BRETHREN ACCEPT RAZAMID PEACE PRIZE

Many Alorians have heard the news of the Evangelical Brethren receiving a joint Razamid Peace Prize, along with the esteemed Augusta Maxima of Pontesi. The Brethren have been reluctant to be seen in the spotlight for this, preferring to be seen as having humility. However, the Evangelical Brethren Conference, Aloria (EBCA), has openly accepted the prize and the Evanglical Brethren congregations themselves have seen quite an uptick in attendees to their meetings.

"We are humbled and honored to receive this Razamid Peace Prize," said Wieland Gregor Riese, spokesperson for the EBCA. "We are immensely thankful to God and Eliyahu for this opportunity. As Brethren, we cannot rightfully accept the prize without stating who the real hero is here. We are merely servants of God, and He deserves all the glory."

Wieland Riese, the charismatic founder of Evangelical Brethrenism, was slow to acknowledge the Brethens' winning of the Razamid Prize when it was first announced. However, he and the Brethren have come to see this event as an opportunity to evangelize their religion and to use the winnings from the Razamid Prize to further the causes of service to the community the Brethren are famous for supporting.

"The Evangelical Brethren Conference, Aloria, will donate the generous amount of money given to us in conjunction with the Razamid Peace Prize to the Alorian Housing Ministry, a small nondenominational Hosian organization dedicated to building simple, affordable homes for the poor." said Riese. "While we ourselves do administer charity work, we feel that it would be selfish to keep the money within our organization."

JOHN RESPONDS TO ACCUSATIONS FROM RSF

Foreign Minister John, seemingly incapable of not commenting on the RSF at any chance he gets, has launched heavy criticism towards the leftist party and their leader, Eduardo Schwarz, after Schwarz called John's party, the AFP, "homophobic, anti-environmental, racist, [and] fascist." The AFP is known for their right wing populist stance on many issues, most notably immigration and the AU. John has been leader of the AFP since its breakthrough into politics, and is known for his fiery rhetoric.

"There's almost nothing that can be said in response to Mr. Schwarz's allegations, because that is how ridiculous they are," said John. "We are a party for all Alorians or all races, religions, and backgrounds. It would do the Students' Front well to understand this, as their party organization seems to be almost entirely made up of people below the age of 30. So much for diversity!"

"The RSF, of course, is the only party which has threatened violence against us. And they call us the fascists! But the RSF doesn't seem to be attacking the other parties, when some of them largely agree with us in the AFP on issues like immigration. Why are they particularly afraid of us here in the AFP? Probably because we are able to get things done."

Yæti people come back into the spot light of modern society
July 4272
written by Nichlas Dey

It has been a long period of time since the words Yæti or even Kurmali, you may be looking at these foreign words in confusion. What do they mean? Where are they from? When even? The Yæti are a people focused, the bulk of their population anyway, in the Caermoel wladwriaeth/staat. They were the people(s) to inhabit Aloria before the arrival of foreign peoples, the majority of the current existing Alorians. Representing around 3-5% of the current, official population in the nation. In fact, this is why there has been a very recent rise of two parties. The Yæti Theud Partiya(Yæti Nation Party and the Plaid Tirgwyryfaidd Brodorol(Native Alorian Party) which are both groups focused upon Yæti advocacy and, in part due to the nature of their supporters, advocating for a revival of Bogism. Both parties, while being opposed on a number of issues, stand strongly for the advancement of Yæti interests. With another shock coming with it, they both got votes outside of the Yæti ethnic group. Showing some, while likely small, growing support for the Yæti people in Aloria.

Image
Theud Partiya symbol, representing Yæti pride.

The Yæti Nation Party, in specific, has set out a clear policy. Whilst the Native Alorian Party has not. The Nation Party has directly described it's ideology being ethnic differentialist and socialist, supporting ethnic tradition and identity (specifically Yæti). As well as what they call 'Socialism of Duty', which focuses more of empowering the state then anything. With the largest sectors being directly controlled by the state, while everything else would be privately owned with as least regulation as possible.
Hey, hello, new person here.

AFP MINISTERS RESIGN FROM CABINET

Image

"It is with a heavy heart that I resign the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs," declared AFP leader Seth John in a press conference to a frenzied group of reporters. "But we have no choice, as Prime Minister Garcia has forced our hand. The actions of Labor are unacceptable, infringing on the prerogative of Justice Minister Eleonore Luxenberg to do her duty to the Alorian people. With me, all AFP members of the 'Rainbow Coalition' are resigning from the Cabinet. Make no mistake, Prime Minister Garcia is to blame for this. If Labor cannot form a new cabinet, we will support early elections. And we will not participate in any new cabinet unless early elections are called. Garcia has no respect, absolutely no respect, for democracy!"

