Dorvish State Chancellery releases economic stats for the past year

Haldor, Kordusia - The Dorvish State Chancellery has released economic stats for the year, underneath the guidance of the New Era party and the Social Nationalist Party, the Dorvish economy grew nearly 6% in GDP and the GDP per capita was raised by almost 1,000 Dorvish Dolgars and with the increased government spending, the economy is likely to to continue to grow as the Social National Party and the New Era party go into a new coalition together. Outlooks are strong as foreign trade is likely to increase with a renewed partnership in the Northern Council as well as stronger ties to Majatra. The announcement that the Kingdom of Dorvik was going to return sent stocks soaring over the course of the past year into the date of referendum, when the "Monarchy" camp was approved by an incredible landslide. Dorvish Trade and Industry Minister Constantin von Desidier stated that the Dorvish automobile industry had grown ten-fold and public-private investment into aerospace and space technologies had driven the economy. The Trade and Industry Minister stated that the growth will hopefully continue, he is confident that it will.

Dorvische Republik Täglich: BREAKING NEWS! Daring Malivian Raid on Genestadt

A daring commando raid has been carried out on refineries and port facilities outside Genestadt on the isle of Westmark. Early this morning several explosions rocked residence, shattering windows and reportedly being heard more than 20 kilometers away. Within minutes, the Neumann Refinery with nearly 500,000 barrels of crude oil had burst into flame. Firefighting crews were quickly on the scene but at this time appear unable to tame the blaze.

An hour later, a short gun battle erupted near the Port Authority headquarters between guards and what later turned out to be Malivian commandos. A series of small explosions soon followed that engulfed several merchant vessels on the city's nearby docks. Specially-trained police and military auxiliaries were called to the Port Authority building, reaching it around dawn.

However, the attacking commandos had left before after having run a twelve-foot Malivian flag up one of the port's gantry cranes as a makeshift. The flag was visible throughout the city before being taken down by authorities.

The source of the raid was confirmed when several videos were uploaded online and sent to the editors of the Daily as well as other major news agencies showing Malivian commandos attacking the refinery and port facilities. The videos are suspected of having been deliberately uploaded by the Malivian military.

When pressed for comment, Westmark's military commander, General Walter A. Voßkuhle had little to say but sources within the Defense Ministry stated the raiders came from a Malivian submarine.

Undoubtedly this dastardly attack was meant to dampen enthusiasm for the Dorvish war effort and spread our defense forces thin defending the long coastlines. Reportedly communities up and down the coasts are enacting contingency plans or calling for military protection.

Whether this desired effect will take shape remains to be seen but one thing is for certain, this raid will go down in history as one of the most daring.

Riemann to step down as Conservative leader
Long-time political figure to step aside from front line politics



Leader of the Conservative and Reformist Alliance, Katarina Riemann has announced she will step down as the party's leader after 19 years in the post. Riemann has led the party since 4321 when George Rohrmann stepped aside. She stood on a radical agenda for reform and the modernisation of Dorvik and Dorvish politics. Riemann has led by the Conservatives into government a record five times as a junior coalition partner. She has served in the positions as Finance Minister, President, Opposition leader and Deputy chancellor. Party figures have paid tribute to Riemann, former deputy leader Murdo Hossler said "she led the way for a truly, modern and reformed Dorvik." Former Bright Alliance Chancellor Celine Schroeder has been quoted saying "Katarina is one of the good ones, she has led her party from strength to strength and our country forward."

Former education minister and current Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Michael Fabian is expected to be a front runner in the leadership election with Zara Hoffmann (former internal affairs minister) already announced her intention to stand, Riemann allies are encouraging former president Therese Kühne MSC to run also.

Otto Jäger-Wu Thanks Riemann for her Service to Dorvik

During a State Council question session earlier today, Jäger-Wu, paid tribute to Riemann and her time as leader of KRA and the various roles she took during the twenty-one years she served as leader, and wished her all the very best come in her life.

"Although me and Ms Riemann often disagreed over certain areas of policy it cannot be denied her affect on Dorvish politics and Dorvik as a whole, she has led her party through thick and thin spanning twenty-one years, and during this political climate its something I frankly couldn't imagine doing. Her party worked with us tirelessly whether we were in Government together or looking at each other from opposite ends of the State Council. Yes we've had our spats and arguments,
but we've fantastic times and has always been a joy to talk to during that small quiet time in the voting lobby or somewhere in the State Council building. Ms Riemann, I wish you all the very best, and hope we'll see you on the back benches.

