Opposition slams the NDP for lack of social support for struggling Valruzians
The NDP has recently passed legislation making it harder for those struggling to achieve welfare, and while this has seen support from the NDP Voter Base, others have harshly criticized the government immensely for the cuts. Amongst these critics have been the 2 stars of Valruzian Extremism. The OPR and the LZK. Both parties have been gaining support from a frustrated angry populace.

Łukasz Konicki, aligned with the OPR has slammed the government heavily for "leaving Valruzians to starve in the cold" whilst Kacper Sławik has called for the NDP to restore welfare in the nation. Konicki has already held several speeches and rallies regarding the welfare cuts, being extremely hostile to the NDP but with having little power, all he can do is preach his opinion.

When I go around Nowograd, you want to know what I see? I see starving families, I see Valruzian sons and daughters, in the streets, cold, alone, and starving. How the NDP thinks this is tolerable is beyond me, they actively have chosen to cast aside the workers of Valruzia and for what? They put us in economic woes, hurt the economy, sold us out to cosmopolitanism, and then have the audacity to continue their efforts to strangle life out of Valruzia! It's no wonder people are turning to extreme measures! The NDP has abandoned anyone and everyone. The OPR hasn't, and will not. We will restore welfare, we will restore your jobs, we will restore Valruzia and end this madness! So tell me this, why do we keep tolerating the NDP in power? Because they offer something? They offer starvation, poverty and hopelessness.

With many clamouring to the OPRs message of restoring welfare, putting Valruzians back into employment and cutting the rapid privatizations, the support for the OPR has been rising steadily. Whilst this has raised concerns from minorities given the chauvinist views of the OPR, many have begun believing in the promises of the OPR.

Meanwhile Kacper Sławik and his LZK have been trying to win popular support as well, bashing the NDP for it's "Bourgeoisie" policies and disenfranchisement of the masses. Preaching a rather hardline rhetoric on Communism, the party is vehemently opposed to Utopianism, any forms of capitalism and calls for a "Socialist International" to be founded, earning it the distaste of more nationalist voters compared to the OPR. But support for the LZK has been rising, and it has earned the worry of the NDP due to its hardline communist stance.

Am I calling for a complete dissolution of society and a civil war? No. What I'm calling for is restoring power to the workers and crushing fascism, of all forms, in Valruzia. The bourgeois, the reactionaries, the social fascists. All of them, are what i oppose. This includes the rising OPR. Fascists and revisionists wearing red. The Proletariat shouldn't be deceived by them, these fascists need to be brought down. The LZK can bring real change for the Proletariat, and end this cruel capitalist oppression.

As support for the LZK and OPR rises, the NDP will soon have more worries to deal with and time can only tell who will come out on top in Valruzia.

The War Against Organized Labour?

The NDP has recently passed legislation combating the right to strike, lowering minimum wage and attacking secondary strike action. This has seen immense backlash from the LZK, and the OPR, alongside various labour organizations. However, the NDP has shown no interest in negotiating or compromising on the bills.

Polańska has addressed the nation regarding the bills, with what has been dubbed, the "Anti-Labour Bill".

These "Unionists", they dunno what they're talking about. They are lazy and want to take money away from hard working Valruzians. Why should they continue doing what they do? Opposition doesn't even know what they're doing! What, the biggest threat and supporters of these unionists are hardline Communists who want to destroy Valruzian society and democracy? And the other one? I won't even speak of them, they deserve no platform to be legitimized. These folks just need to stay quiet and let the NDP continue fixing the country. These bills, this so called "Anti-Labour Bill" is in reality, just making things better for everyone. Why should an honest Valruzian go on strike? Or live off of a minimum wage? If they want to better their lot, they need to work for it. No more government handouts, no more abusing welfare. They need to pull themselves up by the bootstraps. Besides, there're plenty of well paying jobs available now, so i see no reason to complain. Nobody should trust the extremists.

