Ministry of the Interior announces crackdown on cults after recent legislation

Haldor, Kordusia - Newly minted Minister of the Interior Liebhard Anton von und zu Czimnetz spoek today at a press conference alongside Chief of Dorvish Police Florian von Auspitz-Topol, State Security Director Arvandus Alaric von Schleskau and various other Interior Ministry officials and State Criminal Police regarding a crackdown on the rise of Hosian cults that have sprung up over the past decade within Dorvik. The Minister of the Interior stated that "...religious freedom is an absolute fact of life in Dorvik, however, dangerous and radical cults seek to undermine our way of life and our democracy, they cannot be tolerated." When questioned the Minister of the Interior did not provide precise details but the Chief of Dorvish Police Florian von Auspitz-Topol stated that the crackdown had already begun and some of the various cults leaders had already been arrested.

Dorvish Police were observed leading raids throughout Dorvik on various houses of worship on some of these dangerous cults, one such raid took place on the Hosian cult "Children of the Spirit" which the State Security Service has had under surveillance and investigation for cult-like activities and potentially domestic terrorism. The State Security Service has began to become very active in Dorvik since the appointment of State Security Director Arvandus Alaric von Schleskau and has worked hard to regain their image after years of neglect and mismanagement under previous governments. Chief of Department "B", Hauptsicherheitsführer Regismund Odacer von Faust-Essen, the Religious and Cult Intelligence department of the State Security Service has remained relatively quiet about his departments activities, however released a statement that the State Security Service was working hard to ensure that the Dorvish people were secure.

The Minister of the Interior stated that "...important reforms were coming to Dorvish administration following the likely passing of the Law on the Administrative Reform of the Dorvish Republic".

SNP Foreign Affairs Committee holds press conference.

Haldor, Kordusia - A relatively recent formation, the SNP Foreign Affairs Committee is made up of a strategic core of military, diplomatic, party and business officials associated with the Social Nationalist Party. At it's head is storied diplomatic official protege Wilhelm Franz von Bahr and SNP foreign affairs expert Karlheinz Hans von Färber who spoke today regarding Dorvik's place in the world and immediately, the big guns began to fire with their goals and intentions for Dorvik. Wilhelm Franz von Bahr stated that he would pursue a renewed interest in the Artanian Union, an institution which is as success as it is mostly due to Dorvish muscle and willpower behind it. Bahr stated that the various "Leave" movements stemmed from previous governments paranoia and the fact that they were intimidated by the structure of the Artanian Union and building long-lasting, diplomatic relations with fellow states. Bahr stated that he's conducted several studies on the Artanian Union and hes noted in his recent thesis that "...the Artanian Union poses limited if not any threat to Dorvish or any Artanian nations sovereignty." and Bahr has stated that as the State Secretary of Foreign Affairs, the top deputy to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, that the Artanian Union will be his first priority in restoring Dorvish influence in Artania.

Shortly after Bahr spoke, the SNP's foreign affairs expert Karlheinz Hans von Färber spoke regarding international affairs notably the Northern Council which he considers to be second to re-joining and re-establishing the Artanian Union. Karlheinz Hans von Färber stated that the Northern Council is integral to success of the Dorvish state and that if appointed as the representative to the Northern Council he would work tirelessly to re-build relations with Kazulia and Hutori notably.

Dorvish Armed Forces hope massive, nation-wide exercises

Dorvik - Underneath the auspices of Inspector-General Generaloberst Reinhard Regismund von Rohr-Mauss the Dorvish Armed Forces have held their largest nation-wide wargames exercises at the precise moment that hostilities have broken out between Darnussia and Narikaton and Malivia. The Dorvish Armed Force's began their exercise shortly before the outbreak of a border class between Malivian and Darnussia/Narikaton exchanged fire across their border, leaving casualties on each side. The Inspector-General noted at his appointment speech that the Dorvish Armed Forces would conduct such exercises but with the recent outbreak of hostilities, it seems that this was also a show of force for the Dorvish people and nation. The exercises were to take place over two weeks, and focused on a wide variety of missions, including massive paratrooper drills conducted by the feared and elite Dorvish Fallschirmjäger which saw the Dorvish Air Force's elite Fallschirmjäger force drop behind enemy lines and conduct high efficiency search and destroy missions on enemy leadership, command posts and communications. The Dorvish Fallschirmjäger are considered the special forces of the Dorvish Air Force and have continued to operate at a high readiness level due to their rapid reaction force capability and their often ambitious leadership style.

