Marion Holthusen raises concerns about Krehl's leadership

Haldor- Today, the Senate Leader for the Dorvish Democratic Hosians as well as Party Vice-president, Marion Holthusen offered a press conference.

It is no secret that I am not Elsa Krehl's biggest fan. We have had our share of heated discussions on many issues. But I feel that it is important that I come forward and express my problems with her, not as a person, but as a party leader and President of the Republik. I feel that the results of the past election got to her head, as she has been more and more dismissive of concerns within the party. Take for example the bill DHD 09- Religion. Many of us agreed with certain aspects but did not with the fact that a lot of the proposals in the bill are being made mandatory. Heavily prosecuted blasphemy?!!? Blasphemy should not be allowed, but we shouldn't heavily persecute people for it. We are not a dictatorship telling our people what to think. These were all concerns raised in the party meeting where the upcoming bills were discussed. Ms Krehl ignored our concerns and still submitted the bill for approval. And we are forced to support it if we don't want to get the boot and get kicked from the party. This is just one example of how Krehl's actions are getting out of hand. She still has our support, but that could change in the near future.

The address was received with a lot of support from DHvD party members, and with shock from people outside the party. Could it be possible that Krehl could lose party support in the upcoming election?

When we at the DDN asked this question to Krehl, as well as her thoughts on the statement and the veracity of them, she refused to comment.

Elsa Krehl ousted from party!

Haldor- Shocking news from the Dorvish Democratic Hosians' Headquarters, and now Party President and Kongress party leader, Marion Holthusen, announced that Party President, as well as President of the Republik Elsa Krehl, has been ousted from the party. This is after a 103-48 internal vote, where it was decided by more than two-thirds of the party that Krehl is no longer fit to act as president.

The announcement came in a press conference where the new Party President announced that due to this happening just weeks before the general election, they will not be submitting a candidate, instead endorsing some other party. It remains unclear who the party will support, but inside information seems to indicate that the two favourite parties are the Radical Party of Dorvik or the Radicals for Dorvik.

After the success in the last election, it will be strange to see no presidential candidate from the DHvD. Marion Holthusen has said that she remains optimistic with their prospects in the Kongress.

As for Elsa Krehl, she has announced that she will be running as an independent. However, political analysts don't give her good prospects, with most calculating that she should expect no more than 3% of the vote.

Haldor: The National Party, NPHE, has stormed the Dorvish political stage, winning over 40 seats in die Kongress and capturing the presidency in a strong victory with 55% of the vote for Alexander Walmhoff, a former radio host. While the party failed to farner the expected support amongst the southern farmers it has still stormed the national scene, allowing the party to "set out its agenda for the coming years and ensure that our nationalist, proud and rural agenda is welcomed by the rural populations of our country." according to Halmar Hauke the party president. Its clear that the nationalist right wing voice of the party has struck a cord with a portion of the population, with the NPHE now in a position to propose a cabinet and likely serve in government. The NPHE leadership has already stated it intends to give more authority to local governments and privatize the farming industry. Furthermore heavy investments into the farming sector are also on the agenda, as well as reforming the schoolsystem to teach more about actual working life.

Currently the Hosian Democrats seem like the most likely coalition partner of the Nationalists, but it remains to be seen if this party wants to form a cabinet with the rather right wing nationalists.

DVB storms to electoral success

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - The Dorvish People's Movement (Dundorfian: Die Volksbewegung) stormed to electoral success in the Dorvish Congress, Heinrich Peltzer, the President of the Dorvish People's Movement was elected as a Deputy of the Dorvish Republic's Congress. Peltzer, a former member of the Dorvish security apparatus, has promised a "...dramatic return to the international stage." according to sources close to the leadership of the DVB. Peltzer stated that the party was in talks with The Nationalist to form a coalition government. Despite finishing third in the polls, the overall campaign for the DVB was considered to be a success following the collapse of the Kingdom of Dorvik and its subsequent retreat from world affairs. In that matter, Peltzer brought on noted foreign policy hawk Sibylle Lachs. Sibylle Lachs, the DVB Party Secretary of Foreign and Artanian Affairs, has spoke at several foreign policy-based think tanks throughout Dorvik, most notably at a discussion held by pan-Artanian Dorvish leaders. Lachs promised a return to "leadership" on the continent that has been "lacking" in her opinion. Lachs cited Dorvish economic interest as a means to push for greater Artanian cooperation but also noted that Dorvik needed to "reinvigorate" its own economy after years of shock that has caused a slow in growth, the development of structural economic issues and the growth of unemployment. In a more "traditional" appointment, Peltzer named Joachim Holzer von Fölker to head up efforts in the area of defense and security, aiding him is former Dorvish Police Lieutenant General Maximilian Gerstner. In the coming weeks it will be determined if the DN and the DVB will be able to form a solid coalition.

