Selucian Foreign Minister Kondou Violates Kalistani Espionage Act. Government's refusal to deport her could spark Constitutional Crisis in Kalistan
"We understand that Kalistan wants to enforce its law, and that as Minister Kondou has said in her resignation, ignorance of the law does not exempt her from compliance." However, why was the minister not stopped before entering the parliament? In the first place, and secondly, can we really be considered as a nation that practices espionage? Are these the bases on which we are going to settle the Movement of Non-Aligned Nations? It does not make sense to continue, if such accusations and similar measures are to be launched on allied and friendly nations. Although we understand that the Kalistani law prevents any external representative from speaking on its camera - something that we are not going to value, even if we are in disagreement - there are ways and means of doing things, although Minister Kondou had to be duly informed of how to carry out her actions, she did it with the best intention in the world, to continue defending the NAM as the best way she knew, to prevent Selucia's candidacy from falling down. And we find this unpleasant situation between our two nations. For this reason, and in protest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Selucia will not appear in Kalistan to continue the talks. Instead, they will remain until further notice or new elections, Consul Opis and Caesar Nerva, which will be in their legitimate right to take the actions that are appropriate. "
Has said the government spokesperson, Petunia Carsia."The new law to modify the one that currently rules in Selucia, and that from our party we have tried to change many times, without success, will provide the necessary help to these refugees from Zardugal, who need it, and will show once again that Selucia is a nation solidarity and committed to the defense of all human beings. For this reason, it has just been proposed an emergency change of the law in the Senate, and although we do not know if it will be approved, we have high hopes put into it "
"Megara Kondou understood perfectly his erroneous conduct, but the government is very upset with the manners shown."
said the secretary of the province, Pavlos Agaraopoulos."Although in some cases, it is true that tourism can create problems, it is in the minimum of cases. At no time can it be generalized, and we are lucky that the majority of people who visit us are families or groups of friends interested in our culture or our rest areas, and they are most respectful with us. I do not know how they deal with tourism in other provinces, but by applying the laws well and explaining them calmly, everyone understands us and even thanks us"
"Insularia has very restrictive laws regarding disrespectful tourism, and anyone who comes here thinking that they can destroy the island or disturb citizens or heritage, already faces serious sanctions"
said Marius Cladionus, spokesman for the Association for Insularian Independence."First it was the death penalty, one of the most shameful things in our recent history and that fortunately, Mrs. Oltra did not approve, but more and more it shows how between Insularia and the rest of Selucia there is an abysmal difference."
"It is not in my nearest roadmap to even ask to ask the central government to hold a referendum on independence, let alone celebrate it without permission, because my opinion on nationalisms is well known."
Our critics often claim we are a right-wing party, because we stand for popular sovereignty, for strong laws, and for morality in politics and the economy. If that makes us right-wing, then so be it. But I find it hypocritical for someone who has no issues with the core of the system of capitalism and the oppression it causes to use the term "right-wing" as an insult when they differ from conservatives only in their attitude towards a small number of social issues and otherwise fully support neoliberal capitalism. It is not us who are right-wing, In Marea is the right-wing party. It is absurd for a party that has endorsed our membership in the Sharba Climate Accord to not recognize the threats posed by one of the biggest industries powering global capitalism and its environmentally destructive policies, namely mass tourism. Agaraopoulos seems to think we have something against the tourists themselves, as if we've somehow offended their honor. Our problem is not individual tourists, it is their sheer number and the unsustainable scale of industrialized and commodified tourism that causes environmental, economic, and social damage. Mass tourism leads to the excessive building of hotels and restaurants, noise pollution, light pollution, excessive travel, excessive water use, the commodification of culture, high rents, segregation, and foreign ownership of local businesses and the resulting leakage as foreign companies hire non-resident seasonal workers because they can be paid lower wages. None of these problems is caused by the individual behavior of tourists, but are the result of the very structure of mass tourism. If you were to replace all tourists with respectful and caring people but leave the structure unchanged, the result would be the same, just as replacing all capitalists with good people would solve nothing. In Marea may pride itself that we now have more women than men on the Supreme Court, but that does absolutely nothing to change the overall structure of society that leads to the poverty of women and their economic exclusion. Agaraopoulos and his party are simply blind to economic domination by just focusing on individual behavior, and that is the failure of not only In Marea but the entire ideology of liberalism, no matter how caring it portrays itself.
"Many thanks to the citizens who have trusted us to lead the nation's government, we will try with all our might not to disappoint them, although we have not been able to win in Occidentria and Cor Patriae, in the rest of the regions we have been the most voted party, and we will enforce our electoral program. "
"If an alliance really wants to settle down and unite its members in a good way, it must not base its relations on threat and confrontation, and unfortunately, the MUN has not done so much as show that face for the moment. Selucia refused to enter this organization and for that reason, we only ratified the treaty to be an observer nation, but our representative to the MUN has already made clear our position on these issues. The different political groups that make up the governing body of the MUN, with the exception of some, have decided to retaliate against nations of our own continent, such as Kalopia, who wanted to join the alliance and have only met with obstacles. We have not yet seen any major political proposal, only the creation of a large military corps, which also showed signs of trying to confront the Majatran Sea Guard, and therefore, we are not sure that this is the way to go. Not if you want this to be an alliance that lasts over time and that finally brings peace to a continent that has been battered by wars for centuries. "
"For me it has been a real honor to lead this nation for so many years, having the support of the majority of the citizens, although there have been bitter or hard moments - in summary reference to their confrontation with their government partners for the performances of Mr. Yukimura. , or to the internal conflict with Artemisia Oltra - I can say that being a politician in Selucia is one of the most rewarding things that someone can be, not only for the respect and camaraderie that emanates even from rival forces, but also for the joy it gives to know that we are improving the lives of millions of people.
When I joined the ranks of my party, more than 50 years ago, I did not aspire to govern. I aspired to do my bit to change the world, to change Selucia. And I would say that I have achieved it. And I have reached the highest I could reach. We have fought hard to guarantee a good life for all our citizens, regardless of their country of origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender ... we have worked for all of them. And nothing could make me happier. I've shown little children that they have to pursue their dreams, that if the want they can, and that there is no one to stop them.
Obviously there are people who do not share my ideas, our political ideas. I respect it. But we have also ruled for them, and I hope that this has made them open their eyes on us. Our party sometimes still carries the label of a revolutionary because of how it had to be conformed and when it had to do it. And I'm not going to deny it. Because without revolution, there are no advances, there is no change. That is also why I decided to step aside and not stand for re-election. It's time for new faces in politics, and I will not be the one to stop it. "