Social Nationalist look to form a broad coalition against Communist and Socialist

Haldor, Kordusia - Johannes Augustus von Rohr-Mauss has recently been conducting internal diplomatic missions to several political party headquarters to shore up support against the Communist and Socialist which have arrived on the political scene in Dorvik. The restoration of the Dorvish monarchy was likely to bring out the Communist and Socialist who are self-admitted to abolish the Dorvish monarchy that was approved by nearly 70% of the population in a popular referendum, instead of respecting the will of the people, the Communist and Socialist claim that the "workers" are against it. However a recent poll conducted by the Ministry of Trade and Industry's Dorvish Union Council showed that Dorvish workers overwhelmingly supported the restoration of the Dorvish monarchy and a recent poll conducted by the Dorvish New Service itself showed that the Dorvish monarchy had received high marks and many Dorvish citizens saw the King and Kaiser as a "unifying figure in Dorvish politics."

Chairman of the SNP Johannes Augustus von Rohr-Mauss was seen leaving several party headquarters earlier this month, namely the Dorvish National People's Party and the "New Era" headquarters. It is reported that representatives from the Dorvish Agrarian League met with members of the Dorvish Smallholders Party, sometimes known as the Dorvish Land People's Party to the Dorvish News Service. It is unknown what the composition of these meetings were precisely the SNP Office of Party Information confirmed that they were had.

New Era Experiences Heavy Losses, Jäger-Wu Announces Marriage to Claudia Thaller-Merenbürg

New Era has experienced heavy loses in the most recent general elections as new radically left-wing parties storm the election. The party has made loses of 160 seats in the State Council losing 27% of its voter base, the leadership are unsure what caused the kick-back other than the emergence of more left-wing parties in Dorvik that want to see the monarchy destroyed. The leadership of the party insisted it was remaining in place with confidence still remaining in them, stating:

This is a result of a splintering of the electorate, and hard-core left wingers coming in and stirring it up. We will continue to fight on and we will win again.

The party is likely to remain in government with a negotiations still on going, it is likely to be a coalition to lock out the hard-left and hard-right, seeking to keep Dorvik stable and the monarchy in place. The party said it will fight for the centre and centre-left and continue to be the moderate force of any Government.

Otto Jäger-Wu to Marry Claudia Thaller-Merenbürg

Otto Jäger-Wu, former State Chancellor and the heir to cadet branch of the Traisheim's, has announced he will be marrying Claudia Thaller-Merenbürg a long term friend and recently developing into something more. The marriage is seen as controversial, given the Thaller's recent disposal from power in Narikaton und Darnussien. However he has down played the issue stating that she was from a cadet-branch like himself and that she was little to do with the major Thaller's.

No citizenship rights for Claudia Thaller-Merenbürg, demand Communists

The Dorvish Communist Party have proposed a bill to the Staatsrat that would deny Dorvish citizenship to Claudia Thaller-Merenbürg, the intended bride of former State Chancellor Otto Jäger-Wu. Communist leader Klaus Erdmann stated:

The Thaller family are the germ of capitalism and a cancer on the face of Terra. We do not need these capitalist leeches in Dorvik.

The quiet death of a historical political organization
November 4342

Haldor, Kordusia - When the Social Nationalist Party realized that they were to come in last in the Dorvish snap election held in October 4342, they were not shocked. The Social Nationalist had for now, worn out their welcome, the Social Nationalist Party became an institution and would continue on as such but for now, the General Council meeting of the Social Nationalist Party heralded an unprecedented decision...a temporary adjournment from state elections and politics. The Social Nationalist would continue to operate as a political organization, however they would not compete in elections and would continue to serve as a bastion of conservatives in Dorvik. The General Council's decision did not shock the 19 Deputies of the State Council, in fact, it belated them for it was a major portion of them (17 of the 19) who wanted to change the Social Nationalist into a more traditional, pro-monarchy, right-wing political organization that was not afraid of it's heritage and it's background. The 19 Deputies of the State Council announced that they were to undertake a new political party, forged from a newer, younger conservative movement. It was to be known as the Dorvish Workers' Party (Dundorfian: Dorvische Arbeiterpartei) and it would be forged from a similar stock of the Social Nationalist Party, however, it would take on one notable feature it would include a far greater emphasis on the "third way" political spectrum and would focus on both anti-communism and elements of anti-capitalism, which the newer generation of conservatives believed could be dangerous to the Dorvish people as a whole.

The Dorvish Workers' Party drew from the success that the Volksdundorfische Cultural Association had with the establishment of the Eastern Homeland Association and it's eventual political wing the Dolgavian People's Party. The Dorvish Workers' Party seeks to emulate that success and promises greater reforms for the Dorvish nation in the near future.
