NOWOGARD - Valruzian Air Defense Forces have received the final Asvald Gruppen AV-13 combat aircraft of the ordered 35. Ministry of National Defense confirmed on Friday that the deliveries were 6 months before schedule and that a new order for at least 40 new fighter jets is being worked upon within the ministry. The final tranche of the aircraft was delivered on Thursday and transported to Valruzia by sea, the Air Defense Forces have received into service 35 AV-13 since the first aircraft was handed over in June 4747. Valruzia is one of the first users of AV-13 in Seleya and according to MOND, regardless of what government's of other countries might say, the presence of such advanced aircraft significantly increases the level of the overall security of not only Valruzia by the entire Seleyan Union as it will allow for better reaction to potential threats.



According to MOND, the aircraft will serve in the Valruzian air force for at least 20 years and the fleet of AV-13 is expected to be regularly replaced and expanded with newer planes. Minister of National Defense Filip Taranowicz announced that in the upcoming weeks a small scale testing of the new aircraft will be conducted and after that, the planes will be scheduled for patrolling the Valruzian airspace. When asked for the potential armament of the new planes, Taranowicz confirmed that MOND will supply the new aircraft with both Kazulian and Valruzian companies.



Ministry of National Defense also announced that it is postponing the passing out of WZL-made aircraft from Defense Air Force's fleet until further notice. In addition, MOND surprised the press with announcement of the potential purchase of Unionfighters for the Valruzian air force if the negotiations with the Dorvish-led ADG will result in an acceptable agreement that appears to be likely after the recent purchase of A400M heavy transport aircraft. This is the greatest expansion of the Valruzian air force in decades and apparently the stop is not near. When asked about the likely details of the purchase, Taranowicz said that at first the evaluation process must be made whether Unionfighters will be able to meet Defense Air Force requirements, and that the first purchase would include around 5 or 10 planes.

During the second day of the 1st EE summit in Eroncourt, Lourenne, Prime Minister of the Republic of Valruzia Anna Vinciguerra led a panel prepared to highlight the declining importance of the World Congress and potential scenarios for its reform. Later the same day Prime Minister Vinciguerra during a panel committed to presenting the future of the World Congress, elaborated on the possible scenarios for the 735-years-old World Congress. NOWOGARD - Valruzia is seeking to become a non-permanent member of the World Congress' Security Council. Valruzian Minister for Foreign Affairs (MFA) Jan Vaughn-Rosta announced the country's candidacy in Nowogard during a press conference called in the Nowogard-Ignanski Congressional Center. This is an absolute overhaul of Nowogard's stance on the Security Council which for years questioned the jurisdiction of the World Congress' Security Council and refused to take part in SC elections as both, a candidate and a voting country. Now, Nowogard wants to change this policy and announced that Nowogard will seek to become a member of the Security Council.



Vaughn-Rosta highlights the fact that, apart from Keris, Seleya is the only continent without representation in the Security Council. More than 900 million people are not represented in an institution that is often seen as the supreme consultative and sometimes the executive body of the World Congress. MFA confirmed that Valruzia's candidature should be seen as a demonstration of political and diplomatic will to make an active contribution to peace and security in the face of all challenges the Security Council has to address. Valruzia throughout the last centuries grew managed to become the strongest economy in Seleya and become an important partner in international trade as well as the international political scene. It is often described as an economic powerhouse of Seleya and thanks to major investments, both domestic and international managed to outgrew any other country in Seleya in terms of nominal GDP as well as GDP growth rate. Valruzia never served as a member of the Security Council, former governments several times launched campaign and bids for a seat in SC for Nowogard but with no luck and often those campaigns were dropped after lack of initial interest.



Speaking at Ignanski Congressional Center during a conference on international affairs, MFS Vaughn-Rosta emphasized the significance of the World Congress' Security Council but also highlighted the fact that many countries support Valruzian initiatives and ideas of reforming the World Congress by establishing specialized organizations and agencies which would greatly improve the overall performance of the WC as currently most actions to combat threat for international security is taken ad hoc by either the General Assembly or the Security Council. Prime Minister Vinciguerra announced that her intention during the First Summit of the Eight Economies, which will take place next year in Eroncourt, is to exactly point out the weaknesses of the World Congress in the current shape and to highlight the need for reformation. According to Vaughn-Rosta, Nowogard's presence in the Security Council would not only mean better representation for the Seleyan continent but greater possibilities for improving the overall performance of the World Congress.



