Wu Clearly Shaken and Stressed by the Embassy Bombing, Calls for a National Government

Recent pictures of Wu Yifan, the President of Gaduridos, was seen exiting a meeting with special forces and the response teams, clearly shaken and stressed. His party which is governing alone currently despite only having 214 of the 750 seats in the Senate has been feeling the strain of minority government. His usual upbeat demeanor could not disguise the atrocities that took place at the Deltarian Embassy Bombing.

He gave a short speech following an emergency cabinet meeting.

Today. Today we have seen the worst of mankind, the worst of what people can be. As a nation we have become divided, it is now we need to work together with all parts of our nation to rebuild and work out how to elevate tensions, terrorism is not an answer to anything. As a unified nation we can work together with the international community to seek answers and solutions to all crisis'. Which is why today I will be calling upon other parties to join in a National Government of all parties to seek solutions to our current crisis'

Wu Admits Defeat and Resigns as Radical Party Leader

Following the disastrous electoral results and his defeat in the presidential election, Wu Yifan announced he will be resigning as party leader and will not take his seat in the Senate. He reflected on his term as president as 'one of the most enjoyable and most stressful experiences in his life' and something which he will not be wanting to do again.

He said resigning and losing the presidency will give him short-term relief as he says he wants to move away from politics, although not completely, and focus more on his music and dancing career. Somewhat surprisingly he was rather smiley about the whole affair, showing clearly that he had not enjoyed his year and a half as president. The race to succeed him has already begun, with Wu ruling out endorsing any candidate.

Conservative Union's Juanita Solis Elected President

Image

Gadur, Federal Union of Gaduridos

The Conservative Union's Juanita Solis has been elected President, after her party's motion of no confidence against the Government of President Wu Yifan also returned her party to the Federal Senate with 172 seats. The party carried South Vintalli only, however broad spectrum support across all states carried Solis to the Presidency. The Conservative Union had a majority in South Vintalli, where the majority of Deltarian refugees have settled and where the greatest discontent around the situation is concentrated.

Solis is expected to attempt to form a coalition Government, and it is expected that the Socialist parties will have to set aside their differences and work together to oppose her reforms in the Senate.

Solis said in a speech in Gadur:

Today is a great day for the nation, and for the Conservative Union. The people of Gaduridos are tired of the mismanagement of President Yifan, and it is clear that they no longer trust the crushing ideology of the socialist parties. We will grow our economy, strengthen our borders, and deliver security for all.

President Solis Stumbles at First Hurdle

Image

President Solis has had an embarrassing stumble, as her first bill as President, hailed as a landmark in the history of the nation, was defeated in the Federal Senate. The Comprehensive National Security Act would have expanded police powers, and cracked down on the criteria available to incoming refugees. This follows the bombing last year of the Deltarian Embassy in Gadur, blamed on Deltarian refugees opposed to authoritarian leader Boris Avram.

The bill marked a huge swing for the Conservative Union, away from the liberal conservative policies of deceased former leader Hu Win Me, and Solis easily won the party leader primaries at a time when anger and confusion over the refugee crisis had gripped the nation. Whilst a staunch advocate of state's rights, Solis is attempting to consolidate the powers of the executive branch after a number of years of mild constitutional twists and turns. However, whether she can surmount her disadvantage in the Senate remains to be seen.

Social Democratic Party Leader David Drumlin Dies

Social Democratic Party leader David Drumlin has died at the age of 87. Drumlin passed away peacefully after a short illness. The party bulwark, who served as Foreign Secretary under President Luke Dunsmore in the late 3980's, was well respected in the Federal Senate.

Elisa Padrera takes over as party leader

Former party Internal Affairs spokeswoman Elisa Padrera was duly elected on the third ballot of the party's voting poll, winning Marligantos, North Vintalli and Pernessia by comfortable margins after party elder Adlai Bingham dropped out on the second ballot.

Punset Silences Critics by Making Sweeping Gains, and Securing a Second Term

Carolina Punset has silenced her critics which claimed her campaign had been lackluster and her party's term in office had been 'politically boring', with little to no 'radical changes' seen in the past four years. Punset winning a second term in office is significant after many claimed she would fall just like Wu had a decade before, and that the RLP was only ever good for 'one off protest votes'.

Image

She has also silenced internal critics in her latest cabinet proposal by removing them from their posts, the party's deputy leader, Huang Zi Tao, has managed to survive despite his private row with her, Kim Min-seok and Manuel Romagnoli, have been ousted from their posts after calling for a change in leadership. Kim hit back saying "I find it amusing that she's removed me from the cabinet, like it's some sort of career-ruining move, well it's not for me at least".

