Pāytakht-e Aldegār - The new destroyer of the Aldegarian National Navy named the Horzia class, designed and constructed by the defense company Ahzura, is entering its sea trials. The first fully constructed ship of the class has finally been finished and its sailors are currently undergoing training to man the many new systems on board. The new ship, which was first codenamed the C-14, is entering its sea trials in august this year and is expected to be fully taken into service by the end of the year.

The State Ministry of Defense has stated that only one ship in the new Horzia class has been constructed and that they will "await its sea trials before going ahead with the other planned ships in this class". The SMD has ordered around 28 additional new Horzia class destroyers but has asked Ahzura to wait with their construction as the ministry wants to be entirely sure that the ship is exactly what the National Navy is looking for. The first ship in the class has already been tested in several simulations and will enter sea trials to see if its up to the tasks that will be required for it. The Horzia class possesses new advanced radar equipment, anti submarine installations, a main gun for ship to ship combat, new improved missile system to launch at ground targets, a new torpedo system and electronic warfare measures which the State Ministry also stated during the initial reveal of its design. In total the State Ministry will have 29 new destroyers for the navy by the end of the decade if everything goes according to plan. Executives from the Ahzura company stated that they are "confident that the new Horzia destroyers are capable vessels that will give the Aldegarian navy the edge they need at sea to adequately protect their waters and execute a variety of mission on the open sea"

If everything goes to plan the company expects to start construction on the remaining 28 ships of the class in december, producing them in batches and finishing all of them by the end of 4660.

Pāytakht-e Aldegār - The State owned Aldegar Airways is keen on making a comeback. The company which is 100% in the hands of the Aldegarian government has been struggling for over a decade now as most of its commercial flights halted and only a small number of cargo flights where still operational due to a lack of funding. Now it seems like the government is renewing its effort to make the national airline into a success. As the government is expanding and improving its military it is also looking for ways to expand its influence at least in the region. By reviving the national airline the government seeks to do just that

Most of the planes capable of carrying passengers have been in significant disrepair and are uncapable of carrying passengers at this moment. However with 2 billion LOD pledged by the government to the airline repairs have already launched to get the passenger carrying planes back in the air. Aldegarian Airways is currently negotiating with several nations accross Seleya to schedule regional flights between the capital of aldegar and other capitals within the region so that Aldegar Airways has several routs to put their planes on. The airway has also replaced its former director with a new director, a former military pilot himself.

With the new path of the airline set and its people work hard to get passenger flights back in the air the renewed confidence in the airline and flights soon to start accross the region will certainly gain Aldegar a new position in regional politics.

Pāytakht-e Aldegār - The succesfull private defense company Nader Yazdani has once again secured a government contract for the development of, what the government calls a "true Main Battle Tank". The previous tank designed and produced by Nader Yazdani was the Sabre tank, considered by many as inferior to modern main battle tanks but still a "usefull addition" according to the Aldegarian military. The new to be produced mbt does not have a name yet but Nader Yazdani does have the first specifications this tank must have. The company won over the Alpire Corporation, which has lost several contracting bids in recent years.

The new tank will, according to specifications released by the State Ministry of Defense and Nader Yazdani, have a 125mm smoothborne main gun which is far stronger then the 105mm gun of the current Sabre tanks. It will have 2 machine guns, one coaxal and one mounted machine gun, it will get a strong engine capable of getting the tank to a maximum of 70 kilometers per hour (43 mph). The tank will also, if Nader Yazdani is to be believed, possess a new fire control system, laser rangefinder and a autoloader for the main gun, making it a true MBT in the eyes of many. Armour of the tank will also be significantly improved with a armoured skirt covering its wheels and a reinforced turret as well as stronger plate armour. The tank will not have advanced defensive measures however such as automatic systems to intercept enemy ordanance and the armour will not be plated with radioactive reactive armour, which some modern tanks do have.

Despite some features lacking compared to the most modern tanks out there the new tank to be developed by Nader Yazdani is, according to experts, a true battle tank and capable of standing on its own in the battlefield, combat testing will have to prove its true effectiveness on the battlefield however. The military high command is optimistic about the new tank, hoping that it will be as good as other modern MBT's out there.

Due to the limited budget of the State Ministry as it also supports other projects the Nader Yazdani company will have to put significant resources of themselves in the project. The government did however pledge to order a "significant amount" of new tanks if the company succeeded in its development to make sure that the company's costs will be mostly covered. A contract for the maintenance of the tanks will have to give Nader Yazdani enough revenue to make it profitable to develop and construct the tank according to the State Ministry.

Pāytakht-e Aldegār - During a state visit to Trigunia State President Hedayati and his Minister of Defense have struck a deal with the Trigunian government for the purchase of several military assets. This includes the purchase of a S-400 missile defense system, the production license for the KA-52 attack helicopter and around 50 heavy strategic transport cargo planes. The deal came after the Aldegarian president visited the northern nation in an attempt to find more strategic allies in Terra after several nations came into conflict with Aldegar.