Minister for Foreign Affairs Jan Vaughn-Rosta said that international security is especially important for Valruzia, as according to MFA Valruzia is a country that maintains close and extensive economic, political and social ties with the global community, Valruzia is particularly reliant on a functioning, peaceful and rules-based international order.

NOWOGARD - Nuclear scientists from WALATOM are preparing an ambitious prototype facility that will test the commercial capabilities of next generations of INTERFUREA reactors developed in 4703. INTERFUREA is a type of experimental fusion reactor that has been in development for several decades and two experimental reactors have been in operation since 4721 with their performance limited and never connected to the national gird. WALATOM, unquestionably leader in the nuclear energy sector on the continent has now decided that INTERFUREA reactors are safe to operate on a commercial scale and announced a plan to construct a new nuclear power plant in the north of Kampania Voivodeship which will operate one INTERFUREA reactor in just 5 years. With the green light from the Government and especially the Department of Reactor Safety which was given on Friday, WALATOM announced that the works on the new power plant will commence on Monday. The two experimental reactors will be decommissioned and dismantled due to their age.



It will be one of the most expensive infrastructures and energy endeavors in the history of the Valruzian energy sector. The two experimental INTERFUREA reactors were built within the existing power plants - Piolun and Bakolew NPP - in Chynber and Ruzian Voivodeships. A cost of construction of a single INTERFUREA reactor is LOD 800 million, roughly 3 times more than the construction of a conventional IV-class fission reactor. We must mind the fact that the existing experimental reactors used the existing infrastructure of existing nuclear power plants. The planned power plant which will be constructed in Kampania Voivodeship will be a new project build from scratch and WALATOM estimated that the construction of the power plant will exceed LOD 2 billion.



When asked about the benefits of constructing one of the most expensive power plants on Terra, WALATOM's representative said that when commissioned and connected to the national power grid, the power plant will generate as much power as two of the largest nuclear power plants in Valruzia - Central NPP near Nowogard and Piolun NPP in the northeastern part of Ruzia. The new nuclear power plant will be constructed in the north of Kampania Voivodeship, 40 kilometers from the border with Chynberg, and 25 kilometers from the border with Likatonia.

NOWOGARD - Valruzian Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented the official logo of the government's campaign to promote Valruzia as a responsible candidate for the Security Council of the World Congress. During a short press conference, Minister Jan Vaughh-Rosta also presented the 4 main ideas of the government campaign:

NOWOGARD - Valruzian nuclear energy giant WALATOM and the Valruzian Construction Enterprize (WPB) announced the commencement of construction works on the new Chwałków Nuclear Power Plant in the north of Kampania Voivodeship which will use a single INTERFUREA nuclear fusion reactor, the first-ever in Valruzia to be connected to the national power grid. Construction works on an area of 12 square kilometers will last at least 6,5 years and not 5 as initially announced. The specially joint-venture of WALATOM and the Valruzian Automotive Group began works on the nuclear vessel which will be ready in three years. Ministry of Environment, Tourism, and Reactor Safety have confirmed that all works are performed with respect to the highest standard of protection of both the workers and the environment. WPB announced that the initial structures for the future vessel have already been prepared and laid in the 25 meters deep foundations of the upcoming power plant.

NOWOGARD - Valruzian Civilian Aviation Commission's Beatrice Kowalski has confirmed that due to safety concerns over the New Dawn's D-777 wide-body airliner, which already has an extremely bad reputation in Valruzia, the CAC has decided to ground the planes that are already in Valruzia and ban Southern Airways' D-777 fleet from operating in Valruzian airspace. Civilian Aviation Commission confirmed that at least 5 cases of D-777 landing gear collapsing while stationary or taxing have been reported by airports operators in Valruzia. No fatalities or serious injuries were reported in any of the cases, only minor injuries, and abrasions that did not require hospitalization. However, since all cases of collapsing landing gear concern one model of aircraft, the CAC decided to ban operations of such aircraft in Valruzia. The only operator of this type of aircraft in Valruzia is Likatonian Southern Airways.



This is not the first time the D-777 has made headlines in Valruzia. It became infamous when in 4747 Reglair reported fears that such quick design and certification of a large passenger aircraft, by a start-up company not previously involved in the construction of aircraft might have been a result of industrial espionage. Investigation of the law enforcement authorities proved that industrial espionage's concerns were not baseless, and three Reglair engineers received bribes from Jeremy Mahoney in exchange for the commercial secrets of design details of one of Reglair's best-selling planes - the i7.



No further details were provided by the CAC, only that, in the absence of action by Southern Airways, the flight ban would remain in force until further notice and that aircraft at Valruzia airports would be grounded there at the airline's expense.

