, well, a bank for a few years, and is related to Giovanni Geroferrato once a member of the race for the party's presidential candidate and ex-national coordinator. She is, yet again, deemed as a logical choice.

The candidate for Defence - Diana Falanga. She did serve in the army, one of the very few ULD members to do so, and she does have experience in this field (however, she served as a medic). She is also the Mayor of Ulbia and also headed the party's youth wing for two months.

The candidate for Justice - Khaira Niazi. The third president of the ULD to be nominated for this seat, meaning that all were, at one point, expected to become the ministers of Justice. She is a lawyer and constitutionalist, she seved as the party's justice speaker.

The candidate for Infrastructure and Transport - Faust Adriani. The party's finance speaker, vice-minister of Finance, owner of multiple housing companies. Adriani also began his career in the ULD as an advisor to Manfrin, when he served as the minister of Infrastructure and Transport.

The candidate for Health and Social Services -Qhizma Nassar. She is a doctor (neurologist), a physician and chemist. She was the party's Deputies LEader and the resident of the Chamber of Deputies, and the current minister of Health and Social Services.

The candidate for Education and Culture - Elena Vespa-Baldassare. The daughter of Vespa-Baldassare, she headed not only the party's youth wing but she''s also an art historian, she de-facto ran her father's art collection, as well as, on his behalf, invested in various works of culture. She ran a pretty popular show about culture on her father's news network and appeared in many talk-shows. She's also a big social media influencer.

The candidate for Science and Technology - Islam Shamon-Baz. Once again, Shamon-Baz would assume the role of minister of Science and Technology. The party delegate and Manfrin's student would also be expected to become a Deputy Prime Minister alongside Simonette.

The candidate for Food and Agriculture - Carmen din Asa. Once the candidate for minister of Environment and Tourism, now she would assume the role of minister of Food and Agriculture. She's a senator and serves as the leader of a small anti-Issa faction within the ULD, actually.

The candidate for Environment and Tourism - Anastasio Balotelli. Probably the biggest surprise of the night, greeted with the biggest pause before the start of the wave of claps and ovations. This decision shocked many, and, according to specialists, makes no sense; other than the fact that Balotelli, on the night before his introduction to the role of candidate-for-minister announced a plan for reworking Istalia's tourism sector. He is also a military historian and owns a few hotels, so it is to assume that he will mostly focus on the "tourism" part of his possible future title if he is to assume it.

The candidate for Trade and Industry - Gianluigi Manzella. The Deputies Whip, also a man of not-so-sharp views and comments, is deemed as a very responsible man. He, due to his role in the party, is considered one of the more influential politicians in the ULD, and could potentially become the next Petralia.



Due to the nature of the newly proposed cabinet proposal, many speculations also regard the big missing piece: Adriano Manfrin. He was expected to either replace Petralia, or at least retain his role as candidate for minister of Foreign Affairs. However, that didn't happen, instead, he was replaced by Simonette, a younger, less radical politician. Some say that that is due to the fact that Vespa-Baldassare wishes to carve his place within the party and as his successor to be even safer, while others say that this may mean a change of preference to the aforementioned Simonette or even Adriani. We tried to contact the gentlemen themselves, to practically no avail.


Simonette only noted that Manfrin is "very good at what he does in Parliament", and that he thinks that losing him as the Deputy Chairperson would be a "big loss to the party"

PNP to be dissolved after Saajid al-Rassi retires

The election results have been nothing good for the Nationalists, which have been punished for concentrating on foreign instead of domestic affairs. Now, predicted to lose the ministry of FA, the Nationalists prepare a counter offensive. It started with two completely surprising statements of Paolo Vespa-Baldassare, none of which included his own political retirement which was expected due to the miserable last two elections:

I am sorry to everyone here, especially the PNP, but I will not retire. What will happen however is the following, the PNI/PNP will join the Istalia Per Valori political bloc to unite with our conservative brothers of the DHI - now Republicans. This is due to the fact that liberal doctrine has been running Istalia for too long and the last drop in the barrel fell following the support of our ULD allies for the Libertarian bill from the radicals.
This will provide more than a hundred seats in Parliament which stand for morals and dignity. We know this breaks the tradition of the PNI being the political alternative always, and hence bloc-less, but we are in a desperate situation needing allies.

Second bomb that i will drop today, again on the honorable PNP colleagues is the upcoming assimilation of our beloved sister party into the PNI as the goals of the party have outlived themselves and coincide so strongly with the PNI's that there is no point in this divide. The assimilation will occur as soon as the honorable PNP Leader Saajid al-Rassi retires. He has done a fantastic job as our whip throughout the years; hence he decides when the PNP ends and a united PNI begins. Do not worry, we will continuously fight for autonomy of Padagna, but now with full belief in the fact that Padagna is Istalia.

