Tensions between Dorvik & Valruzia escalate amid sanctions
Deputy chancellor hits out at Valruzian government after imposing "unnecessary and petty" sanctions

Image

Deputy chancellor and leader of the Conservative and Reformist Alliance, Katarina Riemann has hit out at the "incompetence and pettiness" of the Valruzian government after passing social and economical sanctions on the Republic of Dorvik. The Valruzian government has imposed a ban in operations are a number of businesses in Dorvik, based in Valruzia. She claims that the Valruzian government is "anti-business" and will do anything to "harm business, and the Dorvish people." Speaking after a meeting with the chancellor, in which she said the issue was raised, she commented to the awaiting journalists:
The situation between our two nations is getting serious. We have made several attempts to sit down and talk out a solution with the Valruzian government however this is been rejected. We want the best possible outcome for our people and our economies, but we must remember it takes two to tango."

The deputy chancellor also announced she had been in direct contact with the President Council of Ministers Jakub Polaniecki. She wrote a letter a outlining her party's and the government's opinion on the issue. She has released the letter at the request of Home Secretary, Zara Hoffmann MSC.
Mr Jakub Polaniecki
President of the Council of Ministers,

I am writing to question and condemn the move you and your government has taken concerning the trade embargo on businesses of Valruzia situated in the Republic of Dorvik.

A new government has been elected in Dorvik, and may I say democratically elected and although your government may not share some of the ideological values of our government, I believe there is no need for the action you have taken. We must work cooperatively for the bettering of lives for both our nation's citizens.

Business, I'm sure you will agree, is vital to our nations' success. The action your government has taken is anti-business, causing unemployment and loss of income home and abroad. We urge for your government to reverse this unfair and unjustified embargo, otherwise our government will need to discuss and consider a response to the problem you have presented to us.

Mr Polaniecki, our nation wants to be on good terms with Valruzia and cooperative with your government. We urge to reconsider the harmful action you have taken.

Katarina Riemann MSC
Deputy chancellor of the Republic of Dorvik,
Conservative and Reformist Alliance

She received a response from the Valruzian government, claiming it has "no basis and credibility" backed up by "a lack of evidence." She added that she nor the government would be "threatened or coward by threats from foreign powers or regimes.
To Deputy Chancellor of the Republic of Dorvik,
Mrs. Katarina Riemann:

Your Excellency,

The overwhelming support of the Valruzian Sejm for the measures taken by the Government of Valruzia is in the eyes of the public in Valruzia, and in the eyes of the Valuzian courts fully understandable, as it is a response for series of attacks, of both direct and indirect character on the Republic of Valruzia.

The Republic of Valruzia, and its democratically elected Government will not agree with statements calling for illegal military intervention made by Dorvik in response to the democratic campaign of the Valruzian Government, and public incitement of the conflict with Valruzia by supporting assaults on Valruzian Citizens and individuals of Valruzian descent committed in Sudik. The government of Valruzia heavily condemns the passivity of the then, as well as the present Government of Dorvik, on the issue of unlawful attacks in which the personal integrity and mental health of our citizens have been exposed to danger and heinous attacks on the ethnic and nationalist background.

Therefore we, as democratically elected Government of the Republic of Valruzia must act respectively, as this is our legal responsibility and one of our imperative goals to protect our citizens, whose safety is one of the factors defining the integrity of the Republic. And I assure you that the Government of Valruzia will not back down from its resolutions and decisions as this is our duty to serve the Valruzian People. Both Governmental Acts: "on Economic Exchange Restrictions on Dorvik" and "on Travel Restrictions" are entirely legal with the Valruzian law and are a diplomatic, at least for now, the response for the offenses against the integrity of the Republic of Valruzia. I remind you that any further act of Dorvik which will be classified as an act of hostility toward Valruzia will cause the response of the Valruzian Government which by virtue of the GA02/31 which will manifest itself as acts of retorsion or reprisal actions.

We demand the quick and thorough investigation to be carried in Sudik against the offenders who attacked Valruzian Citizens and individuals of Valruzian descent. We also demand a public statement of Mr. Edmond Braun, who happen to be the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Dorvik and Mrs. Céline Schroeder, who happens to be the Chancellor of Dorvik, in which they both apologize for their scandalous word calling for illegal actions to be taken against Valruzia, threatening the territorial integrity of the Republic and its sovereignty, as well as inciting of aggression against Valruzian Citizens residing in Dorvik.

Those are our unconditional demands.

Signed,
Jakub Polaniecki,
President of the Council of Minister
of the Republic of Valruzia.

Conservative members of the coalition government are set to meet with the Chancellor and foreign minister in the coming days in order to reach an agreement on how they further approach the situation.