Yingdala Addresses Valruzian Campaign for World Congress Security Council Seat

NOWOGARD - Reglair has been negotiating one of the largest orders ever of wide-body jetliners with Indralan flag carrier Yingdala Air. The negotiations led to signing a preliminary deal for the delivery of 250 narrow- and wide-body airliners to the Indralan airlines within 6 years. According to the initial agreement, Reglair is to supply 170 narrow-body i3 in a two-class configuration to modernize the fleet in the carrier's national network and 80 wide-body, ultra-long-haul i8 to meet the growing demand for long-distance intercontinental routes. Despite the initial negotiations centered on i3 and i7 models, Reglair highlighted that the order might be modified as the work on the i7X, the newest long-range aircraft in Reglair's lineup is nearing the end, and the company from Brzansk might want to offer its newest airliner to Yingdala Air which would be the launch customer of the newest airliner.



According to experts, Indrala is an emerging aviation superpower, on pace to become the world’s largest aviation market in several decades. Reglair announced that a thorough analysis of the Indralan market is currently being carried out to assess whether Reglair should lean on closer cooperation with Indrala in the form of a factory or an assembly plant to meet the demand for new aircraft for the emerging Indralan airline market. Reglair predicts that smaller orders from regional airlines could follow the initial order placed by the flag carrier. When confirmed, the deal will be one of the largest in Reglair's history. With an estimated market value of VPO 30 billion, the final amount of the contract may change for Yingdala Air's benefit as Reglair will surely offer an excellent discount for such a large order. If succeded, the deal will make Yingdala Air's one of the largest operators of i3 and i8 fleet in Terra.



According to the deal, Yingdala Air wants to replace older aircraft servicing domestic routes with Reglair's best-seller i3 in a two-class configuration capable to carry 180 passengers. The i3 family has been chosen due to its versatile character which allows it to operate in all types of airports with man-made surface runways, but Reglair emphasized that the aircraft is capable of landing on natural surfaces. The i3 family is also best in its class in terms of cabin maintenance time, as the cabin preparation for a flight takes only 15 minutes. For its international and intercontinental routes Indrala's flag carrier chose the i8 which is a state-of-the-art wide-body airline using the most advanced technology and its structure made in 70% of composite materials which makes is one of the most economical airlines in Terra. Capable of taking up to 300 passengers in a three-class configuration, according to Reglair is an excellent choice for Indrala's growing demand for international and intercontinental flights.

NOWOGARD - Ministry of National Defense will reportedly buy up to 35 ADG Unionfighters and 40 more Asvald Gruppen's AV-13 to replace the WZL M14 fleet entirely by 4755. Valruzia currently places the aging M14 as the basic fighter jet of the Defense Air Force. The fleet of 160 planes for years have been described as outdated and requiring replacement. MOND wants the role of WZL M14 to be taken by Unionfighters and AV-13. According to MOND, the Kazulian-made fighter-jet perfectly filled the necessary demand and the current fleet of 35 aircraft will surely be expanded to entirely replace the old M14. Ministry of Defense announced also that it reached out once again to Artanian Defense Group to and placed an initial order for 10 Unionfighters with an option for obtaining 25 more which in total would account for 35 multirole, newest generation Unionfighter (Block 3). With a green light from Dorvish Defense Export, Air Defense Force od Valruzia will most likely become the first user of Unionfighters in Seleya.



Valruzia has agonized over replacing the M14 for years, and both political and industrial factors have helped sway the government’s stance on its next tranche of fighters. In 4745, Lt. Gen. Janusz Karwinski, then the country’s air force chief, expressed a preference for Asvald Gruppen's AV-13, but after the success od acquiring ADG A400M from the Artanian consortium, an analysis was carried to assess whether the newest generation of ADG Unionfighters will also be suitable for the country's air force. Due to political pressure, the procurement process was limited to just two aircraft platforms which despite not being in total compliance with the law on public procurement law has been approved by the Government.



The purchase of new aircraft for the Air Defense Force of Valruzia will certainly cause a further stir among the governments and politicians of other countries of the continent, especially neighboring Likatonia and southern Saridan, which openly calls the modernization of Valruzia's armed forces a show of strength, but the Valruzian government strongly rejects this rhetoric and stresses that the modernization of the air force and the filling of gaps in demand for new aircraft is only to increase security on the continent and better defend the Seleyan Union in case of an attack. MOND has stressed that Valruzia has the greatest responsibility for the defense of the SU, allocating nearly LOD 140 billion a year to defense, which is several times more than any other country on the continent.
