Vilhelmo Stelara about Cobura
July 4435
Image
Prime Minister Vilhelmo Stelara summoned a press conference this morning to respond to criticism from Cobura. The statement began with a speech on the growing power of the bourgeois system in the world and assured the public that no such system would win in Zardugal. In connection with this, he expressed his opinion on closed borders. It is necessary to take measures to prevent foreign spies from entering Zardugal. Then he started to talk about Cobura itself:

Cobura is a bourgeois country that only seeks to get rid of its competitor - Zardugal. The Coburan government points to Zardic refugees who want to return to their country. These people, however, are traitors who have left their socialist homeland before closing the border. Now they want to come back because they find that bourgeois society does not suit them. It's too late. Upon their return, they would immediately be executed for treason.
Vilhelmo Stelaro

Stelara continued to talk about Cobura, using expressions such as bourgeois waste, capitalist exploiters, or the anti-proletarian seat of conspirators. At the end of his speech, he said he was ready to end any diplomatic relations with Cobura if similar criticism would be repeated.

MIGRANT CRISIS SOLVED
MORE THAN 85,000 MIGRANTS TRANSPORTED TO CILDANIA, SELUCIA, BADARA, KALOPIA AND ISTALIA
Image
AŬGUSTA — Minister of Internal Affairs Soroya announced yesterday that the majority of 130,000 refugees who entered Cobura last year have been transported to other Majatran nations, following a Coburan request for help.

Following the massive migrant influx in the summer of 4434, the Coburan borders have been very crowded with migrants, mostly Zardic and Jelbanian refugees who have left their home country in search of a better life abroad. Struggling with the documentation process, Cobura requested other MA nations to help with the migrant crisis by means of transporting the migrants to other countries, where they could be processed in smaller numbers and with less delay. Quickly, the request was followed by immediate action from various authorities, on which Prime Minister Osir commented: ‘’It is encouraging to see so many nations step up to help their allies in need. This truly is a victory for pan-Majatran cooperation, and shows that in times of crisis, our friends are always closer than our enemies’’.

Nations like Cildania & Badara (50,000 migrants), Kalopia (30,000 migrants) and Istalia (7,500 migrants) have given shelter to more than two thirds of the total number of migrants. From the 150,000 applicants at the border, 20,000 of which have been denied access to the country due to various reasons (mostly convictions and absence of documentation), Cobura now shelters 42,500 migrants. A year ago, the State Secretary of Immigration announced that of these Cobura-based migrants, all Zardic and Jelbanian refugees will be provided a green card that allows them to stay in the country for at least 10 years. After that, they will either have to return to their country of origin, or apply for Coburan citizenship.

OSIR: ZARDIC PM ''SHOULD BE TRIED''
COBURAN PRIME MINISTER LASHES OUT TO ZARDUGAL AGAIN, GREEN CARD REGULATIONS FOR ZARDIC REFUGEES
Image
SHARBA - Four Zardic diplomats will be banned from Cobura after continuous reports of public prosecutions of citizens for their religion, by the Zardic government. The Human Rights Organisation for Southwest Majatra (HROSM) repeatedly released several alarming reports, including cases with racism, corruption and human rights violations.

Coburan Minister of Foreign Affairs Mishe Otek Sisem stated that ‘’The continuous oppression of its citizens from the Zardic government is very alarming’’. Since a communist government took office several years ago, religion has been banned and the Zardic economy has turned increasingly more isolationist, just like its foreign policy.

Following the quick communist overtake in the northern neighbor of Cobura, a big migrant flow arose at the Zardic-Coburan border. Later that year, a record number of around 100,000 refugees were reported to be at the border. Many of these have been transported to other nations, whereas a third has been given a green card residence permit in Cobura, where they will be given basic provisions such as housing, nutrition and work.

