Unified Workers' Front (FUL) wins election

Disappointment for the Liberals as communists win the election
Cetatea Albâ - The 4288 election has brought horror upon the liberals as the communist party Unified Workers' Front (FUL) wins the election. "The worst scenario possible" said a member of the Alliance of Liberals.

While disbelief dominated at the Liberal headquarters, the communists were thrilled. "Best time of my life!", "Finally an end to the corporate dictature!" were chears often heard in the FUL headquarters. A nervous voice was alsof found in the headquarter. "I just wanted a social voice in the parliament, not a whole communist government." But overall, the FUL party was a happy crowd.

How could this happen? That question dominates in the Liberal headquarters. Chairman and former president Ballad Adel has a shocking explanation. "As you can see, the turnout was low. But whats more shocking is the difference between the regions. We have been soundly defeated in Zyldavia and Tiania. I heard that voting in those provinces was hindered by communist groups trowing out all liberals. A damn shame for our nation... We will request early election as soon as possible. If the communists block this we will help private enterprise to move to our neighbour Dolgavia and wait there untill the communists are out of power."

Cetatea Albâ - The elections are over. Again, as the last elections were 'rigged', because of communists hindering liberal voters in Tiania and Zyldavia from voting. This time the Alliance of Liberals (AL) won instead of the United Workers' Front (FUL). And indead the turnout went up from 61% to 73%. "Thank you" said the new president Velkan Cosovei to the LUP,"for your support of democracy."

And the Liberals are really thankful. They have proposed the new bill 'democracy act' to localise some federal powers to the local governments. This will give the regions of Tiania and Zyldavia the power to get a more social government. Pre-school education, subsidisation of art and funding and operation of museums are things which will be decentralised and given to the regions. The federal government also 'socializes'. Examples are that a minimum wage is set at a level that a single full time worker on it can adequately subsist, the corporation tax will be reintroduced and set to 5%, the government introduces means tested loans for higher education tuition, healthcare will be payed for low-income families by the government and the government unbiases the political education.

Președinte al Confederației Velkan Cosovei warns Prime Minister of Dalibor, Jung Li-Chi

Cetatea Albâ - The President Velkan Cosovei has warned Dalibor that the confederation will use force if Dalibor will mine its east coast. The mines would endanger international ships going through the channel between Dalibor and Hanzen. Furthermore the mines block the harbor of Hanzen, mostly used for titanium transport.

The president stated that, "the government will do anything to protect its growing international trade." This comes together with recent urges of the confederation to manufacture a new plane in which titanium is a main resource. A naval force is already assembling around 3 Anescu Class Mine Sweepers. "Do not try to challenge us, we will not back down!"

The Confederate Navy sends the 5th Strike Group to Dalibor

Cetatea Albâ - The navy has anounced to the media that they have send the 5th Strike Group to accompany the three minesweepers going to Dalibor. The 6th Strike Group is on standby and ready to go to support the 5th if neccesary. The minesweepers will get rid of the mines the Dalibor government placed to stop the refugees from going to Hanzen.

The 5th will be accompanied by two Martivaros Class Support Ships. Underway the 5th will refuel in Statrica. When arrived in the waters between Dalibor and Hanzen the 5th will resupply in the harbor of Hanzen. The ships are armed for any attack from Dalibor.

Hanzen - The 5th Strike Group has entered the northern harbor of Hanzen to resupply for the last time before the clearing of the mines, left by Dalibor in an effort to stop the wave of refugees going east. Dalibor has warned that they will stop the ships. The confederation will not vack down according to the Admiral.

Dalibor - The 5th Strike Group has arrived in the straight between Dalibor and Hanzen to destroy the mines layed there by Dalibor. The navy has started the clearing of the mines while navigating between the Dalibor navy, mostly consisting out of patrol boats. The straight is "the busiest waterway on terra" according to a New Endrolian captain. Tensions are running high with multiple warningshots fired by both sides. Mined, buzy, filled with possible hostile ship, close to an enemy coast, an Indralan navy on standby and a Hutorian Carrier Group close, this is the most dangerous scenario the navy has encountered in a long time. There may be more to come as tensions are still increasing.

Mitsaki starts developement of new fighter

Leaked plans for the PF-26

Trei Râuri - The Kuzaki company Mitsaki has revealed a full scale prototype called the PF-26. The PF-26 is the country’s first domestically produced full-scale test model—a technology demonstrator—of a new indigenous fighter. Revealed in Trei Râuri, capital of Kutohaderia, the General of the Airforce was present, together with many other military commanders. The fighter is designed to be a ground attack fighter.

Looking at the plans, and it becomes clear that the PF-26 uses inspiration from the Zardugal F16, bought 14 years ago. But differences are also visible. The PF-26 has a 25% larger wing area and composite materials are used to reduce overall weight and radar signature. It has a longer and wider nose to accomodate an AESA radar. It also has a larger tailplane, larger air intake and three-piece cockpit canopy.