I would also like to congratulate Ms Adorinda for her great job in the Foreign Ministry and we hope that she will keep the ministerial position, despite the slim chances as everything seemingly goes to a disgusting 6 party left coalition. To be fair, our three party coalition was divided on many issues as well so we cannot be an example of productive 12 years.

FLORENZA - I risultati elettorali estremamente deludenti per il Partito ha portato la Direzione del Partito a rimettere le cariche al Congresso, rimane in carica solo il Segretario Borromeo.
La sig.ra Gori visibilmente delusa annuncia le dimissioni quale Presidente e il ritiro dalla poltica nazionale ma, dice, rimarrà una fervente attivista del PLI.
L'Assemblea vista la situazione convoca delle elezioni primarie anticipate per Aprile 4355, l'Assemblea vota anche per eleggere il Presidente provvisiorio:

- Beatrice Grande (ex governatrice Padagna e attuale vicesegretario): 88 voti

Grande coalizione di Governo pronta per la fiducia ma il popolo della sinistra scende in piazza
L'inaspettato accordo raggiunto tra ULD, PRI, AR, PV e PL, avanzato a seguito della rottura tra i Liberal Democratici ed i nazionalisti, ha scatenato le forti proteste di larghe fasce dell'elettorato di sinistra che, a seguito della maggioranza raggiunta, speravano in un governo guidato dai comunisti

ROMULA - Hugo Vespa-Baldassare pronto per essere ufficialmente confermato, per la quarta volta, alla testa del Consiglio dei Ministri. Il rieletto Oscar Lepera ha infatti nuovamente nominato il leader dell'Unione dei Liberal Democratici alla guida del gabinetto di governo, ma a differenza dei tre precedenti governi Vespa-Baldassare il governo sarà una Grande Coalizione formata dai Liberal Democratici, i Repubblicani, i Radicali, i Verdi ed i Laburisti.

La proposta, avanzata dall'ULD, aveva sorpreso molti ma poi dalla segreteria del maggior partito in parlamento sono giunte chiarificazioni sulla decisione di rompere il sodalizio con la destra ed in particolare con i Nazionalisti: i Liberal Democratici con il passare degli anni hanno sperimentato sempre maggiori difficoltà ad accordarsi con gli alleati di governo su temi quali il sociale e la politica estera, spingendo piuttosto su proposte che ULD non poteva sostenere. Infine, il passaggio della recente legge libertariana proposta dai Radicali, a quanto pare, è stata la goccia che ha fatto traboccare il vaso e che ha portato Demohosiani e Nazionalisti ad imparentarsi nella coalizione conservatrice "Istalia per i Valori", con il chiaro intento di contrastare la "perdita di valori morali nel paese".
ULD si è dunque deciso a rivolgersi al centro-sinistra per formare il nuovo governo, probabilmente l'ultimo per Vespa-Baldassare, con i Demohosiani che sicuramente, non potendo essere spalleggiati dai Nazionalisti, dovranno avere a che fare con Radicali, Laburisti e Verdi. ULD ha invitato i partiti moderati di sinistra ad accettare l'alleanza avanzando proposte proprio nel campo del sociale e della politica estera.

Molti, però, tra l'elettorato di sinistra hanno espresso tutta la loro delusione per l'accordo di governo, dato che la sinistra ed il centro-sinistra alle recenti elezioni aveva finalmente strappato la maggioranza alla destra e si prospettava dunque una coalizione di tutti i partiti dai Social Liberali di AR fino ai Comunisti passando per Laburisti, Verdi e Popolari.
Manifestazioni sono state organizzate nelle maggiori piazze del paese ed ovviamente tra i più arrabbiati l'elettorato comunista, estremamente deluso dal "tradimento" del centro-sinistra e che già considera tutto ciò come una terribile occasione mancata.
Endrigo Bellinguer, leader dei Comunisti, aveva già richiesto al capo dello stato, senza successo, di affidare proprio ai comunisti, seconda forza in parlamento, la guida di un governo di sinistra, formato dalla coalizione di "Area Socialista" (Comunisti e Popolari), dalla coalizione "Insieme per l'Istalia" (Radicali e Laburisti) ed infine i Verdi.



Per il momento sembrano non essere ancora giunte risposte dalle segreterie dei partiti della sinistra moderata, ma più di un opinionista ha affermato che le proposte avanzate dall'Area Socialista semplicemente sono state giudicate come eccessive dal centro-sinistra, specialmente dai Radicali che hanno fortemente criticato e bocciato le riforme del fisco avanzate dai comunisti, soprattutto il raddoppio dell'imposta societaria e dunque l'eccessivo carico fiscale per le fasce più alte, che avrebbe superato la soglia del 50%, inaccettabile per i Radicali che, nonostante il supporto per una tassazione fortemente progressiva, considerano come controproducente superare un'aliquota del 45%.

