Government warns Malivia

According to recent reports, the Malivian government is planning to execute many members of the opposition parties for using their right of free speech. Ewald Walter now offically citizses the Malvian government for that

Yesterday, the spokesman for the foreign ministry, Mr Xaver Klausmüller, announced, that the Selucian government is deeply concerned about these barbarian developements in Malivia. "The foreign minister is thinking about the appontment (ordering) of the chief diplomat of Mailvia, so Mr Klausmüller."
Again, the government is urging the Malivian government to pardon the doomed men and appealed to the Rajah in a personal letter.

Government shocked about death of the Raja

Today, the government gave their deep condolences and empathy to the Malivian people and to the son of the Raja, who has died of a heart attack a few days ago. The parliamentary under secretary of Mr Klausmüller, Mr Berger, today gave a note of condolence from the whole Selucian cabinet to the Malivian ambassador in Selucia.
In this note, the government makes clear, that it is very shocked and sad about the death, even when relations between the two countries weren't always easy, that in times like these, both peoples have to stand together.
The government is also wishing the new Raja all the luck in the world and it expressed the hope, that the relations between the two countries will become closer in the near future.

Bank sector explodes
After the passing of the new Bank secret Act (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=331133) by the parliament, billions of SEN and other currencies flooded in from around the globe. Thousands of bank accounts were established.
The reason behind this, might be, that the new law gives foreign account owners absoulutly immunity in financial matters in Selucia, but also absolut secrecy about the account to other nations. Many people even Selucia argue that this could lead to massive money laundring in Selucia but as well that Seluica becomes a paradiese for tax dodgers.
The government made clear, that with this law the state protects the privacy of the citizens and therefore will change nothing.

Selucia fights for freedom in Davostan!

Image
A letter written by Lord Alamar Xarfaxis, general secretary of the New Imperial Party of Selucia, and Foreign Minister Lady Livia Haart, to the hippie-occupied Satanic Imperial Council of the Unholy Empire of Davostan has sparkled major controversy on the international scene.

The letter condemns the radicalist leadership's “reforms” of Davostan, which include legalization of baby-killing, destruction of national symbols, renaming of all cities in their Empire, the abolishment of marriage and other various attempts at destroying the fundamentals of society.

The letter also praises Emperor Lord Medivh Evil for keeping a civilized and sensible negotiation with the illegitimate cultural radicalist government and the hippie-occupied Imperial Satanic Council.

“May you liberate your people and their society from this radicalist elitist yoke and protect your people's freedom to live according to their society's customs, norms and core values. We shall be ready to help you in any way we can.” the letter states.

This caused major outrage from the radicalist leadership, but also from the government of Deltaria. Governor Frank Todd condemned the actions of the Selucian foreign minister as “truly mad” and “condemning democracy”.

However the legal government of Davostan, under Emperor Lord Medivh Evil, was very thankful for the care of the Selucian government and hinted that Selucia might have got itself a powerful ally once law and order has been restored in Davostan.

Lady Haart responded to the international critics by a press release explaining the stance taken by the Selucian government further:

“Selucia is a Christian Empire. Selucian society, culture, norms values and ethics rests upon the Christian humanism bought to us and maintained by the Selucian Catholic Church. These values, these ethics, tells us that we can't be silent when a people is being waged war upon by a totalitarian radicalist regime. When a society isn't free to live according to it's own customs, norms and fundamental values, we have to react and take a stance for liberty, justice and the rule of law. Therefore, we will continue to be wholeheartedly opposed to what is happening in Davostan, and we will continue to give what support we can to the Unholy Emperor and rightful sovereign of Davostan.“

The actions of the foreign ministry was also criticized by some unpatriotic elements back home. The Konservative-Liberale Partei condemned the minister's support of liberty in Davostan and called for a vote of no confidence in the government, something not taken seriously by most of the Imperial Senate.

“It is no secret that the KLP are unpatriotic and want nothing but the power to rule so that they can exploit the Empire's riches for their own satisfaction”, Lord Xarfaxis ascertains.

Lord Xarfaxis also recounts of an awkward moment with one of the representatives of the KLP on a wine party hosted by the ministry of social services:

“After I had condemned this man's contempt of the poorest citizens of the empire, he started to make inappropriate comments about my colleague, Lady Haart. He told me I should give her a 'good ol smacking' for her commitment to restore freedom in Davostan. He had drunken two flasks of wine and war about to swig a third. I responded that maybe I shall invite her to watch him being 'smacked' when we reintroduce corporeal punishment for unpatriotic traitors. He then went mad and tried to beat me with the flask, but he missed and hit his own forehead instead. He then collapsed on the floor and was carried home by his colleagues of the KLP.”

Quite scandalous and inappropriate for a Selucian politician and citizen one must say. But what else can be expected from a party such as the KLP?

Tournout: 80,12% (+1,71%)

Head of state election:

Vivien Hsu: 51,12% (DRU and KLP and PIP)

She was elected in the first round.

