Aloria calls for "Democratic Coalition" to intervene in Dalibor

With Dalibor in the midst of an internal crisis, it was recently announced by Aldegar that they will be supporting the Dalibor military, named the Provisional Dalibor Administration (PDA). With tensions between Aloria and Aldegar already high, this could be seen by some as a cynical move by Aloria to gain the upper-hand by calling for allies to denounce the Aldegarian government's support for the PDA.

However, Aloria argues a "democratic coalition" will be most beneficial to peace and prosperity in Dalibor, saying a united front of nations such as Aloria, Dorvik and Indrala could be enough to sway the power in Dalibor. This is also an attempt by Aloria to improve its international status and prestige, with plans expected to be announced soon for military training centres to be constructed around Aloria, especially near the Alorian-Dorvish border.

On July 22nd 4703 Arthur Dusseldorf stood before the People's Assembly and said,

To the citizens of Aloria and their representatives here in the Assembly,
I, Arthur King of the Draddwyr, defender of the Faith, Protector of the Realm and King of Aloria am here today to declare an end to The Alorian Republic and the start of a new age for Aloria. From now on we are a sovereign and independent kingdom. No longer will Aloria stay on the sidelines of world politics, no longer will we be held back by inefficient republican bureaucracy. We will take our place on the world stage and begin a new golden age for our nation.We will seek to bring stability and prosperity to Aloria and co-operation between us and the rest of Terra. However should anyone seek to destroy this peace and stability internally or externally they will be met with no mercy and will be destroyed. Cause let no one be under any illusion that while we have no intentions of conflict or war, we will strike back if attacked.
A s a sign to the world of our good intentions my first act as King of Aloria is to propose that Aloria be denuclearized.

After five years of organising and planning the Alorian Commission to Supervise Nuclear Disarmament has finally been put before the People's Assembly. Now all that remains is for it to pass into being.
There have been many critics of dismantling Aloria's Nuclear Arsenal but the King has informed the Assembly and the people that this is to show all of Terra that Aloria has no intentions of starting conflicts with anyone. He is also a staunch believer that such weaponry are unnecessary in war as they are too destructive.

The Alorian Government has launch a commission to upgrade and reform the Alorian Armed Forces. While this move has to intention of making the AAF strong enough to invade our neighbours there have been many critics of this plan. Many state that the military should take priority over civil rights and economic problems. However our King has said that without a strong military other nations such as the Communist Republics could threaten us or even attack Alorian. He also stated that the AAF will not be hugely expanded unless deemed necessary.

The People's Assembly has approved a plan that will drastically increase the size of the Army. This is being thought of as a bad move due to the current corruption investigation. Our King came out to speak to the people and stated that this expansion was not for offensive use, He said that since communism is taking over many countries that Aloria if she is to survive needs a larger army to defend itself.

The Socialist Revolutionary Front wins the new elections

The new political party called Socialist Revolutionary Front (or simply SRF) wins in a landslide the elections held in January, 4735. The state of government had decayed since the neo-feudalist backwarded rule of the conservatives, who brought monarchy back into the nation after years of republicanism. The consequences were high levels of corruption even into the military, people ruling above law as the feudal system of serfdom was brought into legality once again and fiscal and monetary policies that had hurt the people. For this, the Socialist Revolutionary Front was created as an alternative to the collapsing rule of the king in Aloria. The nation had begun to crumble as political unrest had widely spread since the main conservative party collapsed in series of factions all fighting the power. The king lost all the credibility of the people and as such on December 4734, the SRF was found as a group of young people and intellectuals gathered around the country. Next, they would campaign for early elections, luckily they happened as the factions bickering over power could not form a valid government, and as such the Constitutional Court ruled in favor of new elections. People flocked in, voting for the new SRF or it's allies and other small leftist parties. Sadly though the turnouts were incredible low as people might lost the faith in democracy. Nevertheless, the Socialist Revolutionary Front promised hard work and as new party it has numerous plans for Aloria.

The first plans of the new SRF are to abolish the feudalist, outdated archaic and repulsive system that this nation had fallen into, as the current king, Arthur Dusseldorf, is an illegitimate ruler and will be called to abdicate, an act expected to happen on 4 September, alongside other main reforms onto constitutional reforms such as renaming of the nation, redefining the values and not only. The new Socialist Republic is expected to fully take place on 5 September 4735, under a brand new Constitution, the Constitution of 4735. The SRF chairman, Jacob Patel expressed that the revolution wont devolve into utter chaos or into an authoritarian regime and expressed his worry of how other far-left movements ended into a totalitarian society. The new party will promise to uphold the civil rights of the people and prevent abuses from both government and corporations.

It is yet to be seen how things will evolve, but many people are rejoicing the victory of SRF and hoping that the new Aloria is born and will provide for everyone equally a better future, filled with peace, prosperity and progress.

Liberale Partei shows signs of splitting

The Liberale Partei has shown signs of splitting following the recent general election.

The party is already split between socially liberal and socially conservative (economically liberal) branches, but on the whole it has usually been a unified body fighting for the restoration of the monarchy. The party has always been controlled by the social liberal faction which, despite minor arguments with the social conservative wing, has usually managed to keep the party on the straight and narrow. One thing that the party has never really disagreed on is so called "ethnic matters.". They have usually been a party for Draddwyrs, Dundorfians and other minorities, rather than focusing on one of the groups.

However, in the recent general election several well known Draddwyr nationalists, including one who called for the "destruction of inferior Dundorfians", were elected, which has split the party somewhat. Most of the Liberale Partei (44%) is Draddwyr, with the next biggest group being the Dundorfians (39%), the next biggest being Kirlawans (10%), and the rest (7%) other ethnic minorities.

Tensions between the Draddwyr and Dundorfians have been growing following the recent election, when a disproportionate amount of Dundorfians were apparently attacked by Draddwyr, and the republican Dundorfians have opposed the Monarchy (which the Prime Minister said would make the nation more "united"!), whereas Draddwyr supported the Monarchy.

The PM has said that he will try and get the two sides to come to a "peaceful agreement", but it is unknown whether this will work. According to a recent poll, 63% of the nation support the Monarchy, so the Dundorfians could end up getting destroyed...

Government forces through secularism bill

The Government has forced through a bill today, dubbed the "anti-religion bill" by it's opponents, that will forbid prayers in schools and will mean ministers of religion can't be paid for their work. It has all happened in the face of increasingly polarised relations between the Draddwyr population and the Dundorfian population.

It is suspected that Aloria will try and appease the Dundorfian population, as Dundorf neighbours our country, meaning that they may take action if the Dundorfians are mistreated or not appeased. This has led to some anger, with several Draddwyr nationalists (or anti-Dundorfian) parties taking control of councils in Cymertraeth, Sildar and Caermoel. We had an interview with the leader of one of these parties, the 'Draddwyr National Front', who said that they wish to see "Dundorfians gone; back to Dundorf."

The bill was greeted with support by atheist and non-religious members of society, as well as some religious ministers, including Bishop of the Alorian Church David Gething, who said "we are glad the state will not be involved in religion. We see ourselves as an independent body." However many religious people and figures have decried the bill, calling it "anti-religious", "attacking traditions" and even "fascist."
