Anti-communism takes upon a new face

It's been a time since the Third Position (Not Left Nor RIght) has entered into the National Spotlight, a collection of reasons behind including the anti-Yeudi National Socialists stigmatizing the Third Position. But recently a new Conservative party, calling itself the Conservative Workers Party, has registered after a few months of preparing through out the Conservative Working-class. A number of high & politically involved Trade Unions have recently joined into the National Union, founded by the K.A.P., in order to support these new efforts toward both social conservatism and social economics. Along with making it very clear to the far-left that the workers have other options. While some in the Aurorian Patriarchal Church have critized the party for being too negative on property rights and those on the left, socialist and liberal, have decryed the party for being too socially conservative on a number of issues. Such as gay marriage, which the party's taken a hard line stance that marriage is between one man and one woman only. Regardless of it's opponents the new political organization is gaining traction among younger disillusioned Hosians, Nationalists, Social Conservatives, and even some of the more moderate elements of the currently existing National Socialist Workers Party.

Along with the National Union and the new party, there is also a News Publication that is beginning to publish regularly. The Neue Repubilik, as stated in it's own description, is a "Worker-advocating, socially communitarian, and principled online News Letter focusing upon politics and principled politics at that..." It has published a wide variety of articles, some co-authored by normal people, which tackle issues ranging from LGBTQ rights, freedom, democracy, and more. It has began to be supported by individuals' donations and praised by similar right-leaning publications.

As this new political force, there is a bright future ahead. It is now our jobs as Dundorfians to watch and allow for the political arena to show us what these young Conservatives are made of.

HALDOR CENTRAL STATION ATTACK!

At 6:00 hours this morning a metro train crashed on a improvised explosive device within the train tunnel. The train lost its grip of the track and crashed into the wall of the tunnel. In the bomb attack over 30 Dorvish citizens died with a Valruzian tourist family of 5 also being killed. An additional 40 train passengers were injured.

Within minutes medical and security personel arrived at the scene. Moments after they arrived 5 masked man with hosian crosses painted in white on their masks entered the central metro station with heavy caliber rifles and other equipment. They opened fire on everyone they could see. Killing another 50 civilians and around 12 police officers who were at the scene. An additional 200 wounded were reported by authorities with the number suspected to rise. 1 of the terrorists was shot dead during the firefight with police. The other 4 managed to escape through the train tunnels after police had a hard time reaching the metro station after the partial collapse of the main tunnel because of the initial explosion.

Police investigated the body and found the same hosian cross brandmark in the forehead of the terrorist as seen during the DCS depot raid. The police also found a small pocketbook with the HPF manifesto written in it. The weapon used by the terrorist was traced back to the DCS depot further connecting dots in the investigation.
This confirms month long suspicions of the HPF being the masterminds behind the DCS raid. Somewhat expectedly the HPF has gone silent. Their HQ in Miktar is abandoned and hundreds of homes of their members left without anyone living in them. There are even reports of an entire village called Einseldorf being completely abandoned with all its residents (registered HPF members) being gone.
Estimates of the total number of HPF members are around 60.000 members at this point. Most members are of the male gender and a big amount of military veterans are also rumoured to be in their ranks.
JAGER has not been seen since the HPF Takramit 2 days ago. Analysts that have rewatched the Takramit came to a cruel discovery. JAGER hinted to the attack within his speech. We will let you see the paragraph in which he hinted to this cruel act.

And let us not be fooled by the false believers! The people that want to corrupt our society and religion with the weak and non believers! The people that think we can all live together! We can not! We will not! This nation has been build on Hosianism and we will keep it Hosianist! We will end the free movement of the non and fake believers! We will force them to stay in their little houses so that hosianism can prevail in the streets!

With the HPF found guilty of the terrorist attack and the entire organization presumably going underground the president responded to this event just now.