Following remarks made by the previous Prime Minister Zemala about the socialization of Zardugal, which she called ‘’alarming’’ and ‘’’destabilizing’’, Zardic Prime Minister Vilhelmo Stelara immediately responded with claiming that the Coburan State is ‘’a bourgeois country that only seeks to get rid of its competitor – Zardugal’’, and that any Zardic refugees willing to return to their country will be executed for treason. In the end of his speech, he criticized the Coburan Government to be ‘’bourgeois waste, capitalist exploiters, and the anti-proletarian seat of conspirators’’.
In response, Coburan Prime Minister Teksousia Osir responded:
The Coburan Government does not seek any advice nor criticism from a nation that denies its citizens basic human rights. Human rights that Cobura has safeguarded for more than a century, by creating a constitution that obliges every government of this nation to provide the citizens of Cobura with fundamental rights. Because of our warm relations with Zardugal in the past, we are willing to continue to engage in diplomatic affairs, but not if the Prime Minister continues making unfounded, hostile remarks. It's my personal belief anyway that this man does not belong in a Prime Minister's office, but behind bars, to be tried by an international court of justice.

After that, protests started near the Zardic Embassy in Sharba and the Zardic Consulate in Aŭgusta, where the police eventually had to show up to separate Pro-Stelara activists and Coburan protesters. For the rest of the day, the house block around both the consulate and the embassy were closed, and their security will be updated.

ETHNIC CLEANSING IN ZARDUGAL CONFIRMED
FOREIGN MINISTER PROMISES ACTION
Image
SHARBA - The Coburan Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday imposed sanctions on the Zardic Government for "widespread" human rights abuses throughout the country. The sanctions include both financial and judicial measures.

The department accused the service members of ethnic cleansing in the Kalvario region of Zardugal, and other human rights abuses in the cities of Beleco and Réspubliko Megalopolis. A release said security forces have taken part in massacres, sexual assault and extrajudicial killings. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is sanctioning units and leaders overseeing this horrific behavior as part of a broader Coburan government strategy to hold accountable those responsible for such wide scale human suffering," said Minister of Foreign Affairs Feyza Hadire. "There must be justice for the victims and those who work to uncover these atrocities, with those responsible held to account for these abhorrent crimes." The sanctions target not only Zardic army officers, who can now be arrested when on Coburan territory (in the name of ‘International Justice’), but also damages the image of the Zardic government.

Last month, international human rights group Fortify Rights accused the Zardic government of genocide against the Mallan minority living in the country. Thousands fled violence and attempted to enter neighboring Coburan, leading to a refugee crisis there. The Mallans, largely living in Zardugal’s Kalvario state, are an ethnic minority in Zardugal, but are currently prosecuted and see their citizenship taken. The majority of Zardugal’s population is Augustan, as is its government. Within a few weeks of the reports, conservative estimates from CobAid showed at least 6,700 Mallans were killed in the violence, including at least 730 children under the age of 5, and hundreds of thousands of Mallans had fled.

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Sidhom stated that ‘’the Zardic Mallan has become a victim of its own governments’ atrocities. When we thought we’ve had the worst with the nasty Stelara government, the people of Zardugal have yet again failed to elect a decent cabinet that is not violating human rights’’.

As a result, the Coburan Central Bank has announced it will update its transaction system for Zardo-Coburan international transactions, so Coburan Mallans can better financially support their Zardic families. Also, the State Secretariate of Immigration has announced to look at possibilities for green card regulations for Zardic Mallans and Zardic political refugees.

NEWS UPDATE: The Coburan Government, led by Prime Minister Sidhom, had announced that it will send 15,000 troops to the Coburan-Zardic border in order to ''protect it from Zardic agressors entering the nation and possibly harming the Mallan population''.

The Coburan Prime Minister spoke: ''The risk of Zardic emperialists crossing the border, where they could kidnap more Mallans, is simply too big. Therefore, it is necessary that the Coburan Armed Forces step in and help the Coburan Customs and Border Patrol (CoCuBoP) protect and secure our borders against the terrible government of Zardugal. Its a big step, but also one we must take if we want to protect our national sovereignty and values''.
