Abundance in Food is Abundance in Strength
July 12, 4850

Porteşti- Tovarăși, we mark the two year anniversary of our Great Socialist Revolution with great pride, great accomplishment and great work to be done, specifically in the fields which fill our stomachs with food and our hearts with fire for the completion of our socialist project. It is in our fields and pastures where we have been met with unrelenting resistance by parasitic chiaburs (kulaks) since the unanimous peoples' victory. Determined to keep those who till the land enslaved to their profit deities, these chiaburs have resisted the party program "Abundance in Food is Abundance in Strength" aimed at freeing our heroic peasantry from the chains of serfdom, including them in the mass transfer of state power to the working class and collectivizing our golden fields to ensure mass production of foodstuffs and food security to the working masses, guardians of our socialist state.

The chiabur resistance is no doubt fueled by foreign agitators determined to bring our prosperous land back under the yolk of the capitalist world and their parasitic puppet masters, but they do not know the power of our working masses. Do not give them even an inch tovarăși, for they'll take that inch and fashion a rope out of it to hang you and our socialist motherland! These landowning traitors will not win, our socialist program will continue until we achieve total success, and all chiaburs and their counter-revolutionary collaborators will be liquidated. Peasants and workers, it is your duty to help defend the socialist project and our glorious socialist state, report all chiaburs, counter-revolutionaries and enemies of socialism to the Committee for State Security!

Long live our socialist republic and our unwavering Tovarăș Apostol Flaviu Ardelelan!

With pride in our hearts and scythes in our hands, we shall eliminate all chiaburs who oppose us!

Was The Honorable Pataki Soma Right Decades Ago?

A few years, almost a decade ago, the Honorable Pataki Soma introduced his proposal and suggestion towards
the people of Kizenia and New Endralon: that to end ethnical and social conflicts and the unsuccessful economy,
they should unite under a banner of an aristocratic principality. Back then people laughed at his face, and simply
considered him and his party as a joke party, and at the 4848 elections only 0.08 of the people voted for the
back then golden liberal party, and a far more group of the population voted communist.

After a decade of communist oppression and tyranny, people seems more friendly with His thoughts, especially
because the socialists among others built a police state, introduced sexual bigotry and ended the freedom of the
markets of Kizenia and New Endralon. Both urban and rural intellectual people (including some part of the
peasantry) would be open to the idea, now, when the communist dictatorship became soft and weak.

Porteşti: The Liberal Party which recently managed to storm parliament in a wave of anti socialist protests, has announced that it will pass a comprehensive series of liberal reforms in an effort to bring back democracy and basic freedoms to Kizenia and New Endralon. To further this goal it has revealed the new national flag and announced the return of the monarchy. The monarchy had been forced to flee Kizenia after the socialist revolution, marking a dark period in the nations history. While the main branch of the former royal family has presumably died out another branch has stood up to claim the now vacant throne. The House of Tavitian-Baboescu, currently led by 42 year old Stefan Tavitian-Baboescu, is a house descending from the old Kizenian bloodline. The old bloodline and house of Ionescu-Tavitian had married into the rather unknown but according to sources ancient Baboescu family some 100 years ago, resulting in the Tavitian-Baboescu house and bloodline to be created. As no other monarch or royal has claimed the throne after the new government announced its return to monarchy Stefan has done so, resulting in the likely ascension of him as King together with his wife Alexandria as queen, firmly settling the Tavitian-Baboescu line on the throne.

The official ascension of Stefan I will likely happen once the new constitution has been ratified. This will likely give Kizenia its monarchy back within this year. The new state, named the Kingdom of Kizenia and New Endralon, will be a decentralized unitary state, allowing the regional governments (soon vested in the Royal Provinces) to determine some of their own finance policies and for example housing regulations but with the ultimate authority laying with the central government. This form of government has been criticized by the large Endralonian minority, which had hoped for a federal style state to be created, allowing its people to mostly govern themselves. According to soon to be Prime Minister Toma Blerinca the decision to go for a decentralized unitary state was, "a concious one", believing that the nation as a whole would be able to experience better governance with a mostly centralized bureacracy while still giving the regions limited authority over certain matters. Furthermore he noted that, "Both Kizenian, Kuzaki and Zyldavian will be recognized as official languages and we will contineu to work with all people within the kingdom to achieve unity and effective governance."