This is a day of immense tragedy. We have witnessed one of the most cruel and misplaced attacks in Dorvish history. The killing of dozens of innocent civilians and serviceman in the heart of Dorvik. I would like to offer my most sincere condolences to the family and other relatives of the people killed today and i think i speak in the name of all Dorvish citizens. This should not have happened. I am as shocked as most of you are that such a thing can happen in Dorvik. We have waited to long. We have stayed ignorant for to long. Starting from today i will no longer wait. We will no longer stand idle while violent groups take a grip over Dorvik. I hereby declare war against the HPF and everyone and everything associated with it. I will ask parliament to vote in favour of a bill that will send the Dorvish military to the south in order to flush out this terrorist organization. Because let me be clear. The HPF does not symbolize the great Hosianist faith. They only symbolize fear and terror. Something that does not go well with hosianism. In addition to the request i will send to parliament i have already deployed every available asset of both the DNIA and DMIO in both the south and north to find and monitor the HPF and all its assets. The DMIO has also deployed several field agents at my command to arrest alledged HPF supporters that have not legally joined the organization in order to interogate them. The security level will be changed to "imminent" meaning that an increased presence of Military police and regular police will be clearly visible on the streets of our nation. We mourn the dead but we will not give up. Let us not be taken over by fear. Let us unite to defeat the corrupt souls that did this to our great nation. Thank you.

THE ABANDONED SOUTH

In the south the situation gets more desperate every second. Since the attack the HPF members have left their homes for the underground with their leader JAGER reportedly preparing for a guerrilla war.
But after the announcement of a possible troop incursion of the dorvish military within southern lands it where not only HPF members that left or barricaded themselves. After the announcement of the president many southern seccesionists saw this as a final attempt by the central government to "silence the south" many seccesionists have now picked up arms and barricaded their homes determined not to give in to the army if and when it comes. Around 10 million southern citizens are actively engaged within a seccesionist movement and all of them have voiced their concern.

While their are many southeners who condemn the actions of the HPF and agree that a military incursion might be necessary those southeners have been harassed by seccesionists with their homes being marked with graffiti saying "TRAITOR" or "HERE LIVES A NORTHERN SPY".
With all these events happening the streets of the major city's in the south are desserted. No sound is to be heard and only occasionaly does someone walk on the streets or drive through town. The south feels abandoned not only in their mind but also in their streets. With the south being split and deserted out of fear we wonder how this episode will end and what the next move of both the politicans in Haldor and the HPF will be.

The TGP controlled southern regional governments have urged the president for a limited intervention in order to appease the south.

We want every dorvish citizen to feel comfortable with any actions inside our territory. Since we see many southern supporters feeling uncomfortable with the idea of soldiers on their streets we urge the president to keep the amount of troops in the south limited so that the sovereignty of the south will remain respected and intact

This puts the president in a dificult situation. With his party defending the southern sovereignty and him wanting to eradicate the HPF as soon as possible he has to make a balanced decision in order to appease both sides.

One Dorvik: The HPF Don't Represent The South

The Leader of One Dorvik, Bianca Heilprin, has told reporters that the HPF 'are the antithesis of everything the South stands for'. In comments that resulted in widespread acclaim, she continued to condemn these attacks. The result of the attacks, which killed over 80 people, has been public dismay and disbelief. Shock has consumed most of the population, as these attacks seem surreal and out of the blue. All major religions have declared a day of mourning as have the state and national governments. Bianca Heilprin echoed these actions by asking her party team to hold a minute's silence after the attacks. She also stated that her thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the attack and their families.

Southern feelings of dissatisfaction has swelled under the presidency of Sally Gretchen, climaxing at a referendum the unionists won by only six points. There are fears that the South is turning more and more to violent action to gain independence, although support for a violent breakaway is close to non-existent outside of HPF circles. The majority of Southern people were dismayed and angered by these events, and stood in solidarity with the victims. In Zitadelle, a memorial to the Valruzian family of five has been constructed. Images of the family have been placed in the city centre, alongside flowers, cards and crosses. One image of a single cuddly toy amongst the memorial went viral today.

