OOC: Malivia already has a designated news thread. According to my knowledge, it is against the rules of this forum for a country to have more than one news thread.

Chit chat with Ben

Postby Leo Basu » Thu Feb 07, 2019 6:04 pm

Rafael the man who untied Malivia
Welcome to the very first episode of Chit chat with Ben
As you all know first impression is the last impression and we wanted impress our audience from very first and that is why we chose a guest who has impressed entire Malivia so much that His party for freedom became largest party with seats
He is an impressive politician and very expressive human being so much that he has expressed his will to make Malivia united
SO let's get started with him
My first question to you Mr Rafael
Malivia is facing one of the biggest problems in its history the controversial problem of Bhulkhandra what do you think should be done
Bhulkhandra should be with Malivia, and i portrayed this in my parties manifesto. As you can tell the Party for Freedom won the majority of seats in Bhulkhandra and showed a union with Malivia.

But other parties disagree with this what do you say to them
To tell them that they have no support of the Malivian people. It’s why I am elected Prime Minister of Malivia, I am always going to make sure no break up of ANY sort is there. The Malivian people haven’t picked the radical left and there Socialist divisions. If the break up happened the economy of Bhulkhandra and Malivia would be down into recession
But there are more problems than this in Malivia what do you think is the biggest and How will you counter that
The immigration situation is a problem. My government has promised to control it and my finance minister will sort the economic situation out. I’ve just implemented a law if agreed by the coalition to cut foreign aid and start to Leave the Artanian Union.
OK that was a good one
Before leaving any message that you want to give to your people
I would say to them that the government has their back and an complains will be dealt. And also vote for the Party for Freedom in the elections!
So this was Rafael Leader of party For freedom
And a great man by heart
Thanks for loking we will be back with someone else next time untill then bye

"Matthias must fall, Putera must rise"
Gerajan radicals demand demolition of Matthias the Baptist Church in Serediki

Image

The Matthias the Baptist Church in Sedeki City, Bhulkhandra has become the focus of daily protests by hundreds of hardline Gerajans (OOC: Hindus) demanding the church should be demolished in order to make way for the construction of a Gerajan temple dedicated to the Gerajan god, Putera.

Centuries ago, a Puteran temple stood on the site where the church currently stands, but it was torn down by the Luthoris after they colonised Malivia. According to Gerajan legends, the site where the temple used to stand, and which the church now occupies, is the place where Putera was born thousands of years ago.

The protesters belong to a group known as the Puteran Coalition, and have become colloquially known as "Puterans". The group is closely associated with the Rajutti National Party (RNP), which won 87 seats in the recent elections. RNP leader Amish Padagavakar has been joining in the protest regularly, encouraging the agitation and delivering fiery speeches full of invective against "Luthori imperialists" and "godless Hosians who won't honour the gods who preserve the land they live on".

RNP calls for licensing of bhang

Rajutti National Party leader Amish Padagavakar has intervened in a debate over legalising cannabis in order to call for the licensing of bhang, a traditional Rajutti substance used on social and religious occasions. However, he insisted this would need to be carefully regulated, and stated "We are opposed to the full-scale legalisation of cannabis, because the consequences of that would lead to widespread social and health problems".

Gerajan radicals on violent rampage against churches

In response to an attempt in Parliament to privilege Hosianism as the official state religion in Malivia, Gerajan hardliners - many of them associated with the Rajutti National Party (RNP) - have launched a wave of violent attacks against churches.

RNP leader Amish Padagavakar blamed "Hosian bigotry and arrogance" for the attacks, complaining that "for years Rajuttis have been taken for granted and discriminated against, treated like second-class citizens in their own country" and claiming "the Hosian establishment have got to take responsibility for leading this country to this point - this is what happens when injustice persists and nothing is done about it".

Facing criticism about the involvement of some of his own party members and supporters in the violence, Padagavakar conceded that there had been "instances of indiscipline amongst a very, very small minority of our people" but insisted "these are fundamentally patriotic and morally upright citizens who just got a bit carried away" and suggested "far worse goes on in Hitam City every Saturday night, when the Esinsindus and the Luthoris drunkenly pour out of the pubs and clubs, causing mayhem everywhere". He went on to suggest it is "racist and anti-Gerajan" to "always draw attention to misbehaviour by Gerajans and Rajuttis, whilst ignoring what the Esinsindus and Luthoris get up to".

Gerajan thugs demolish Seredeki church
Padagavakar arrested

In one of the worst instances of civil unrest in recent years, last night thousands of radicalised Gerajans gathered outside the Matthias the Baptist Church in Sedeki City, demanding it should be torn down in order to make way for a Gerajan temple dedicated to the Gerajan deity, Lord Putera. Amidst increasingly chaotic and violent scenes, the police lost control, and the crowd surged through the barricades and entered the church itself, which they proceeded to vandalise, desecrate, demolish and then burn down.

