OPEN creates Dorvish-based "Northern Oil" reference oil, extraction and production begins in Falristan
September, 5392

Dorvik - Officials from NordOil-Hutori, the NordOil subsidiary which has become a major component in the oil and gas industry, has continued to expand its operations following its 30-year lease in Falristan breaking the hold that Carter Energy Group has had on the region; the deal was reached in July 5390 but it has taken several years for NordOil-Hutori to set up operations including the development of new facilities. Michael Eichhorn, the CEO of NordOil-Hutori, met with representatives from the Mashacara Nations of Falristan to discuss the terms of the deal which remains tightly controlled but includes royalties and subsidiaries to the people. "We're here to ensure that the everyone gets their fair share of the deal. We're eager to work with the Mashacara people and thank them for their efforts. In addition, we want to thank the Hutorian government for facilitating these efforts." Eichhorn spoke on the recent news that the Trigunian government has increased oil production and the price of Bier Qassem crude, which was recently priced at $83.88 following increased production from Trigunia. Yurolovo Oils, a reference oil which combines the heavy, sour of Central Trigunia and the light, sweet of Eastern Trigunia, has achieved a high of $76.31 LOD, a record-high for the reference oil. Dorvish oil which is taken from the White Ocean, is a sweet crude oil and the oil that is mined from Falristan is the same, making production much cheaper and more familiar. The acquisition of the Falristan oil sands and the Althorcaea Shelf will propel the Dorvish to near Tier III levels according to the Organization for Petroleum Exporting Nations (OPEN), according to OPEN, a new reference oil which combines Dorvish White Oil (sweet, light), Falristan Sands Oil (sweet, light) and Althorcaea Shelf Oil (sweet, light) was created to provide a price reference simply put called "Northern Oil". The new reference oil opened at near Bier Qassem crude levels, approximately $79.53.

Octobrist Group unseats sitting State Chancellor.
October, 5392

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - "Octobrist Group" (Dundorfian: Oktobristengruppe), an alliance of both Hosian Democratic Union and Dorvish Conservative League members within the Hosian-Conservative Alliance, have "unseated" the now former Chairman and State Chancellor Florian von Voll. The leader of the Octobrist Group, Ulrich von Motha-Geyr who hails from the Dorvish Conservative League, announced that he had won the leadership contest against independent candidates from the Hosian Democratic Union and the Dorvish Conservative League in the leadership contest. While reporters have speculated that Florian von Voll, the Prince of Voll, stepped down due to internal pressure many forget that Voll has served as leader of the HKA and the State Chancellor since September 5354 when he took over from former State Chancellor Johan von Weinsedorf. The State Chancellor's tenure has seen the Dorvish return to the zenith power despite some ups and downs, the State Chancellor will largely be remembered for his pragmatic approach to Dorvish foreign policy and his approval in reforming the Dorvish Armed Forces alongside Chief of the Supreme General Staff Generaladmiral Dominik Gessner. Ulrich von Motha-Geyr announced that the Octobrist had put together a large-scale group of Dorvish politicians and officials that will make up his Council of Ministers. The first is the appointment of the now-former General-Director of the Military Security Service as the new Chief of the Supreme General Staff, Generaloberst Konrad zu Mohr, who held the post while overseeing the changes to the FSK and Panzergrenadier Regiment Großdundorf. The incoming Chief of the Supreme General Staff will look to continue the work of outgoing Chief of the Supreme General Staff Generaladmiral Dominik Gessner.

The Octobrist will focus on development of economic ties with nations such as Hutori, Dolgavia, Kazulia and potentially Rutania which has seen a recent election in which a new party has taken over. The incoming Vice State Chancellor and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Maximilian von und zu Czimnetz will seek to press forward with the goals of former State Chancellor Florian von Voll in expanding the Black Mountain Chain Railway to Kundrati. "We're serious about expanding the Black Mountain Chain Railway to Kundrati and ensuring that Dorvish citizens have unparalleled access to Kundrati tourism and markets. I'm going to be attending a visit down there to ensure that the topic is seriously discussed." The incoming State Chancellor also mentioned that he wishes to expand ties with Luthori going forward, hoping to continue to develop the economic success that the Dorvish economy has seen in recent years.