There are plans to build a giant memorial to the victims, and all political leaders will be invited to its opening. The South has felt abandoned due to its agricultural ways, its conservative values and its general differences. But today, the South united with the North in condemning terror, and even the most active secessionists told us at DNS that it was 'not the time to talk about secession in the wake of a tragedy. Images of HPF members being thrown out of secessionist clubs have gone viral, and the major secessionist groups have disavowed any members with HPF ties. The HPF now plots in darkness, but the government and the people are united in an effort to route them out and bring them to justice.

Don't let the South go up in flames, warns Weinreich

Communist leader Anton Weinreich gave an interview this morning in which he repeatedly warned the government against "over-reacting" to the threat posted by the Hosian Preservation Front (HPF), and followed this up later in the day with a speech in parliament, where he said:

We completely and utterly condemn the heinous terrorist attack on Haldor Central Station, and offer our fullest sympathy for the victims and their loved ones.

Nevertheless, we must question the wisdom of responding to this incident with a military intervention involving 10,000 armed soldiers. Is this really the best way to root out the Hosian Preservation Front (HPF)? Isn't there a risk such a heavy-handed approach will go down the wrong way with southerners, and maybe even be counter-productive? Bear in mind that the key to defeating a group like HPF is through good intelligence, which means we need citizens - southerners, especially - to be very vigilant and report suspicious behaviour to the authorities. If we alienate these people with our approach, this could make them less willing to be supportive and co-operative.

Wouldn't it be better to let the intelligence services and the police take the main lead on this? There is no reason why the military should not be asked to help with specific operations, where that is necessary, but I cannot see the case for anything like the sizeable military intervention being proposed here.

In interviews he has granted since, he has again emphasised the need for what he calls "an intelligence-led operation against the HPF" and warned that "with sentiment in the South the way it is right now, pouring in all of these soldiers wearing highly visible uniforms and carrying heavy-duty weapons could be like pouring oil on a fire; in all sincerity, right now I'm worried we could see the whole South go up in flames".


Herman Faust-Essen blasts "hideous invasion of the South"

Herman Faust-Essen, the Communist MP and prominent southern separatist, has hit out at the government's proposed military intervention in Largonia and Miktar, say it would "inevitably be experienced as a humiliating and hideous invasion of the South by the North". More controversially, he accused President Theodore Aswalt of "politicising the Dorvish military by inappropriately using it for his own domestic political agenda" and "turning Dorvish soldiers against Dorvish citizens".


Bishops unite in condemnation of "Hosian" terrorism

The Dorvish bishops of the Aurorian Patriarchal Church and Independent Confessional Church have released a joint statement, condemning the actions of the HPF as "wholly alien to the values of the Hosian faith" and pledging "to do everything we can to work with Dorvik's communities, Hosian and non-Hosian, to bring healing, understanding and reconciliation".

Heilprin Calls Government Action 'Extreme' And 'Counterproductive'



Bianca Heilprin, co-leader of One Dorvik, has called the actions of the government - reintroducing the death penalty and mobilising the military in the south - as 'extreme, counterproductive and backwards'. Heilprin particularly called out the reintroduction of the death penalty. She called the actions 'a display of backwards thinking and counter-productivity', and said the government was 'aggravating and martyring extremist elements in the South'. Martyring the terrorists is a major concern of many to the reintroduction of the death penalty, and many in the South see it as an exception that would not be made for northern terrorists, worsening Southern isolation and making the South angrier.

Heilprin called on the President to 'bring people together rather than separate them with force'. The action of mobilising the military in the south is considered by some to be a form of isolating the South and treating it like a foreign country or a colony that is incapable of solving its own problems. Public opinion in the South is split, although a large amount of Dorvish people do support these actions and support the government, in the South and the North and on the Left and the Right. One Dorvik and the Communists have been particularly critical of the government actions, with members of the Communist Party also having said the government was 'overreacting' and one MP called it a 'hideous invasion of the South'.

