OOC: peterJS, I highly suggest you do not follow YankeeHater's footsteps and also violate the most basic RP rules. I'm making this recommendation as a fellow player who doesn't want to see you fall to the same standards as the aforementioned player. But you do what you want.

A number of Charges have been made against Mr Grimes from Corruption to the most serious of charges of Treason which could see him sentenced to death as it is a Capital Crime.

Lee Johnson the minister of Justice has said that such breaches of Security and threats to National Security can not be treated lightly and that his department intends to use the full weight of the law.

Lawyers say that Mr Grimes is likely to avoid the Death Penalty if he co-operates in securing convictions against Liberal Party officials for their role in this breach of National Security.

People approve the RNP handling of the Telamon-Lodamese crisis!

Image
Nationalist Supporters Celebrate victory!

The Radical Nationalist Party received the most votes in the recent elections as a sign of approval of how RNP Foreign Minister John Stevenson handled the recent crisis over the illegal visit of Mr. Krkljus.

The RNP were the only party of the established parliamentary parties not to lose seats to the new parties in the recent elections. They also managed to take control of 2 regions boosting their political influence further.

The Real Liberal Party suffered the heaviest defeat losing 30 seats in Parliament, the URP also lost 14 seats. It is yet to be seen what moves the Liberal Party may now take, it is believed that the RNP will try to maintain the current Government but will be willing to work with the new parties.

Mr. Grimes pleads not guilty to all charges filed; the Liberal Party promises to do what is necessary to install a fair and working government

Port Andalay, Andalay (LCN)- In a statement released by Tracy Selle and Associates, the law firm representing Mr. Grimes, it was announced that Mr. Grimes plans to plead not guilty to all charges. The statement makes a strong statement against the government for its "political witch hunt" and accuses government officials of "fabricating or otherwise tampering with evidence and intimidating witnesses."

In the statement, Ms. Tracy Selle expressed the intention of her client to fully cooperate with authorities but made very clear that Mr. Grimes will not confess to any crimes which he has not committed.

Open arguments are set to being tomorrow morning.

After a large election turnout, the Liberal Party marginally retained its majority in Parliament. The Liberal Party now shares the majority in Parliament with the Radical Nationalist Party.

Shortly after the election results were officially released, the Office of the National Chairman issued a statement promising the citizens of Lodamun to "work day and night to form a fair and working cabinet." In the statement, the Chairman criticized the current cabinet members for their "lack of fundamental knowledge about their Constitutional duties and interest in working for the citizens of Lodamun."

According to sources, the Liberal Party will soon introduce a new cabinet proposal which is expected to include both the Progressive Party, now the second largest party in Party, and the Liberal Noocratic Party aside from the Free Peoples Party. These sources also indicated that negotiations about the cabinet posts are currently ongoing behind closed doors and that both of the new parties stand a good chance of obtaining important cabinet posts given the Liberal Party's desire to oust the current cabinet members.

Lodamese Union Siezes Grimes Airport Citing Security Concerns

GRIMES AIRPORT, ANDALAY (LBC) -- Transport Minister Jack Miller announced the government seized Grimes Airport early this morning due to continued security concerns at the privately run airport. "Planes have been diverted to nearby airports where proper procedures will be followed," said Mr. Miller. This marks the first use of the Transport Minister's broad new eminent domain powers. No compensation to Mr. Grimes is expected.

Chairman Johnson promises a new beginning for Lodamun

Port Andalay, Andalay (LCN)- After the announced disbandment of the Progress Party, the Liberal Party's Office of the National Chairman issued the following statement:

"With the disbandment of the Progress Party, the Liberal Party plans to push forward with a cabinet proposal including the Free Peoples Party and the Liberal Noocratic Party. We can finally have a fair and working government in place which is supported by our citizens. The members of Parliament from our party have negotiated for months with the Free Peoples Party and Liberal Noocratic Party to get a fair cabinet proposal in place and reassure our commitment to work for the people.

This is a new beginning for Lodamun. For years, rules put in place by the former majority have prevented us from putting a fair cabinet in place. This is no longer the case. We shall strive to improve our nation after decades of decadence under the rule of power-hungry, ineffective, unscrupulous politicians. That will no longer be the case. I guarantee the Lodamese people that will work day and night, as long as it takes, to get this nation back to its glorious days. We shall, once again, make Lodamun a powerful international player. We shall improve our strained relationships with our allies and foes alike. We shall look forward not back. That, my friends, is a promise we make to you."

Our calls for comment to the Liberal Party's Headquarters have gone unanswered.
