Dorvish Foreign Minister: We're working towards renewed relations with Beiteynu.

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - Dorvish Foreign Minister Gregor Stadtbäumer confirmed that Beiteynu and Dorvik entered into discussions regarding renewed diplomatic efforts. Dorvik and Beitenyu have had limited diplomatic interaction throughout their history and the Dorvish Foreign Office is positive towards developing relations. Members of the Dorvish press questioned if the Dorvish would ratify the Beiteynu Diplomatic Accords which has formed the basis for the renewed efforts of Beiteynu and the Foreign Minister stated that it was doubtful. "We have concerns with the intelligence component of the treaty and we would not ratify that. We've consulted with the Security and Defense Council as well as held long discussions with the Foreign Intelligence Service and we all agree that the provision of the treaty would be incredibly detrimental to Dorvish national security." The Dorvish Foreign Minister discussed that the Dorvish were very interested in working towards the developing market in Beiteynu and that the Dorvish could provide substantial investment to Beiteynu over the next several decades. Representatives from the Dorvish Trade Commission in addition to those brought on by the DTC in the private sector are looking forward to renewed ties and ease of access to the Beiteynu economy which has struggled for the past several decades largely from government and political chaos.

The Foreign Minister also spoke about the increase in Dorvish oil and gas production over the past several months in the face of Trigunia's efforts to profit from the worlds requirement on oil and gas. The Foreign Minister critiqued the Trigunian efforts in Utari Mosir and North Dovani citing efforts to influence oil and gas prices even more. The Ostlandic and Dorvish oil and gas industry officials met and discussed a joint effort to produce more oil and gas as well as the development of a strategic reserve in the wake of renewed tensions with Trigunia.

Dorvik to provide low-interest loan to Kafuristan
July 5201

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - Dorvish Foreign Minister Gregor Stadtbäumer confirmed that he had spoken with his Kafuri counterpart, Osama al-Aqsa, regarding the current situation in Kafuristan and offered whatever assistance he could provide him. The Foreign Office confirmed that the Foreign Economic Council will be providing a low-interest 2b LOD loan to the Kafuri government in order to facilitate economic assistance and stability within the country. The loan which is provided directly by the Foreign Capital Fund will be managed by the Foreign Economic Council itself. The Foreign Minister noted that he had approached the Dorvish-Majatran Bank, one of the continents most prominent financial institutions to discuss working further witht the Kafuri government to assist them in the development of financial success. "The Dorvish and Kafuri people have stood shoulder to shoulder in many situations and we are happy to stand with them once again. Kafuristan is a regional partner and we believe that with stability in Kafuristan we can address situations in the region in addition to situations internationally."

The loan is expected to come rather rapidly as reports are that Prime Minister Ahmad al-Hijal is now the Acting President in the wake of President Omar al-Muandi fleeing of the country. The Dorvish issued a "Yellow List" notice for Kafuristan which states that Dorvish citizens that do not need to be in the country should make preparations to leave, and remains aware. Those citizens remaining should be in contact with the Dorvish embassy in al-Kasraj and Miyatah, Nekkah where the Dorvish consulate is located and the site of the former Dorvish naval base.

Dorvish manufacturers to hold conference in Kundrati to determine nations investment potential

Kundrati - A coalition of Dorvish manufacturing have arrived in Kundrati for a seven day conference aimed at promoting investment in the manufacturing sector of the nation. Kundrati, a nation that has already experienced an injection of Dorvish investment and interest, has paid off for the Dorvish economy. The Foreign Capital Fund provided dozens of low-interest loans to agriculturally-based corporations in Kundrati to develop the agricultural sector of the nation over the past several years. Not only has the Kundrati agricultural sector become the focus of much Dorvish attention but has prompted a significant revival, according to Dorvish experts, within the Kundrati economy. A sales representative for Obst-Kocher AG, a Dorvish-based agricultural equipment manufacturer, has stated that the Kundrati market as well as the market generally in eastern Artania has developed "strongly" and continues to look like a powerhouse for agricultural equipment. Obst-Kocher AG plans to open a manufacturing planet in Kundrati and representatives were among the many who will attend a seven day conference in Kundrati. While the conference is not sponsored by the Dorvish government the Dorvish Trade Commission and Ministry of Trade and Industry has stated that more funds from the Artanian Development Fund can be made available for Kundrati should the conference show that Dorvish manufacturer's are serious about an investment into Kundrati. The conference is expected to be held March 1st through March 7th, 5202 and include dozens of representatives from across Dorvish manufacturing sectors.

