SUBAH KA TOTA

DEFENSE REASSESSMENT LOKING AT AIR SUPERIORITY

Modalin, September 17, 5006: The Minister of Defense, Dakhsha Jadhav, met with Ministry officials and received reports on three subjects.

SUBAH KA TOTA has learned that the three subjects were as follows:

The Chief of Strategic Missile Troops recommended that this service arm be incorporated into another branch of the armed forces. Whether the similarity to handling the SAM’s already operated by the Army or the similarity to air defense operations by the Air Force would favor the Army or Air Force was not specified. The Chief did suggest the Navy would likely be the least likely even though defense against a naval invasion might be a possibility. The Defense Ministry directed that the Chief of the Army Staff, Chief of the Admiralty and Chief of the Air Staff make recommendations.

The Chief of Logistics has suggested that the Logistics Corps be retained rather than dispersed to the Army, Navy and Air Force. The Defense Ministry has approved this on a temporary basis pending submission by the Logistics Corps of a plan for integration into the Army, Navy and Air Force.

The Chief of Air Staff recommends that for the time being the Ye – 255 and Ye – 355 remain our principal air superiority resources. We have 230 Ye – 255’s which are Malivian improved models of the Triguniam MiG – 31 and 130 Ye – 355’s which are Malivian improved models of the Trigunia MiG – 29. These are not the most modern air superiority fighters on Terra but are quite serviceable. Since there are more pressing gaps to fill in our air power posture, the Air Staff recommends trying to purchase some additional air superiority resources and seeing if some entity in our nationalized air defense industry can reproduce some of these fighters.

The Ye – 255 are Malivian upgraded Trigunian MiG- 31’s which are very fast long range interceptor aircraft with radar capable of viewing above and below the aircraft and multi target tracking capable of engaging low flying cruise missiles and bombers. It can engage air and ground targets simultaneously and has a detection range of 400 km.

The Ye – 255 or Ye – 255 M can carry air to air, anti radiation, air to ship or air to surface missiles. It also has a 23 mm cannon with 260 rounds. It has a crew of a pilot and a weapons system operator, two after burning turbofan engines, a maximum speed of 3000 km/hour, a range of 3000 km, a service ceiling of 25,000 meters, and a rate of climb of 2888 meters/second.

TAKANEEKAH SANGH NEW OBJECTIVES

Hitam, March 15, 5007: At a meeting of the original Takaneekah Sangh Party Chapter at the Univerity of Hitam Student Recreational Center, Pradesh Singh, the recently reelected Adhyaksh, told Chapter members

Our Party has been in office for five years and we are honored to begin another term. We believe we have made progress in growing our economy which was our fundamenntal reason for forming a political party.

Want to mention three new aeas where we plan to place more emphasis. First, we believe friendly relations with our neighbors is essential to continued economic growth. We will be reaching out to our neighbors to improve our relations and doing our best not to rehash old conflicts in which we were embroiled. We currently have a simple non aggression pact with the Republic of Beluzia up for ratification. We hope the opposition party will join us in its ratification but we will have to see how that goes.

Second,it would be nice to be able to purchase military hardware and obtain licenses to manufacture it ourselves; very nice indeed. But we have serious doubts that that is possible for us on Terra today. So we may well have to rely on our own resources realizing that doing so does not produce the very best outcome. But it may well be the best possible.

Third, most people in the Malivian Democratic Republic have something in their hand at this very moment with which they communicate with others and misunderstand and misinterpret information from others and from the web and the cloud. Many do little else. So it goes. Is the government going to ban this or regulate it or lament it? What good would that do? What we may well do is require all students at every level to have group physical training exercises daily throughout the school week. With adaptations for those with difficulties. We hope to add something life lengthening to the students who may incorporate some of it into their permanent regimen. Something different

SUBAH KA TOTA

MTS AND DAL PARTY FORM COALITION GOVERNMENT

Modalin, September 15, 5008: Adhyaksh Pradesh Singh in an interview with SUBAH KA TOTA stated that a unity government of both political parties has been formed. Singh told SUBAH KA TOTA:

Maliviya Takaneekee Sangh (MTS) and the Dal Party will both be represented in the Cabinet. MTS has pretty much reached its foundational objective of getting the economy working for the sovereign people and now is trying to deal with other issues arising when we are the governing party.

The Dal Party is extremely dedicated to preserving our rich cultural heritage. MTS knows this is important but recognizes that the Dal Party actually has the talent to do this and so we welcome them to our partnership in governing the Malivian Democratic Republic.

We know we have differences but we we beliefe we can work together for a while for the good of our people.

MALIVIAN AIR CHIEF SAYS PRODUCE LOCALLY

Modalin, May 17, 5009: The Chief of Air Staff has recommended a somewhat different approach to air superiority to the Defense Minister, Dakhsha Jadhav, than previously reported. The current effort has been to find a company nationalized or otherwise that can reverse engineer our Ye-255’s and Ye-355’s which are slightly upgraded Trigunian MiG – 31’s and MiG – 29’s to be able to produce our principal air superiority units.

Failing in that we have been looking for someone to sell us not only more planes but the right to produce them. No luck to date.

Instead of this effort he proposes a three pronged approach. First, of course we remain vigilant for an opportunity to purchase more air superiority units with the license to produce them ourselves.