After all this good news, experts also have a warning. "The larger wings are a pain in the ass, the whole structure has to be chaged to accomodate such wings.

New Endralon buys Artanian refueling planes


Cetatea Albâ - The Airforce command has announced that they will buy 15 ART A330 MRTT. The Foreign Minister of Dorvik has already approved the sale. The A330 MRTT is a military version of the civilian A330 airplane, made by Artanian multinational aerospace corporation, Artanian Defense Group. The abbreviation, MRTT, stands for Multi Role Tanker Transport, which perfectly explains this aircraft. The A330 MRTT can be employed as a cargo or troop transport aircraft, or aerial refuel tanker.

The A330 MRTT has a maximum fuel capacity of 111,000 kg without the use of additional fuel tanks, which leaves space for the carriage of 45,000 kg of additional cargo. The A330 MRTT's wing has common structure with the four-engine A340-200/-300 with reinforced mounting locations and provision for fuel piping for the A340's outboard engines. The A330 MRTT's wing therefore requires little modification for use of these hardpoints for the wing refuelling pods.

The A330 MRTT cabin can be modified to carry up to 380 passengers in a single class configuration, allowing a complete range of configurations from maximised troop transport to complex customisation suitable for VIP and guest missions. Available configurations include 300 passengers in a single class and 266 passengers in two classes. The A330 MRTT can also be configured to perform Medical Evacuation (Medevac) missions; up to 130 standard stretchers can be carried.

The main deck cargo configuration allows carriage of standard commercial containers and pallets (including seats) and containers, and military equipment and other large items which are loaded through a cargo door. Like the A330-200, the A330 MRTT includes two lower deck cargo compartments (forward and aft) and a bulk area capability. The cargo hold has been modified to be able to transport up to 8 military pallets in addition to civilian Unit Load Device (ULD).

An optional crew rest compartment (CRC), located in the forward cabin can be installed for a spare crew to increase time available for a mission. The passenger cabin of the A330 MRTT can be provided with a set of removable airstairs to enable embarkation and disembarkation when airbridges or ground support equipment are not available.

Schilanden - A prototype has crashed today at Air Force Base Schilanden. The plane exploded during takeoff. The pilot is wounded but in a good condition. The Airforce and Mitsaki are wondering how this could happen. The new fighter has been delayed by a year. The PF-26 is scheduled to replace the old PF-22 Yellow Pelican.

The PF-22 has served the New Endrolian Air Force well. The plane has flyed for more than a hundred years. But now is the time to replace sturdy plane. Developed by the United Kerissian Socialist Republic, the Trigunian Federation has already replaced the old planes. The PF-22 is designed for a ground attack role and its armament is easily recognisable as ground attacker. The armament consists almost completely out of anti-ship, anti-tank and anti radar missiles. Furthermore, the PF-22 also carries some laserguided bombs.

Mines cleared in Dalibor-Hanzen Straight

The navy anounced at a press conference today that the last mines have been cleared in the Straight between Dalibor and Hanzen. Dalibor hasn't said if they will replant the mines when the 5th Strike Group leaves so for safekeeping the 5th stays in Hanzen to watch the conflict from there.

Confederate Foreign Affairs minister slams Hutorian behavior


Cetatea Albâ - The Foreign Minister of the Confederation, Emanuel Sandulescu, slams the Federal Republic Hutori for their 'power addiction.'

Hutori acts like a drug addict. Now, Hutori shows us withdrawal symptoms from the drug called power. Hutori can't stand it that 'their Green Sea' is used by another power to exercise. Since the Great Terran War, Hutori claims the Green Sea to be their private property as Trigunia couldn't deny it with their degredating military power. The Green sea is international sea, and everybody can make use of it. We got news, we are not changing our behaviour because of Hutori. We are doing what we have always done, protect our citizens and their interests.

New Endralon increases participation in KEDA exercise

The 2nd Strike Group is scheduled to go to the KEDA exercises in the Green Sea. The navy has just informed the press that the 4th Strike Group will also join the 2nd in the exercises. This is likely to be seen as retaliation against the Hutorian exercises to be held a month before the KEDA exercises.

More problems with the PF-26



What happend here? That is the question Mitsaki and the Airforce are trying to answer after this weird accident. The plane tried to land at Schilanden but after touchdown the plane wasn't able to slow down enough before the end of the runway. The plane went on after the runway and eventually stopped just before/in an airforce kazerne. Shocked but unharmed the pilot left the plane. Mitsaki suspects a flap failure but it has't been confermed yet. Bad news for the airforce, as Matsaki has told them that the costs and length of developement are going to rise.