The liberal reforms currently being passed will also take effect over the coming months. These reforms will mean massive changes for the Kizenian economy, which will experience a large amount of privatizations in the coming months and a transition from a planned, to a market economy. According to soon to be Prime Minister Blerinca the reforms will be "carefully implemented to ensure that the economy and society slowly adapt". Other reforms include the relaxation of censorship laws and the strict security and social laws of the country, previously meant to keep the socialist regime in power. With these reforms incoming Kizenia and New Endralon are seemingly once more transitioning to become a renewed democratic power.

OOC News: WUON

Porteşti: As the Liberal government continues to pass landmark reform one of such reforms is set to have a major impact on press censorship and freedom of expression laws currently in force within the country. The government, over the past 2 years, has focussed on a variety of issues that pressed it following the transition from socialism. One such problem was the infiltration of communist elements in both the state and economic apparatus, forcing the new Liberal Party government to enact measures and hold actions to rid the country's institutions of communist influences. This is still an ongoing project as a decade of socialist rule has firmly cemented its opressive nature into the fabric of Kizenian society and government. So far its on the right track however. Another aspect of this struggle was the implementation of new laws to strengthen democratic institutions and repeal laws that added to the opressive nature of the regime. The government has for example repealed several discriminatory laws, privatized large sectors of the economy and broke up communist monopolies on important parts of society.

This week the government announced a new project in this evolving challenge of creating a substainable democracy. It announced the introduction of its Media Reform Agenda or MRA. In this large set of proposals the current system of fully state owned media outlets with heavy censorship on practically anything will be replaced with a system of private non cooperative radio and television stations. The television stations will be state subsidized, as to ensure that quality news and informative programs can continue to be created. The Radio cooperatives will however not receive state funding and will, under this proposal, be privatized and organized under the same cooperatives without government interference or subsidies. While some have stated that radio stations might not survive on their own the government under Prime Minister Blerinca has emphasized that radio has always been at the forefront of innovation and progress and that he is "confident that the new to be created cooperatives will be able to provide independent and free broadcasts for the entire population." The decision to not subsidize the radio stations in the new system was a monitary one, "the government had to choose, either the large swath of telivision stations could be subsidized or the new radio stations. There was no money for both." This immediately underlined the tricky situation the new liberal government finds itself in. On the one hand they are rapidly privatizing the Kizenian economy but on the other the selling or complete dismantling of state companies have left the state in debt and causes it to lose money at a moderately quick pace. Other proposals in the MRA include the total relaxation of censorship laws, the reintroduction of the total freedom of press and freedom of assembly and the adjustment of state criticism laws, allowing citizens to criticize the government again if they desire to do so.

And while the economy is seemingly in a perculiar state the government seems to be fully focussed on instituting Kizenian democracy and keeping things affloat for now, likely putting a possible permanent fix for the economy on the backburner.

Mass Protests Across New Endralon

December 4894

A year after controversial changes to the New Endralon constitution implemented by the ruling Kizenian ultra-nationalists ethnic Syldavians have launched a series of protests across the nation. The constitutional changes further consolidated the position of the ethnic Kizenian population in given the country a single official language and establishing a semi-dictatorship through granting the President a ten year term and enacting a series of measures to make it difficult to challenge the incumbent at the end of the term.

These protests coincide with the formation of the new ethnic Syldavian Peoples Party. In the last year the ethnic Syldavian population have received strong support from political parties in the Republic of Endralon. A number of dual citizens, such as Krisztina Miksa, have been crucial in forming the new party, providing expert support and funds from the Syldavian diaspora.

Protests occurred across the nation and protesters waved various Syldavian flags.

For the first time in years the ethnic Syldavian population are organised and prepared to compete in national elections to shape the future course of politics in New Endralon. This paper looks with relish to see what the governments response is and we anticipate that the Kizenian nationalists will crumble now the Syldavian population is united in protest!

Democracy Wins

Despite a disappointingly low turnout the fascist Congress for a New Kizenia were defeated in a landslide election defeat by the pro-democracy Syldavian Peoples Party. The SPP won 84 out of 100 seats in the national legislature sweeping all regions and the Dictator Ioan Urzica Congress for new Kizenia failed to cling mobilise much support. Due to fascist measures put in place by the Congress for a New Kizenia, the Head of State position was not up for election and the un-elected Dictator Ioan Urzica also retains the power to choose the government, but the SPP have promised to amend the constitution as soon as possible to return power to the people.