Dorvish Inspector-General arrives in Kundrati for high-level defense talks

Kundrati - Inspector-General of the Armed Forces of Dorvik and Chief of the Supreme General Staff Generaloberst (Army) Leonhard Herwig, the Chief of the Foreign Defense Office, in addition to several officials from the Artanian Defense Group will attend a high-level meeting with the Kundrati Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kundrati military. Dorvish defense diplomacy has been an integral part to the success of the Dorvish foreign policy sphere for centuries and traditionally, they have held the highest esteem and respect for their neighboring nations and partners. Generaloberst Herwig stated that the point of the visit was to develop defense ties with Kundrati, a nation that has traditionally avoided world affairs but has seen a resurgence in recent decades. "We're here to see where we can help. While I understand there was interest in other nations, such as Trigunia, none beat the Dorvish excellence in military affairs." The visit, which is expected to last several days, will focus on the future deployment of Dorvish military advisors to Kundrati to assist developing the Armed Forces of Kundrati, in addition it is likely that the Dorvish will provide military aid in the form of small arms, basic military vehicles and perhaps heavier equipment such as outfitting the Kundrati military with Leopard main battle tanks. It is expected that the Dorvish will agree to the military advisors and after sometime will provide Kundrati with a sizeable military aid donation.

No concrete plans will be announced until after the meeting.

Dorvish State Chancellor develops nuclear ambiguity policy

Kingdom of Dorvik - In a press conference following the bi-annual "Black Eagle" (Dundorfian: Schwarzer Adler) State Chancellor Katja Steinheil was questioned regarding Dorvik's the status of Dorvik's nuclear weapons status. In January, 5073 the Dorvish State Chancellor Wilhelm von und zu Czimnetz announced that the Dorvish would be dismantling their nuclear weapons in an effort to support non-proliferation. This move was widely heralded throughout the globe and many applauded the Dorvish for their moves towards a nuclear weapon-free world. A short time after that however in May, 5081 the Dorvish grew weary of their efforts as rival at the time, Deltaria, had announced that they might be potentially seeking the development of nuclear weapons. State Chancellor Wilhelm von und zu Czimnetz pursued diplomatic options and it was later realized that Deltaria had not pursued nuclear weapons. There had been rumors that the Dorvish had merely removed the nuclear material from their warheads but had retained the missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons but none of that was ever proved.

In the press conference with State Chancellor Steinheil, she was asked about the status of Dorvik's nuclear weapon program and the State Chancellor responded with a simple statement. "The Dorvish government does not comment or discuss matters related to the Dorvish nuclear weapons program." A flurry of questions later that remained unanswered and it appears that the Dorvish government has formally established a policy of nuclear ambiguity. Prior to the 5073 dismantling the Dorvish government had been one of the few nations open and honest about their nuclear stockpile, which it possessed a limited amount of. According to the Terran Atomic Energy Organization (TAEO), an organ of the World Congress, and headquartered in Dorvik. There are currently no nations which possess nuclear weapons, now however, doubt remains as the Dorvish have officially established a policy of nuclear ambiguity.

Lievenian Sea Accord a win for the Dorvish economy and government
March 5203

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - State Chancellor Katja Steinheil confirmed that she had been in negotiations with the Hutorian head of state, Kathleen Davidson, regarding the foundation of the Lievenia Sea Accords. The State Chancellor stated she was optimistic that renewed trade within the Lievenian Sea would be "...instrumental to the success of all nations making contact with the Lievenian Sea." The Dorvish government considers Dorvik, Kundrati, Endralon, Davostag, Telamon and Hutori as being members of the wider Lievenia Sea community and the so called "Lievenian Sea Accords" which will be ratified will provide means for free and fair trade between the nations within the Lievenian Sea. "We applaud the diplomatic efforts of President Davidson. This has been instrumental towards the Dorvish goal of enhancing cooperation between continental and regional partners, none of them more important than the historical relationship with Hutori." The State Chancellor referenced several important events that Hutori and Dorvik have survived through, notably several dozen conflicts in addition to deep economic cooperation between the two countries. The State Chancellor also highlighted the importance of the Northern Council and how it shaped the overall foreign policies of both nations and the wide impact it had on the global order for centuries. "We welcome the efforts by Hutori and we're eager to get to work within the provisions of the treaty organization that will be formed."

Early version of the treaty were revealed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in discussions in the State Council's Foreign Affairs Commission and other State Council committees, many welcomed the common defense component of the treaty in addition to providing a means to resolve disputes with fellow member nations within the organization.

