In practice, the Treaty codified the already existing defense agreement, which established the permanent presence of the National Defense Forces of Valruzia on the island and paved the way for further defense investments on the island.

In recent years, trade between the two countries has intensified by several hundred percent, especially in banking services, natural resources, and manufacturing. Valruzian Automotive Group, which has been present on the island for several centuries, has announced the modernization of its plants through significant financial investments to bring production lines and thus the capacity to the standard established by the factory on the border of Valruzia and Tukarali in Dabik. Thanks to its strategic location, vehicles manufactured and assembled in Keymon will be able to reach the continents of Keris, Makon, and Artania. LOT has also announced a new operational program for Keymon Airlines, created through the merger of Keymoon Airlines and Keymon Airways. It is Keymon Airlines that has dominated the market for international flights on the island in recent years, and its aircraft take off from the airport in Turtle Bay on average 110 times a day in every direction of the world, it is no surprise that the most frequent connection is in Turtle Bay - Nowogard. NOWOGARD, Valruzia (September 4809) - The President of the Republic of Valruzia announced the creation of the Global Conservative Forum, which will bring together conservative parties from all over the world and organize cyclical forums on a global scale where representatives of various parties and conservative and liberal thinkers will present their visions for the development of conservative and liberal ideas and will also decompose in a panel format about the development of current global and national policies.

NOWOGARD, Valruzia (May 4810) - At a cost of nearly 2 billion, Valruzia is building the largest facility for the storage and reprocessing of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel. The facility, whose working name is Krypta Equinox, is being built in the north-western part of Glucholazy County in the Voivodship of Campania, on the Czechot lake. It will consist of a network of tunnels and crypts with a total length of over 60 kilometers and will be located at a depth of 150 to 450 meters below the surface. Currently, Valatom has commissioned geological works.

The facility will eventually be used to store radioactive waste and spent fuel from all 16 operating nuclear power plants, but also to receive waste from other countries. One of the first confirmed customers of the planned facility is the Government of Keymon, which will use the waste from the only nuclear power plant on the island, which is currently in the phase-out phase, for storage in the Equinox Crypt.

The decision taken by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development is aimed at satisfying the need for this type of facility. So far, radioactive waste has been stored in temporary storage facilities, swimming pools designed to store spent nuclear fuel at the operating power plants, as well as exported to other countries. The annual cost of storage and transport of all radioactive waste is nearly VPO 340 million per year. In the long term, the new facility is expected to allow for safe storage of waste for at least several hundred years, according to WALATOM's estimates.

The selected area is characterized by practically zero seismic activity, which significantly affects the safety of such facilities. It is estimated that Valruzia currently stores nearly 130 thousand cubic meters of radioactive waste. The estimated storage capacity of the new facility is 600 thousand cubic meters, which will make it the largest facility of this type in the world. Additionally, the previously operating and currently modernized Radioactive Materials Reprocessing Plant in Głuchołazy, through its neighborhood with the constructed storage facility, will allow to eliminate transport costs and significantly reduce the risk of radioactive contamination.

Public opinion as well as politicians of the ruling party are divided. The supporters cite economic issues and a pragmatic approach to the issue of radioactive waste. The facility will allow for the safe storage of waste produced now and in the future in a place specially designed for this purpose. They also point to new jobs, which are expected to increase by nearly 15 thousand during the whole project, most of them at the construction stage. They also emphasize the fact that the problem of radioactive waste is serious and has been waiting for a pragmatic solution for several dozen decades, and although the new facility does not fully solve it, in their opinion it is the largest step in the history of the country to manage radioactive waste and the largest investment of this type in the world.

The opponents question the choice of location for the new facility and point out that the area is under special environmental protection. A few days ago there was the biggest protest against the construction of the facility so far. Almost 600 people protested in Szary Kamien. During the protests, the police intervened and arrested 3 protesters. However, the government and the President are very much in favor of the project and everything indicates that the facility will be developed. It is estimated that the first waste is to be fed into the network of underground tunnels in 4 years.