This has seen harsh criticism from the LZK and OPR as both parties have been clamouring for public support and these attacks on organized labour have given the excuse for their growth. The LZK has taken the mass offensive against the NDP, due to their support of labour, and being directly attacked by Polańska in the speech.

Kacper Sławik has made efforts to gain public sympathy however being painted as a "communist who wishes to destroy Valruzian society", especially after the PPUs fleeing has made this quite difficult. Opposition to the LZK has also increased as whilst they offer considerable solutions, they in the end, are opposed to democracy.
The OPR, on the other hand, has been seeing a considerable rise in support, downplaying its connections to any form of communism, and focusing on Nationalism and Economic Pragmatism. Konicki has already slammed the government for the War Against Labour.

The NDP has taken such drastic efforts to continue destroying Valruzia with their free-market solutions. The government has relentlessly attacked workers and for what reason? To keep and make the poor even more poorer. And, the statement regarding open jobs being available? That's rich coming from someone who hasn't had to work a day in her life. What jobs are available? What?! Unemployment is on the rise, workers are starving, they have no hope and then calls for a meritocracy? Ridiculous! I don't see, honestly I don't see the logic the NDP has, it's ridiculous. They attack the LZK but refuse to even bring us up? We are making ground, we aren't a fringe group. Yes, we are extremists, i won't deny that but these are extreme times. We aren't calling for dissolving democracy, we are electoral, we endorse democracy. Attacking labour is adding onto the long list of the mistakes the NDP has made.

As the nation continues into turbulent times and the NDP making the situation worse by the day, many are anticipating whether the NDP can hold power in the next election or lose to the LZK or even the OPR.

NDP "Nationalist Caucus" defect

After the NDPs latest response and legislation to the War on Labour, several politicians, mostly prominent nationalists within the NDP have announced their resignation from the party and have announced their intents to join a different party; The Ordosocialist Worker's Party.

One of the most prominent members of the Nationalist Caucus of the NDP, Ludwik Borkowski, has cited a "lack of faith in the NDPs ability to effectively govern.". Borkowski has already endorsed the OPR publicly, and denounced the Polańska Administration.

When I joined the NDP, I joined to defend Valruzian Sovereignty. I joined to promote Valruzian culture and help Valruzia stay strong. Instead, what I have seen is a heartless cruel administration turn it's back on struggling Valruzians, weaken Valruzia and allow itself to struggle, struggle to breath. When Sak formed this party, he had a vision of a free, strong Valruzia where the people were helped. I stood with him to his death in this dream and remained committed to the NDP. Today, that has changed. Instead of the NDP promoting this dream, instead I find it being propagated by Łukasz Konicki and his Ordosocialists. He, and the rest of the OPR dream of a strong Valruzia, a Valruzia that helps it's own people, and assists them in dire times. A Valruzia that is strong, independent and sovereign. That is why I have renounced my membership from the National Democratic Party and I intend to join the Ordosocialist Worker's Party. I urge any voters who share this dream to vote OPR whenever possible.

With the loss of Borkowski and other Nationalists, the NDP has been hurt, whilst the OPR continues rising in support, seeing further growth. While Polańska herself has made no comment, various NDP politicians have said that the party has no need for traitors and snakes. With the endorsement of the Nationalist Caucus and Nationalist Voters coming to the OPR, the party has become capable of forming a decent opposition and now must eagerly await elections to enter Parliament. The Spectre of Ordosocialism is haunting Valruzia and rapidly becoming clearer day by day. Meanwhile Konicki has welcomed the Nationalist Caucus to the OPR, citing that all must be together for a better Valruzia. However one can only wonder how much political clout the NDP can lose as this is yet but another defeat for the establishment. This has also seen the OPR further legitimized, and the OPR has become the most viable opposition in Valruzia.

Election Season in Valruzia

As elections are months away, the NDP and OPR have set forward their electoral platform. With the coming 5359 elections being the most turbulent in recent history for Valruzia, the nation stands at a complete crossroads between the NDP and the OPR.