Meanwhile the Dorvish Navy conducted their largest exercise off the frigid Northern coasts of Dorvik with all manner of Dorvish fleets involved. Inspector-General Generaloberst Reinhard Regismund von Rohr-Mauss commended newly minted Inspector of the Dorvish Navy Generaladmiral Kersten Donhauser on the efforts to bring the Dorvish Marine up to par where it previously had been. The Dorvish Marine focused on live-fire exercises, namely targeting and destroying coastal batteries and anti-ship missile launchers but also focused on strategic strikes on enemy leadership and command positions. The Dorvish Marine would later shift gears to the destruction of large enemy formations as it became necessary, in the high stress environment, opposition forces played by other Dorvish Marine personnel and ships, provided an attacking OPFOR while the Dorvish Marine shifts worked to provide support to ground and air forces and conduct anti-ship warfare. The Inspector of the Dorvish Navy Generaladmiral Kersten Donhauser stated that the "...Dorvish sailors had performed well, we have a lot to improve on but a lot went better than expected. We'll continue to do our duty to Sacred Dorvik and protect our shores, at home and abroad."

The Dorvish Air Force practiced their dog-fighting and re-supply capabilities, limited information was provided regarding the Dorvish Air Force's operations during these nation-wide exercises but Dorvish Air Force bases were placed on the highest readiness status and all Air Force personnel were re-called and activated. The Dorvish Armed Forces have been surging with conscripts as state service was re-instituted in Dorvik, filling the ranks with thousands of willing conscripts to begin their service to the Dorvish Republic.

More arrests by Interior Ministry

Dorvik - Minister of the Interior Liebhard Anton von und zu Czimnetz announced earlier this week the arrest of the senior leadership of several radical Hosian cults within Dorvik, notably the senior leadership of Hosian cults which had been registered by the State Security Service's Department "B" as a domestic terrorist organization, which has lead to a mass of Dorvish citizens either quitting the cult or being arrested. Hauptsicherheitsführer Regismund Odacer von Faust-Essen, Chief of Department "B", has stated that the SSD was interested in re-education for those arrested, believing that they would be better served in the hands of the religious community themselves rather than in-prison. Efforts have been underway by the Independent Confessional Church of Dorvik and their senior leadership to work with former and current members of these radical Hosian cults and reform them or further notify the SSD that they are not able to be re-educated.

Conservatives to under swift party reforms
Leader Riemann calls for reforms to make conservatives more electable



Leader of the Conservative and Reformist Alliance Katarina Riemann has shut down calls for her resignation after three successive elections losing seats. One senior party figure spoke to the DNS claiming her position was "untenable" and that a leadership challenge was "imminent." Riemann has dismissed claims, speaking in the Times she wrote "my aim is rebuilding the party, reviewing policies and making the party electable to government again - when I have achieved that, then my job will be done." Murdo Hössler has resigned as deputy leader, saying in a statement "I am proud of what I have achieved in office as deputy leader, transport, defence and finance secretary and commend our leader Katarina Riemann, who I pledged my full support behind."

Katarina Riemann is set to make the party more appealing to the young, investing in education and improving the state and means of housing. She will also undergo a shadow cabinet reshuffle, tipped to promote newer members of the state council.

Dorvish re-enter likely into the AU after serious campaigning by FM and FM officials

Haldor, Kordusia - State Secretary of Foreign Affairs Wilhelm Franz von Bahr spoke today at a press conference after leaving a session of the State Council where the official ratifaction of the Artanian Union was voted on. The joining process is expected to take roughly 6 months, placing the Dorvish Republic into the Artanian Union in roughly May 4335. State Secretary von Bahr heralded the vote as a major success and win for the Dorvish people, he stated that the entrance of the Dorvish Republic into the Artanian Union would lead to another major economic boon and that Dorvish leadership in Artanian was integral to the sphere of influence that the Dorvish once cast over Artania. State Secretary von Bahr noted that the success of recent legislature and turn of fortunes of the Dorvish Republic could not have come at a better time, the Dorvish people are teeming with confidence after a period of isolationism and governmental instability. The State Secretary commented that while the coalition was not perfect in the eyes of his own party, he understood that things needed to come together in order for the Dorvish people to be able to work together. He commended President Erwin Simons and Foreign Minister Alena Rike Bachmann, both of the allied 'Our Party' on their efforts on re-building Dorvik's image abroad and stated that "...Dorvik has many years of success due to the leadership of this nation currently."