Following this incident, there were clashes between Hosians and Gerajans all over the country, with countless injuries and scores of deaths.

Amish Padagavakar and 6 other Rajutti National Party (RNP) MPs have been arrested by police on charges of inciting the protesters to violence.

There is currently a stand-off at a police station in eastern Seredeki, where Padagavakar and his 6 fellow MPs are held. Both pro-RNP and anti-RNP demonstrators are gathered outside the station, and are refusing police requests to go home.

Padagavakar demands "return of the Malivy Islands"

Image
Maliva (in green) and Selucia aka "the Malivy Islands" (in yellow)

Rajutti National Party leader Amish Padagavakar has delivered a controversial speech to party supporter in Hitam, in which he demanded the government open talks with Selucia in order to discuss "the return of the Malivy Islands". His audience cheered him rapturously, but the journalists present were confused about what he was talking about, so asked him questions about his speech afterwards.

Padagavakar told the bamboozled journalists that according to the ancient Gerajan scriptures, "the Malivy Islands", comprising the entirety of modern-day Selucia, was once an integral part of the nation of Malivia, and that "as patriotic Malivians and devout Gerajans, we have a duty to restore our heritage and retake the Malivy Islands by one means or another". He went on to argue that Selucia's Religio Seluciana (OOC: Roman polytheism) is "a corruption of the Gerajan religion which was originally practised in those islands".

Padagavakar's claims are not new; they have been put forward by various Gerajan intellectuals in the past, although the majority of Gerajan scholars reject the hypothesis, and treat the parts of the Gerajan scriptures which deal with this subject as legend-with-a-spiritual-meaning rather than factual history.

Chit Chat with Alex Clarke

Postby Leo Basu » Sat Feb 16, 2019 9:52 pm

welcome to another episode of Chit chat with me your host Alex clarke

today we have with us the future of Beluzia he is
successor of Andrea Deleware and the current leader of Malivian National Rally
Max Killarney

welcome to show

Thanks for having me on the show

First of all congrats to you for becoming leader of MLR now that you are President of party you can explain us what does your party stands for

We are a Nationalist Libertarian organization that aims to be a flexible government, right now we are the centrist party in a three-way coalition between the Hsian Nationalists, and the Freedom Party.

lets get a little serious
what are your feelings on Bhulkhandra issue

I am non-aligned on this issue

tricky answer
so what do you thunk is the biggest issue in Malivia

Right now I think it is the big split between the Socialists and Conservatives. Voters either vote far- left or right.

But a good politician must be able to convince the voters
Image

Voters are split between the numerous amounts of parties we have right now. I feel that some are party sitters.

Do you think cultural politics can also effect on voters ?

Yes, but I think religion should stay out of politics.

Election are coming
what will your government do if you won the elections for Malivia

We would try to include all parties in a coalition a uphold minority rights.

My last question what would you like to say to the people of Malivia right now

I want to tell you that the Malivian National Rally has everyone’s best interest in mind. We are your best shot at a better Malivia. We don’t care who you voted for last time, what counts is the future.

Thanks for the interview we wish you best for future
Thanks and Alex All the best for the show .
so this was
Max Killarney the young and upcoming leader of MNR next time we will meet with another great personalty until then good bye

November 4531

RNP MPs sentenced to one month imprisonment

Seven Rajutti National Party (RNP) members of parliament, including RNP leader Amish Padagavakar, have been sentenced to a month's imprisonment each for their role in the demolition of the Matthias the Great Church in Seredeki City. The judge warned the parliamentarians that "this must never happen again" and "if any of you come up before me again, you will receive a much stiffer punishment".

The MPs denied the charges, and Padagavakar, speaking on behalf of the group, denounced the verdict as "politically-motivated". He also questioned the impartiality of the jury, saying "there was not a single Rajutti face amongst them" and that "they looked to me like people with a neo-colonialist attitude towards Rajuttis and Gerajans".

Pro-unification campaigners hold rally in Aurora

Image

Following the Malivian Parliament's assertion of sovereignty over the Malivy Islands (aka Selucia), around 200 campaigners, mainly Rajutti Selucians, have held a rally in Aurora, Selucia's capital, in order to demand unification with Malivia.

"The Malivy Islands is part of Malivia, and we need to get that message out loud and clear," said Prem Haradas, the organiser of the rally. "We are encouraging Malivy Islanders to embrace the Malivian part of their heritage, and recognise the massive advantages of rejoining Malivia".

Rajutti nationalists and Gerajan hardliners associated with Malivia's Rajutti National Party (RNP) are suspected of playing a role in encouraging, funding and coordinating a series of small-scale pro-unification political events which have taken place in Selucia in recent months.

RNP leader Amish Padagavakar has repeated his call for the Selucian government to "engage in the political process in order to end the artificial partition of our country and bring about re-unification through peaceful means".