In response to the recent actions of Prime Minister Marilee Garcia, and on the heels of the PLN/NLP resigning from the cabinet, the AFP has also resigned from government. Key ministerial positions such as Justice and Defence are now vacant. The actions of Labor have been widely decried by many commentators, although Labor supporters and other observers insist the Prime Minister was merely safeguarding the right to parliamentary privilege.

The resignations of both the AFP and PLN/NLP put an end to the already battered "Rainbow Coalition", and almost necessitate early elections. These would be the second early elections in recent years, and the first triggered by a lack of governing consensus. The last early elections were triggered by the collapse of the now-defunct Alorian National Congress

PRESIDENT WEHNERT RESPONDS TO CABINET MADNESS

President Wehnert has given a statement about the current political turmoil in Aloria, which has seen the PLN/NLP and AFP resign from the cabinet due to the actions of Prime Minister Marilee Garcia. The so-called Rainbow Coalition is now at an end, which has lasted less than 12 months, leaving Wehnert with a decision to make regarding the possibility of a new cabinet proposal. In his speech, Wehnert strongly condemned the actions of the Prime Minister.

Due to the recent actions of Prime Minister Garcia, the current cabinet, which has achieved some great things, is in a state of disarray. Garcia, who I think has been a very good prime minister, has let herself down and let her country down. Eleonore Luxenberg did nothing wrong. She was fulfilling her role as justice minister. Prime Minister Garcia should apologise immediately for her illegal actions. I repeat the word illegal. Garcia cites parliamentary privilege, however Luxenberg did not break parliamentary privilege. It was made very clear that Mr Schwarz would not face prosecution. Prime Minister Garcia should resign immediately. We must turn our attention to the immediate future. I think this government has achieved great things, such as the Education Bill, and it is a shame the prime minister wants it to end. Now, a new cabinet must be formed. This is not a good time for an early election, it is a time for real leadership. That is what I will offer this country. Thank you.

Eleonore Luxenberg Speaks Out

- Thanks political community for their support
- Calls upon Prime Minister to resign after "outrageous" misuse of power
- Says that she would continue the Committee if reinstated
- Likens the Labor Party to the New World Order

Image
Eleonore Luxenberg spoke out in front of a full house at the PLN/NLP Headquarters

Eleonore Luxenberg has, for the first time, commented upon her suspension, and subsequent resignation from her position as Justice Minister. Addressing a jam-packed room, full of journalists from national and international news organisations, at the PLN/NLP Headquarters in Concordia, Caermoel, she talked about the need for transparency within government. Ms Luxenberg, although visibly slightly shaken, gave a strong account of her actions and maintained her innocence, as well as thanking the other parties for their support. She also praised the work of President Wehnert for attempting to find a solution to this scenario.

Thank-you everyone for coming. Last night was definitely one of the most hectic nights, not just in my life, but in the recent political history of Aloria.
What unfurled was most definitely unexpected, and uncalled for, and has plunged our august nation into extreme political stability. I am sure you are all aware by now that I have fully relinquished my post as Justice Minister under a Garcia government, and am now prioritising my efforts at helping my party make gains in the early election, that is set to be voted for in the Senate, next month.

I naturally wish to thank all the members of the Senate who have offered me support through this time. I am pleased to see that despite ideological differences, members of all parties have grouped together to fight this gross abuse of power by the current Prime Minister. May I also thank in particular Mr. Schwartz for agreeing to answer questions within the Committee. His honesty is something we must all aspire to, and I hope that I am able to live up to the candor of Mr. Schwartz in any future career, political or otherwise.

Transparency within any government or ministry, be that at national level or at a local one, must be paramount. Sadly we did not see this, and actions were taken that went against the sovereignty of the Senate, and crucially the best interests of the people. It is my belief that the Prime Minister removed me without grounded cause, and for that reason, I believe that her actions were illegal. I made it abundantly clear that the Ministry of Justice would not be prosecuting Mr. Schwartz; in fact, should the Senate have looked at overturning his parliamentary privilege, I believe that I should as Justice Minister abstain from that vote.

As I have now picked apart the case presented by the Labor Party, I can say with confidence that I have not done anything wrong, and that it is indeed the Prime Minister who is at fault. It was an outrageous misuse of power, and I am ashamed to say that I was part of that government. In my opinion, the only way for any sort of stability within this nation to resume is to see her resign immediately, and with immediate effect. I then think that she should undergo a Senate inquiry, and then the decision over whether to remove parliamentary privilege should be taken by the Senate.