Second, we contract with Hitam Aeronautical Limited (HAL) which is the leadership of the sometimes nationalized and sometimes not producers of the Ye -89, our principal training light fighter. The Menon brothers and their cousins who have formed HAL will design a serviceable light fighter which can be produced in quantity to augment our existing 230 Ye-255’s and 150 ye – 355’s so that air superiority can be achieved through sheer mass against most likely attackers. We can expect results in four years and the State Military Air Consortium can take over actual production.

Third, HAL, the University of Hitam Engineering Department and the State Military Air Consortium will work together over the next seven years to develop a reverse aeronautical engineering department using our existing military fixed wing and helicopter assets as test subjects to develop expertise and orderly procedures so we really will be able to do successful reverse engineering sometime in the future.

The light fighter design we hope will be developed would be a single engine tailless compound delta wing with a single vertical stabilizer and a leading edge sweep of 62.5 degrees. The structure should be of composite material and be highly maneuverable with multi mode radar. While air superiority performance is the primary consideration, flexibility for ground support and anti ship activity would be a plus.

SUBAH KA TOTA has learned that this recommendation has been approved by the Defense Minister.

HOUSING LOAN PROGRAM ANNOUNCED

Modalin, August 17, 5010:
The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Raganuth Kumar, met with SUBAH KA TOTA and made the following announcement:

As everyone knows there are a lot of people still living in substandard housing even though our overall economic performance is certainly improving. Now what we are already doing is providing public housing to low income people. This will not change. It is a good program and helps a lot.

We thought a lot about capping rent but there are some people living like Rajahs who rent a luxury place in Modalin to either participate in government or lobby the government or enjoy the society of that community. Point is one size does not fit all. Current law is local government decides about rents and capping rents and we believe this is best way forward; if we discover local governments are not protecting the low income and the average citizen but only protecting the wealthy we will revisit this issue.

What is new is we know there are some in public housing or renting or drifting between the residences of their friends and families who would like to do a little better and very likely could repay a loan but are very unlikely to be able to get a loan from a private bank or lender employing conservative business practices. So the government acting through Central Bank will guarantee loans by private lenders so that in the event of default the government will take over the loan and if necessary the liquidated security. The loan initiation and servicing will be handled by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for communities greater than 20,000 population and by the Ministry of Food and agriculture for communities of less than 20,000 population.

We know this does not solve homelessness but it should help. We are aware that exploitation of children, a societal disorder, is something no loan or grant program can solve. We are only dealing with this through shelters and criminal law at the moment. And we are truly open to suggestions and proposals.

SUBAH KA TOTA

MTS SPLINTERING

Modalin, August 15, 5010: Adhyaksh Pradesh Singh in an interview with SUBAH KA TOTA made the following statement:

Maliviya Takaneekee Sangh (MTS) has pretty much achieved the goal which wa sthe reason we were formed – getting our national economy going again without which little was possible. With that on the road, a number of points of view have developed concerning where future emphasis should be.

Some want to focus on the instruments of economic power to insure we do not fall into economic decline again.

Others want to finally address the societal ills that have plagued us for so long.

Some want to emphasize abolishing the causes of poverty.

Still others want to reenter the international stage and become part of the international community.

Some see insuring peace with our neighbors as the fundamental concern.

Where the nation will decide to place emphasis is a political question best handled by elections to our legislature. Accordingly, there will be no MTS slate in the next election but our various factions will seek to find means to have their respective voices predominate.

We expect the Dal Party to continue to play its constructive role in leading our society.

Krantikari Dal (Krantikari = Revolutionary, Dal = Party) won a landslide victory in 5011 elections.
Modalin, February 1, 5011:Krantikari Dal, a party created just 9 years earlier in 5002 has just won a landslide victory in national elections. Due to previous Adhyaksh Pradesh Singh's resignation, the elections had to be held earlier than the scheduled time. Krantikari Dal which was voluntarily given an offer to form coalition by the Malivia Takneekee Sangh just a couple of years ago has now become the main ruling party of the nation. Pradhanmantri Ayush said that they are adamant to promote their ideology of adopting cultural identity with modernization and will soon go forward with its ban of surnames in Geraja religion (which they already did in their own party) to eradicate casteism, since in ancient Geraja surnames were not used and were rather taken from Hosian traditions which has led to strengthening of oppressive Gerajan caste system. The leader also said that they have risen from an anti-corruption movement and will not make any compromise with their integrity and will work with full dedication for the development of nation.

Protests against banning of surnames throughout Malivia
Pradhanmantri Ayush' recent statements about banning of surnames have lead to widespread protests throughout the nation. Thousands of protestors gathered in the street this morning and then burned government vehicles, blocked highways causing long traffic jams and even violent clashes with police were seen at some places. The protestors mainly belong to two groups, orthodox upper caste gerajans who are protesting that their heritage is being taken away by the Government. While shockingly even the lower caste Gerajans are protesting with them saying that the removal of surnames means removal of reservations in jobs and educational institutions for them.
On the other hand, this move has gained support from liberal upper caste, general category students who feel end of reservation will mean equal opportunity for them, Gerajan social reformers who support the cause saying end of casteism should be our main motive and from the minority communities of the nation.
Father Heinrich of Confessional Ameliorate Church of Dundorf said 'God had created all men equal and we must strive to achieve God's will. The PM's decision is a huge step for Malivians to achieve that.'
Also Akali priest Jaspal Singh ji of Kajpur gurudwara said 'Our gurus had always preached to treat every human as rabb's child and the it's not the rabb but the humans who created divisions. I even say that all Sikhs too should only use Singh and Kaur as surnames and discard all other that brings casteism into akali faith.'
There has been no statements issued by the Government yet.