We deny the claims that Lydia Schlesinger was hiding ( in exile) in Aloria.We will never harbour a terrorist & be involved disturbing world peace or damage peace in a country especially artanian country said Former President Sebastian Taylor.

PM & President of Aloria were approached by press abt this matter.

This are baseless claims.We will investigate the matter added Alorian PM Catrin Morgan.No investigation was undertaken by local police in Dorvik she added.

There are rumours that Aloria Government is upset about the matter & no communication with Government of Aloria took place while going to press.

We will discuss matter with Dorvik Head of State & approach World Congress comments President Mr. Darren Lewis.

BREAKING NEWS: DVB wins Presidency, majority in legislature
April, 4928

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - The People's Movement, following a snap general election with the collapse of a major political party, stormed to electoral dominance and saw DVB leader Heinrich Peltzer win the Presidency of the Dorvish Republic. In his first victory speech he declared that he would bring together a constitutional convention in Haldor to discuss changes to the constitution. The President noted that some members of his party had approached him about restoring the monarchy in Dorvik however he said that the topic of restoration of the Faust-Essen monarchy would "...have to wait. The people have spoken and the republic is the correct form of government, for now, perhaps also in the future." The President promised a "return" to dominance in his speech, he noted that he had formally appointed Generaloberst Joachim Holzer von Fölker, the current Minister of Defense, as the Inspector-General of the Armed Forces of Dorvik and the Chief of the Supreme General Staff. The President of the Dorvish Republic enjoys the role as "Supreme Commander-in-Chief" according to Dorvish law and is afforded a number of abilities to make changes to the Dorvish Armed Forces as they see fit; this is generally done in consultation with the Supreme General Staff, the top level body that manages the Dorvish Armed Forces. Fölker announced that the Dorvish Armed Forces would continue its restoration of military exercises and affairs as it had in the past, he called upon the Dorvish people to continue to serve the Dorvish people and the Dorvish nation as they had done in the past.

President Peltzer noted that he would retain the current government lead by Nationalist Halmar Hauke and would only reconsider if necessary; he had appreciated the efforts of the Nationalist party in assisting in governing Dorvik properly again. Peltzer confirmed that he made temporary or interim appointments to a number of positions, including the President of the State Bank of Dorvik, Lisa-Marie Hammesfahr, who had taken over the role shortly after it was announced that Peltzer had won the Presidency. Hammesfahr served as a member of the Dorvish Development Bank as a Senior Vice President for Domestic Investments. The Foreign Office has undergone a radical transformation in personnel, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sibylle Lachs has had to conduct numerous investigations into political appointments from the prior regime, she has been assisted by members of the Dorvish Police and the rebuilt and renewed State Security Service which President Peltzer re-constituted. Lachs and State Security Director Oskar Preisner have worked closely to ensure that the Foreign Office as well as other government institutions are "...free from those which would cause it internal harm from international influences."

Dorvish President welcomes new vocational training program
October, 4930

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - President Heinrich Peltzer announced that the Ministry of Education and Culture lead by Minister Dr. Niklas Kapp, would be launching a brand new program aimed at vocational education with several of Dorvik's largest trade associations. The program, known as the "Facharbeiterprogramm" (Luthorian: Skilled Worker Program), aims to provide entry-level apprenticeship jobs to many fields such as electricians, plumbers, HVAC and other trade skills that the Dorvish economy has seen a drop in. As the world continues to modernize and more and more focus is placed on STEM career fields, the Dorvish Ministry of Education and Culture is seeking to "shore up" what some call "Old Economy" jobs. Dr. Kapp however calls such characterization "...poor and in poor taste. Carpenters, plumbers, electricians will ALWAYS be needed. We have seen a significant dip in these career fields and working with our labor movement partners will allow us to spark an interest in these important fields." Dr. Kapp also noted that the program would be expanded to the Dorvish prison system in conjunction with the Ministry of Justice's own rehabilitation programs. Prisoners in the Dorvish prison system will be permitted to undertake educational courses for offenders who have committed low-level offenses and are serving sentences within a Dorvish prison. As the Dorvish economy recovers from what President Peltzer calls a "...cultural shock..." from previous governments, he has recommitted to continuing to support Dorvish cold-weather farmers in Miktar, the continued green energy development throughout Dorvik and restarting the Dorvish nuclear power plants. DVB election officials have ramped up several policy discussions as the October 4931 general elections loom in Dorvik where coalition partners will face off against each other.