An official speaking at the Autenburg Conference in Autenburg.

Autenburg, Dorvik - The new Chief of the Supreme General Staff Generaloberst Konrad zu Mohr spoke to the Autenburg Conference (Autenburg, Largonia, Dorvik) hosted by Gath Defense Collective for the first time to discuss the future of the Dorvish Armed Forces, serving as the keynote speaker. The first thing that the Chief spoke to was the continued development of military exercises with Hutori, Kazulia and other nations. The restoration of the Winter Lion and Leviathan Tide multi-national exercises has been a boon for the Dorvish, especially as they are relied heavily upon to provide logistical support to both Dorvish, Hutorian and Kazulian forces which have participated in these exercises. The Chief hinted at, in the near future, opening Artanian-based exercises with nations such as Dundorf, Rutania and potentially a re-forged warming with Kundrati. Officials from the Foreign Defense Office have announced that a contingent of Hutorian forces will participate in the upcoming Black Eagle and Red Eagle exercises, both of which will focus on multi-national operations attacking a number of different enemies. The Chief also spoke about the reforming of several divisions within the Dorvish Army as a means to provide additional support in future conflicts. The Chief spoke to the large-scale importance that unmanned aerial vehicles, both for recon and strike, will play in the future of the Dorvish Armed Forces and how their integration in upcoming doctrinal changes will impact the Dorvish way of war. Mohr, the former General-Director of the Military Security Service, also spoke about the formation of the Fernspäherkompanie (Luthorian: Long-range scout company) which will play a future role in any conflict, both declared and undeclared that the Dorvish will participate in. "Once again the Dorvish are at the forefront of adapting to new ways of war and developing a robust system to defend the people of Dorvik and our Dundorfian heritage." The conference, attended by hundreds of top military, security and defense officials from around the globe, focused its efforts on the rise of Ahmadi terrorism in Dovani, tensions between great powers and the decline of stability in Terra.

Supreme General Staff upgrades equipment in Kundrati and Davostag, increased maritime surveillance.
March 5396

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - Dorvish officials have confirmed the deployment of new intelligence gathering technologies to locations on Extea, Kundrati and Bindeborg, Davostan to replace existing technologies according to the Supreme General Staff. The new technologies will expand and enhance the ability of the Dorvish intelligence community to better monitor large swathes of both Artania and the oceans surrounding the areas. These intelligence outposts are largely early warning and command and control facilities, according to the Supreme General Staff they are not utilized for intelligence collection, something that is doubted by critics of the Kingdom. Chief of the Supreme General Staff Generaloberst Konrad zu Mohr spoke at a press conference outside of the State Chancellery following a meeting of the State Security and Defense Council where he was spotted leaving with Coordinator of the State Security and Defense Council, Rayko von Völknitz-Siezenhaus. Mohr was questioned regarding the recent multi-national exercise involving several nations including Beiteynu, Lourenne, Luthori, Kundrati and several others; Mohr nodded his head and welcomed "...greater cooperation between nations..." and he offered his thanks to those nations that had participated. "The High Seas Monitoring Squadrons are well aware of multi-national exercises and movement and I can tell you that the activity in the Artanian Sea and elsewhere was closely monitored by the High Seas Monitoring Squadrons. The Dorvish intelligence community thanks them very much for the free information provided." Reporters questioned what the Chief of the Supreme General Staff meant and he simply smirked and walked away from the reporters, entering into a vehicle with the Coordinator of the State Security and Defense Council. As a component of the High Seas Monitoring Squadrons, the Dorvish have expanded MQ-4C "Möwe" (Luthorian: Seagull) flights alongside increase maritime patrols around Artania and surrounding areas, including Migrant's Pass where they continue to provide patrols and maritime surveillance.