In other news, the Communist have proposed a bill to end titles of nobility being handed out, having support from One Dorvik and the National Socialists. Leopold Fric, the other co-leader of One Dorvik, has announced he will not be active on the national stage for a while due to his wife's ongoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. Members of all political parties have wished her and him well and his co-leader Heilprin said she hopes and is 'praying for quick recovery'. Monuments to the dead from the terrorist attack have been commissioned across the country, with a gift from the people of Zitadelle in Largonia having been given to the town from which the dead Valruzian family originated from.

HFE invites Ataraxian Confederation to set up commune in Dorvik

Wealthy aristocrat Herman Faust-Essen, the eccentric Communist MP and southern independence supporter popularly known by his initials as "HFE", has written to the radical socialist and transhumanist Ataraxian Confederation (OOC: See here and here), inviting them to set up an Ataraxian commune on his landed estate in southern Largonia. In his letter, he expresses his "deep respect for the achievements of the Ataraxian Confederation, and everything Dr. Vimal Parish and so many others have accomplished" and says he would be "very excited to help the Confederation to establish a commune here in Dorvik". He writes he regrets he would not be able to take up permanent residence in the commune himself due to his parliamentary and other responsibilities, but says he would still "love to take part in any way I can" and claims to "personally know a number of Dorvish citizens in Largonia and elsewhere who would jump at the chance to join Dorvik's first Ataraxian commune".

HFE's wealthy neighbours are not at all pleased with the invitation. A number have written letters to the local newspaper, denouncing the Ataraxians as "damned hippies", "socialist nutters", "dangerous left-wing cultists" and "revolutionary ideologues with anti-Hosian and anti-Dorvish values".

Doubts have also been expressed about the wisdom of the Ataraxian Confederation setting up a commune in the troubled Largonia province at a time when the military is on the verge of taking on the Hosian Preservation Front, but HFE has tried to reassure Dr. Parish that "everything is perfectly calm around here, where I live" and that "the presence of an Ataraxian commune here would have a positive affect on the area, reducing tensions and raising the consciousness of the population to a higher and more progressive level".

Saudek: "Dorvik needs a liberal alternative".


HALDOR - In a recent interview political activist Theresa Saudek stressed the importance of having a liberal alternative in Dorvik.
"With far-left being the only left in this country we more moderate left-wingers need a liberal alternative."
Saudek and her associates already started a campaign to register a new political party called "Bürgerpartei" (Civic Party).
"I've spent my entire life helping other people. Now I would like to do keep doing that in the Parliament".
Presumptive party leader also criticized the far-right.
"When you look at them, their views and their actions you'll see that they're no better than the far-left. In fact they're worse with their racism and hate. Communists are at least funny - even if in a pathetic way."

Saudek commented on a range of recent issues. She commended Ein Dorvik leader Bianca Heilprin for taking a stand against the current government and joined her in condemning the "regressive policies of the radical forces currently in power." She also talked about the recent terrorist attack stating that "she sends her deepest and most sincere condolences to families of those who lost their lives in this terrible attack." When asked about her stance on death penalty she said that "It's a terrible practice that shouldn't have been re-introduced at all." Then the conversation moved towards abortion and gay rights where she said that "everyone should have the right to choose how and with whom they live their lives."

THE BIG EMBARRASSMENT

The DSU proposes early elections and then votes no

There has been a major embarrassment for the DSU after they withdrew from the TGP-DSU coalition and called early elections. The Executive Committee then voted to return to a coalition with the TGP and by the end of the week they had voted against the proposal they proposed. The DSU's leader in the State Council had this to say about the turn of events.

Well, the DSU MPs were angry about the Society Protection Bill and the Military Action in the South, they were forced to vote yes on the bill or force deselection. Of course, most of the MPs were happy about the coalition, but this was too far. The other DSU Cabinet Ministers and I said this was enough, so we handed our resignation and called early elections. We supported it of course, but The Executive is the supreme authority in our party, and so we had to vote yes.

