Early Elections Held in Dorvik

The government dissolved the Reichstag after the KP left the Reichstag due to unknown internal problems in the party. It is rumored that the party lacked large support, which is did, and due to the frustration and anger of the political members, it was decided to dissolve the party. The early elections were called after the bill was sent to instant vote, on a emergency gathering of the Reichstag after the news of the fate of KP was unleashed.
The VP Representative said:

"..Because Dorvik does not have a proper system of replacing seats in the Legislative assembly, the only way to fill in the seats is by calling early elections. In this case it is neccary, since even a small number as 15 seats does not make large effect, it does on the people it was supposed to represent..."

The election results were;

Communist Party of Dorvik.....133 seats
People's Party......116 seats
Catholic political Union......104 seats
Enlightenment Party.......80 seats
National Liberty Union.........67 seats

The VP-KPD achieved amazing success, but in the same time were disappointed. Combined, both of the parties have 249 seats, just 1 seat away to make the legislature a tie of 250/250 which would most likely require new elections as well. With only 2 seats to the majority the leaders were disappointed but happy and said that they are ready to gain the majority and do what they can to win the next elections.

The elections for President were won by the KPD which replaced the VP elect which was elected a couple months before. The VP decided to support the KPD candidate to avoid a feud like in the last elections. The Presidential elections were won in the first round by the KPD.

Constitutional Bills Pass

The People's Republic of Dorvik has officially adopted a new flag and anthem. Both of these under heated debates for 5 whole years have finally been put to vote with the support of the whole legislature, besides the NFB which abstained on the issue.
The new flag compromises of a specially designed Two-Headed Eagle, with a stylized lion in the middle. The colors are Blue, White and Yellow located as horizontal stripes. The new flag is being massively printed and is replacing the old ill-styled flag.

The People's Republic of Dorvik has also changed its national anthem. Although the anthem still uses the same tone and music, the stanzas have been modified and the anthem was made longer.

Both of these have been proposed by the Volkspartei which in the recent elections has been enjoying massive popularity. The Volkspartei leader said;

"..Although we do not enjoy changing our national aspects, we wish to address our culture and race and our country more, through our national flag and anthem - Both of which have failed to do this through the years.."

Another bill has been submitted by the Volkspartei to change the way we address our current states. The proposed is Provinz, which in Dorvik German means "Province". The bill has also achieved enough support to pass.

KPD looks to legalize their paramilitary.
DAP, CPD National HQ (Vinisk) - The KdA or Kampfgruppe der Arbeiter, the battlegroups of the workers, the paramilitary arm of the KPD is seeking to make itself fully legal despite having to make it legal for other parties to have paramilitaries as well. Dorvik has been massively shaken up lately as numerous parties have collapsed in the wake of a the worst voting numbers in Dorvik's history. General Secretary of the KPD, Silas Petrov has already send his requests to the people to ask them to vote more and get more involved. Silas Petrov's speech was much like that of his fathers, however the noticeable toning down of the communist ideals was reported.

DAP - The KPD took 256 of the 500 seats in the Reichstag in the snap election after the disillusion of the DVP, the right-wing nationalist party. The KPU captured 244 of the seats, the second and only other opposition party in the Reichstag. General Secretary Petrov called on the people for their support earlier in the year and it was taken, Petrov came on Dorvik State TV an hour after the election and thanked his supporters and asked the KPU to seek a middle ground that they cooperate on. The KPD hopes that a coalition cabinet can be propsed in order to protect Dorvik.

Volkspartei Reactivates


After the third collapse of the originally named - National Socialist Party of Dorvik (now Volkspartei), the current Volkspartei has been revived by the previous members after years.

"With the disappointing numbers, and falling support and constant internal problems it was hard to keep everything together" said the current leader - Eryk Fitzroy. " We must work together again like we did in the start of the People's Party in order to fight off unwanted political happenings in Dorvik and to ensure the people are represented correctly. "

The leader of the Volkspartei also called upon the people to take the ballots mentioning " The way we vote today, will determined where we vote tomorrow ", also saying " If we cannot sustain a voting population, we cannot sustain our political beliefs and a country in which our children we live in".

The Volkspartei hopes to stop the current non-prosperous government in an attempt to revive Dorvik's economy and to establish a welfare state.

