Internal Ministry "alerted to Majatran Alliance plot to infiltrate Vanukese government," arrests six in Wiel suburbThe Ministry of Internal Affairs has evidence that the Majatran Alliance, long known to be a front for Istalian anti-Jelbic aggression, has sought to infiltrate the government of the Kingdom of Vanuku and do damage to the defensive capabilities of the Kingdom, according to a spokesman for Minister of Internal Affairs Dnkai Heijkaisrmko Skronores.
"The Ministry has become aware of a wide-ranging and broadly ineffectual effort by agents of the Majatran Alliance to gain access and do damage to Vanuku at the highest levels," said the spokesman. "This plot has been hampered through the arrest today of its chief architects who hid ignobly in a suburb of Wiel. These men will be questioned thoroughly to reveal the depth of their network in the Kingdom, and already our agents are working diligently to make further arrests. Citizens of the Kingdom are urged to report suspicious activity to the authorities."
The arrests come only shortly after a
provocative "military exercise" by several Majatran Alliance nations but led by Istalian forces. The Ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs have made no comment on that exercise. Foreign experts have questioned whether any plot to undermine the Vanukese government actually existed, and at least one Artanian commentator noted that this might signal the beginning of further arrests based on the "testimony" of these captured men. That same commentator noted that the
Green Party of Vanuku is rumored to have ties to the
Majatran Alliance party organization and urged international observers to monitor closely the actions of the Vanukese government toward supporters of that party in the near future.
Anti-Hosian school reform protests deemed to present "risk to public safety," dozens arrested at protest in WielA
protest in Wiel organized by the Internationalist Democratic Party ended with dozens arrested by security forces after the protest was deemed to pose a risk to public safety by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Ministry, when asked to comment, offered this response:
Hosianism is the bedrock of Vanukese society, and the protest in Wiel was dispersed both for the safety of those protesting as well as the safety of those Hosians who were threatened by the presence of openly anti-Hosian demonstrators on public property. The freedom of religious belief is paramount in Vanuku, and if these men and women wish to boycott the Hosian schools they are welcome to try their childrens' luck at a public institution or at a non-Hosian private school,
but they are not welcome to march on the streets.
Just a bunch of shit.