Nonostante le proteste, però, sembra che il quarto governo Vespa-Baldassare sia pronto ad installarsi, per l'ennesima volta, a Palazzo Antinori, ma il futuro di questa Grande Coalizione non può assolutamente dirsi certo, dato che permangono importanti differenze tra i due partiti di centro-destra (ULD e PRI) e quelli del centro-sinistra. Sicuramente dovremo vedere come reagiranno i Repubblicani alle annunciate aperture di ULD sui temi sociali, ma anche come reagiranno i due partiti di centro-destra se verranno avanzate proposte della sinistra moderata, ed i Radicali hanno già annunciato al proposito che probabilmente si richiederanno ai nuovi alleati di governo alcune concessioni anche nel campo della protezione ambientale, regolamentazioni che sono sempre state fortemente osteggiate sia dai Liberal Democratici che dai Demohosiani.
Dunque, futuro incerto per Vespa-Baldassare, oggetto lui stesso, insieme al Presidente Lepera, delle proteste di piazza, dato che il duo Lepera/Vespa-Baldassare è rimasto al potere in Istalia per oltre dodici anni e si potrebbero addirittura raggiungere i 16 anni, un mandato che ormai sembra aver generato insofferenza tra molti, anche a destra, alla luce della proposta dei Repubblicani di introdurre un limite ai mandati presidenziali.

ROMULA - Hugo Vespa-Baldassare ready to be officially confirmed, for the fourth time, at the head of the Council of Ministers. The re-elected Oscar Lepera has in fact again appointed the leader of the Union of Liberal Democrats to lead the cabinet of government, but unlike the previous three Vespa-Baldassare's governments, the government will be a Great Coalition formed by the Liberal Democrats, the Republicans, the Radicals, the Greens and the Labour.

The proposal, advanced by ULD, had surprised many but then from the secretariat of the largest party in parliament have come clarifications on the decision to break the partnership with the Right and in particular with the Nationalists: the Liberal Democrats over the years have increasingly experienced greater difficulty in agreeing with government allies on issues such as social and foreign policy, rather pushing on proposals that ULD could not support. Manifestations have been organized in the main squares of the country and obviously among the most angry the communist electorate, extremely disappointed by the "betrayal" of the center-left and that already considers all this as a terrible missed opportunity.
Endrigo Bellinguer, leader of the Communists, had already asked the head of state, without success, to entrust to the communists, the second force in parliament, the leadership of a left government, formed by the coalition of "Socialist Area" (Communists and Popular), by the coalition " Together for Istalia "(Radicals and Laborers) and finally the Greens.

For the moment, answers from the secretariats of the moderate left parties do not seem to have arrived, but more than one columnist said that the proposals put forward by the Socialist area were simply judged as excessive by the center-left, especially by the Radicals who strongly criticized and rejected the tax reforms advanced by the Communists, especially the doubling of the corporate tax and therefore the excessive tax burden for the upper classes, which would have exceeded the threshold of 50%, unacceptable for the Radicals who, despite the support for a highly progressive taxation, they consider a rate higher than 45% to be counterproductive.

Surely we will have to see how the Republicans will react to the announced openings of ULD on social issues, but also how the two center-right parties will react if proposals of the moderate left are put forward, and the Radicals have already announced in this regard that they will probably request to the new allies of government some concessions also in the field of environmental protection, regulations that have always been strongly opposed by both the Liberal Democrats and the Demohosians.
Therefore, uncertain future for Vespa-Baldassare, object himself, together with President Lepera, of street protests, since the Lepera/Vespa-Baldassare duo remained in power in Istalia for over twelve years and could even reach 16 years at the end of this term, a mandate that now seems to have generated intolerance among many, even on the right, in light of the Republicans' proposal to introduce a limit to the presidential mandates.

5° CONGRESSO PLI
Agli inizi di Aprile il PLI ha svolto elezioni primarie e Congresso, gli elettori PLI sperano che questo Congresso possa risollevare il Partito.

FLORENZA, PADAGNA - Si è svolto il 5° Congresso ordinario del PLI, nelle giornate del 4 e 5 aprile 4355 gli
elettori PLI si sono recati alle urne per le Elezioni Primarie, è stata registrata un'
affluenza di 1.095.550 persone.
I candidati alla carica di Presidente del Partito erano:
- Lucio Vero Rosso (esponente ala liberale)
- Beatrice Grande (esponente ala socialdemocratica)
- Paola Cuneo (esponente ala socialista)
si è defilata dalla corsa invece la senatrice Maria Nomoni che ha dichiarato di volersi dedicare alla carriera da Senatrice.