Supporters of the Peoples Party celebrate their landslide win

A leading figure within the SPP Krisztina Miksa has promised that the SPP will work to end the linguistic and cultural discrimination imposed by the fascist Congress for a New Kizenia. However she added that the SPP was going to rebrand to the "Peoples Party" as they had won votes from across the various ethnic communities in New Endralon who had united to remove the Dictator Ioan Urzica and his cronies from power.

Confederation and a New Multicultural Dawn for New Endralon and Kizenia!

October 4898

New Government

Following amendments to the constitution which removed cabinet creation responsibilities from the President the majority Peoples Party quickly moved to elect a new government. All cabinet positions have been taken by the Peoples Party, with leader Borbély Bálint becoming the new President of the Council of Ministers. The new government has vowed to undo the racist policies (see here and here) of the Congress Party and build a Confederation that works for all regardless of ethnicity.

President Urzica Get Hysterical

The loser President Urzica whose Congress Party amended the constitution so that he could serve a single ten year term has thrown his toys out of the pram in the Presidential residence. Threatening to issue Presidential Decree No 1 the cry-baby President Urzica urged the international community to intervene in the Confederation to overturn the landslide defeat experienced by his Congress Party. Interestingly the President declared that the new governments desire to introduce new legislation was "unconstitutional" as if elected political parties have no mandate to govern, but of course Presidents that amend the constitution to benefit themselves clearly have the right to invite foreign nations to intervene in their own country (Editor: is this not treason? Surely a new low for the loser President Urzica).

New Multiculturalism

President of the Council of Minister Borbély Bálint has unveiled a series of policies aimed to end the racist policies of the Congress Party and implement a new multicultural direction for the Confederation. Firstly he has committed to overturn the racist Congress legislation that declared Kizenian the only official language across the country and in education. The Congress Party had also passed legislation that preferenced the ethnic Kizenia Patriarchal Church, imposing restrictions on other Churches. The new President of the Council of Minister declared that;

The Confederation will be a nation that once again recognises the unity of the Three Nations. Kizenians, Syldavians and Kuzakians will be able work in their own language, have their children educated in their own language and worship in their own Churches supported by the state, with no preference. We are better when we work together and celebrate our differences, rather than bow down to one group. Kizenian is a beautiful language and the Patriarchal Church is an important part of our cultural inheritance, but Kizenian benefits from a vibrant Zyldavian and Kuzakian culture, not from repression. The three nations are at their best when they work together!

Amongst policies unveiled by the new government are measures to criminalise hate speech, protect minorities in employment, ensure parity in education for Kizenian, Zyldavian and Kuzakian speakers and to establish the three historic Churches of the Confederation as co-equal official Churches with rights to run schools, enjoy tax exemptions and proselytise. Other legislation will offer some defence reforms and greater feedom in establishing schools outside of state control.

Foreign Minister Responds to Dolgarian Military Build Up

The Foreign Minister has expressed concerns at the Dolgarian military build up along the border. The Foreign Minister has suggested Szekeres Géza has suggested that he meets with his Dolgarian counterpart to clear up any differences. The Foreign Minister added that;

The Confederation has no interest in interfering in the domestic politics of its neighbour states, whether they be vibrant democracies such as Egelion or one party states such as Dolgaria. The government of the Confederation firmly believes in national sovereignty and we urge friendly relations and cooperation with our neighbours. Respecting election results must be key to those friendly relations and cooperation.

The Foreign Minister discussed that he is keen to visit as many nations as soon as possible to demonstrate to Terra that a new democratic Confederation is good news for all.

Defence Policies Reinforce Commitment to Peace

Despite the aggressive build up of Dolgarian Armed Forces along the shared border the new Defence Minister briefed that the new government was fully committed to peaceful relations with its neighbours and would reconfigure the defence policies of the Confederation to commit to a no first use policy on chemical and biological weapons and the imposition of restrictions on the Confederations Intelligence Services. It was hoped that these measures would serve to demonstrate to the Confederations neighbours that the Confederation was a peaceful nation committed to good relations, peace and stability.

Trade Minister commits to honouring historic Trade Agreements

The new Trade Minister Bognár Sándor has committed the Confederation to pursuing freed trade policies to ensure that people have the best choice when it comes to goods and services. He outlined that he wanted to engage with all of the Confederations historic partners to ensure that Trade Agreements continued to be honoured. He also stated that it was his intention to organise a business and trade delegation to visit the Republic of Endralon as he was concerned that the recent racist and anti-Endralonese policies of the previous government may have harmed relations between our two great nations.
