The Freda Church at Large
Fear is awash over the country, as the Freda Church release a strange message saying; "We are not finished yet".
But who are the Freda Church.
The Freda Church (pronounced Free-daa) is a religious cult that is a form of anarchism. They claim to be the first religion in the whole of Terra; but since no one has heard of them since last Thursday it is highly doubtable. They are racist and violent towards non-members epically those of the Gerjan faith. Their leader Melvie Router the founder of the English Christian Party who was expelled for being extremely racist in March 3094 the party was then not recognised as a political party. It is believed by Geradschanische Wohlfahrtszeitschrift von Malivia that he started his campaign when the Konservative Partei became Gerajan, the party he founded had become the very thing he hated. The where abouts of any of the Freda Church is unknown.

The Raja Assassinated
The Nation in Mourning

Today, in the early hours of the morning, His Gerajan Majesty, Maharaja of all Rajas, King of Kings, Prince of Princes of Malivia, Protector of the Faithful, Leader and First Guru of the Geraja, Lord of Polkana, Lord-Protector of Dendar, Sultan of Washibar and the Washite Isles, Highking of Itaki, Archprince of the Highlands of Walkunia and Great-Guphta of the Nether Walkunia; Defender of the Gerajan Creed, Guardian of the Malivian Sea, Raja Joseph Hundya II. was killed in a terrorist attack.

At 3 am, as usual, the Raja went to the royal temple to have his morning devotions, accompanied just by five guards and a small staff of ceremonial worshippers, dancers, and gurus. At 4:30 am, when the devotions had ended, the Raja set out to return to his quarters (the royal temple being incorporated in the royal palace). The return from the temple is usually taken via the Bridge of Complacency, a large, wooden bridge leading over one of the many artificial rivers of the palace. And this bridge was exactly where the terrorists would strike. Apparently, one of the terrorists had made his way into the group of bridge wardens responsible for maintenance and guarding of the important bridges in the palace.

This terrorist, whose identity is not yet known, positioned himself on the far side of the bridge, and, as soon as the Raja reached the top in the middle of the bridge, opened fire from a machine gun he had been able to bring into the palace. Neither the Raja or any of his entourage were able to escape this devastating attack. Besides the Raja, his five guardsmen, and four other members of the palace staff were killed. Finally, when the murderer could be sure that none of his victims were alive anymore, he shot himself with some kind of ceremonial revolver, the exact origin of which still has to be determined.

Of course, the whole nation is in shock - and no one more than the royal family, especially the oldest son of Joseph Hundya II., who has now become the new Maharaja of all Rajas Joseph Hundya III. The burial of the old Raja is held in a month, and attendance of many of the crowned heads of Terra is to be expected. The official crowning of the new Raja, and the ceremonial bathing that introduces the new leader of the Gerajan faith, will be after a mourning period of one year.

There is no hint for now on the identity of the terrorist or the group behind the attack, however, new, stricter security measures for the palace have already been introduced, and the police has made this case of course their top priority.

Tensions high in Malivia - Darnussia responsible?

Ever since the assassination of the Raja, it has become increaslingly difficult to get official statements from public officials, especially on the subject of the Raja's murderer or the Freda Church. Now however, the government, together with His Gerajan Majesty the Raja, who clearly lacks the peaceful attitude of his father, have gone on a manhunt which some experts seem to call "extensive" (and sometimes "all-out"). In the last week, there have been over 120 arrests in connection with either the murder or at least suspicion of membership in the Freda Church.

However, this is not all - discreet sources from within the palace seem to know, that it is now seen as highly likely that the Freda Church are in fact backed up by a foreign "investor" who seems to have set his eye on Malivia, the Abode of Welfare herself. There have been no comments, official or otherwise, on which country exactly is under suspicion of furthering these terrorrist group, but some political analysist, as well as international relations experts and most conspiracy theorists agree, that there is one country who'd perfectly fit - Darnussia. So what is happening in the palace of the Maharaja of all Rajas? What will happen next? Especially now, that Terra once again sees war in Macon, what will happen to Artania?

Malivian Army to move to Darnussian Border?
The Versammlun is currently voting to send the army to the Darnussian-Malivian border. Both the monarchists and the welfare party are for it.
Although at the moment neither will comment on the possiblity of a full intervention.

Onward, Malivia!

After the elections, which delayed the Malivian reaction to the Darnussian civil war for a bit (although it brought no significant change in Malivias politics), both ruling parties are now more determined than ever not to let the Darnussian civil war overflow into Malivia.

Both parties have again voted for a complete lockdown of the borders, and the proposal to send Malivian troops to the border is also on its way again. However, is this enough for Malivian security to be, well, secured? Right now, Both His Majesty the Raja Joseph Hundya III., the Chancellor, the Minister of Defence, and other top leaders and generals of our nation are having numerous conferences, one after the other, on further actions. Political analysists are now wildly analysing the possible consequences, and from peaceful intervention and de-mobilization to an all out war against one of the Darnussian fractions, everything seems possible - although most agree that the most likely scenario is not more than a monetary support for one of the groups.

News of the Freda Church?

In other news (though possibly connected), more details of the hideous organisation known as the Freda Church, the violent and fanatic group that assassinated the old Raja, has become unveiled.
It is now suspected that they are not so much a religious, fanatic sect, but rather a radical political group. This could be found out by the many police raids on members or alleged members and supporters of the organisation. Now it seems, that the Freda Church are most likely only superficially religious, and rather very extreme politically - most believe that they are probably communists.

Don't Panic
"Don't panic" said Monty Donaldson internal affairs minister "The lock down on the border is just a precaution, there is no reason to be alarmed. The key thing is not to panic, I would be panicking if we had not put these precautions in place, because we are now prepared for anything. This country won't be going to war in Darnussia."

Is it War?

Today, both Archchancellor and Minister of Defence have moved forward, in accordance with the Malivian Law of Warfare of 3008, to enter war with Dorvik, in order to stop the support for the Darnussian communists. While it can be sure that the GWP will vote in favour of a declaration of war, it is not yet clear how the GMP will vote - although most agree that they too will support going to war.

The army has been mobilized and stationed at the border months ago, so whatever happens, when the declaration is done, it will happen swiftly.

At the same time, Darnussia has been requested to allow Malivian troops on its soil, in order to advance against the Dorvish troops that have already entered Darnussia.
The Malivian Navy has already been given orders to prevent any troop supply by sea, and army and airforce are ready to go and fight for the freedom of Malivia and Darnussia.