The Ruling Government Wins, Kanzler Dies just before re-election

As a result of the new elections in the Volksrepublik Dorvik - the current Leftist ruling government has retained control of the ministers winning enough majority by 2 seats to form the governing coalition which has ruled Dorvik for the last 20 years. It is needed to remind of the advances of the government which has done much for Dorvik in all sorts of ways. Dorvik was effectively rid of non-humane treatment of forest and plane life, and animal life. In addition the government brought economic prosperity by centralizing and owning several industries such as banks which began serving their citizens better, with more beneficial loans for the citizens to start their lives or or financial support and more beneficial rewards for using certain banks - allowing for government controlled competition between banks. The government over the last 20 years has also accomplished great Social reforms. The conservative few and many Dorvish have finally been realized by ridding Dorvik of progressivism and the expression of gay/lesbian/trans-gender love. All three forms have been deemed illegal and de-moralizing to society which in essence they are but are not prosecuted. Also conservative views like opposition to abortions have allowed many humans in Dorvik to be saved from the carelessness of their mothers and fathers and later to be adopted by a loving family which wished to have a child. Finally, the long awaited reform in health care brought the Dorvish crying to the knees, thanking the government for purchasing the failing capitalistic industry, reforming and reviving it as well. Almost every hospital in a 10 year period in Dorvik was completely re-built, re-equip, and its staff re-trained to ensure the most modern and effective way of treatment. The Health Industry is currently regarded as one of the best in Artania and in one of the leading of its class on Terra. In addition, the Dorvish government has also accomplished large amounts of military modernization. The Communist Party of Dorvik effectively completely reformed the navy of Dorvik allowing for more powerful and renovated ships which will serve to defend Dorvish citizens if the need so arises in defense or offense. A country of great Social reform, economic prosperity, reformed and booming health industry and reformed military the government of Dorvik in the last 20 years has accomplished more than the governments of opposition have tried for the last centuries.

In addition to the great news mentioned above comes the sad news of the death of Kanzler Eryk Fitztroy just days before he was due to re-elect after he temporarily quit his post due to problems with the opposition and frustration. The past leader of the Volkspartei was replaced by Diedrich Jaschke the current President of Dorvik and the whole cabinet was changed to fit younger members of the party with better positions and new ideas to run the country. As he was not the Kanzler during his death, he did not ly in state but a week of mourning was declared in Dorvik when he died. Currently, Dorvik is recovering from the shock wave that hit it with the death of Fitzroy.

Dorvish Diplomacy Begins

As the newly reformed government has taken hand and began work, the Volkspartei - although not holding the Foreign Ministry has strongly attempted to re-activate Dorvik on the worlds Diplomatic scale. The President and Kanzler have supported military and economic treaties as well as normal treaties which for example attempt to abolish slavery and abide national law. The several months of work of Volkspartei officials, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have brought fourth several treaties which the majority successfully passed the Volkskammer - several did not. The several did not pass compassed military treaties which would aim at protecting Dorvik's population and ensuring it does not stand alone. Only a couple military treaties have passed the Volkskammer; the rest blocked by the Die Grunen.

It is unknown yet whether the Die Grunen will support the two military treaties which have not passed that were re-proposed by the Volkspartei. In addition, the President has mentioned that he is thinking of beginning visitation in Northern Artanian countries for discussion of Economic and Military as well as Social co-operation, and he has also expressed that the proposition that Dorvik has set fourth of a "Artanian Union" will be considered in the Artanian Summit.

Dorvik Welcomes New Year

The Dovish citizens have welcomed the new year in mass celebrations and parties around the country. This has been the largest celebration since the year of 3100 which marked a century of the 3000 years of existence on Terra. The government had funded the fireworks which appeared in every major city and celebrated brands to preform in the squares of every city. Reportedly some 18,245,000 Dorvish citizens celebrated in the Squares of cities welcoming the New Year.


Embargo on Rutania

In the same time as the citizens of Dorvik celebrated the New Year, the President of Dorvik returned furious at how he was treated in the Artanian Summit in Beluzia and how Dorvik was treated. He returned with a furiously written speech and the citizens of Dorvik furious along with him. The Dorvish parties are currently voting on a trade Embargo on Rutania which blocks imports and exports as well as seizes the assets of Rutanian citizens in Dorvik. The embargo is expected too pass.