Crown Prince, Foreign Minister and Trade Commissioner meet with Dolgavian Crown Princess for goodwill visit.
October 5392 (Backdated)

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - Minister of Foreign Affairs Jochen von Weinsedorf and Dorvish Trade Commissioner Otto von Bahr met with Dolgavian Crown Princess, Her Majesty Princess Helvig to discuss renewed relations between Dorvik and Dolgavia over the coming years. The Foreign Minister, who was joined by His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince Alaric in the meeting, noted that Dorvish officials were working out regulatory processes to begin increased trade and investment into Dolgavia but cautioned them that their relations with Trigunia could potentially provide some "...issues..." in the future. While the visit by the Crown Princess was considered a "goodwill" tour, the Foreign Minister noted that the meetings were productive and that in the near future the State Chancellor will visit Dolgavia to discuss deeper cooperation between the two nations. According to the Dorvish Trade Commission the trade between Haldor and Aikums has increased steadily since the restoration of a stable government in Dolgavia, jumping 15% in the first year and then increasing steadily 3% per year until reaching the current status of 67% of previous trade with the nation prior to the collapse of the government. Dorvish trade with Dolgavia is mostly focused on the export of financial services, automobiles, defense and military equipment as well as medical equipment; the Dorvish Trade Commission would also be resuming its work in Dolgavia after approval from the government in Aikums. The Dorvish Trade Commission functions as the primary source of trade coordination between nations, this includes providing support, coordinating regulations and taxation policies, working to lobby trading partners of Dorvik for favorable and mutually beneficial trade ties as well as serving as a vessel to provide credit in the form of an import-export bank. Representatives from the Foreign Economic Council were also present, the main vessel of Dorvish foreign investment, at the meeting and announced that they had gathered a group of private investors that were going to identify "key areas" of the Dolgavian economy that would be mutually beneficial to both nations when it comes to development of steady investment into a nation.

His Majestic Highness, the King and Kaiser alongside State Chancellor meet with William, Prince of Orange and Luthorian Foreign Secretary
October 5392 (Backdated)

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - His Majestic Highness, the King and Kaiser Florian III/II, State Chancellor Ulrich von Motha-Geyr and Foreign Minister Jochen von Weinsedorf all met with the William, the Prince of Orange and Luthorian Foreign Secretary Brad McDougless to discuss continued relations between the two nations. The visits were largely held in Haldor or the surrounding cities of Haldor that make up the Greater Haldor Capital Region (Dundorfian: Hauptstadtregion Großraum Haldor). The cadre visited a number of cultural sites and local businesses, the State Chancellor highlighting the economic cooperation between the two nations and noting that in the near future should relations between the two states continue to "warm", they would consider naming Luthori as a special trading partner, a status that has rarely been awarded by the Dorvish outside of nations such as Hutori, Dolgavia, Lourenne (formerly) and others. "We're excited at the future prospects between Fort William and Haldor, but we understand that we need to work together to ensure that we have common understandings when it comes to dealing with Artanian issues and issues related to regional and even international matters."

The Foreign Minister welcomed the mention of the Artanian Union and hoped that in the near future it wouldn't be a labor of solely nations such as Rutania or Dorvik that held the mantle of the Artanian Union, but all nations on Artania. "The Artanian Union has been one story of success after success but in recent years there have been elements at work that have undermined that success. We're hoping that with a renewed government in Rutania, Dorvik and Luthori can all come together to make something possible again. We're certainly prepared to make the Artanian Union a thing again in the near future." The Foreign Minister also mentioned that he would discuss with his Luthorian counterpart working out either a new treaty or a redesigning the old treaty between Luthori and Dorvik to ensure a more robust cooperation.