After the election the candidate for the head of government, Jens Wurster, annunced, that he will form a coalition of peace and common sense. "We are open to every side, but we will certainly hold talks with the DRU. But, the main thing is, that we were elected on the bases of peace and responsibility. I can assure every state in the world, and especially Davostan and his allies that I will not support any action agains Davostan and I will certainly accept the government of Davostan. The government of Davostan is elected on base of a popular mandate and Selucia has no right to attack this pupular mandate.
Besides, we are concidering to bring the NIP to court or at least the foreign minister and the defence minister for breaking constitutional laws.
May say this in plein english again: The international community has nothing to fear from the KLP and we will order every submarine back as soon as we can."
After that, Mr Wurster celebrated the sucess of his KLP.
Meanwhile, the NIP is in tattors. Unfortunately, the party spokesman was not availabale for an interview and now the party and the two ministers fear juristic consequences for their behaviour.

KLP interested in deal with Malivia

"The KLP, as possible governing party is very interested in a deal with Malivia and our banks are also ready to provide enough money", so party spokesman of the KLP. " We will initiate ngeotiations with Malivia."

The leadership of the New Imperial Party and their most loyal followers have gone into exile in a currently unknown location, but promises Selucia that they shall be heard from again, soon.

“Under this period, under the rule of the unpatriotic KLP-DRU regime, we shall fight for freedom, Selucian Glory and the True Selucian Catholic Faith. You will hear from us again soon, we promise. When these horrible four years have passed, we shall either return, not in shame but with honour, or we shall have conquered new lands for Mother Selucia and Her Church.” - Lord Alamar states

“This is the will of God and God Almighty alone.”

KLP ready to act!

A spokesman of the KLP made yesterday clear, that the KLP is not in favour of the situation in Pontesi."The KLP will not accept the giving-up of a long tradition between Selucia and Pontesi. Pontesi is a realm of Seluica and the KLP will never accept a other idea. However the KLP is ready to speak about certain imporvements and about a process to give the realm peace and prosperity."

KLP intervene into Pontesi

Yesterday the KLP sent 600 cultural advisors to the Pontesi government. They will support the government in safeguarding the Selucian culture.

The party chairman Karl Füchser, announced, that this is a great step to help the Selucian brother and sisters. He also made again clear, that the KLP will help the Selucians in Pontesi with any support if his party gets into power. He also announced, that not just the KLP but also other parties in Selucia are in favour of an intervention.
"We will support our brothers and sisters, with everything we have! Selucia and the realm belong together and will stay together!", so Mr Füchser in his speech when launching the manifesto for the upcoming election.
But he also stressed the need for a peaceful devlopement in the realm
The KLP is clearly preparing for the next general election and they are quite confident to win back most of the seats they lost due they're dissolution a few years ago. But now, with a new party leader, and with 116.000 members and a high visibility, many pollsters show the KLP between 35 and 40 percent.

DRU party convention

Postby Zuza » Sat Jan 21, 2012 1:06 am

In June 3246 DRU held party convention to discuss reasons of a huge defeat for progressive forces (namely DRU-SLP coalition) in the last elections and to elect party leader (who most probably will become a party candidate in the next head of state elections). Current leader Daniel Boston was highly criticized for his poor performance in the elections, but despite this he attempted to gain party support for the next time. His main rivals was those who held two main state offices during the time of DRU rule (observers marked a lack of truly new faces in the DRU elite): former Princeps Senatus Ross Markowitz (an old wealthy businessman from East Shadar) and former head of state Vivien Hsu.

Markowitz was criticized for his somewhat indecisive statements about Pontesi situation, which pushed some patriotic and pro-war voters (and also probably some anti-war voters) from DRU. In an answer for critics he stated that among his main goals was to prevent budget deficite and that major defence budget increase supported by KLP parliamentary faction has led to an almost 8 bln. SEN deficite. "If war will last more than 1-2 years, KLP government will be forced to made some unpopular decisions, most probably huge cuts to government programs". Among other statements made by Ross Markowitz was controversial criticism of late DRU-SLP coalition efforts to rise government regulation of industry (most noticeable proponent of which was Vivien Hsu).

Results of party leader elections.
First ballot:
Ross Markowitz - 27109 votes
Vivien Hsu - 25912 votes
Daniel Boston - 2216 votes
William Marler - 1203 votes

Second ballot:
Ross Markowitz - 27871 votes (elected)
Vivien Hsu - 27590 votes

KLP conference and further attacks

Over the last week the KLP has made it's annual conference. The Princeps Senatus Fuchser was unopposed elected by all party members. His new deputy is Mr Kohn, who promised to support Mr Fuchser as hard as he can.
Fuchser, which is 46 years old is reponsible for one of the greatest landslides in the histroy of the KLP.
Fuchser:"I know, the times are hard and the war is costly, but nevertheless we will carry out our promises and we will make tax cuts within this year. We promised that, and we we do so, not just because of this, but also because we need a strong economy to win the war and to promote economic growth.
This economic growth will let shrink the deficit and so all people will be better of."

Meanwhile Selucia striked again heavily against Lenai with over 160 long range bombers. The complete city center is destroyed as well as the structures of the MARC in the city. Some bombers striked also against beaches of Baezileum to prepare a landing.
The landing is expected in the next days.