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - State Chancellor Katja Steinheil confirmed that she would be remaining the Chairwoman of the NVP through the October, 5203 elections. The elections will likely be contested through the traditional alliances of the Free Conservatives and the Hosian Democrats, the Dorvish Workers' and the often "free agent" Octobrist. In the October 5197 election, there was over 75 deputies from the resurgent Hosian Democrat faction elected for the first time since the formation of the informal faction with the NVP. Political pundits and experts in Dorvik have cited a chance that should the Hosian Democrats and Free Conservatives continue to gather more and more representation within the party, they will ultimately replace the more common "Populist" that the NVP started as. Steinheil has had some of the highest approval ratings within recent Dorvish political history, surpassing her popular predecessor. DAZ interviewed several people on the streets of Haldor and they were questioned if they supported the Steinheil Chancellery and if they did, why did they support her. Christopher Ribbentrop, a Dorvish banker, stated that the economy had done well and it had been a boon for a lot of people as to why they saw her as successful. "As a banker I see a lot of people coming into the bank, taking loans for home improvement, a lot of mortgages for new homes. It is good. She is doing a good job." Alexander Kahl, a franchise owner of Kaffeetage, a popular Dorvish-based coffee shop, stated that he noticed a lot more people out and about, visiting shops in Haldor's market areas and that he had no shortage of applicants for positions in his coffee shop.

Hannah Moser, the manager of the largest Königsmarkt (a Dorvish grocer) in Haldor, stated that she was excited for the recent economic success and that she felt that people were generally happier underneath the Steinheil Chancellery. "I'm no economist but I feel like my Dolgar goes farther. I feel like when I go to the store my Dolgar means something." Moser is not wrong. The Dorvish Ministry of Finance has cited record low inflation within the Dorvish economy over the past several years, the opening of both new and foreign domestic markets as well as the general "good feelings" towards the Dorvish economy. Angelika Möhring, a State Council Deputy and a member of the Free Conservative faction, stated that the policies of the Dorvish government towards a more liberal approach to the economy have provided a boon to people. She echoed the sentiments that the Dorvish economy was doing well and that she felt as if consumer confidence had increased overall and the Dorvish government had been doing notably well. Möhring noted that the recent announcement that the Dorvish would be signing deals related to free and fair trade within the Lievenia Sea would be a "massive" boost to the eastern coast of the Dorvish provinces of Greater Kordusia and Miktar. "New markets for Dorvish agricultural businesses in Miktar will be great news."

Union Klagenschlag wins Staatsliga

Küssingen, Westmark - The Dorvish Staatsliga finished up play earlier today with the final match of the 5023 season being played between 1. Sportverein Vöcklazing (1. SV Vöcklazing) and Verein für Bewegungsspiele Küssingen (VfB Küssingen) ending in a 0-1 score, the only score being VfB captain Geert-Jan Fredriksen, known as the "Flying Narik" who joined the club two years ago. The Staatsliga, which expanded to 16 clubs this year from 10 clubs last year, is unique among Artanian football associations due to their modified schedule of playing March to October. The Staatsliga which determines the winner by highest points total, crowned Fußball-Club Union Klagenschlag e.V "Union Klagenschlag" for the 5023 season with a total of 56 points. Union Klagenschlag won 16 matches, played 8 to a draw and lost 6 with 59 goals for and 29 against, they earned a points total of 56. The second place team, Fußballverband "Handelsbund“, from Fairfax, won 14 matches, played 9 to a draw and lost 7 with 45 goals for and 33 against for a total of 51 points.

Unfortunately for Staatsliga crown winners, Union Klagenschlag, they lost their final match to Layern Großengeismar 11 Fußball GmbH (Layern Großengeismar) in a 0-1 match which saw prominent Layern Großengeismar scorer and Dorvish national team captain Matteo Cullmann kick the only score of the match.

Dorvik formally ratifies the Lievenian Sea Accord; appoints Stellwagen and Heslenwang to leadership roles
August 5204

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - The Dorvish government has formally ratified the Lievenian Sea Accord and has appointed Fritz Stellwagen as the Permanent Representative to the Lievenia Sea Cooperation Organization (LSCO)'s Executive Committee. Stellwagen, who was confirmed earlier in the week by His Majestic Highness, the King and Kaiser, welcomed the appointment and served as a Ministerial Director within the Ministry of Trade and Industry. "I welcome the appointment as the Permanent Representative to the Lievenia Sea Cooperation Organization and I sincerely hope that I can make a positive impact for those who join the organization. I look forward to working with my counter-parts in Davostag and Hutori and whatever future members may ratify the treaty." Stellwagen stated he would be traveling to Benekial to discuss the future operations of the LSCO, the development of a permanent headquarters and satellite offices, and other administrative doings.

Konteradmiral Remus Heslenwang was appointed by the Supreme General Staff as the defense representative Lievenia Sea Defense Council and that vessels from across the Dorvish Navy, mostly from the Lievenian Sea Fleet (Dundorfian: Lievlandseeflotte), will be assigned to a rotation as a component of the Marineschutzgruppe "Lievlandsee" (Luthorian: Naval Protection Group "Lievenian Sea") which Heslenwang will serve as the first commanding officer of. Konteradmiral Heslenwang joined Fritz Stellwagen and stated he would likewise travel to Benekial to meet with the Hutorian representatives regarding the new treaty organization.