Reporters questioned military exercises between the two nations, the Dorvish promptly stated that they would work towards inviting Luthori into the annual and bi-annual Red Eagle and Black Eagle military exercises respectively, but Luthori would need to understand that several nations are already in rotation when it comes to participating in them. "I can say without question we're going to work towards cooperation in the near future but the Red Eagle and Black Eagle exercises are meticulously planned and executed, perhaps in a few years when we can factor in a force that we have not operated with quite yet." The Foreign Minister did state however, that Luthori was welcome to send police, intelligence and security personnel to Dorvik to participate in the Sword and Shield (Dundorfian: Schwert und Schild) November, 5397 exercise. Sword and Shield is an annual exercise dedicated to domestic law enforcement and security agencies which conduct a nation-wide exercise to face a number of domestic issues. "Sword and Shield" is a reference to the common motto shared amongst many Dorvish paramilitary agencies and the Dorvish Police forces.

His Majestic Highness, alongside the Crown Prince, Alaric joined the Prince of Orange at several beer gardens around Haldor, they were followed by a bevy of reporters and gossip reporters. His Majestic Highness told the gaggle of press: "Luthori and Dorvik share a similar heritage and while they might not be Dundorfian, they are certainly among the nearest Artanian nations in culture but not quite the nearest in beer!" It has been reported that despite sometimes tense periods of diplomacy between the two states, the Luthorian monarchy and the Dorvish monarchy have shared relatively warm relations and there has been a steady line of communication between the two monarchies over the years in keeping things "open" between the two nations.

State Chancellor offers limited recognition to Kafuristan, cites need for improved human rights as source for greater recognition.
April 5398

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - State Chancellor Ulrich von Motha-Geyr was joined by the Foreign Minister, Jochen von Weinsedorf and the Dorvish Ambassador to Kafuristan, Claus Lehr to announce that they would provide "...limited recognition..." to the new Kafuri regime but in the wake of alleged human rights abuses, they would not provide full support. "The Dorvish and Kafuri have a long history of cooperation, I have spoken with the National Secretary-General of the Ba'athist Party in Majatra and he assured me that the allegations of human rights abuses are being investigation from within. Kafuristan has always been a beacon at the heart of Majatra, hence the native Majatran name of Kafuristan is al-Qalb, or "the heart", Kafuristan needs to address these allegations immediately and failure to do so will be met with condemnation of the entire globe." Limited recognition of the regime will allow the Dorvish government to exert influence over the new Kafuri government but the State Chancellor recognized that international affairs is a tricky thing and despite how close historically Dorvik and Kafuristan were, new governments have their own ideology. The Dorvish have been involved in Kafuristan for centuries and have long-established ties to the pan-Majatran Majatan Socialist Ba'ath Party.

The Dorvish maintain considerable investment into Kafuristan, such as the largest foreign-owned and operated bank, the Dorvish-Majatran Bank, considerable investments into the Kafuri arms industry through the pan-Majatran, but Kafuri-based Majatran Organization for Industrialization and the Dorvish intelligence community maintains a well-established and friendly relationship with the General Intelligence Directorate and the special operations force of the GID, the Special Service Unit. If there is any nation in the globe with considerable influence in Kafuristan, it would be the Dorvish. In Nekkah, where the Dorvish operated a naval base, a sizeable Dorvish community exists in the area and has maintained its presence for several centuries now. The State Chancellor announced he would be interested in meeting with the new Kafuri government to provide assistance in the transition and providing whatever state-building efforts he could to ensure an orderly and peaceful transition of power from one regime to the next.

