Incoming Dorvish FM: "Dankuk must stand-down."

Haldor, Kordusia - Incoming Dorvish Foreign Minister Domenikus Florian zu Zÿmern und Behm spoke today at a press conference related to his new posting as incoming Foreign Minister replacing the venerable Karlheinz Hans von Färber. The new Foreign Minister spoke regarding the issues facing Dorvik on the international stage, namely the proliferation of nuclear weapons and the rising claims and fabrications of arms and munitions, he also spoke briefly regarding the need for the Northern Council to meet and handle the on-going "Dankuk Question" once and for all. The Foreign Ministers speech was nearly two-hours long and is seen widely as the new stance of the Kingdom of Dorvik and is suspected to widely have the King and Kaiser's backing due to his internationalist stance. The Foreign Minister noted that "...more and more we are seeing countries claiming that they are producing and selling ICBMs but have nothing to back it. I simply state to these nations that if you claim to have ICBMs and our intelligence agencies find them. We will destroy them. The proliferation of nuclear weapons is absolutely tantamount to the preservation of peace and security throughout the world."

The Foreign Minister then spoke regarding the lack of regulation via the International Arms Trade Commission (IATC) which is responsible for reporting and regulating international arms sales. The Dorvish FM called on the organization to take a more active stance on the regulation of equipment as many countries are attempting to copy others and violating international copy-right laws. When pressed regarding specifics, the Dorvish FM refused to comment, however many speculate that the recent rise in "...over-glorification and overstatement of military capabilities is dangerous as well. The concept of war and the idea of sending sons and daughters to their deaths because an enemy perceives you as far more a threat than you are...is a problem. We need the International Arms Trade Commission to step up and ensure that these types of issues are not arising."

Towards the end of the press conference Foreign Minister zu Zÿmern und Behm spoke regarding a renewed involvement of Dorvik on the world stage. The FM called for expanded actions within the Northern Council and asked the Foreign Ministry to study the "Dankuk Question" which appears to have rumors and reports of potential nuclear weapon exchanges. The Foreign Minister flatly stated that the treaties and pacts with Dankuk would be suspended and any treaty, pact or association that Dankuk and Dorvik were in joint-agreement to, the Dorvish would suspend cooperation until further notice. This is widely seen as a shift to try and gain Indrala as a partner, especially in the Northern Council as a means to counter a resurgent Trigunia. Whatever the new Foreign Ministers ideology is, the Dorvish Kingdom is about to enter into a new era of domestic and foreign policy.

The first and last Dorvish Workers' Party State Chancellor?

Haldor, Kordusia - As State Chancellor Diethelm Tanais von Schleskau (Dorvish Workers' Party) is sworn in as the first Dorvish Workers' Party State Chancellor, he might also be its last, the Dorvish Workers' Party's internal memo that was leaked earlier last month might have proved to be true. The Main Administration Office of the Dorvish Workers' Party announced that an investigation would take place into the leak but some political experts suspect it was a ruse to see if interest could be drummed up prior to the snap elections in January 4353. Reports are now that the Main Administration Office has confirmed that the Dorvish Workers' Party will become the All-Dorvish League (Dundorfian: All-Dorvischer Verband; ADV) in a move that is heavily sponsored by the Volksdundorfische Cultural Association and it's new found membership within the Dorvish Workers' Party. While many suspect that the new entrance of the VDKV into the DAP will see this State Chancellor be a rump State Chancellor until another can be put into place, it's unlikely.

State Chancellor von Schleskau unleashed a wide program aimed at what he calls "Restoration of Dorvish Authority" which calls for wide ranging domestic reform in the realm of police and security services, improving world wide outreach as well as generally being more active in the world community. The State Chancellor was seen leaving for Konigsheim, the primary palace of the Dorvish King and Kaiser, who now sits as the honorary head of the Dundorfian Reich which restored the Kaiser late last year. It is reported that the Dorvish and Dundorfian governments are drafting a confederate treaty to represent this new "Fourth Reich" as a loose coalition of modern Dundorfian states. The State Chancellor and the government of Dorvik have remained tight lipped regarding this whole thing likely due to the fact that it is not yet complete.

Perhaps more interesting is that the State Chancellor at his inauguration stated that the Dorvish Armed Forces underneath their new Minister of Defense, Inspector-General and Chief of Staff Generaloberst Valtin zu Völksau-Heusmann would stage a massive military parade on 1 March 4353 as a "...show of domestic and foreign prosperity and security." The State Chancellor said that the Supreme General Staff had approached the State Chancellor to-be and asked for the permission, while not necessary, the State Chancellor agreed. The King and Kaiser is likely to take the stage as Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Dorvik and a reserve Dorvish Navy officer. The State Chancellor also announced a push for the use and restoration of the Artanian Union and the renewed interest in the International Development Bank which was founded decades ago after the financial crisis.

Regardless if this State Chancellor is the first or last Dorvish Workers' Party State Chancellor, he is going to be remembered for a vigorous program of revival for the Dorvish people and state.

Hertzinger: "This situation pains me deeply"

HALDOR - Leader of the Communist Revolutionary Party Joseph Hertzinger held a press conference shortly after his speech to the General Assembly.
In his statement he stated that "the situation [in Dorvik] pains me deeply, but something has to be done about it."
He was reffering to his recent plea for international aid in fighting against government's restrictive policies on opposition forces.
The 76 year old who was elected to the State Council in recent election said that he takes no joy or pride in the situation Dorvik has to face.
He pointed out that his party never tried to restrict anyone's political freedoms for the sake of their agenda, attacking the Dorvish Worker's Party for not following the same path.
We yet await responses from the International Community, but Hertzinger seems to be hoping for the GA's support.