I also wish to say that I would possess the continuation of the Committee were I to return to the position of Justice Minister in the future. I believe that openness is imperative, and I hope that all other parties will be supportive in finding out what we need to know, so that we can keep everyone happy - both on the left and on the right. For indeed, we too need to learn lessons. It is quite clear that a large proportion of the country doesn't agree with the politics I hold, and we need to respect that, and see how we can benefit all Alorians.

Let us be clear that this Rainbow Coalition has not been a gross failure. We have seen many new bills come through the House. Whilst these may be reset post election, I am proud to say that my party has helped see further Religious Freedom introduced, as well a radical reform to our justice system, that gives more freedom to the people. However, it must be noted that not once has the Labor Party backed these changes. They are indeed a party who wish for static legislation, despite the archaic and discriminatory laws still in place that are not befitting to a Modern Day Aloria. They are the New World Order reincarnate.

Finally, I wish to thank our President for the excellent work that he has done. I thank him for his efforts to reconcile the sides within this difficult time. I can assure him that he has the unwavering support of the PLN/NLP to conduct a second term as President of Aloria. His manner and resilience have helped Aloria in a time of uncertainty. Without him, political differences would have undoubtedly collapsed into conflict, and for that we are all thankful.

Once again, I thank you all for coming today. I can assure you that I will continue to do my best for this wonderful country, and the wonderful people inside this country. I want us all to remember how our ancestors dug deep in their struggle against oppression 1600 years ago. We must keep that spirit kindled inside us today, and fight for a free, open Aloria for everyone. Thank you.

Llachu Greenway Resigns After Election Debacle

- PLN/NLP lose 21 seats in the Senate
- Some in party blame the loss on Luxenberg Scandal
- Former cabinet minister Detlev Aberbach emerges as early front runner

Image
Llachu Greenway, who founded the PLN/NLP has resigned.

Founder of the PLN/NLP, Llachu Greenway has resigned as party leader after losing twenty-one seats in the Senate. In a short statement earlier today he admitted that the party would need to reconcile with the public after what he described as the Luxenberg Scandal had damaged their reputation. Many in the party believe that neither Greenway nor Luxenberg had not dealt with the matter quickly enough, and for that reason, the public perception of the PLN/NLP dropped.

Image
Most within the party attribute the election failure to the scandal surrounding Eleonore Luxenberg.

Already competition is building up over the new leader of the party. Luxenberg quickly ruled herself out, taking to Tweeter to state, "I do not believe it would be appropriate for me to run in the current circumstances." However it appears that Former Trade and Industry Minister, Detlev Aberbach, who has dodged any sort of crisis during his time in office has become the front runner. The promising PLN/NLP politician declared his candidacy shortly after Greenway resigned. As the only party member other than Luxenberg or Greenway to have ministerial experience, he has a high chance of winning.

Image
Former minister, Detlev Aberbach, is widely expected to become the new leader.

Further to that, he is not set to have many challengers, as it appears that only Emrys Reinhallt, one of the eight remaining senators, has also challenged for the role. The wealthy Senator, who represents Gavonshire, holds a similar perspective to Greenway, whereas Aberbach is slightly to the left of them both. This will most likely assist Reinhallt as there is currently no appetite within the party for a lurch to the left.

Image
The only other challenger will be wealthy Senator, Emrys Reinhallt.

The vote for the next leader will be available to the 80,000 strong membership.

PRESIDENT WEHNERT'S POSITION AS ALP LEADER IS 'UNTENABLE'

Well-known ALP Senator Folant Owen has publicly criticised President Wehnert, calling his position as ALP leader 'untenable'. During an interview on a political TV show this morning, Owen described the election results as a disaster - 'it means forming a cabinet is going to be a tough job, it will require another rainbow coalition'. The president has proposed a cabinet, which includes five parties. After the political turmoil caused by the dispute between the prime minister and the justice minister, the president called the early election in the hope he would be reelected and be able to form a government that would bring stability to Alorian politics. However, the election results have only added to the uncertainty, as it is unclear at this stage whether his cabinet proposal will pass. Senator Owens has said he is worried about how long any government that is formed will last. Owens made it clear he doesn't see Wehnert as a leader who is calm under pressure.

The election results will be a worry for the president, as his party suffered losses in every state, and in Cymertraeth they failed to win a seat. This should not be a surprise for the ALP though, considering a lot of the electorate will hold them responsible for the political turmoil that ensued earlier this year, as the president did make a lot of u-turns. A lot of ALP Senators will pin the blame for the ALP's disappointing results solely on the president. Despite this, one Senator said today that Wehnert is not to blame, as Wehnert was popular enough to be reelected as president so the rest of the party must take responsibility for the results in the legislative election. It is true that the presidential election was a success for the ALP, however they relied heavily on the endorsements of other parties, including the RSF, and Gerald Wehnert's approval ratings remain shockingly low.