Con grande sorpresa di tutti i sondaggisti che fin dall'inizio avevano previsto un testa a testa Rosso-Grande sono giunti i risultati ufficiali:
ROSSO Lucio Vero, 601.645 - 54,92% (110 seggi all'Assemblea)
GRANDE Beatrice, 308.496 - 28,16% (56 seggi all'Assemblea)
CUNEO Paola, 185.409 - 16,92% (34 seggi all'Assemblea)

Il Congresso svoltosi il 7 aprile è iniziato con un minuto di silenzio per la morte dell'ex segretario PCI Antonio Masci.
Dopo un fragoroso applauso il segretario Borromeo apre il 5°Congresso Nazionale del Partito Laburista. Proprio Borromeo dal palco annuncia, in accordo con il neoeletto Rosso, di voler presentare la sua candidatura come Presidente della Repubblica, annuncio colto dalla Platea con un altro fragoroso applauso.
Dopo gli interventi delle 2 ex candidate, le onorevoli Grande e Cuneo, è il momento per il neoeletto Lucio Vero Rosso prendere la parola.
Nel suo intervento sottolinea che il PLI è in crisi a causa della lontananza dagli elettori che dopo le elezioni del 4342 si è marcata sopratutto in Sarregna e Silicia.
Rosso imputa questa lontanaza alla mancanza di un programma fisso del Partito ed è su questa sua convinzione,condivisa con un applauso da tutti i memnri dell'Assemblea, che presenta la sua prima mozione che riguarda il programma del PLI in 10 punti:
. Limitazione uso energia nucleare, divieto di uso di armi chimiche, biologiche e nucleari
. Protezione comunità Istaliana dal fumo
. Internazionalismo e pacifismo in politica estera e la ratificazione di trattati per la protezione delle libertà dei cittadini Istaliani
. Adozione del federalismo per l'organizzazione statale
. Meno burocrazia e adottare la politica del cosidetto "small-government"
. Protezione dei diritti civili
. Protezione diritti animali
. Protezione ambiente
. Abbassamento età pensione a 62 anni
. Protezione dei diritti dei lavoratori e del lavoro in generale

Questo programma presentato dal Presidente Rosso è stato approvato dall'Assemblea con 166 voti a favore, 0 contrari e 34 astenuti. Gli astenuti dell'ala Socialista hanno considerato che l'adozione del federalismo e lo small-government non si confacessero ad un partito come il PLI.

Il presidente Rosso, concludendo, ha confermato il Direttorio uscente e lo stesso redarrà una nuova lista di Ministri entro le prossime elezioni.

The Congress which took place on 7 April began with a minute's silence following the death of former PCI secretary Antonio Masci.
After a thunderous applause, Secretary Borromeo opens the 5th National Congress of the Labor Party. Just Borromeo from the stage announces, in agreement with the newly elected Rosso, to present his candidacy as President of the Republic, announcement captured by the audience with another thunderous applause.
After the speeches of the two former candidates, Mrs Grande and Cuneo, it is time for the newly elected Lucio Vero Rosso to speak.
In his speech he underlines that the PLI is in crisis because of the distance from the voters that after the elections of 4342 it was marked above all in Sarregna and Silicia.
Rosso imputes this distance from the lack of a fixed program of the Party and is on this conviction, shared with applause by all the members of the Assembly, which presents its first motion concerning the PLI program in 10 points:
. Limitation of nuclear energy use, ban on the use of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons
. Istalian community protection from smoking
. Internationalism and pacifism in foreign policy and the ratification of treaties for the protection of the liberties of the Istalian citizens
. Adoption of federalism for state organization
. Less bureaucracy and adopt the so-called "small-government" policy

. Animal rights protection
. Environmental protection
. Lowering retirement age to 62 years
. Protection of workers' and labor rights in general

This program presented by President Rosso was approved by the Assembly with 166 votes in favor, 0 against and 34 abstentions. The abstainers of the Socialist wing considered that the adoption of federalism and small-government did not fit into a party like the PLI.

President Rosso, concluding, has confirmed the outgoing Directorate and will itself draw up a new list of Ministers within the next elections.

ROMULA - Con il quarto governo Vespa-Baldassare ufficialmente insediatosi, il nuovo Ministro degli Esteri, Valentina Vitali, ha commentato ufficialmente l'esito dei dialoghi di pace tra i Thalleristi e l'Unione Socialista.
Questo il comunicato ufficiale rilasciato dal Ministero degli Esteri:

Il Governo Istaliano, risoluto prima di tutto nel rispettare la volontà dell'Unione Socialista, riconoscerà ufficialmente la nuova Gran Repubblica di Deltaria ed il nuovo assetto istituzionale che emergerà dalle riforme costituzionali previste dall'accordo di pace anche se con serie riserve riguardo prima di tutto il ruolo del Gran Consiglio Thallerista nel nuovo assetto istituzionale e quindi la legislazione che attribuisce diritti maggiori alla nobiltà. Alla luce dei trascorsi della famiglia Thaller, in Deltaria come anche in altre nazioni, l'Istalia è decisa a vigilare attentamente sull'evoluzione di questa nuova entità statale, sull'influenza che questo organo non eletto e senza alcuna legittimazione democratica avrà sulla vita politica del paese e quindi, riguardo l'entità dei maggiori diritti per i nobili, chiederà rassicurazioni affinché ciò non sottragga al resto della cittadinanza il diritto di esprimere liberamente e democraticamente il loro volere e dunque l'accesso a cariche politiche e pubbliche.
Il ruolo di Corte Suprema di una Repubblica che si definisce democratica, affidato ad un organismo formato da individui non eletti, scelti o nominati da nessuno, né direttamente dal popolo né da altre figure democraticamente elette, e che invece si prevede dipenderà dalla volontà di una singola famiglia e dunque dalla volontà esclusiva di alcuni semplici privati cittadini, non può che generare serie perplessità, risiedendo nelle mani di queste cinque persone l'interpretazione finale della legge in Deltaria, una situazione che sarebbe altamente criticabile e lesiva della Democrazia anche in presenza di una monarchia nella quale al solo monarca è affidato il compito di scegliere i giudici di una corte suprema, come anche non può che creare perplessità la possibilità per una ristretta cerchia di individui di venire trattati diversamente e magari in modo privilegiato di fronte alla legge, cosa che lede uno dei più basilari principi di una Democrazia: l'uguaglianza di ogni cittadino di fronte alla legge.
Il Governo Istaliano perciò si augura che le istituzioni democratiche ed elettive della nuova Repubblica siano in grado di garantire democrazia e stato di diritto nel paese e augura al nuovo stato pace e stabilità per il bene del popolo Deltariano.

L'Istalia vuole però portare all'attenzione del Governo Deltariano un punto sul quale questo Governo non vuole sorvolare: il destino del deposto Zar Nikolai, al quale d'ora in poi si farà riferimento semplicemente come Signor Nikolai Von Thaller, reo non solo di aver orchestrato un colpo di stato violento che ha causato la morte di diversi ministri del governo legittimamente eletto, non solo di aver tentato l'illegale secessione di una delle regioni deltariane e dato avvio ad una sollevazione armata che ha causato due anni di guerra civile, ma per la stessa ammissione di diversi membri della sua stessa famiglia, il Sign. Nikolai Von Thaller è sospettato di aver organizzato la morte del suo stesso padre, Norbert I, e quindi di aver pianificato un complotto ai danni di Kalopia incolpando l'allora Governo in carica di essere stato il mandante dell'attentato contro il precedente Zar.
La presenza di Nikolai Von Thaller in Deltaria e la possibilità per lui di evitare un qualsivoglia giusto processo per i crimini da lui commessi sarà considerata un serio ostacolo per l'Istalia affinché sia ritirato il nostro voto per lo status di sospensione temporanea di Deltaria dall'Alleanza Majatrana. La presenza di Nikolai Von Thaller all'interno del futuro Gran Consiglio della Gran Repubblica, invece, decreterà il veto definitivo dell'Istalia all'interno dell'organizzazione.
Nikolai Von Thaller ha causato fin dalla sua prematura ascesa al trono sofferenze sia in patria che all'estero, mettendo in serio pericolo a più riprese la pace e la stabilità in Majatra.
Come membro dell'Alleanza Majatrana l'Istalia presenterà di fronte alla Commissione Esecutiva dell'organizzazione, della quale Deltaria, nonostante la sospensione, è ancora parte, una mozione ufficiale affinché Nikolai Von Thaller si presenti difronte alla giustizia e risponda delle sue azioni.
Alla luce dell'ovvio ed innegabile conflitto di interessi che esiste tra la nuova massima autorità giudiziaria in Deltaria e Nikolai Von Thaller, domanderemo che quest'ultimo venga giudicato da un tribunale indipendente internazionale e possibilmente espressione dell'Alleanza Majatrana.

Come già più volte ribadito dal Governo Istaliano, l'Alleanza Majatrana è stata fondata su principi democratici e votata alla promozione della pace nel continente ed all'armoniosa convivenza tra i suoi popoli, valori che sono stati totalmente disattesi da Nikolai Von Thaller e dai governi thalleristi che hanno servito sotto il suo regno. Ignorare le innumerevoli colpe di questo individuo rappresenterebbe un fallimento per questa organizzazione ed un tradimento di tutti i principi più basilari sui quali è stata costruita. Democrazia vuol dire anche, e per alcuni soprattutto, che le istituzioni dello stato devono rendere conto delle proprie azioni di fronte alla giustizia, libera ed indipendete, ed al popolo.
Negare oggi tutto ciò oggi semplicemente sulla base di convinzioni ideologiche personali,stereotipi ed interessi particolari da parte di membri dell'Alleanza non può che svilire la dignità stessa dell'organizzazione e dei suoi altri membri.