NOWOGARD, Valruzia (October 4810) - Maritime transport is experiencing a kind of renaissance. Valruzian shipowners and investors have placed orders for more than 300 new commercial vessels with a total value of about 12 billion VPO in the last two years. Although more than half of the orders were received by shipyards in the country, foreign shipyards have no reason to complain. Contracts have also been signed with private shipyards in countries such as Dorvik and Trigunia. The goal of Valruzian companies is to increase transport capacity in order to meet the demand for sea transport resulting from the constant development of foreign trade.

The industries that are related to commercial shipping are currently making a good profit. The annual balance sheet of the Ministry of Trade and Industry is optimistic enough. Minister Filip Nowacki, informed at a press conference where Valruzian shipping records the best turnover. First of all in transport between Seleya and Artania, and between Seleya and Dovani. This is understandable given the dynamic development of foreign trade and especially the export of products from Seleya. Valruzia has become an important factor in the high dynamics of world trade development, with transport having the highest growth rates in the last few years, notes Minister Nowacki.

The high demand for transport services is driving up prices. In the summer of last year, the turnover of sea transport reached a record level. Since then it has decreased by 20 percent, but it is still very high. Shipowners are full of optimism. It will be very difficult to achieve such high growth rates next year as this; this applies especially to chartered and container transport, admits Minister Nowacki. But world trade continues to develop dynamically, so there is no reason to worry about the future of Valruzian shipping.

How much exactly do shipowners earn from the boom in world maritime transport, they do not say that out loud. But the fact that they are doing very well is due, for example, to the number of new commercial vessels ordered. Currently, 544 new ships are being built on behalf of Valruzian shipowners, including almost 410 container ships. Such a high level of orders has not been recorded in the history of Valruzian shipping. Valruzian shipowners today have one of the largest commercial fleets on Terra.

There are plans to encourage shipowners to rejoin ships registered in other countries because of the cost of their service and maintenance. Minister Nowacki notes that last year, nearly 100 merchant vessels that were previously registered in other countries were re-registered in Valruzia. The government plans to reform the regrowth and taxation of merchant fleets.

NOWOGARD, Valruzia (November 4810) - According to the latest communication from the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Valruzzo, an application has been submitted to the Supreme Court for permission to transfer a citizen of the Federal Republic of Likatonia, 24-year-old Lucas Beckers, who was sentenced to 18.5 years' imprisonment in 4804 in connection with his planning of a terrorist attack on the grey stone.

The Chancellery of the President addressed the Government in Clovisport with a proposal to transfer the prisoner to serve the rest of his sentence or part of it. According to commentators of the political affairs, this is a sign from Nowogard of its willingness to normalize relations between the two countries, which have remained very tense since the middle of the last century.

The Chancellery of President Vaughn-Rosta has also confirmed the start of negotiations with President Till's Chancellery concerning the transfer of the prisoner and the continuation of his sentence. The first was the President's application of the right of clemency to Beckers, followed by a lifetime ban on entry into the Republic of Valruzia, but ultimately Beckers is to serve part of the remainder of his sentence in the FRL on condition that he is not released earlier than after serving half of his remaining sentence, i.e. 72 months.

The Supreme Court is due to take a decision later this week and change the verdict of the court of the first instance, thus allowing the prisoner to be transferred to the FRL authorities.

NOWOGARD, Valruzia (December 4810) - Nearly 100 private and public contractors have been commissioned to build installations and infrastructure for the planned Defense Navy base on the island of Keymon. Last month, the governments of both countries reached an agreement on the basis of which the target location of the planned project was chosen.

The Defense Navy base will be located on the west coast of the island near the city of Turtle Bay in the bay of the same name and will eventually occupy a land area of about one square kilometer, with an additional water area of 0.5 square kilometers. The base will be adapted to accommodate the largest ships currently operated by the Defense Navy - the Seleya-class helicopter carriers.

A decision was made that the existing infrastructure will be partially used to accommodate the base, but approximately 40% of the existing buildings, which previously was part of Turtle Bay's privately owned south port, will have to be demolished and replaced with modern infrastructure. Valruzian Ministry of National Defense will pay the initial fee of VPO 15 million to the Government of Keymon and then approximately VPO 1 million a year as compensation fee for using the area.

