Knights of St. George Victorious

After the voluntary disbanding of the Krsyijotrnat, the Knights of Saint George have seized power in a free and fair election. The large number of Knights guarding the polls armed with Deltarian Hradčany 47 assault rifles did not in any way affect the results. 100% of Jelbanian voters voted for the only party listed on the ballot. Turnout was lower then the previous election due to intimidation by former Krsyijotrnat supporters, but not in any way because of only having one party. The fact that the new Cabinet will be composed entirely of members of the Deltarian minority is an irrelevant coincidence. Deltarian military advisers have already joined the Jelbanian Army, advising them on matters such as recruiting methods, how to conserve ammunition while using machine guns against crowds, and nuclear weapons deployment. In addition, former Okhranka members are helping to train the Monastic Guards, the new police force of Jelbania. Grandmaster Jan Pardubický, the Grandmaster of the Knights of Saint George, has emphasized that this is not a Deltarian occupation in any way, shape, or form, simply help from our new ally.

Persecution of Muslim Scum Begins

130 mm artillery guns.

Grandmaster Jan Přmyslov has announced that the practice of Islam in Jelbania is now a capital crime. The decree saw its first application several hours after it was promulgated, when 344 Muslims were machine-gunned while exiting the Baofluz Mosque. Troops armed with Hradčany 47 assault rifles then entered the mosque and killed 207 people, including an imam, who had remained inside. The mosque was then completely and methodically looted, with everything that could be moved taken. The process was completed when 130 mm howitzers leveled the mosque, firing shells at the efficient rate of three shells in nine seconds. There were no casualties among the government forces. Grandmaster Přmyslov's only comment was: "For a manually loaded gun, three seconds per shell is an admirable rate. This could lead to a revolution in artillery tactics."

The government has also issued the following video, with subtitles in Daralian: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wadVii0eKng

Crusade against Islam Continues; Jelbanian Army Re-equipped

The Hrádkinék or Hradčany 47, now the Jelbanian Army service rifle.

The crusade against Islam continues at a brisk pace, as 27 mosques were closed down in the last few months, with a total of 1,207 Muslim casualties and 32 government casualties. Grandmaster Jan Přmyslov has widened the crusade to include heretic branches of Christianity. The various Protestant heresies were declared illegal, with Protestant pastors being evicted from their churches and replaced with Catholics. In addition, Jews are being persecuted in the same way as Muslims, with several synagogues being destroyed. Grandmaster Přmyslov also announced that the Jelbanian Army will be replacing their obsolete Artanian-made Krbne 98 bolt-action rifles with the Hrádkinék, a Jelbanian version of the famous Deltarian Hradčany 47 assault rifle, and replacing the various tanks, planes, and other equipment with Deltarian models or Jelbanian versions of them.

The Social Democratic Party Wins in a Landslide

The elections of 2900 in Jelbania swept the Social Democratic Party into power, ending 66 years of the rule of the Támnrshla Svatè Jeiriék. The Social Democratic Party took not only a majority, but over 2/3 of all seats in the legislature. Ever since its foundation, the SDP had been steadily gaining seats, since the Támnrshla Svatè Jeiriék had not been active in creating laws for the people. Many were not satisfied with the Támnrshla Svatè Jeiriék since it swept into power in 2834, because of the party's failure to communicate its views and policies. Also, many were upset with the Támnrshla Svatè Jeiriék's huge tax hike. Many voters agreed that it was time for change and an end the Theocracy and.

The Social Democratic Party won in a landslide, taking 79.67% of the vote, and gained 23 seats, allowing the party to increase its seat to 57 out of 75 in the legislature. The Támnrshla Svatè Jeiriék had the lowest number of seats since it was founded, but soon after the defeats, the party was officially dissolved.

The SDP has promised to end the Theocracy, and allow religious freedom for all, and establish a republic, which, according to the party, would allow people to be more involved in government. Many are optimistic that the Social Democratic Party will bring back trust into the government.