The campaign trail has seen the NDP push Polańska for president once again, vowing to continue NDP reforms, that being privatizations, social conservatism and surprisingly moving away from anti-globalism. This surprising shift has turned off any remaining nationalist voters loyal to the NDP and whilst it can be viewed as a last ditch effort to scrape support for the party, if the NDP can prevail, Valruzia can potentially become normalized amongst the international community once again. The continued privatizations and social conservatism has come as little shock as the NDP remains defined by those respective beliefs. Polańska has also pledged, should she be elected, to establish a "Republic of Valruzia" and move from the Utopian "Federated Commonwealth nonsense".

On the flip coin, the opposite to the NDP, the far-right OPR has pledged to restore social welfare to Utopian levels, ensure Valruzian Sovereignty and promote Valruzian Nationalism, end the privatizations and reverse several privatizations. While the party has received significant support from the disgruntled and nationalist voters, minority voters have firmly turned their back against the OPR as the party has remained silent on claims of chauvinism and welfare chauvinism. While they can't influence the election in a major way, they are a notable loss to the OPR. Konicki has already made it clear that whatever the results, he's willing to compromise with the NDP to ensure Valruzians are put back into the workforce and end the economic woes.

A third contender running, which many have doubts will influence any national policy is the LZK. Remaining rather small due to their hostility to any moderation and failing to please nationalist voters, the LZK is expected to do little in winning election. But their platform has been preached. Calling for ending privatizations, ending the "deep-rooted" corruption of the state and economy and transitioning to socialism, the LZK has made it clear that it will remain committed to Communism.

Whoever prevails in Valruzia, what's certain is that the aftermath of the elections will make any agenda to pass difficult.

Elections conclude in Valruzia

As the July Elections have concluded, moderates have come to a horrifying reality. The far-right Ordosocialist Worker's Party has won nearly 47% of the vote and while they lost Presidency, they serve as considerable opposition to the NDP, with 164 seats in Parliament. The NDP has managed to maintain a slim majority but passing any major agenda will be near impossible as the LZK, with 3% of the vote has managed to secure 10 seats in Parliament, effectively killing any agenda from either side.

Meanwhile the NDP has been trying to celebrate it's victory but with the OPR having almost half of Parliament, there is little celebration to be had. Polańska has made no major comments on the OPR but has hinted towards the idea of cooperation with the OPR to pass any agenda. While this has raised controversy in the party and amongst NDP voters, many believe that the OPR will refuse to cooperate or Polańska will change her mind on cooperation. Whatever the case, her second administration will have to make alot of compromises with the OPR.

Konicki has already pledged to vehemently oppose any bill that will continue to hurt Valruzians and has been celebrating it's electoral triumph. Despite losing presidency, winning 47% of Parliament has been a massive milestone for the OPR, let alone any Ordosocialist party in Terra.

Regardless of what's to come, Valruzia is set to experience a rocky 7 years under the second Polańska Administration, with a strong Ordosocialist opposition.

NDP announces "Honorowa Współpraca"

In a bid to please the OPR and receive support, Polańska has announced the policy of Honorowa Współpraca, or Honourable Cooperation. Already efforts to cooperate with the OPR are underway, with various concessions having to be made for OPR support. One of those being an OPR Prime Minister.

This has, of course, outraged many within the NDP but pragmatists have argued it as a necessary sacrifice to get the NDP platform through and even moderate the OPR. Regardless it has seen many leave the party outright due to the concessions. Polańska has been noted for the following statement.

I understand some of my party is worried, really upset about the idea but they just don't see the big picture, these Ordosocialists, they are willing to cooperate with us and like any political party, they want concessions. If it means an Ordosocialist PM, sure, but it also means preventing an Electoral Deadlock. Besides, we don't need those who leave the party, they've made up their mind already.

This has seen controversy control the NDP as many in the party have made it clear about their displeasure at the idea of cooperation with the OPR. But Polańska has made it clear that her decision is final and so, the NDP will make concessions to push it's agenda.

