Goodbye Walem
March 12, 4186

LNC officials have decided to get rid of their chairman Carlo Walem. The LNC board has made its decision after the poor election results.
Augusto Favel assembled a press conference today to announce the notion of mistrust in the current chairman. Walem stated in his defence that he tried to do whatever he could and that it is impossible to rely on election results when only one out of six persons actually go to vote. The decision of LNC was already taken at that point. Carlo Walem is awarded with governorship of the Province of Golavia but has to resign as chairman. Augusto Favel will take over chairmanship. Augusto has been serving the party for over 50 years, being aged 73 years old. He is known as a stubborn Nationalist. His task is to make LNC the number one party in Lodamun again. Carlo Walem didn't wish to give a statement on this issue.

Change in Lodamun: "Finally"
August 29, 4190

Augusto Favel, LNC chairman, announced today that a new coalition is in the making. He had long conversations with GNRG and UDHFU officials. He believes a new Cabinet will be installed within days.
"This is a historic moment for Lodamun. For the first time in decades we are able to break the purple coalition. LNC has done quite well in the last elections and we believe time has come to end our position of opposition party."
Favel, who has angered the Walem clan after putting aside Carlo Walem, has chosen to offer the Education Ministry to one of the Walem brothers. This might seem a tactic to make up for the loss of chairmanship 4 years ago. Favel says that he has done so to show to the Walem family and to the nation that there still is room for communication. Favel also said that he isn't looking for allies for personal interest, considering his age. He will probably serve no longer than one term.
"I wish to thank the current government for many years of hard work. We are looking forward to continue to work in a constructive manner with all parties. The future is bright for Lodamun. Congratulations to all."
Carlo Walem remains governor of Golavia, his brother Lourens Walem has been granted governorship of Rapula.

New Green Party of Lodamun still hopeful, despite big losses in latest election.
September 5, 4190

Kalin Mideen, chairman of the NGPoL, still has high hopes for the future despite the party's heavy losses in the Presidium. The 58-year old party leader plans to continue leading the party into an era where the NGPoL and NDP's coalition is the opposition for the first time since the party's formation 22 years ago.

"Losing more than half our seats in the Presidium, it's quite a blow. Nonetheless, we won't give up. We will fight to ensure a green future in our great country. Looks like we're in for a ride these next several years."

The Party Chair will be contested again in August 4193. Regardless of the results, this will be the last election for Kalin; he plans on retiring by the time of the Party Elections to come in August 4198.

Reforms are necessary
March 30, 4193

President Favel stated today that some reforms are needed for the benefit of our beloved nation. He said so after the vote on a proposal of Minister of Education and Culture Ludovic Walem. It seems the proposal will be accepted by a majority in the Presidium.
Even with UDHFU having doubts about the proposal, they did support the motion that Walem handed in. President Favel, who tries not to influence any debate in the Presidium, has now taken the opportunity to support Walem. He did this after the vote in the Presidium. He said that these changed were necessary for the wellbeing of the country. He also declared that other reforms would be necessary, but that LNC doesn't wish to rush things.
Does this mean that Favel is confident in the turnout of next elections? He says he doesn't, not for the reasons we think: "Nationalism has finally regained a political position and we are sure that this will last for a certain time. Problem is that many people feel secure with the Nationalist system and don't matter to go to vote. Obviously, this is their own personal choice. People have seen the changes we are making, and the ones we will be making in the future. We want to make this a fluent transmission, one step at a time. One thing is certain, I will no longer be on the list during the next elections. I am an old man, and we will have to look for a new chairman, and eventually a new President."

Favel out, Mills takes over
June 2, 4193

Port Golavia - Kristof Lwone, spokesman for LNC, announced to the press today that President Favel has suffered a stroke last night and is currently unable to perform his duties both as President of the Republic and as chairman of the party. Nelson Mills, vice-President for GNRG, will serve as acting President. New elections will not be necessary and the coalition parties will discuss whether or not the President should be replaced indefinetely.
Augusto Favel wasn't feeling to well yesterday afternoon. He decided to call it a day and go home to rest around 3 PM. 8 hours later he was found by his daughter, being hit with a stroke. His daughter called an ambulance at the spot and the President was taken to the hospital. He should be stabilized by now, but the doctors cannot say what the effects on long term will be. The Presidential office has decided to call for first vice-President Nelson Mills to replace the President for the time being.
Carlo Walem will be taking over the chairmanship of the party.
Kristof Lwone has promised to communicate about the President's situation as soon as there is any additional information.

Incumbent Kalin Mideen Loses Chair to Morton Stalno
August 16, 4193

Longtime Party Chair and founder of the New Green Party of Lodamun, Kalin Mideen, lost the Party Chair to Morton Stalno, a convinced green activist that competed for the chair in a few other past Party Elections. The incumbent congratulated the new party chair and expressed in a post-election speech that he has lots of faith in his newly-elected successor. This election was to be Kalin's last, whether he won or not, as he planned to retire on 4198; that election would've been decided by the 2nd round of voting had he won this election. Morton promises to continue the mission of his predecessor and lead Lodamun into a green future.

Favel definitely out
August 2, 4194

LNC had chairmanship elections yesterday, which were won by deputy chairman Carlo Walem. Walem certainly has the go with it, because today the first bills are said to be presented to the Presidium.
Carlo Walem, former chairman of LNC and former Golavia Governor, won the elections with a smaal difference from his opponent and brother Lourens Walem. Lourens Walem remains Governor of Rapula. Carlo Walem starts his second term as party chairman.
He declared that his predecessor and current President Augusto Favel is in a state in which he can not take decisions for the best of the nation and therefore should be replaced. He proposes to take over the Presidential task himself and has asked the Presidium for their support. Currently the tasks are being performed by vice-President and thus acting President Nelson Mills.