DSU Split on Immigration Wide Open

Mark Schauble Openly Disagreed with Party Leader Mrs.Schroeder and Called her Immigration Policy "Weak"

Image

The Dorvish Social Union"s Deep Split on Immigration has come to the Fore today as 18 MPs Rebelled against Chief Whip Sophia Watanabe's Order and voted in favour of a Conservative Sponsored Bill Which will ensure stricter background checks and Verification for Foreigners who come to Dorvik.

Deputy Leader Mark Schauble has been the prominent face of discontent from the Parties Conservative Faction on Party Leader Cynthia Schroeder"s Quite Liberal Position on Immigration. While Addressing Reporters outside the Council,He said that Mrs.Schroeder"s Immigration Policy is weak and that it puts the Welfare of "Foreigners ahead of Dorvikians"

I have Enormous Respect for Mrs.Schroeder but her Immigration Policy is absolutely Weak,She seems to be Supportive of Open Borders and Uncontrolled Immigration to this Nation,We Should put the Welfare of Dorvikians ahead of that of Foreigners,The Current Security Checks we have are inefficient in controlling Anti Dorvish Elements from Disturbing the Peace of our Nation and Affecting our Citizens. And that Myself and all of the Parties Conservative Faction will vote in favour of the Proposal. We sincerely urge our parties other MPs To Reconsider their votes and Support The Security and Safety of Dorvikians

Jens Seelman Denies Anything other than Friendship

Jens Seelman, the Unsere politician embroiled in an apparent rumour that his relationship with the President is 'too close', has denied the rumours against him, giving the following short statement on his social media page, which has now been widely shared.

My relationship with the President is purely friendship, and friendship alone. On a political level we have very few points of agreement, but we get along well when politics is tossed aside, we share similar interests in winter sports and other such activities. I can't understand why my or the Presidents personal lives and sexuality have to be dragged into this. People can disagree politically and still be friends. I won't give any further statement on this issue nor will I answer further questions. Thank you.

When Erwin Simons was questioned on the matter he simply referred to Seelman's statement and said, 'leave them be'.

SNP draws large crowds as Volksdundorfische Cultural Association and Lorman Cultural Organization backs SNP in coming elections
November 4332

Haldor, Kordusia - The Social Nationalist Party drew large crowds today at the announcement that the Volksdundorfische Cultural Association announced that they would be backing the SNP in the coming May 4335 elections. The VDKV announced their intention to back the SNP shortly after they reformed, the rally was planned to draw support for the new SNP platform, which focuses on re-building Dorvik's image abroad and at home, mostly in the way of restoring order and law to what some SNP members are calling an "...era of lawlessness and egregious neglect of Dorvish culture." The Lorman Cultural Organization announced its recent backing of the SNP only recently, President of the Lorman Cultural Organization Elbel Schau stated that aside from the von Desidier family, the Lorman people were under represented in recent political years and that needed to change.

Chairman of the SNP Johannes Augustus von Rohr-Mauss stated that the SNP was actively searching for allies in the coming elections and that included the current coalition but also any parties willing to build a coalition to handle what the SNP Chairman called "...storm clouds over Terra." with the rise of tensions with Valruzia. When asked about the Valruzian row, Chairman von Rohr-Mauss simply stated that it needed to be handled appropriately and that the good men and women of Sacred Dorvik stood prepared to fight till the Final Victory. The conversation then lead the chairman to discuss the re-building of the Dorvish military, something he knew all too well as he is a reserve Colonel in the Dorvish Army.

The rally lasted several hours and was held in Staatsplatz, the large area outside of the State Chancellery and the Petrov building. SNP officials did not comment on the size of the crowd and simply stated that the crowd size spoke for itself.

The Co-Existence of Lorman And Sudish // DNS

Image
Above: Sudish PM Katerina Schwartz proudly declares herself as Sudish.

Sudish or Lorman? That question has never before been quite so stark as the nobility of Dorvik regains its ancestral political favourite in the SNP. Objectively, the SNP has the closest ties of any political party to the nobility of Dorvik, and in Sudik that nobility considers itself Lorman. But this contrasts with the highly religious, new-wave that has overtaken Sudik in the 'Sudish Revolution' that continues to this day. Once the equal of the wider Dorvish identity, Lorman serves as an almost extinct relic. Its language has been mixed into a southern dialect known as Sudish, and those who would be unanimously considered ethnically 'Lorman' are now calling themselves 'Sudish' also. How did it happen?

Genetically, the South remains Lorman, particularly Miktar. People will ethnically identify as Dorvish-Lorman, but they will not truly and personally identify themselves with the term. In the political sense of a people, the working class will consider themselves Sudish. This comes as the identity of the southern people has been struck between their ancient roots as Lorman-speaking Lormans and their place in Dorvik. Ultimately, in the more ethnically split province of Largonia, ethnically Lorman people began to develop a different identity to their Miktarese counterparts. Their language evolved into a dialect of Dundorfian that is influenced mainly in pronunciation and accent by the Lorman language.

