Dorvish Navy travels to Ostland for exercises
September, 4491
Königborn, Kronhofen Province, Ostland - The Dorvish Navy, lead directly by Inspector of the Dorvish Navy Admiral Konrad Hans-Georg von Schleskau, has conducted a series of naval warfare exercises in the Sea of Carina with the Ostland Navy. The exercises were planned in advance in August, 4491 with the Landwehr General Staff. Dorvik, since the return of the All-Dorvish League, has invested heavily in Ostland seeing Ostland as a close ally in the region as well as one of the more stable states in Dovani following the Dovani War. The war games included paradrops, rapidly becoming a favorite of both the Dorvish and the Ostlander militarys; the Dorvish have heavily inspired the airborne field of attack through a rigorous training program and the highly elite Fallschirmjager forces which have been emulated across Terra. Alongside airborne drops, the exercises included beach landings as well as counter-insurgency training in which the Dorvish and Ostlander militarys became leading theorist. War games are expected to take place in the summer of 4492 and focus more on land warfare techniques.
Dorvish Minister of Trade and Industry Thaddäus Florian von Desidier signed several trade deals over the course of the past seven weeks with Ostland and ensured that the Dorvish and Ostland economic relationship increased overtime, including listings of the Wolfsheim Stock Exchange on the Haldor Stock Exchange and Wasse am Kas Mercantile Exchange which has boosted the investment into several dozen Ostland companies. While it might seem that the Dorvish would be biased towards the northern portion of the country, where mostly Hulstrians and Dundorfians reside the State Chancellor Volker Regismund von Rohr-Mauss has also announced a 50b Dolgar investment into southern Ostland, where it is mainly Kunihito in the semi-autonomous Touryou State. The Dorvish rely on foreign imports of food from neighbors and allies during the harsh winter months up north, despite the fact that the very southern portion of Kordusia and the provinces of Largonia and Miktar are often incredibly fertile for the warmer months. Southern Ostland is incredibly fertile and is home of many agricultural fields whereas the northern and central portion of Ostland tend to be more industrial.
