EDUCATION BILL INTRODUCED IN CONFEDERAL ASSEMBLY
Portesi March 26, 4930: Tatania Vantu, the President of the Council of Ministers, commenting on the introduction of education legislation in the Confederal Assembly, said:
The Cabinet is still grappling with what to about language education. We want everyone to be exposed to Kizenian, Zyldavian and Kuzaki. We also believe Dundorfian, Dolgavan and Sullestian should be able to continue in use for small minority communities of immigrants who are also taught Kizenian and Zyldavian. On these two ideas all in the government are agreed.
But this does not resolve the basic language a school uses to conduct classes. Must it be Kizenian in all instances? May a school or class or community or Kanton choose to make it Zyldavian? We have not finally decided. Because we really do not know how best to serve all the communities in the Confederation.
We have an interim rule. Whatever language is currently in use in a class may continue if it is Kizenian, Zyldavian, Kuzaki, Sullestanian, Dolgavan or Dundorfian but all must be taught in a second language fashion Kizeniamn, Zyldavian and Kuzaki.
Not a great solution but what we are going to try. Headmasters will have authority to alter a particular class if she or he feels it is necessary.
