The now aging diplomat leaves behind a long history behind him, but he states that he's been waiting for this for years.
NOWOGARD - Today Igor Pilarczyk exited his office for the last time, as he announced his retirement as Foreign Minister. "This has been something I've been debating for a long time. I've helped steer our country into the right places and reflected our values of preserving democracy abroad." A replacement for Pilarczyk was already chosen within hours of his retirement. Gustaw Palinski, a top level official in a Voivodeship chapter of the Social Democratic Workers Party. When spoken to in a press conference by Valruzia Daily, he was largely committed to the continuation of Pilarczyk's policies. "He was an excellent negotiator when he was in office and he'll probably never lose that charm, even during his retirement. I supported his policies and I believe that they should be continued. Valruzia should remain in the Northern Council and assist in the protection and establishment of democracies the world over." Prior to Pilarczyk's departure, Valruzia had condemned ODEN as a "criminal empire" and engaged in frequent talks of a rival organization with Lourenne. Palinski was quick to speak about this as well.
Largely expected to win the nomination as Pilarczyk's successor, Palinski ran the Gryfit Voivodeship chapter of the Social Democratic Workers Party.
"Valruzia has allowed recreational and both medicinal marijuana to be legal for decades. It has little to no ill-effects and is a thriving microcosm of our economy. We fully support the formation of an alliance based upon the legalization of marijuana and the exporting and importing of it. However we must address that ODEN, while being an exporter of marijuana, is also an exporter of extremely harmful and dangerous substances, such as LSD and heroin, which have been proven to be mind-altering and harmful to the human body. Let it be known that once I am confirmed as Pilarczyk's replacement, I fully agree to engaging in bilateral talks with Lourenne about the formation of a marijuana organization, along with placing retaliatory sanctions on not only Kalistan, the ringleader of what can be only described as the biggest cartel Terra has ever seen, but also applying sanctions to every single nation that is a member state. We will show them that they are harming peoples lives. It should be a shame that only our nation and Lourenne have taken action against their disgusting organization."