The weapons deal is seen as controversial by other nations as the Aldegarian regime is regarded as a "rogue state" by many including Kazulia. Especially the selling of the highly modern S-400 missile system is seen as a threat by many, Aldegar will receive a full artillery batallion including 9 missile launchers and a command center. The deal also includes the selling of the production license for the modern KA-52 attack helicopter. This license is likely to be given to the Ahzura company so that it may construct the helicopters for the Aldegarian National Airforce. The State Ministry expects to put a order of 20 KA-52 helicopters in with Ahzura in the coming months.

The heavy transport planes will be constructed and delivered by Trigunia itself and the same counts for the S-400 missile as this is to sensitive of technology to let others produce it.

The missile system and transport planes are expected to be delivered within the next 4 to 6 years. The helicopters, produced by the Ahzura Defense Corporation, will be finished in batches of 2 with the first batch to be delivered late next year.

Pāytakht-e Aldegār - The State owned oil company of Aldegar named "Aldegar Oil" has reported a peak in oil production in the last quarter of last year. The company states that the reason for the peak is the governments decision to construct additional oil fields and refining fascilities causing oil production to skyrocket in recent years. There is however one problem with the increase in oil production as the Aldegarian government is having a hard time finding new markets to export both crude and refined oil to.

The government has, according to the report, has tried for the last 2 years to find proper export markets to export the big surplus of oil to but has failed to find one as of yet. State President Hedayati is expected to step up efforts in finding proper markets by conducting several state visits over the coming months and attempting to strike deals with the respective nations he is visiting. Currently Aldegar is still exporting oil to several Artanian and Seleyan nations but the deals currently in place are nowhere near enough to export all or at least most of the surplus oil and oil related products.

The State Ministry for Foreign Affairs has revealed that Hedayati plans on visiting several seleyan nations, most notably Valruzia and Kalistan, in an attempt to get them to purchase more oil from Aldegar, despite both nations possessing small oil reserves themselves. Hedayati will also attempt to strike new deals with Artanian nations in an effort to at least make sure most of the surplus of oil is being exported.

When asked about whether oil production would from now on be limited the State Ministry of Economic Affairs stated that oil production will stay at "current levels" until the office of the president gives new directives.

Pāytakht-e Aldegār - The Ministry of Defense has revealed the first prototype of the new "Tanamet" class Main Battle Tank designed and manufactured by the Nader Yazdani Company. The first prototype of the class was revealed during a military parade in the capital. While it didnt show of it firing its armaments the tank looked like a proper MBT and military officials are confident of its capabilities.

The parade featured the new tank which was a suprise for many. Nader Yazdani had confirmed several delays in the development of the tank due to unforseen problems, putting back the official delivery date of the first proper tank of the class by 2 years. The prototype shown during the parade was therefor also dubbed by enthusiasts as "the sitting duck" as it was clear that while its exterior was finished and it was nice to look at barely any of the actual functions of the tank were not properly functioning. This was also the main reason for the fact that the tank didnt drive itself and was instead on top of a truck and it did not even rotate its turret. Suggesting that the turret rotation system was not in place on the prototype.

Nader Yazdani expects the first properly functioning tank of the class to roll out of the factory by mid 4663 while they work on fixing the last batch of problems on the new tank. The Ministry of Defense has already prepared an order for around 150 tanks of the new Tanamet class MBT with more possibly ordered at a later date. The milestone about the showing of the prototype is however the fact that this is the first proper MBT shown by Aldegar to the public, marking a new page in the history of the Aldegarian National Armed Forces. The introduction of the tank at the parade also finally revealed the name of the new tank class which will, as stated earlier, be the Tanamet class. The total order of 150 Tanamet tanks will likely be ready to be delivered by the end of 4666.

Pāytakht-e Aldegār - The Kaviani Family, a minor family within the Aldegarian aristocracy, has layed claim to the vacant royal throne of Aldegar. The family has been living in exile in Hutori for over 20 years now, together with several other royal houses. The former house of the Sha of Aldegar has apparantely starved out with several of its members killed by the Hedayati regime and others dying naturally over the years

The Kaviani family was, until now, one of the most minor houses within the Aldegarian aristocracy holding little to no power at all. The family was forced into exile after Hedayati and regime took power in Aldegar. The new regime prosecuted the old aristocracy to increase its own legitimacy within the nation. Despite the law stating that nobility is allowed the Hedayati used loopholes to prosecute and even execute royalty within the nation, forcing most to flee.