Many in Sudik are in fact tri-lingual, but only one group considers themselves ethnically Sudish. The catalyst for this change in southern identity, Children of the Spirit and affiliated new-way theological movements have made southerners embrace a nationalistic, but still distinct identity. This manifested as Sudish, which later spread across the South despite the continued presence of Lorman identity, particularly among the rich who were more insular and had less contact with the ethnic melting pot of employment and social living. Those putting a Sudish identity above a Lorman one became those such as Katerina Schwartz, while the Lorman Cultural Organization seeks to battle for Lormans to go back to their roots.

Schauss Opens Diplomatic Door To Valruzia; Schroeder Apologises // CDNN

Image

Amidst a whirlwind of sexual scandal, the President Leon Schauss has not simply been acting as a moderator in Haldor, but has made his first major policy move in inviting the Valruzian government to a negotiation around migration, business and the military. Schauss said that 'both sides have to look past politics and think of the people they are hurting'. Schauss has called for Valruzia to come to the table and stop putting sanctions on Dorvik, which he said had escalated tensions. He also stated that Dorvik was 'totally willing' to change its own economic sanctions on Valruzia, including stopping migration and creating a no-fly-zone for Dorvish aircraft - though he said that he supported the motions currently.

According to Schauss, the tensions have escalated 'as two very ideological factions have gone to war'. Schauss also has stated that as a sign of good will, he will be scraping to removal of Valruzian immigrants who have been citizens of Dorvik for less than five years, in what he termed as the 'first step' in changing relations. He says that the Dorvish Republic is willing to scrap the business ban, migration curb and no-fly zone if Valruzia removes its own migration and economic sanctions on Dorvik. Schauss said that a strategy of 'mutual deescalation' was the only way to help the average person. Schauss' willingness to engage in diplomacy has contrasted with a more hard-line approach taken by some HA members.

In similar and likely related news, the State Chancellor Céline Schroeder has apologised for the lack of government action on Valruzians persecuted in Dorvik, particularly the southern provinces. Schroeder has issues a formal apology, and has said that the financial reforms underway will include increased police presence in areas with high levels of crime. In more related news, Leon Schauss has denied that he has 'acted inappropriately with any member of any party', and despite an increasing number of people from his youth suggesting he is uncomfortable with his sexuality, admitted: 'I have felt feelings for men in my life, but I have always tried to clear my mind of lust. I choose to live single for this reason'.

LCO President: "Lorman is not Sudish"
April 4333

Königheim, Miktar - President of the Lorman Cultural Organization has spoken regarding comments by Katerina Schwartz and various other "Sudish" movements that have sprung up and have tried to repress the Lorman culture and people for the past several years. President Elbel Schau stated that the movement for Sudish was harmful and damaging to the Lorman people and their culture. The move by Katerina Schwartz and other smaller Sudish movements come at a time of heightened ethnic tensions between the new upstart Sudish and the historical Lorman people. The Lorman people have been relatively integrated into the Dorvish culture over time, however, they have retained a stronghold within Miktar, namely in their culture and language. The affront to their culture by the upstart Sudish movement, has been troubling for them and many within Miktar are starting to push back, including the largest pro-Lorman cultural organization, the LCO.

Lorman's are descendants of Dundorfianized Kerisian raiders that attacked Artania's eastern coast through it's history, they also intermingled with Hulstro-Trigunians and Trigunians that arrived in Dorvik following the outbreak of the Dorvish-Trigunian War in the mid-1920's. Not only have the Lorman Cultural Organization came out and opposed as classifying them as "Sudish" but so has the Lorman nobility, including the prominent zu Völksau family and the von Lÿndow-Sennhein family. Prominent agricultural families allied with the Dorvish Agrarian League (primarily based out of Miktar) have also come out in defense of their culture and people.

President Schau has scheduled a massive rally to be held through Miktar to condemn the move by what they say is "...government sponsored oppression and ethnic cleansing." The Social Nationalist Party did not release a comment when asked, however, sources within the party have stated that they condemn the move to claim the Lorman people as "Sudish" and will actively fight against such classification.