Terran Positioning System satellite launched

Haldor, Kordusia - Minister of Science and Technology Wolfdietrich Otte, a former General-Director for the Dorvish Aerospace Service, announced today that the Terran Positioning System (TPS) a series of satellites which acts as a global navigation satellite system that provides geolocation and time information to a TPS receiver anywhere on or near the Earth where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. The Terran Positioning System, known as TPS for short, is one of the first civilian available global positioning systems available to date. The Terran Positioning System was the brainchild of then General-Director Wolfdietrich Otte while he was serving as the head of the Dorvish Aerospace Service. The Terran Positioning System is focused on providing accurate global navigation throughout the world and the Minister of Science and Technology stated that the "...Dorvish government and people are underneath the belief that this new system will enhance our navigation throughout the world." The Dorvish continue to innovate in the area of space and outer space technology, as the first country on the moon, the Dorvish have continually worked to provide the greatest understanding of what they call the "Great Unknown".

The Minister also stated that he was working on a cooperation agreement to build and operate an international space station, one of the first countries to push for such a venture.

Annika Bäcker,The DSU MP For Schlandseruck City,has expressed criticism of the Government"s Policy on CoTS,She stated that the Government"s Decision to Initiate A Crackdown on it,"Harms the Freedoms of Dorvikians".Though She stated that Certain Activities of the Group are Radical and Not Acceptable in Mainstream Political and Social Discussions,She said that the Feelings of 9 Million Dorvikians should be Taken into Consideration,She also Noted that the Organisation is spread in all parts of the Nation and the Government would not be able to destroy it.She also said that Many Children of the Spirits Member are generally Moderate and do not engage in any activity which would concern authorities.

She requested the Government not to Jump the Gun and act with Caution and that it should only target those Children of the Spirits Members who engage in illegal activities.

"Artanian problems are for Artanian nations, not Valruzian."

Haldor, Kordusia - Dorvish State Secretary of Foreign Affairs Wilhelm Franz von Bahr spoke today at a press conference where he blatantly stated that "Artanian problems are for Artanian nations, not Valruzian." The fiery words come as Dorvik seeks to re-build it's regional hegemony in Artania, having recently rejoined the Artanian Union. The State Secretary mentioned that several of the "treaties" that the Valruzian government had mentioned, were dead in the water and nations were considering withdrawing, including Dorvik itself. "Many of these "treaties" that are being mentioned are dead in the water, they are no longer relevant. Valruzia needs to focus on itself and it's own continent, a small power such as Valruzia should see to its own affairs. Dorvik and Artania are working towards peace, however, the interference of Artanian affairs is both troublesome and dangerous. We've worked hard to simmer tensions between our nations but their injection in Artanian politics is simply unacceptable. Our advice to them? Work on Seleyan politics and we'll handle our own house." The State Secretary's comment come at a time when the largest political party, the National Socialist Union folded and it's membership resigned itself in the State Council. The call for early elections, likely to be held within the coming month or so, will see a test of the rapid capabilities of the Social Nationalist Party's election and campaign team.

Dorvik offers peace conference for Malivia and Darnussia & Narikaton

Haldor, Kordusia - Despite comments made by the Valruzian "power-players" the Dorvish State Secretary of Foreign Affairs Wilhelm Franz von Bahr has announced that he has sent word to both the Malivian and Darnussian and Narikaton governments. The State Secretary noted that the "...breach of peace in Artania is always unwelcome. Artania remains one of the few stable continents, with a consistent history of long-periods of peace." The State Secretary refused to comment on the Valruzian government's claims to prosperity and military prowess, the State Secretary merely reminded those questioning that the Dorvish were widely recognized as military innovators and that the Valruzian military would be unlikely to mount any serious offensive operations from their position on Seleya. "We're well aware of what Valruzia is claiming, however, we are also aware that the Valruzians are living in a pipe dream. A world where Valruzia is considered a "regional power" is a fictional world, they are a small power and I hope that they understand their place in the world."

The State Secretary however did note that the Valruzian's once again got history wrong, by the own admission of the Malivian government, their troops crossed into Darnussia and Narikaton, prompting the skirmish. "I am sure that Valruzian border security, if such thing exists, would defend their territorial sovereignty if it was violated. The actions that the Valruzian government has taken, notably to alter facts to fit their agenda, is worrying." The State Secretary also went on to mention that "Dorvik has never, nor will ever claim to be a superpower. This is again, a classic example of Valruzian inventing facts to support their own position."