Wehnert has just been reelected on an ALP ticket, so it would be a bold decision to step down now. It would require another election, and the ALP will be worried they would do even worse. There is another option for the president. He could step down from his role as ALP leader but continue his role as president. This would mean infighting within the ALP could be resolved as they could unite behind a new leader, and it would mean President Wehnert would not have any party ties, so would have more freedom in his role. However, unfortunately for the president, it would mean he would have less control over matters in the Senate. He wouldn't be able to control what bills the ALP propose. It does seem a case of when, not if, the president resigns.

65 000 PEOPLE PROTEST THE NEW CABINET BILL IN FRONT OF PARLIAMENT

The United Protest Front has declared the election results 'nightmare-ish' since the AFP is the biggest party in Parliament. Even more frightening is the fact that the AFP will control the Prime Minister position.

All of the RSF Senators joined the demonstration against the cabinet bill.

'We will oppose fascism in every way possible! We will not tolerate the AFP! We will win and we will defeat the fascists! It is high time we made our voice heard loud and clear! We are going to be on the streets everyday! We will initiate demonstrations, sit-ins, road-blocks, anti-AFP ads, total resistance! We will NOT submit to the fascists! We will not be silenced!'.

Chants as 'One, two, three - Smash the AFP!', 'Down with the government!', 'Shut it down!', 'NOT MY PRIME MINISTER!', 'Racist, Sexist, Anti-gay, AFP, Go away!', 'Bash the Fash!', 'Resignation!', 'One solution - Revolution!', 'Nazis out!', 'Nazis, go away!', 'F*** the AFP!' are being heard.

JOHN DECLARES ALL PARTIES MUST "PUT ALORIA FIRST"

"This is a great electoral victory for the AFP. Do not forget this," said AFP Leader Seth John. "It is obvious our uncompromising stance in the cabinet crisis has brought more of the vote to us. But government is still fractured. The far left continues to protest the very existence of the AFP. We must stand strong in the face of threats to the Alorian way of life."

The AFP has added 24 seats since the last election, now holding 129 spots in the Senate. In the mean time, AFP's usual partners the ALP and PLN/NLP have lost many seats, throwing those parties into chaos. However, the recent elections now give the AFP the chance to enter into a cabinet without the Labor Party. AFP-Labor relations have soured greatly in the last few years, so much so that it is hard to remember that in recent years Labor and the AFP were in a coalition together.

"We wish to move forward and get an agenda passed that respects the Alorian people. I ask the other parties in our planned coalition to come to the table and work with us on important legislation. We are all Alorians," said John. "Hard times will be ahead for forming a government and coming together to pass substantive legislative reform. But, we have the duty to do this. We also must stand by President Wehnert in this time of tumult. As his party goes into chaos, he must know that he has a friend in me, and in the rest of the AFP. We look to work with the president on important reforms to immigration and on holding a referendum on Aloria's membership in the Artanian Union before the next election."

John went on to say, "We are all Alorians, and we must now come together to make our country greater and stronger. We must come together to put Aloria first!"

PRESIDENT WEHNERT VOWS TO FIGHT ON AS LEADER

President Wehnert has promised to continue in the president's office and continue to lead the Alorian Libertarian Party. Gerald Wehnert has come under a lot of pressure since the election, with one ALP Senator calling his position as ALP leader untenable. It was thought Wehnert might have resigned from his role as ALP leader and continued to be president as an independent, however today Wehnert promised to continue in both roles for the foreseeable future. He said he wants to fight for the future of the country, and he echoed AFP Leader Seth John's Aloria First message, as he said 'I will never put party before country. I am in politics to make Aloria great again, and that is what I will do. We must put Aloria first!'

The president will now be hoping his party can unite behind him, and help him prove to the Alorian people he is capable of leading Aloria through turbulent times. As he announced his intention to stay as ALP leader, he also talked about the need for people to unite. He talked about the importance of national unity and patriotism. He said patriotism is a very useful way for people to unite as one. Citing recent positive economic figures, Wehnert said it is now time for Aloria to build on that success. He then said ordinary Alorian people would make the country great again - 'I must admit I was wrong earlier when I said I would make Aloria great again, because it won't be me who does that, it will be the Alorian people that make this country great again!'

Despite remaining as president and ALP leader, he did announce the ALP will have a new leader in the Senate. A big critic of President Wehnert's leadership, Folant Owen takes on the role of ALP Senate Leader.