Declaration of War, Trade Embargo Halted

As a result of a drastic change of events in Rutania and the inevitable Civil War, the Volkspartei has issued a bill for the mourning of the death of 42 confirmed executions of Dorvish citizens and the declaration of war on the rebellious rightfully Rutanian territory. The Volkspartei has called for the declaration of the war on the 'Republic of Central Rutania' which has declared its independence just days ago after the Democratic Reform Party's paramilitary had taken over the Rutanian province. The President addressed the nation and the Volkspartei has called for a emergency cabinet meeting and an emergency meeting of the Volkskammer the following day. The President said that "words do not describe his (my) fury on the issue".
With the needed support of the Volkspartei, the President and the Chancellor only the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense and the Communist Party must put in their vote for the declaration to pass. The Volkspartei justified sending pursing the declaration due to the "unjust, and unacceptable murder of Dorvish citizens, men, women and children." It is yet unknown whether a large military action will be put in place but Rutania has braced for the Civil War by mobilizing the loyal to the government forces. Curfews have been imposed by the already mobilized paramilitaries of parties have attempted to evacuate Dorvish and Ikradonese citizens out of the country in an attempt to ensure their safety. Already confrontations between the terrorist DRP paramilitary and the paramilitaries of other parties have caused a large amount of deaths yet un-confirmed for both the citizens of Dorvik and the paramilitaries. The deaths of the DRP in the conflict in the airport have not been reported. The deaths of the Dorvish/Ikradonese friendly paramilitaries have also not been reported. It is reported that Dorvik plans on dispatching their whole armed forces including the Air force, Navy and Land forces to safely escort the remaining Dorvish citizens and help in crushing the rebellious province. How much men will be dispatched is unknown but un-confirmed reports state numbers anywhere between 5,000 to 50,000.

The Trade Embargo has been lifted as part of an agreement with the government Rutania which has lifted its Trade Embargo. The countries were successfully in talks of diplomatic relations when the DRP began souring relations again until Rutania excluded them out of government which lead to the current conflict. All Rutanian citizens have been allowed to return to their homes, accounts have been un-frozen and no business were shut down nor was any property seized. The Rutanian embassy was also unharmed in the diplomatic conflict between the countries. The government of Dorvik hopes to cooperate withe the Rutanian government to protect Dorvish citizens and Rutania as a country.

Official Declaration of War Confirmed

With the uneasy events that have pulled Dorvik into a declaration of war, another 10 victims of the terrorist organization of the Democratic Reform Party have been confirmed to be executed in a barbaric manner. The DRP has also "gladly" announced the genocide against the "Socialist Scum and Subhuman people of Dorvik" which had begun just days before. The Volkspartei immediately called for radical action against Rutania earlier when threats of nuclear war against Dorvik were made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs which happened to be a member of the terrorist organization of the Democratic Reform Party. The Volkspartei called for the declaration of war on the "Republic of Central Rutania" which in recent days has declared its independence from Rutania as the DRP Paramilitary occupied the area. 54 confirmed victims of the genocide against Dorvish Citizens in the Central Rutania have already either died on the way to the their home country in the airport, or have been captured, their houses and businesses plundered and them and their families executing. The Chancellor upon making his speech in the Volkskammer attempting to convince the parties for declaration of war has stated that: "The Barbaric tactic of the rebel terrorists cannot, and should not be accepted by this fine country and its citizens. Its time we show the world that Dorvik is a military power which will defend its citizens when they are in need, even if it means sacrificing funds and time for them. We must continue our rigorous foreign policy against the rebels. Every one of them must be shot out for attempting to kill Dorvish citizens, we must fight back!" It has been reported that the bill has passed with the approval for deployment. Although it has not officially come into effect, the Volkspartei and Communist Party have went ahead and with the confirmed and needed votes proclaimed war and officially notified the terrorist republic that they have been declared war upon. It is important to note that the deployment of men has been finally confirmed by the Minister of Defense and that "Men will be added as needed" according to him. T he Minister of Defense has informed the Volkskammer der Dorvik that the Armed Forces of Dorvik will deploy the 23rd Special Operations Brigade and 101st Special Operations Brigade at first and will than deploy more troops as they are needed. 2 Adrik-class air craft carriers will be dispatched, the Adrik and Petrov. 2 Mothar-class amphibious warfare carriers and 6 Egbert-class cruisers.

Minister of Defense Alaric Petrov addresses the nation.
National Legislature - Alaric Petrov, heir to the General Secretary post of the KPD and current Minister of Defense took the stand last night in a nationally televised confrence with the nation. He uttered words which have kept, at least in the publics eyes, war out of the homes of Dorvik citizens, his speech is as follows:

"Tonight we stand on the brink of war with a people who have claimed to be superior to the rest of the people on Terra. They claim that their way of life is superior..better than ours. I do not care if they declare "socialist" or "communist" to be "sub-humans" a belief does not make one a sub-human, a belief does not make someone more or less superior, we have to stand together as a world and turn our gaze towards the vicious genocide, and I use that term with much regret, but genocide of people who have lived in foreign territory and supported the foreign government of Luthori. This is not a war against Luthori and their beliefs, it's helping an ally out when they need it the most. Dorvik, I promise you that I will do everything in my power to stop this genocide."