Konicki has already become the Ordosocialist candidate for Prime Minister since the defeat at the Presidential Polls and has welcomed cooperation with the NDP. Receiving various political concessions, the OPR has been put in a powerful position. Whether or not the NDP can pass it's agenda now, what's certain is making concessions to the OPR will have irreversible consequences that will damage the NDPs reputation.

Military marches on Nowograd

The populace of Valruzia woke up today to the sight of military vehicles in Nowograd. As of today, Parliament has been dissolved under the order of Ludomił Tara under the justification of "curbing Ordosocialism within the government" and "dissolving un-valruzian elements in parliament". Angelika Polańska has been placed under arrest for "treason against Valruzia", "conspiracy to demine the state" and other crimes. This has seen the NDP dissolved as the military has arrested the entire national cabinet, NDP and OPR alike. With legislation and other branches of the government being dissolved or put under military control, the military is set to remain in power for the foreseeable future.

The fate of the Prime Minister, is the same as Polańska as Konicki has been arrested by the military government and is expected to receive a trial very shortly. With the OPR also being forced to dissolve and becoming targeted by the military, this has seen OPR supporters, which remain a large majority take to the streets in protests, calling for restoration of democracy and ending military rule. Former National Democrats have also joined in, having been radicalized from the coup with even elements of the LZK joining, with elements flocking to the protests or splintering into infighting.

As the military looks to strengthen it's grip and declare martial law in the coming days, Valruzia enters a new era of instability as it's democracy may be shattered for good.

Martial Law Declared in Valruzia; Officers challenge Ludomił Tara and launch counter coup

With the military coup having
only been recently conducted, Tara, de facto dictator of the nation has looked to declare martial law and curb the protests that are sweeping the nation. However various officers in the higher echelons of the military have challenged the military government, and have launched their own march on Nowograd, with the single goal to depose Tara and restore the civilian government. With support from protestors, the March on Nowograd was successful as the capital building was stormed by loyalist forces, both counter coup military, NDP protesters and Ordosocialists, with Tara being killed by a mob outside the capital, trying to escape Nowograd. What remains of the previous military government has seen itself surrender, as to prevent a civil war as various divisions and squads have gone rogue and proclaimed support for the loyalists, leaving the military with very little support.

The fate of Polańska and Konicki has been made public as Konicki is released from prison and Polańska, was found dead. The OPR has reestablished itself whilst no replacement for the NDP has formulated, and so, the new government has looked to give the OPR power, essentially giving them presidency and a full government. While this has seen opposition from what few moderates exist, many have accepted OPR rule as they preach fixing the country from the NDPs mistakes.

Konicki is set to be sworn in as President of the nation, with a fully loyal Parliament, and the ability to reform the country as much as he desires. Valruzia may have traded one extreme for another, but if it means stability for the nation, then perhaps it can do good.

A New Valruzia?

President Konicki has announced the formal dissolution of the Federated Commonwealth of Valruzia, alongside the status of Prime Minister and has, in its place been replaced by the Valruzian National Worker's Republic. Citing that the nation must bravely move away from Utopianism, the flag, national motto and anthem has been changed, to reflect "new national standards" and "stepping away from Utopian Cosmopolitanism".

Konicki has already promised a comprehensive platform to "wage war" against poverty and put Valruzians back into the workforce, undoing the damage done by the NDP. This ranges from nationalizations to social welfare. While this has received support from many struggling Valruzians, minority groups remain on edge as the government has remained eerily silent on the status of minorities in this new Valruzia. Various international observers have been left speculated as the world's first Ordosocialist nation has yet to properly set out a foreign agenda but many can only hope for the best, with speculation ranging from pure isolation to the spreading of Ordosocialism across Seleya.

In either case, Valruzia is certainly entering a new phase, as the nation looks to restructure itself first and foremost and assist Valruzians.