Punset Ousted from Leadership

President Carolina Punset has been ousted from the leadership of the Radical Liberal Party, following several public spats and an open rift in the party, Punset was challenged to a leadership contest by three other party members. Punset placed second in the run-off losing to former cabinet minister Manuel Romagnoli, Punset accused Romagnoli of back-stabbing saying 'He's only planning to stay for a short time to make way for Wu's son, nothing else', Romagnoli hit back insisting he would stay in position until 'his work was done'.

Wu Chen, the son of Wu Yifan, and a royal Prince of Indrala has often been tipped as a future leader although he is not even a Senator yet he has stated he plans to run in the next election, which drew much controversy in the more right-leaning wing, which helped push Wu Yifan out of office following his toxic image. Romagnoli has said in the past that he'd welcome Chen into the parliamentary party and said that he would be a welcome addition, he also stated he does not personally plan to run for president and another candidate would be selected.

The New Dawn Media Network
Nov 4015
Report By. Alessia Xi
THE PROGRESSIVE PARTY FINDS SUCCESS IN OPENING ITS SILVER ANT TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK IN KANJOR.
After the All Progressive Party leader Hector Guerrero traveled to the supreme empire private talks have been held between several parties involved which saw the introduction of the Silver Ant Company bill being proposed and approved by more than 2/3 of the imperial house of representatives. During Hector Guerrero's visit to the Supreme Province he has had the privilege to join and address the imperial house of representatives where he gave a speech and passed notes among the representatives. Having spent more than a month in Kanjor the APP leader missed elections in his country Gaduridos were the APP didn't gain seats but lost a few. This has devastated the APP leader who couldn't appear in the November House of Representatives seating which saw the more than 2/3 of the house vote for the company bill, there to address the house was the APP secretary general Mario Guadalupe who is part of the entourage that came with Hector Guerrero. Back in Gadur city, the acting All Progressive Party President Giovanni Baldo saw the party lose the presidential elections with no hope and was quoted say "The past election weren't ever favoring the APP".

Free Gaduridos Press

Image

(Jeff Wallace) Welcome to the FGP, tonight we have seen the ballot papers go into the box and what appears to have been a massive upset in this election seeing the Socialist Party of Gaduridos winning 187 seats standing as the largest party. The Social Conservative Party had made into the second round of the Presidential field after the electoral pact with the Gaduridos First Party. This election is one to be remembered the Gaduridos First Party and Socialist Party both came in the top to in seats in Parliament. We go live to the party HQ of Gaduridos First Party

Image

(Crowd) LEVI LEVI LEVI

(Levi Richardson) Hello Ellington! It is great to be here in my own consistency, where we won overwhelmingly! Well ask you know an election results are upon us and we are moving this campaign from here all the way to the head of government or to be in government with the next election.

(Crowd) YAY!!! Levi!! *cheers*

(Levi Richardson) We have set here through this last government and saw nothing happen at all, The Gaduridos First Party Manifesto almost pass when the government worked so very hard against the bill by not voting for it or just flat out voting against it. Well I can tell you this if you chose to give us the keys to the government or if we make a deal to keep in government then we will work hard everyday to make this nation as conservative as we can. Yes we might have to work with other parties but that is okay it will be a government that can pass something instead of just voting no and then saying we are in government we make the rules and yet they can't pass a single bill. We will have a coalition that will not be broken apart to work on legislation with us and pass meaningful legislation. It will be great to be in government with your help we can and we will. Our party's plan for government are plain and simple. Enhance the natural rights of the all citizen. When I say that, I do not mean to say "Hey, go crazy, do whatever you want". What I mean, is that we should give the citizens more freedoms and rights. We don't intend to be extreme in doing this. We also believe that a "pro-life" society be put in place. The Party believes that all humans should have the right to be born, and should be able to live their god intended life.

(Crowd) THANK YOU!! YAY!! *Cheers*

(Levi Richardson) Under our new and coming governments we will cut taxes in half, not talk about it but will do and with these cuts for the people we will scale back state spending! Our ideas are based on times long gone where people control the state not the state control it's people! We will still lead the fight with other parties to stop this nation going to war, this is absolutely absurd, as you all are aware that this is not a civil war like the government is trying to get you to believe but this war is going global! We have massive movement of military hardware going towards the nation. We don't even know what is going on here, all that has been said is their is a civil war and we need to do something because everyone else is. We see no national emergency this civil war shows no threat to our nation. It is not even close to us, neither party in this civil war has threated our nation. I will not be voting to out our boys into a war. I will stand and fight to stop this by opposing treaties.
