Flashpoint DovaniApril, 4495Haldor, Kordusia - Foreign Minister Eckhart Röhr, the Dorvish statesman who has defined Dorvish foreign policy for the past decade, has noted that Dorvik may have its first test in the flashpoint in Dovani. Speaking with Chief of the Foreign Defense Office, Admiral Konstantin Mohnhaupt (Dorvish Navy), the Foreign Minister noted that the Dorvish were interested in the leading role that Ostland had in leading the charge against both Dundorf, Utari Mosir and other racist regimes in Dovani. While the Dorvish have not ruled out intervention in Dovani, the first foray for them into Dovani since the Dovani War, they have kept relatively away from the situation aside from passing sanctions on Utari Mosir and likely more sanctions forth-coming. Foreign Minister Röhr noted that the Kazulian threat of "vetoing" was dangerous to the stability of the World Congress and that the Dorvish would be keen on intervention without Security Council approval and would likely approach Lourenne regarding cooperation on Dovani.
Dorvik, which was once ranked as one of the most powerful economies and political powers in the world, has taken a hit due to domestic issues but the return of the All-Dorvish League, in cooperation with the Pragmatic Liberal Democrats, have brought Dorvik back to the forefront of world affairs. Dorvik announced logistical and arms support for Ostland, Chief of Foreign Defense Office Admiral Mohnhaupt noted that the Dorvish and Ostlander governments have agreed to multi-billion dollar arms deals over the past several years and these would continue. The Dorvish Armed Forces have provided training and material support to the Ostland Landwehr where many Dorvish officers are finding themselves attached to, including support for the VDKV's Security Service, a state-sponsored paramilitary service in both Dorvik and Ostland.
Inspector-General and Chief of Staff
Generaloberst Wilhelm Herschel has worked with President Wagener to direct the Lievenian Sea Fleet to Dovani, where it is currently located in the Sea of Carina conduct sea trials as well as training with the Ostland Navy. The presence of the Kaiser-class aircraft carrier, the DNS Heike Grossberg will likely be a reminder that despite "rankings" the Dorvish Armed Forces are a force to be reckon with and have been incredibly active in the past decade and are keen to re-capture their spot on the top.