Proprio per questo, in chiusura, l'Istalia non può che esprimere biasimo per le accuse infondate avanzate contro l'Unione Socialista che fin dal successo elettorale della scorsa legislatura ha mostrato rispetto per le istituzioni preesistenti dell'Impero Deltariano, non ha avanzato alcuna minaccia allo stesso Nikolai Von Thaller quando ancora sul trono ed alla sua dignità di Zar di Deltaria e che, infine, per il bene del popolo deltariano, cosa totalmente ignorata da Nikolai ed i suoi accoliti, ha deciso di prendere la strada del compromesso per porre fine al conflitto, ma soprattutto, nessuno degli accusatori ad oggi è riuscito a dimostrare che l'Unione Socialista, una volta al potere, abbia tentato di instaurare una così detta Dittatura del Proletariato od un'altra qualsivoglia forma di governo e di stato di stampo metzista.
Una nazione che si definisce democratica e si vanta di aver riportato la libertà al suo popolo non può assolutamente promuovere, accettare e sostenere una persecuzione preventiva ai danni di persone sulla base della loro fede politica quando non hanno infranto alcuna legge dello stato. Questo è un altro punto fondamentale e basilare di una qualsiasi nazione che si voglia definire come democratica: la libertà di espressione e di pensiero politico. L'Unione Socialista non può assolutamente essere accusata di aver infranto questo principio, alla luce del fatto che il Partito del Thallerismo Azzurro ha continuato senza alcuna limitazione la propria attività politica ed ha potuto partecipare liberamente e senza restrizioni a delle elezioni, organizzate anticipatamente dagli stessi socialisti, dalle quali sono addirittura usciti vincitori. L'Unione Socialista ha dunque dimostrato in pochissimi anni molta più maturità politica di tanti altri Governi, una maturità politica ed un rispetto per la volontà del popolo che l'Istalia si impegnerà a garantire nell'Alleanza Majatrana.

La crisi Deltariana ha purtroppo bloccato un lungo lavoro su un'ambizioso obbiettivo sul quale l'Istalia lavora ormai da anni, ovvero la realizzazione di una Carta dei Principi Fondamentali dell'Alleanza, alla luce di ripetute ed innumerevoli infrazioni da parte di diversi stati membri durante gli anni di esistenza dell'organizzazione. Con l'allargamento dell'Alleanza ad altri due nuovi membri, l'Istalia è decisa a riprendere il dialogo già avviato da tempo con gli altri governi Alleati per ultimare questo progetto, per il bene della democrazia e dei diritti di centinaia di milioni di persone in Majatra, i quali vengono prima del diritto di qualsiasi governo od alla sua ideologia.

ROMULA - With the fourth Vespa-Baldassare's government officially established, the new foreign minister, Valentina Vitali, officially commented on the opinion of the peace dialogues between the Thallerists and the Socialist Union.
This is the official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

The Istalian Government, resolved first of all in respecting the will of the Socialist Union, will officially recognize the new Great Republic of Deltaria and the new institutional set-up that will emerge from the constitutional reforms envisaged by the peace agreement, even if Istalia will maintain serious reservations regarding first of all the role of the Thallerist Grand Council in the new institutional set-up and therefore the legislation that gives major rights to the nobility. In light of the past of the Thaller family, in Deltaria as well as in other nations, Istalia is determined to watch closely on the evolution of this new state entity, on the influence that this unelected body and without any democratic legitimacy will have on political life of the country and therefore, regarding the magnitude of the greater rights for the nobles, will ask reassurance that this does not deprive the rest of citizenship of the right to freely and democratically express their will and therefore the access to political and public offices.
The role of Supreme Court of a Republic that defines itself as democratic, entrusted to an organism formed by unelected individuals, chosen or appointed by anyone, either directly by the people or by other democratically elected figures, and which is expected to depend on the will of a single family and therefore by the exclusive will of some simple private citizens, can only generate serious doubts, residing in the hands of these five people the final interpretation of the law in Deltaria, a situation that would be highly critical and detrimental to Democracy even in the presence of a monarchy in which the monarch is the sole entrusted with the task of choosing the judges of a supreme court, as well as it can only create perplexity the fact that a small circle of individuals is treated differently and perhaps in a privileged way before the law, what that damages one of the most basic principles of democracy: the equality of every citizen before the law.
The Istalian Government therefore hopes that the democratic and elective institutions of the new Republic will be able to guarantee democracy and the rule of law in the country and wishes the new state peace and stability for the good of the Deltarian people.

But Istalia wants to bring to the attention of the Deltarian government a point on which this government does not want to overlook: the fate of the deposed Zar Nikolai, to whom from now on we will simply refer as Mr. Nikolai Von Thaller, guilty not only of to have orchestrated a violent coup that led to the death of several legitimately elected government ministers, not only to have attempted the illegal secession of one of the deltarian regions and started an armed uprising that caused two years of civil war, but for the same admission of several members of his own family, Mr. Nikolai Von Thaller is suspected of having organized the death of his own father, Norbert I, and therefore of having planned a plot against Kalopia blaming the then Government of having been the instigator of the attack against the previous Csar.
The presence of Nikolai Von Thaller in Deltaria and the possibility for him to avoid any fair trial for the crimes committed by him will be considered a serious obstacle for Istalia to withdraw our vote for the temporary suspension of Deltaria from the Majatran Alliance. The presence of Nikolai Von Thaller in the future Grand Council of the Great Republic, however, will decree the definitive veto of our country within the organization on the matter.
Nikolai Von Thaller has caused since his premature accession to the throne suffering both at home and abroad, putting in serious danger on several occasions peace and stability in Majatra.
As a member of the Majatran Alliance Istalia will present before the Executive Committee of the organization, of which Deltaria, despite the suspension, is still part, an official motion for Nikolai Von Thaller to present himself in front of justice and respond to his actions.
In light of the obvious and undeniable conflict of interests that exists between the new highest judicial authority in Deltaria and Nikolai Von Thaller, we will demand that the latter will be judged by an independent international tribunal and possibly expression of the Majatran Alliance.