Vanuku whimpers into obscurity

Haldor, Kordusia - Minister of Foreign Affairs Domenikus Florian zu Zÿmern und Behm spoke today regarding the ever developing political situation in Vanuku which has seen the collapse of the monarchy and the outright destruction of the former Vanukuean Kingdom. The Foreign Minister spoke today with a rather somber tone in which he reflected on the years of friendship and cooperation with the Vanukuean state and how that has come to close due to the new rise of "...radical militant republicanism within the world once more." The Foreign Minister also spoke at length regarding the temporary suspension of diplomatic affairs between the Kingdom of Dorvik and the new rump Vanukuean state. zu Zÿmern und Behm noted that the Dorvish intelligence community was closely watching the outcome of the collapse and publicly stated that the Dorvish Kingdom would be welcome to any refugees of the collapsing Vanukuean state and would welcome them as "...true brothers and sisters."

All-Dorvish League performs well in first election
October, 4353

Haldor, Kordusia - The Dorvish government announced snap General Elections following the collapse of the morally absent and corrupt Communist Revolutionary Party, which was met with scores of Dorvish people celebrating in the streets and general jubilation due to dominance of the New Era and now All-Dorvish League. The elections, slated for October were met with success as the All-Dorvish League gained 268 seats in the State Council and overall performed incredibly well; despite losing the title of the largest party to their allies in the New Era political party. It is expected that the coalition that is currently in-place will remain unless unforeseen circumstance cause a change.

After dissolving two years prior, the Conservatives have announced they are re-forming



Former education secretary, Michael Fabian has announced the Conservatives are reforming and "will act as a force for good." Fabian who previously led the party said "now is the time more than ever for a moderate force in Dorvish politics, and I leading the Conservatives will do just that!" Fabian is set to announce his new frontbench team, with both old and new faces expected. He has called on the Chancellor to call an election in order to provide the Dorvish people with a choice of "change or continuity."

State Chancellors response to KRA: "No."
April 4354

Haldor, Kordusia - State Chancellor Diethelm Tanais von Schleskau responded today to a call for early elections by the recently returned Conservative and Reformist Alliance by symbolically stating "No." in a press conference. The State Chancellor elaborated on the response by stating: "We've finally achieved stability in Dorvik and a party that could not even keep itself together is asking for us for an early election. We cannot agree in good conscious, the Dorvish people have spoken and out of three parties, the Dorvish people elected the New Era and All-Dorvish League. We've formed a stable government and Dorvik has never been more prosperous. The Dorvish people do not want "change or continuity." they want stability and we have that." The State Chancellor spoke to welcoming the KRA back to the political scene but stated that it had "...long changed in their absence." and that the KRA needed to understand the need for conservative and right-wing forces to ever be more united in the face of a former Communist and Socialist threat.

Legislative coup for the State Chancellor

Haldor, Kordusia - State Chancellor Diethelm Tanais von Schleskau left the Petrov building today as a victor as he was able to pass several important pieces of legislation, including the "Law of Authorization for the Protection of the Volksdundorfische Cultural Association" which allows the culturally, politically and economically important Volksdundorfische Cultural Association to act with protections within and outside of Dorvik. A huge victory for the State Chancellor and the All-Dorvish League's platform was the successful passage of the "Law on Infrastructure" which allowed the Dorvish government to fund a direct program to build Dorvish infrastructure. While the State Chancellor and the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport noted that the Dorvish infrastructure was not near the level of disrepair it was "...decades ago. We can always improve and build better." The Infrastructure and Transport Minister, Heiko Koegel (also Deputy Chairman of the All-Dorvish League), stated that the Dorvish government was investigating a state-funded program which aimed at reducing unemployment and worked in a public-private sphere. Following the legislative coup was the diplomatic coup where the State Chancellor, with the help of the New Era political party and its leadership, entered into the Artanian Economic Community as well as the Narikaton Expanded Economic Cooperation Zone which means further cooperation with Artanian nations.

Minister of Trade and Industry brings together Dorvish trade unions
October, 4354

Haldor, Kordusia - Minister of Trade and Industry Constantin von Desidier met today with the Dorvish Union Council, a collection of union representatives to the Dorvish government that seek to work to ensure legislation and support for Dorvish workers. The meeting today brought out large support for right-wing unions such as the All-Dorvish Trade Union Association (Dundorfian: Alldorvischer Gewerkschaftsverband; ADGSV or ADGV), the Lorman Trade Union League (Dundorfian: Lormanische Gewerkschaftsverband; LGSV), the Northern Trade Union Association (Dundorfian: Nördlicher Gewerkschaftsverband; NGSV) and several other dozen of the largest trade unions within the Dorvish state. The Ministry of Trade and Industry has worked hard to ensure that violent and disruptive Socialist and Communist trade unions remain non-existent or remain incredibly small. The Dorvish Union Council voted unanimously to ensure that Socialist and Communist trade unions are not harmful to the Dorvish worker; going one step short of outlawing them entirely. The Minister of Trade and Industry also spoke today regarding his future and stated he will serve until further notice but he was actively exploring retirement from political life.