BREAKING NEWS: DVB wins snap elections
April 4956

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - The Dorvish elections in April 4956 proved to be a come back election for the Dorvish People's Movement, often called Die Volksbewegung in Dundorfian, seeing the DVB storm back to electoral dominance at the hands of party leader Kilian Vahlen. Vahlen, a former industrialist and business organizer, pushed back against the various pro-socialist policies of the so-called "Calculator Party" and called on the Dorvish people to reunite themselves with the often-used "Sonderweg" or Special Path in Luthorian. Vahlen rallied thousands of organizations, businesses and notably former members of the Dorvish Armed Forces to support the DVB in the coming elections. Immediately prior to the April, 4956 elections the so-called "Calculator Party" folded and the DVB were the only political party remaining and stormed to the top of the electoral charts. Throughout Dorvik the nation broke out in jubilee and excitement at the thought of stability and a prosperous Dorvik. The new Dorvish President didn't waste any time, he appointed a brand new government lead by Helmine Rosengarten, close political ally and former Vice President for Domestic Development at the Dorvish Development Bank to be the State Chancellor. A number of other officials found themselves appointed to positions, notably the incoming Inspector-General of the Armed Forces of Dorvik and the Chief of the Supreme General Staff, Colonel-General (Special Forces) Tillmann Meyr. The new Inspector-General had serious issues facing him, including an officer corps that needed purging from former loyalist to the socialist regime, the restoration of Dorvish Armed Forces prowess and the ever-changing domestic situation.

Meyr was joined by new Interior Minister Konrad Hartleben who immediately appointed close DVB ally Alexander Wehinger as the new Chief of the Dorvish Police. Wehinger sacked dozens of corrupt and ineffective police officers, leaders and officials and handed many of them off to the revived Dorvish judicial system to be tried for corruption and abuse of authority; common in the former government. President Vahlen also announced that Ludwig Theiner would be the new Director-General of the revived State Security Service, in the wake of his announcement a number of raids and arrests took place, notably of unregistered foreign officials serving in Dorvik as well as a number of domestic terrorist. While the safety and security of the Dorvish people was paramount, the economic security become a vital protection as well. Justin Freudenthal was appointed as Minister of Finance, Nicola Franck was appointed as Minister of Trade and Industry and Laura Niekisch was appointed as the President of the State Bank of Dorvik and the troika that they formed carried out an immediate overhaul of the Dorvish economic landscape and worked with the State Council and President of the State Council Adrian Kossmann to provide a number of legislative initiatives to bolster the Dorvish economy.

Haldor, Greater Kordusia - President Kilian Vahlen noted that he would not run for re-election following 3 terms as the President of the Dorvish Republic and bringing the Dorvish Republic back from the brink of total collapse; his counter-part State Chancellor Helmine Rosengarten noted that while President Vahlen and herself had accomplished a number of goals, they had failed on a series of major internal goals that they had pushed for when they received a massive mandate from the Dorvish people. Several up and coming members of the DVB have called for their resignation over such goals. The most vocal of their opponents is Miktarian Oberpräsident Ansgar Hans von Lÿndow-Sennhein, brother to the pretender Grand Duke of Miktar and Deputy President of the Dorvish Land League, a rural agrarian organization that holds powerful sway within Miktarian politics. He has been joined often by Joachim Ullmann, a Provincial Councilor from Greater Kordusia who has called for the Dorvish government to a more active role in international affairs and has called on the Foreign Office to rebuild Haldor as an international center of foreign affairs. They have been joined by a chorus of voices from across Dorvik who have likewise called for similar things. The next Dorvish general election is scheduled for several months away but it is likely that the State Council will call for an early election, largely to reset the normal October election dates that have historically been held within Dorvik.