As already stated by the Istalian Government, the Majatran Alliance was founded on democratic principles and committed itself to promote peace on the continent and harmonious coexistence among its peoples, values ​​that were totally disregarded by Mr Nikolai Von Thaller and the thallerist governments who served under his reign.
Ignoring the countless sins of this individual would represent a failure for this organization and a betrayal of all the most basic principles on which it was built. Democracy also means, and for many it's one of the most important principles, that the institutions of the State must be accountable of their actions before the Justice, free and independent, and to the people.
Deny all this today simply on the basis of personal ideological convictions, stereotypes and particular interests by members of the Alliance can only degrade the dignity of the organization and of the other members.

Precisely for this reason, in closing, Istalia can only blame the unfounded accusations made against the Socialist Union that since the electoral success of the last legislature has shown respect for the pre-existing institutions of the Deltarian Empire, has not posed any threat to Nikolai Von Thaller himself when still on the throne and his dignity as Csar of Deltaria and that, finally, for the good of the Deltarian people, something totally ignored by Nikolai and his acolytes, it decided to take the road of compromise to end the conflict, but above all, none of the accusers to date has succeeded in demonstrating that the Socialist Union, once in power, has attempted to establish a so-called Dictatorship of the Proletariat or any other form of metzist government and state.
A nation that defines itself as democratic and prides itself on bringing back freedom to its people can not absolutely promote, accept and support a preventive persecution against people based on their political faith when they have not broken any state law. This is another fundamental point of any nation that wants to be defined as democratic: freedom of expression and political thought. The Socialist Union can hardly be accused of having broken this principle, in light of the fact that the Blue Thallerist Party has continued its political activity without any limitation and has been able to participate freely and without restrictions on elections, organized earlier by the socialists themself, from which the thallerists even came out as winners. The Socialist Union has thus demonstrated in a very few years much more political maturity than many other Governments, a political maturity and a respect for the will of the people that Istalia is committed to guaranteeing in the Majatran Alliance.

The Deltarian crisis has unfortunately blocked a long work on an ambitious goal on which Istalia has been working for years, that is the realization of a Chart of Fundamental Principles of the Majatran Alliance, in light of repeated and countless infringements by different member states during the years of existence of the organization. With the enlargement of the Alliance to two other new members, Istalia is determined to resume the dialogue already started long ago with the other Allied governments to complete this project, for the sake of democracy and the rights of hundreds of millions of people in Majatra, who come before the right of any government or its ideology.

Hugo Vespa-Baldassare has been Prime Minister for the last Fourteen Years. However, from his latest announcement, it seems as if those fourteen years will be it for his career as Istalian Prime Minister: On the latest party congress, Vespa-Baldassare announced that before the end of the year, he will resign as Prime Minister, and instead focus on heading his party. He also announced that he won't run for another term as party leader.

However, and this comes to me with great difficulty, I must announce that I will resign from the seat of President of the Council of Ministers before the end of this year. *the masses are shocked, sighing and gasping* I am old;
there were older Prime Ministers and ULD leaders, yes, but I AM old, let's face it. Sixty-One. Just saying that makes me tired. However, that is not to say that it will be instantaneous, as it will happen in no less than four, five months, as I have to be sure that the person that will replace me, who I have chosen, though I won't reveal them yet, will be ready for everything, as ready as the cabinet. But please, know that I will not resign from being an active member of the ULD, a party founded by my father. I will be an MP until the end of my days.

Vespa-Baldassare later added that another reason for his planned resignation are his links with the more rightist parties of Istalia which angered a large part of the centre-left electorate, as well as the unproductivity of the current cabinet, which he blames himself for.

As stated, the Prime Minister's words caused an utter storm, in both the Internet, among members of the ULD and in other parties, as well as in Parliament; the man that ruled Istalia for the last -teen years announced that he will resign by January.

