GREEN PARTY ENETERS JELBANIAN POLITICS, MANY EXPECT A BREAKTHOUGH

October 3304

The Green Party, which is a predominately pro-monarchy party, socially liberal, economically centrist and politically center-left has a special commitment to ecology and the protection of the environment and the world we live in.

The latest polls show in the next election the Green's would be picking up seats from the governing party, Grand Nationalist's. The party is also expected to leap forward in the polls and pick up ground from the GNP.

LATEST OPINION POLLS
Grand Nationalists Party: 52%

The polls also suggest the party would take just under half the seats in the legislature at the next election, becoming a formidable and influential opposition to the predicted GNP government, but they would only just make it.
Green Party: 48%

GNP: WE WILL FIGHT
John Stephen rallies support

Baofluz - In a major political conference held today, Former Prime Minister John Stephen lambasted the LGBT government and rallied support from Nationalists, in an apparent bid to retake control of the government and parliament.

"We have seen the LGBT disregard the will of the Jelbanian people, we have seen the LGBT railroad a vindictive and malicious agenda, we have seen the LGBT ready to sacrifice everything this country stands for. We shall not see that again!" Stephen said in front of thousands of cheering partymates, guests and supporters.

The Former Head of Government stressed that the Grand Nationalists Party will continue to work for the empire, as it still enjoys a majority support from the populace.

"They may deny us a spot in Cabinet, but they may never deny the country's love and support from the Great Nationalists, the Party that truly serves and cares for you, our dear people!" Stephen said as the crowd stood and broke to a thundering applause.

The Crown, which managed to stay completely mum until recent days, have also stressed support for Stephen and the Nationalists, highlighting disappointment over the LGBT''s constitutional reforms which seeks to remove the Jelbanian monarchy.

The Grand Nationalists Party, long identified as the conservative-right champion of Jelbania, was voted out of effective executive control by a coalition organized by the LGBT party. Despite the GNP still being country's largest party, it is now considered as the Opposition, an unprecedented political setup in Parliament which has stunned analysts, experts and scholars all over the world.

Freedom Party calls for Moderation
Angel Ross speaks publically calling for a more united Parliament

Image
Rare photo of the Freedom Party Chairwoman and Leader outside of Parliament

Freedom Party Chairwoman and Leader Angel Ross has made calls for more unity for the Jelbanian Parliament, which is increasingly finding itself split between the highly liberal LGBT Party and the the staunchly conservative Grand Nationalists Party, with the moderate Democratic Front and Freedom Party in the cross fire.

Although having supported the coalition that ousted the Grand Nationalist Party from power, and fully endorsed the LGBT's bid to abolish the Monarchy in lieu of bringing back an elected President the Freedom Party has been identified by analysts to be much closer to the GNP then to the LGBT ideologically as Progressive Conservatives.

Ross has further called for longer debates in Parliament by the LGBT leadership, so as to give the Democratic Front and Freedom Party greater time to mull over the Bills introduced.

The Jelbanian people elected us to govern their country, not turn Baofluz into a battleground. If we had more time to discuss every Bill introduced into Parliament and allow them to have support garnered for them, Parliament would return to the great lawmaking institution it began as; not an idealogical artillery duel between parties.

EMPEROR 'HUMBLED' BY SUPPORT

Image

Baofluz, The Emperor described the outpouring support from Jelbanians as a "humbling experience" in a televised address to the nation, marking the renewed confidence and support for the Crown and the Royal family of the United States of Jelbania.

In a two-minute message of thanks, which made no mention of the the power struggle in Parliament weeks ago, he said: "It has touched me deeply to see so many thousands of families, neighbours and friends coming together to offer their support, their prayers and their well-wishes."

Offering special thanks from himself and Empress Christine to all those who had helped organise the countless prayer vigils and support rallies all over the country, he said that the past couple of weeks have been a massive challenge.

"I hope that memories of all this year's trying events will strengthen our lives for years to come. I will continue to treasure and draw inspiration from the countless kindnesses shown to me in this country and throughout our great territories. I thank you all."

Meanwhile, with the conclusion of the special elections called for several days ago, The Grand Nationalists still emerged as the largest party by controlled seats, retaking 71 seats. The Nationalists are now poised to retake power and control of government.Prime Minister-apparent John Stephen is expected to cement the preservation of the Monarchy, which for the past weeks, have been rattled by attacks from the LGBT party and other liberal movements seeking to railroad the country to a Republic.

Stephen is expected to form a coalition government with the other two major parties in Parliament, namely the Freedom Party and the Democratic Front Party.

THE CENTRE HOLDS THE POWER

Image
Freedom Party Rally in Baofluz

At a massive Freedom Party in Baofluz, Angel Ross spoke to thousands of supporters to commemorate the Freedom Party's success in the recent election. The Freedom Party advanced even further from the last election which saw the Party achieve 208 seats, just under exactly 30% of the total seats of Parliament, and gained the Governorship of Turadrad, having obtained a full 60 seats. Ross personally congratulated Governor Ryan Kelly, the Freedom Party Governor of Turadrad, and promised to continue rising the Party to higher heights.

The Grand Nationalists Party may have obtained the largest number of seats individually but this is a momentous moment for the Freedom Party movement. Despite our party only being 10 years old, we already have gained enough ground to hold our own, and it is because of you; the people, that made this possible. We will continue rising, until we make the United States of Jelbania the greatest nation on Earth!

Rumors abound that Angel Ross is expected to not only seek but endorse a Coalition with the Democratic Front and Grand Nationalists Party, however analysts have pointed out that this is a shrewd and highly strategic move by the Freedom Party's leader and co-founder. The Freedom Party is seen as the centre between the Democratic Front and the Grand Nationalists Party, and the cement in any coalition between them, making the Freedom Party an effective powerbroker and the could be deciding factor in any vote between the two parties. When questioned Ross was coy.

We are all members of the same Jelbanian Parliament, elected by the Jelbanian people, to serve Jelbania. If the Freedom Party benefits in some way, it is only in a way to benefit our great nation.

Freedom Party hosts Largest Rally Yet
Ross prepares for Election and Stalwarts flex muscle
Image

After the stunning successes of the Freedom Party to pass Bill F-17 which allowed paramilitary organization to again be apart of political parties, the Freedom Party celebrated with the official unveiling of the Freedom Party Stalwarts. The Freedom Party Stalwarts were an unofficial organized branch of the Freedom Party, which aided in rally security, organization and rumored to be responsible for breaking up opposition LGBT rallies before their joining in the short lived anti-GNP coalition. Thousands of uniformed and regimented Stalwarts marched through the capital of Turadrad province earlier today. Turadrad province is a strong Freedom Party stronghold in which is garnered almost half of its seats in the last election and made the Freedom Party a true powerbroker in Parliament.

Freedom Party Chairwoman and Minister of Internal Affairs Angel Ross was also in attendence of the rally as she and the rest of the party prepares for the November election, which were brought to the forefront because of Bill F-17 which cut election times by 2 years. The Bill also slashed available seats by 200 expecting this election to be much more heated then the last one, as the three dominant parties; the Grand Nationalists Party, the Democratic Front and the Freedom Party vie for control. When asked about the emergence of two new political parties, the Moral Unity Party and the Wibbly Wobbly Party Ross was purely optimistic.

"I welcome all challengers into the Jelbanian Parliament and hope that this election will show the world that the Freedom Party has the people's confidence."
