February 4782 - Ever since their arrest two years ago the three Malivians caught in the Mkldrekrnék mountains with illegal firearms and documents implying their plan to murder all those involved in the bull sacrifice for a fruitful year have been interned in the Krlín Penal Labour Prison. The KPLP is Vanuku's most notorious prison, known for its policy of hard labour and little tolerance for weakness. The prison guards are often recruited from hard-line Krlmek tribes, who have little mercy for the weak and unwilling. International organizations involved in the well-being for prisoners have often criticized the "barbaric" prison yet the state has always defended it, saying that only the "worst of the worst" go into the penal labour system. For the three Malivians to fulfil their prior-sentence inside the Krlín Penal Labour Prison is an unique occurrence, with some speculating involvement of the Minister of Justice.

Nonetheless the Lord Justice Merlkai Nachten gave a lifelong sentence for all three, to be fulfilled in the Krlín Penal Labour Prison. In his sentence statement the Lord Justice declared that "due to your failure of executing your plot you will be spared the death sentence, which in the Vanuku can only be handed to those involved in acts of terrorism or crimes against mankind. Had your plot succeeded it would have been an act of terrorism against the Khaganate. Nonetheless only the harshest punishment available will be fit for men of your ill stature, all three individuals are hereby charged with lifelong imprisonment."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs refused to comment on the rising chilling relations between Malivia and Vanuku.

May 4782 - With the Deltarian economy in decline and with many Majatran nations likely following suit the Prefect of Vanuku, Hkinor Kárak, has other plans for the Khaganate and especially Vanuku. "It is time to board the HVMS Wrnuke!" he said at a special ceremony to bless the Khaganate's economy and to attract potential investors. While Vanuku's economy has had a harsh dip a decade ago, it has turned around in recent years thanks to hands-on government involvement in reviving Vanuku's economy. Further cooperation with Jelbania has boosted the growing economy of Vanuku even more. With Deltaria reporting job losses, Vanuku is reporting a decrease in unemployment. These figures are mostly aided by the fact unemployment was unreasonable high for Vanukean standards, yet fiscal experts are predicting Vanuku is going into another street than Deltaria. "The gloomy days are behind us," said economist Hrne Kez'i, she further added that "the Deltarian approach of letting the economy figure itself out has put too much trust into these companies, now that the trust is lost the system will see a partial collapse". When asked if Deltaria would recover she seemed positive "it is only a matter of time before investors in Deltaria see the cheap options and return to normal, therefore it is even more important that Vanukean companies now seize the moment."

The Prefect has invited nations across the globe to establish trade links with the Khaganate, with oil production at an all-time high exports will soon follow. The Jelbanian mines, under the guidance of TBTK-Jelbe, are now also exporting many minerals and metals across Terra. The Prefect further added that "all companies are welcome to Vanuku, as long as they register with the Ministry of Trade & Industry, and as long as they get no majority share". The Ministry of Trade & Industry promises great profits to all those that invest now.

State offers tens of thousands of jobs to Jelbék seasonal workers
Chairman Dnkai Zhtál of TBTK-Jelbe agrees to cooperate with government to "create" jobs.


Construction of housing for the miners has already begun near new mining areas in Jelbe, the state will use labour projects to keep unemployment low.

June 4782 - The Khaganate takes care of their own was a message brought forward by the Kárak cabinet when it became clear the economies of Deltaria and Jakania were stalling. While unemployment in Vanuku itself was under control, many seasonal workers in Jelbania saw themselves out of work with the Deltarian economy closing shop. Dr. Merlmai Harif, the minister of Trade & Industry, was quick to draft a resolution. "Now more than ever do we need to make sure the entire Khaganate remains united and strong" she said, while presenting the "Jobs for Jelbe" plan. The government has concluded a confidential agreement with the investment firm TBTK Krp, who assigned their subsidiary TBTK-Jelbe to the task of facilitating said jobs with government help.

Chairman Dnkai Zhtál, the head of TBTK-Jelbe, reacted in an enthusiastic manner to the "Jobs for Jelbe" plan. "Right now we are busy with starting up mining operations across Jelbe, it is the aim of TBTK to expand existing mines and start over fifteen new mines this year alone. What we were lacking was a labour force to make this possible, the seasonal workers that are now out of work offer an excellent opportunity for us, the government and in the end for them. Our experts will train the workers to be miners, we will provide housing in the area and guarantee a fair pay. They get jobs, insurance and the assurance that they will not have to spend months on end scraping by on nothing." said Zhtál. TBTK-Jelbe has not been inactive on the project, as many construction workers are already on mining sites to build houses for the labourers. Minister Harif added the hopeful message that "we will do everything within our might to avoid economic downturn within the Khaganate." So far the "Jobs for Jelbe" project has attracted approximately 50,000 Jelbéks looking for work, more are expected to follow in the winter months.