Con un breve comunicato il Ministero degli Esteri ha rilasciato un messaggio pieno di indignazione e delusione per quella che è considerata come una vera e propria fuga prima dell'avvio di indagini ufficiali sul Thaller

ROMULA - L'annuncio della partenza di Nikolai Von Thaller alla volta di Narikaton e Darnussia, terra ancestrale della famiglia, ha generato estreme delusione e preoccupazione da parte del Governo Istaliano che da mesi e mesi aveva richiesto l'avvio di indagini e di procedimenti legali ai danni dell'ex Zar di Deltaria. Le indiscrezioni su un coinvolgimento di Nikolai nell'assassinio di suo padre Norbert, infatti, nonostante gli avvocati dell'ex sovrano sottolineano il fatto che non vi sia alcuna prova certa, fin dalla fine del conflitto erano andate crescendo, con accuse che addirittura sono arrivate dall'interno della stessa branca deltariana della famiglia (nello specifico da parte di Augustin Von Thaller, distanziatosi da Nikolai durante il conflitto tra lui ed il Governo socialista e fondamentale figura per ricucire lo strappo tra monarchici e repubblicani).

È con estremo rammarico ed inquietudine che il Governo Istaliano apprende della partenza di Nikolai Von Thaller da Deltaria alla volta di Narikaton e Darnussia. Una partenza che ha tutte le apparenze di una fuga messa in atto per evitare indagini da parte della autorità giudiziarie deltariane sulle sempre più consistenti voci di un coinvolgimento, anzi, della primaria responsabilità del Thaller in buona parte degli eventi che hanno caratterizzato la crisi Deltaro-Kalopiana e dunque indagini sulle sue responsabilità, tra l'altro più che evidenti, per il recente conflitto tra repubblicani e monarchici.
Una semplice domanda sorge spontanea: se, come sostengono i suoi avvocati, il sign. Von Thaller non ha avuto alcun ruolo nella morte di suo padre e nel seguente complotto ai danni di Kalopia, perché si sta sottraendo alla giustizia? In poche parole: perché fugge dalla giustizia se è innocente?
Ma al di là di accuse non ancora confermate né smentite dalla locale giustizia, è anche più scandaloso il fatto che Nikolai Von Thaller si stia sottraendo a qualsiasi tipo di procedimento legale nei suoi confronti relativamente alle sue responsabilità all'origine della guerra civile che ha interessato recentemente il paese.
Inoltre, cosa che potrebbe risultare anche più sconcertante, è il timore che l'attuale governo thallerista di Deltaria stia attivamente coprendo questa fuga e limitando fin dalla fine del conflitto il lavoro della giustizia nei confronti di Nikolai Von Thaller, timore che riguarda anche il Gran Consiglio della Repubblica, formato da esponenti della famiglia Thaller.
Tutto ciò purtroppo non contribuirà assolutamente ad alcun processo di reintegrazione di Deltaria in seno all'Alleanza Majatrana, dato che questa fuga si aggiunge ai già elevati dubbi sulla capacità della giustizia deltariana di agire in maniera indipendente, un cardine di qualsiasi regime democratico che si voglia fregiare di questo nome.

ROMULA - The announcement of Nikolai Von Thaller's departure for Narikaton and Darnussia, the ancestral land of his family, has generated extreme disappointment and concern on the part of the Istalian Government, which for months and months had requested the initiation of investigations and legal proceedings against of the former Csar of Deltaria. The rumors about an involvement of Nikolai in the assassination of his father Norbert, in fact, despite the former sovereign's lawyers emphasize the fact that there is no certain evidence, since the end of the conflict had been growing, with allegations that even came from within the same Deltarian branch of the family (specifically by Augustin Von Thaller, who distanced himself from Nikolai during the conflict between him and the socialist government and fundamental figure to mend the rift between monarchists and republicans).

It is with extreme regret and concern that the Istalian Government learns of the departure of Nikolai Von Thaller from Deltaria to Narikaton and Darnussia. A departure that has all the appearances of an esape put in place to avoid investigations by the judicial authorities of Deltaria on the increasingly substantial rumors of an involvement, indeed, of the primary responsibility of Mr Von Thaller in most of the events that characterized the Deltarian-Kalopian crisis and therefore investigations on his responsibilities, among other things more than obvious, for the recent conflict between republicans and monarchists.
A simple question arises: if, as his lawyers claim, Mr. Von Thaller played no role in his father's death and in the following plot against Kalopia, why is he escaping the justice? In short: why does he flee from justice if he is innocent?
But beyond accusations not yet confirmed or denied by local justice, it is even more scandalous that Nikolai Von Thaller is escaping any kind of legal proceedings against him in relation to his responsibilities at the origin of the civil war that affected recently the country.
Moreover, what could be even more disconcerting, is the fear that the current Thallerist government of Deltaria is actively covering this flight and limiting the work of justice against Nikolai Von Thaller since the end of the conflict, a fear that also concerns the possible role of the Grand Council of the Republic, formed by members of the Thaller family.
All this unfortunately will not contribute absolutely to any process of reintegration of Deltaria within the Majatran Alliance, given that this escape adds to the already high doubts on the ability of the Deltarian justice to act independently, a cornerstone of any democratic regime.