THE MILITARY MOVES IN
Dorvish military contingents moving into Miktar and Largonia

At the beginning of this week after the passing of the DMIAH bill the military council in control of the operation ordered several military contingents to mobilise in the south and at the same time send some supporting northern units in.
This marked the start of Operation Justice the name of the operation. While the DMIO and DNIA are searching with drones and surveilance equipment the military responds to reports made by both services to try and take as many HPF members into custody or take them out.

The military set up camp near all major city's. According to the operations spokesperson there is not enough information about the countryside to set up military bases there. The total force participating in the operation is almost at its full capacity, around 8.000 troops are now mobilized in the south with the other 2.000 remaining reserve for now. Tanks and other heavy equipment is also left out by the military council in order not to aggrevate the southern people to much.

At the beginning of this week Operation Justice has begun. According to our current intelligence we project that the operation to take out the HPF and its leaders will take around 3 months. The curfews outlined in the DMIAH act are now also in place. I as president of Dorvik wish for a safe return of all our men and women at the front of this fight for justice. We have been forced to this action by an evil force. We will defeat that evil force thanks to the devotion of us as a people.
I have heard the concerns about this operation and the bills that followed after the attacks. But we stand firm in our believe that this is the best and most efficient way to root out these terrorists and i will do everything in my power to make this operation succesfull with out boys and girls returning safely. I will come back to you once i have more information. Thank you

The first contact with HPF militants has been confirmed

A military transport that was on its way to deliver around 100 new recruits to a military base in Miktar has been attacked by HPF militants. This has been reported by sources within the military and several civilians living near the scene.
The convoy was driving on a road just north of the Miktarese city of Ussendorf when a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) hit the Humvee in front of the convoy destroying it and killing the 4 soldiers inside.
After the RPG attack around 40 HPF militants opened fire on the convoy with assault rifles and bolt action rifles. The gunfight lasted for 9 minutes after which the remaining HPF militants restreated back into the forest next to the street.

The aftermath: 11 Dorvish soldiers killed (including the 4 in the humvee) with another 20 wounded. The HPF lost around 23 of its fighters. The number of wounded on the HPF side was not determined since they fled together with the rest.
Military docters rushed to the scene in a transport helicopter and mobile health center followed by additional reinforcements to secure the perimeter. It was devastating to see since the dorvish military has not been involved in this kind of combat for decade's. blood filled the street and the burning wreckage of both the humvee and one of the transport trucks was seen by people living nearby.

After this attack the military council gave a statement by letter to the press.

This afternoon at 4 P.M a military convoy transporting troops to a Miktarese army base was attacked by HPF militants. 11 Dorvish servicemen where killed in the attack. We would like to offer our condolences to the family's of these brave men who sacrificed their lives for the protection of others. The troops in the convoy killed an estimated 23 HPF militants. These men were identified as HPF militants because of the Hosian cross brandmark in their forehead and the white cross painted on their helmets and scarves. As a result of this attack we will increase the security of our convoys and tighten the surveilance of their routes. We thank you for your time.

After the statement released the military also released documents poiting out where most HPF activity had been monitored. It shows a concerning image. The military only has firm control over the city's in both Largonia and Miktar while the HPF controls a lot of the countryside and villages/towns. Combined with the fact that on some parts of the south the military has almost no information about what might or might not be there it could prove dangerous for the future of the mission. With the HPF gaining control of the countryside and villages some are concerned this might turn into a full fledged war very soon with southern seperatists also becoming more and more aggrevated by the presence of Dorvish soldiers in their region (Although most soldiers in the operation are southern) will this conflict turn out to be more than some expected? Will the military be able to handle a organized guerrilla war?

The president is reportedly asking other party's in the Rat for advice in this sensitive matter as he states:

I want to include the opinions and suggestions of all sides in the policical spectrum of our nation. This is not a government operation. This is a dorvish operation for which we need the advice of all Dorvish representatives. Especially after the first contact was made and more information is flooding in the advice of others is more and more crucial