13 construction companies have been selected to build infrastructure for the command building and residential buildings for the soldiers of the Defense Navy stationed in the future. One of the more costly investments is to deepen the bottom of the bay in an area of nearly 0.2 square kilometers to allow for safe entry and exit of ships from the planned base.

The subordinate companies of the Valruzian Armament Group have been selected to develop and construct an anti-aircraft defense installation to be used in the area of the base, and all indications are that this will be the POPRAD mobile platform in the final testing phase. Other details have not been disclosed so far as they are covered by trade and state secrets of both the Republic of Valruzia and the Republic of Keymon.

The target is to station nearly 1,200 soldiers of the Defense Navy with a full-size Carrier Strike Group with one of the Seleya-class vessels as its primary unit in Keymon. It will be the first base of the Defense Navy and one of the largest installations of its kind used by the Navy of Valruzia.

VALRUZIAN SOCIALIST LEAGUE GETS FOUNDED AT ITS FIRST CONGRESS

Nowograd, 5th March of 4811: The Valruzian Socialist League got founded at its first congress held at the capital city. Various socialist intellectuals and other ideologists gathered together at the Congress, amounting to about 200 people. They were headed by President, Comrade Kuba Lenski.

The Socialist League adopted a programme dubbed as 'Towards a Workers' Valruzia'. The Socialist League's demands are to nationalize large businesses, banks and mutually cooperative small businesses and trades.

Regarding the National Question, The League opposed immigration and took a nationalist stance for organizing the Valruzian nation based on shared common culture.

NOWOGARD, Valruzia (March 4811) - Albert Vaughn-Rosta, who has held the office of President of the Republic of Valruzia since June 4806, announced his intention to run for the highest office in the Republic again. He currently holds his first term of office, and the constitutional changes of 4805 do not limit the number of presidential terms. Vaughn-Rosta was elected in June 4806 with nearly 70 percent of the votes cast. Surveys of support, according to which nearly 85 percent of respondents support the President's actions, indicate that if Vaughn-Rosta were to run again, he is likely to repeat his 4806 election result. The National Coalition Party's National Committee confirmed the election of Albert Vaughn-Rosta as a party candidate in the upcoming presidential elections in June 4812.

NOWOGARD, Valruzia (May 4811) - The Supreme Court passed a favorable verdict on the transfer of Lucas Beckers to the authorities of the Federal Republic of Likatonia, who is serving 18.5 years of imprisonment in Valruzia for planning a terrorist attack on the Grey Stone.

Under an inter-governmental agreement between Nowogard and Clovisport, Lucas Beckers will serve the rest of his sentence in his country of origin. Since 4804 he has been serving his sentence in the Penitentiary in Pastarnia. This Wednesday he is to be transported by a plane belonging to the Valruzian Prison Service to Clovisport, where he will be handed over to the FRL authorities.

According to commentators, Nowogard's decision to hand over Lucas Beckers may be a signal of readiness to normalize the situation on the border between Valruzia and Likatonia. There have been attempts to normalize the situation many times in the past, but the internal instability in Likatonia has always hindered the diplomatic efforts of Nowogard. However, the government of Valruzia is constantly trying to find spheres that would allow cooperation between the two countries, and the transfer of Lucas Beckers is to be one of those spheres.

NOWOGARD, Valruzia (June 4811) - For more than 20 years PNC had no real opposition. While it certainly has Valruzian trust,
more and more people feel dissapointed by lack of political options. That's why civil, social-democratic, liberal and federalist
associations decided to establish Democratic Party. To give people choice.

Party chairman, Henryk Nejman, has personally attended the founding event. In official statement he confirmed, that he will be
running in next presidential election. Political observers have noticed, that he could be only candidate to threaten Albert Vaughn-Rosta.

Soon party will release it's detailed agenda. Their most important points will be decentrlization, return to presidential terms and
creating the role of Prime Minister.