Monarchs, heads of government and foreign ministers from Dorvik, Dolgavia and Hutori sign Charter of CSCO in Haldor.
October, 5399

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - His Majestic Highness, the King and Kaiser Florian III/II was joined by State Chancellor Ulrich von Motha-Geyr and Foreign Minister Jochen von Weinsedorf at the signing of the Charter of the Collective Security and Cooperation Organization (CSCO) at the State Chancellery in Haldor earlier this week. The organization, founded by Dorvik, Hutori and Dolgavia seeks to create an organization dedicated to collective security and cooperation among friendly nations. His Majestic Highness, the King and Kaiser was joined by fellow monarchs from Hutori and Dolgavia, Her Imperial and Most Excellent Royal Majesty, Victoria and Her Most Fair and Beautiful Royal Majesty, Helvig from Hutori and Dolgavia respectively; in addition Hutorian Prime Minister Wesley Law and Foreign Minister Peyton Walker were present at the signing, with Dolgavian Prime Minister Kornelijs Braun and Foreign Minister Silvestrs Veinbergs in attendance. The three nations will make up the first Permanent Council of which either the heads of state, the heads of government of their appointed representatives will meet in October, 5399 in Haldor to discuss the continued formation of the CSCO as an organization. Information has been sparse about the headquarters and overall direction of the new organization, some speculating that it is designed to replace the Northern Council, some speculating that it is designed to counter "negative actors" that have shown themselves over the past several decades.

Dorvish political experts have cited the inclusion of Dolgavia as a questionable decision given the recent diplomatic row between Luthori and Dolgavia, something that could raise questions in Dorvish-Luthorian ties but the Dorvish Foreign Minister quashed those rumors quickly. "Luthori and Dorvik are going to be at the forefront of cooperation on the continent and we're happy to have the Luthorian's standing side-by-side with us as we begin to reinvigorate the Artanian Union as a regional organization." The Dorvish Foreign Minister cited recent discussions between the Foreign Office and the Luthorian Foreign Ministry regarding the exploration of oil and natural gas reserves in the South Ocean. According to reports, the Dorvish Natural Resources Technical Management Corporation (NTVS) has already begun exploration options and sources close to the NTVS have cited contracts being awarded to several companies to construct what are known as "mega" offshore oil rigs, these floating structures are capable of drilling and then exporting thousands of barrels worth of raw petroleum per day. The NTVS has however highlighted the concerns of operating in the middle of the ocean and the increased risk associated with the exploration and eventual exploitation of rather untapped sources. A total of 6 of these "mega" offshore oil rigs have been constructed in the White Ocean, north of Dorvik where the Dorvish have Tier II (according to OPEN) in their EEZ. NordOil is seeking to further expand their presence in the oil, natural gas and petrochemical market as a means to further ensure global energy security.

The State Chancellor welcomed the new era of cooperation and cited several nations have asked about potential membership in the CSCO in the future. "We're going to get setup with our organization and administration and then seek to expand membership to those who share our collective vision for a mutually beneficial relationship." The State Chancellor spoke about the importance of the CSCO which was once a potent global organization dedicated to maintaining global peace and good international affairs, it eventually was replaced by the World Congress and the World Congress Security Council, leaving behind a proud legacy. The State Chancellor was recently asked about the intelligence conference that was happening in Lourenne, known as O3, and the State Chancellor reminded the press pool that "Cyclops" and previous iterations of Cyclops, have been around for centuries and have been fundamental in maintaining world peace and security. "While relations with Lourenne can be described as anything less than "warm", the notable exclusion of several nations really displays that Lourenne and its counterparts are not interested in common goals." The State Chancellor noted that the inclusion of the Terran Remediation Agency (TRA) was incredibly suspect. "Least we forget that massive scandal that happened and continues to happen regarding the TRA and how they blatantly violated the sovereignty of dozens of nations under the guise of mutual cooperation. I understand that Lourenne and Beiteynu have become linked at the hip but I would believe that Lourenne would be wiser to include such controversial agencies in a conference that seeks to put "others" beneath their moral "high ground"."

The Foreign Minister also confirmed that Dundorf and Dorvik had agreed to two joint plants, one located in Dundorf and one located in Dorvik to produce the long awaited replacement for the LARS 2, Theil-Hassel Technologies GmbH alongside Dundorfian-based Gebirgmunition would be developing the Mittleres Artillerieraketensystem (MARS II) (OOC: M270A1) which will enter serial production in January, 5400.