"Tensions with Valruzia need to come to an end." SNP Foreign Affairs expert
April, 4333

Haldor, Kordusia - Karlheinz Hans von Färber, the Social Nationalist Party Foreign Affairs Secretary and a noted Lorman nationalist, has stated that the row that has developed with Valruzia needs to be handled "...diplomatically and this tension with Valruzia needs to come to an end.". Karlheinz Hans von Färber stated that he was unfamiliar with dealings behind the scenes that have caused the issue but openly stated that it appeared that off the record comments or on the record comments may have inflamed tensions. Valruzia, situated on Seleyan, is far away from the Dorvish sphere of influence and is widely considered to be a growing regional power on the continent. Karlheinz Hans von Färber stated that "...diplomatic cooperation with Seleyan allies is integral to Dorvish prosperity, when elections come and if we do as well as we are projected to do, we would be willing to engage in diplomatic dialogue with the Valruzian government in order to ease tension and begin the process of re-building relations."

SNP seeks a broad coalition to replace out-going government.
April, 4333

Haldor, Kordusia - Chairman of the Social Nationalist Party Johannes Augustus von Rohr-Mauss spoke at an emergency press conference following the collapse of the Holy Alliance, a radical religious right-wing political movement that retained power in Dorvik for quite sometime. Chairman von Rohr-Mauss called the press conference and stated that he was working on building a broad coalition in order to preserve Dorvik and provide it with a stable government. The SNP did not release any information regarding the potential coalition or coalition partners, however rumors have reported to see the Our Party representatives and SNP representatives out at an Eppen borough restaurant an area where the SNP has a large amount of influence and political clout.

While Council of Minister negotiations hang, the Armed Forces of Dorvik look to stability.
May, 4333

Haldor, Kordusia - The expected Minister of Defense, a current member of the Social Nationalist Party, Major General Reinhard Regismund von Rohr-Mauss was announced at a press conference by newly elected President of the Dorvish Republic Erwin Simons as the new Inspector-General of the Armed Forces of Dorvik. The appointment of a von Rohr-Mauss is a sign that the new political leadership in the nation is headed towards a more stable direction. The ceremony was held outside of the Presidential Palace and the former Major General was subsequently promoted to the rank of Colonel-General or Generaloberst in Dundorfian. The newly minted Inspector-General announced that a comprehensive review of the Dorvish Armed Forces would be conducted and would immediately look to ensure that the officer corps. had not been politically infiltrated by radicals, from either side of the political spectrum.

Inspector-General Generaloberst von Rohr-Mauss stated that the first and foremost reform that he would implement is his changes to the Rear Area Command of the Armed Forces, what many see as a move towards preparing for war but Dorvik has remained relatively calm when it comes to preparing for war. The Inspector-General stated that the second reform he would make would be investing in new officers to serve as the Inspector's of the various branches.

DSU Makes Modest Gains

Party Leader Cynthia Schroeder at a Campaign Event in Weinsedorf while Campaigning For the May Snap Elections:-

Image

The Dorvish Social Union Made Modest Gains in the Snap Elections of May 4333,The Parties Vote Share Rose to 9.93% and made a Net Gain of 9 Seats and won 59 Seats in Total. Many In the Party Say that The Party was not Able to Convert Mrs.Schroeder"s Popularity into Votes and say that the Party has to come together and Noted to the Parties Deep Divide on Immigration as a Probable Reason for the Parties Lesser-Than-Expected Performance. The Party has now united in support for the "Dorvish Model Of Capitalism".The Parties Updated Policy Proposals Include Support for Greater Regulation of Private Medical Practices,The Enactment of A Progressive Child Benefit System which would be based on the Income Of Each Individual Household,Bringing in A Mandatory Pension System,Supporting State Subsidisation of Tuition Fees and Supporting Single Parents. But the Party Otherwise Supports a Significant Reduction of Government Regulation on Businesses and Calls for a Reduction in the Top Tax Rate to 50% and Abolishing Income Taxes for Those Earning less than 20,000 DDO Coupled with a Reduction in Corporate Taxes to 10% from the Current 15% and has Continued To Support its Flagship Policy of Abolishing Taxes on Small Businesses,The Party Has also Proposed Further Liberalization Of Trade and has called for Dorvik to Rejoin the Artanian Union.

The Party also seems to have Agreed to Join a Coalition Government with Our Party,SNP and DSU with the DSU being Offered the Positions of Deputy Chancellor and President of the Council.Party Sources Stated that Cynthia Schroeder will be made Deputy Chancellor Meanwhile Joanna Adamczyk would be Made President of the Council if the proposal were to pass.Party Members also say that Party Heavyweights Such as Mark Schauble and Ingrid Lindström could land in Cabinet Positions. But the Proposal Lacks a Parliamentary Majority and has only 245 Votes and it is expected that a Minority SNP Led Government will be the only Probable Combination with the DSU Deliberately Refusing to work with the NSU and the MKP.Another Proposal which includes the Social Reciprocity Party and the Conservatives has also been placed before the Council but the Conservatives have come out in opposition to the bill.

Therefore it remains to be seen whether a Stable Government could be formed or whether Dorvik will have an early Election.