With the Hedayati regime seemingly holding a strict grip on power in the Seleyan nation at the moment it thus came as a suprise that a royal family proceeded to claim the vacant throne, which will inevitably put a mark on the family their back. The decision to claim the throne, according to insiders, came as the methods of the Hedayati regime became more brutal with citizens being executed and prosecuted and human rights violations being rampant under the Hedayati regime. The family saw "no other choice" but to assume the responsibilities and dangers of claiming he throne in order to "give the Aldegarian people a slight glimpse of hope"

The Hedayati government has not officially responded to the claim but early reports suggest that the SSP has increased surveilance of the national internet services and websites reporting on the claim have been blocked, state media have also not reported on the claim in a clear attempt by the government to silence the family and make sure no Aldegarian hears about the claim. The AFSI has also reportedly increased its efforts in monitoring and possibly planning the "neutralization" of the family. It is unclear if the family is under the protection of the Hutori government as of now.

Pāytakht-e Aldegār - State President Hedayati has announced his support for the military administration of Dalibor named the Provisional Dalibor Administration. The president announced that Aldegar will formally recognize the PDA as the legitimate government of Dalibor and that he will send significant military aid to the Dalibor military.

The State President announced this at a press conference with state media. The government of Aldegar will send around new assault rifles, sidearms, grenades of different kinds and heavy anti tank weaponry to the Dalibor military which is now embroiled in a conflict with its own populace. In addition to this Aldegar will "formally recognize" the military PDA administration as the legitimate government of Dalibor. This is, according to several political commentators, another attempt by the Aldegarian government at finding allies abroad. By supporting the military PDA Hedayati hopes for a military victory in Dalibor so that he may add another ally to his growing list. The move to aid the military of Dalibor is also a way for Hedayati to intensify the conflict on the island and, hopefully, distract world powers from his own ventures.

Several governments including that of Indrala have already denounced the actions by Hedayati stating that they are "extremely dangerous for the stability of Dalibor" and "Further risk the civilian population of the country to be part of a major conflict". The Indralan Councelor-in-chief stated on his social media accounts that he is ready to "block Aldegarian ships from delivering weapons to Dalibor" and that he would "do everything to de-escalate the situation in Dalibor"

Military experts state that the military aid Aldegar will send is likely going to be shipped in cargo ships under another flag, making it nearly impossible for the Indralan Imperial Navy to intercept the cargo.

Pāytakht-e Aldegār - The State Ministry of Defense has launched a program to invest in missile systems for both surface to air and air to surface use. The new missiles will be equipped on Aldegarian jets but will also be able to be launched by Aldegarian ground installations. The investment effort will mostly be focussed on ship missiles capable of taking out enemy naval vessels but will also include medium range ground based missiles to focus on targets on both ground or in the air.

The new effort comes after the Kazulian navy started operations close to Aldegarian territorial waters. State President Hedayati ordered the State Ministry of defense to look for ways to possibly counter the threat posed by Kazulian forces. The State Ministry therefor came up with a plan to invest into the missile capabilities of the nation. Currently State Minister Hossein Kashkouli is in talks with both Trigunia and the native defense companies of Aldegar to discuss the aquisition of several different types of missiles. The ministry is likely to purchase a large quantity of anti ship missiles to counter the Kazulian navy in the area as well as purchasing ground based surface to air and surface to surface systems to possibly be prepared for a enemy invasion of the country.

In 4658 the ministry already bought the highly modern S-400 missile system from Trigunia, which is seen as one of the best missile systems in Terra. This system already gave Aldegar the capability of defending its airspace from enemy missiles and aerial forces but these capabilities are now being expanded upon.
The purchase of the missile systems and individual missiles will likely conclude by the end of next year.

Military forces parade through Karvan as the UAP asserts its authority
Tired of years of neglect, incompetence, and near anarchy the concerned citizens of Aldegar have taken action with breathtaking speed. Admiral Ahmed Rouani gathered a large and diverse coalition of society that consisted of military officials, former senior civil servants, business leaders, and social leaders into a newly reformed United Aldegar Party (UAP) which is determined to restore the nation and the republic. A provisional government has been established in Karvan, on the island province of Somasi while official security forces and unofficial militia groups have seized key cities and infrastructure routes. To keep the international community relieved at the new order being born here, Foreign Minister Ali Mobarat (former General in the Army) and Trade Minister Nousha Parvaneh issued a statement maintaining the Aldegar Canal, a vital route for international commerce would remain open and operational per normal.

Despite an outwards appearance of unity and comity among the new rulers in the United Aldegar Party (UAP) there deep divisions among the countless competing factions and groups. Social and religious groups, mostly of a conservative nature seek to establish a more unitarian and conservative government focused on social policies and ills they consider to be afflicting Aldegarian society. Meanwhile business and commercial groups are opposed to more stringent social restrictions on their businesses and are keen to attract critically needed international investment. Hanging in the balance are the civil service which has yet to be reorganized, and the already organized military and security services, who have yet to make their intentions known. So far in early legislation the party has tended towards economic liberalism, and social moderation but all sides are rearing for a fight!
