President elect Simon Arslanian speaking on the allegations of opposition to democracy
Following the election of 5301, troubling news has arrived. The Revolutionary Front of Pontesi, a left wing socialist party ranging from Social Democrats to Kaminiskists to anything in between. Winning with a voter turnout of 16%. While normally such a thing would be abhorrent and not tolerated to allow a party full electoral victory, given the circumstances of Pontesi and the lack of organized opposition, the RFP was unchallenged. Many however have raised concerns regarding if the nations democracy will be shattered or not.
President elect Simon Arslanian has however, in his inauguration speech has already claimed the party will respect the democratic process.
Now, I know there are concerns regarding the democratic process and how we will handle it and allegations that we will end democracy. I want to tackle these allegations head on. Are we going to end democracy? No we are not. This much, i vow, the Revolutionary Front of Pontesi will ensure that the democratic process will be respected and protected. In the coming days, we will see the rights of the working class expanded, and an end to their exploitation. Pontesi will experience reforms like never before. While it's uncertain what will become of the party in the future due to the nature of a revolutionary front, but I assure you, whatever the case, democracy will remain.
With the new government set to be established, many critics have already bashed the RFP for its "lack of unity" and "tolerance of anti-democratic elements". While many expect a party Congress to be held in the near future to properly unite the party, this remains to be seen how it will go and until then, most can only hope for a good outcome for Pontesi
Whatever the case, a radical shift in politics has come to Pontesi, with a renewed social policy, economic and diplomatic policy.