TBTK Krp offers to intervene in Deltaria; seeks international expansion
Krsyijkai Skronores, TBTK Krp's international Chairman, has offered to assist with ailing Deltarian economy.

October 4782 - The new financial titan TBTK Krp has offered to assist Deltaria in combating its crashing economy. "TBTK is built on opportunity and cooperation, the Deltarians need us now so we are here to help," said Chairman Krsyijkai Skronores, "while the Khaganate and Deltaria do not exactly see eye to eye we do find it of the utmost importance that the entirety of Majatra is doing well in an economic sense, in the end we are a corporation that cares for Majatra, not just the Khaganate." TBTK Krp is willing to establish TBTK-Deltarska and establish the same type of job creating programs that have been established under Vanukean guidance in Jelbania. Deltarian workers are also welcome to join the Jelbanian workers in the Jelbanian mining industry according to Skronores, "all help is welcome, we offer housing and good pay with contracts guaranteed by Jelbanian law."

Due to the tensions between the Khaganate and Deltaria it is unlikely the government of the latter will take the financial giant up on the offer. Nonetheless the Chairman of the international corporation remains positive, "we try to seize every opportunity to grow and nourish our company and we hope the Deltarian state will give us the chance to help them so that they in turn can help us." However some remain critical and sceptical of TBTK Krp, it is still unknown who owns the company. The figureheads of TBTK Krp and TBTK-Jelbe, Skronores and Zhtál, are only members on the payroll and hold the title of Chairman of the Board of Directors. They control a large part of the day to day business, but in the end are just employees. The owner, or owners, of the corporation are known to the Khaganate government through the Ministry of Trade & Industry but both institutions refuse to give up the information. "The Khaganate has struck a deal with the people behind TBTK to protect their privacy, they believe it is for their own safety and company interest to remain anonymous and behind the scenes, whoever owns said corporation should not have an influence on the business it conducts either way." said a spokesperson of the Ministry of Trade & Industry.

Prefect Kárak announced grand plans for 1200th birthday of Jelbic hero on Day of the Great Temrkai
In 4791 the 1200th anniversary of Temrkai Khan will pass by, the Duke has now announced grand plans of celebrations across the Khaganate.


Temrkai Khan, born as Nikandro Heraklito, is widely considered a hero in the Jelbosphere.

January 4784 - On the 6th of January it was a time of celebration across the Kingdom of Vanuku once again. Every year the Vanukeans come out and celebrate the birthday of the national savour Temrkai Khan. It was when Barmenistan invaded and all allies abandoned Vanuku that the great Augustan commander agreed to intervene. Not only did he repel the invasion out of Vanuku, he then subjugated Barmenistan and proclaimed himself Temrkai Khan after the Emperor of the Augustans betrayed him. Ever since then the legacy of the Jelbic hero is celebrated in Vanuku. Though this years edition was even more joyous when Prefect Hkinor Kárak announced that the entire Khaganate would have a month of celebrations on the 1200th anniversary of the fabled Temrkai.

The next few years will be used as preparation and to lift the spirits of the Jelbics across the Khaganate, with many seasonal workers still experiencing difficulty due to the Deltarian financial collapse. Prefect Kárak also announced that many things will be required for the festivities, and that due to the fact seasonal workers still need labour the government has decided to start preparations early. Workers across the Khaganate are therefore called towards the major cities of the Khaganate to file for jobs with the Committee of the Great Temrkai.


Minister Obbéz offers reconciliation to Malivia

Minister Sófz Obbéz of Foreign Affairs, requested by the Khagan himself on the diplomatic mission to reconcile with Malivia.

April 4784 - The Khagan himself has put in a request with the government to reconcile with Malivia, with many expecting the influence of his Khatun's in this affair. Nonetheless the cabinet consented to the request, with Prefect Kárak commenting to the media that "the Khagan has no influence on the governing of the nation, but he is free to give his input and quite frankly, we agree with him on this one; the diplomatic row with Malivia is a stain on our record." The Minister of Foreign Affairs herself was requested by the Khagan to head this project, the soft-spoken Minister Obbéz has a reputation for being an excellent diplomat. "The diplomatic mission has a high priority, therefore it was only logical to have our chief head the project" said a spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He further stated that the Khaganate is willing to restore all ties with Malivia, including the Queen Temrmai Orphans Project, and will offer to give substantial financial aid to keep the Malivian economy going. "Other nations need not be the victim of Deltaria's decline" said Jebr Vrn-Zhtál of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to inside sources the financial giant TBTK has also been involved by the government, and will be proposed to the Malivians as a business partner to "boost" their economy. In turn for restoring all ties and aid the Vanukean delegation is rumoured to expect an apology for the lynching of the Jelbic poachers, requesting their bones to be returned to the Khaganate so they can be handed over to their families. Furthermore it is expected for the Khaganate to demand some concessions from Malivia, which will most likely be highly profitable for the Khaganate in the long run.
