RAMIREZ COMMITS SUICIDE

Not long after the elections, the former president and ex-FLF member Oscar Ramirez shot himself in his cell. Prison guards rushed in to try to stop him but they were too late. His last words were "So long, democracy-preaching suckers! You can rot in hell with all the f****ts! And f*** you Serpico!" Ramirez was criticised several decades ago over his 'hot mic' incident by many, most notably Jose Dias and Serpico.

PEDRO RODRIGUEZ JR COMMENTS ON RAMIREZ"S DEATH

Just the day after Ramirez's suicide, Pedro was asked about his death.He said "All I can say about him is good riddance.He killed many of my friends, so I don't feel remorse for him.The closest thing I have to remorse is pity for his family." It appears that Pedro Rodriguez Jr has a grudge against Oscar Ramirez for executing his friends during the Gaduri Civil War.Pedro managed to escape being captured by Ramirez's forces.

OPERATION VIKING SUCCESSFUL, WAR ENDS

The coordinated attack, called Operation Viking, has been successful.The Battle of Kelvon Mountains has been won by the Gaduri Freedom Guard, led by Ortega Conde, which destroyed the southern NPC forces.But that wasn't what made the NPC surrender.The Battle of Northern Agatha has been won by Pedro Rodriguez Jr's forces, which made the NPC surrender therefore officially ending the war.

GADURIDOS CELEBRATES VICTORY OVER NPC

Today Gaduridan forces stepped off their ships to the cheering of thousands in Gadur. The troops were proud to finally be back on Gaduri soil and to see their families once again. For those who were present or watching on television, this was the event of a lifetime. Domenico Rodriguez and Umberto Caberra, the two oldest Gaduri politicians still alive, attended in person.

A minute of silence was observed for those who fell during the 12 year war, before President Serpico gave his speech:

"This is a great moment for our nation! For the first time in centuries, Gaduridos has shown its power once again. We have helped liberate another country from the oppression that was the NPC. It has been a long 12 years, but at last we have secured freedom for our Kazulian brothers. Gaduridans, be strong and be free! May God bless you all and may God bless the Federal Union of Gaduridos!"

The crowds cheered once more as Serpico presented the Gaduri Star to Pedro Rodriguez Jr and his comrades for capturing Marshal Frankenstein and defeating the NPC. He reminded the Gaduridan army that they will retain a presence in Kazulia until the end of October 4618.

SALES TAX REFERENDUM COMING TO 4616 BALLOT

In a rare vote yesterday the LUP and SCP voted together while the GFP and SPP voted in opposition. The bill that created this unlikely alliance is a 2% sales tax referendum. Under Gaduri law any increase or decrease of sales tax must be approved by a vote of the people. The proposal was brought to the floor by Finace Minister Rache Padrez who argued that with the 2% increase more public services would be provided. Meanwhile, SCP leader Debbie Powell said her caucus supported the bill as a mean to reduce income taxes which for the middle class can mean 15%-45% rates. The opponents of this proposal the SPP stated their dislike of a consumer based tax and a GFP party insider voiced the parties anti-new tax philosophy as the reason for their parties stance. Regardless of the reasons behind why a party supported or opposed the legislation the parliament ultimately passed the bill 138-112. The people will now decide the fate of this bill at the next general election which is scheduled for November of 4616.

SKALM TRIAL A VICTORY FOR THE PROSECUTION, PEDRO RODRIGUEZ JR ACCUSED


The judge of the Skalm Trials, Eugene Hedgeway, has declared all defendants guilty."Looking at the evidence that caused the suffering of millions of people, I have declared all defendants, Theodor Lynden Frankenstien,Thorbjørn Kraiger, Stepan Gessner, and Adolf Kjellberg guilty.The accused shall surrender now." he said.All defendants are sentenced to life.In the same trial, one of the witnesses, Asbjørn Aaker and Elsa Aaberg accused Pedro Rodriguez Jr, who served as a witness in the Skalm Trial, of war crimes."His troops killed my parents and Asbjørn's brother." Elsa said "He also massacred my town."Pedro responded by saying "My troops never harmed a Kazulian citizen, let alone massacred a Kazulian town!" Pedro now awaits trial in Gaduridos.If he gets convicted or indicted, he will get his Gaduri star revoked and sentenced to life in prison.

SERPICO ELECTED FOR SECOND TERM

The incumbent president Nikolas Ilene Serpico beat Hollande Didez again 51% to 48%. The GFP also made a gain of 2 seats, presumably a transfer of seats from the SCP, while continuing to dominate the state of Marligantos and stand as the second largest Gaduridan party. However, due to the SCP losing seats to the LUP and SPP, the right coalition is again in the minority.

PEDRO RODRIGUEZ JR ACQUITTED

After a long trial, the judge, Charles Hemsworth, has ruled in Pedro's favor."Looking at the evidence, I declare the defendant, Pedro Rodriguez Jr, not guilty.All charges against the accused shall drop and the defendant will be escorted home."It turns out, Elsa Aaberg's parents are still alive and Asbjørn Aaker is an only child.When these points were brought up, the prosecution retreated to the massacre charge.The defense took some witnesses from the town, and they never heard of a massacre done by Gaduri troops, which led to Pedro's acquittal.The witnesses, Elsa, And Asbjørn will be shipped back to Kazulia.
