New faction captures leadership in the ADV, calls for massive "reform"September 4521Haldor, Kordusia - It has been 11 years since the All-Dorvish League lost to the Religious Party of Dorvik and folded from national politics, the Liberal Monarchist faction that lead the party announced that the party would fold shortly after the crushing defeat that they had lost in national elections. Following that fold, Dorvik went dark, it ceased to be a nation that once involved itself in international affairs, it lost its seat on the Security Council to Keymon and many former allies turned their back on her. Companies were sold to foreign interests and despite all this, the economy maintained due to a large pool of bureaucrats and officials that were left over from the All-Dorvish League's era. In this time a new faction rose within the known as the "Free Conservative Party" called for state regulation combined with capitalism and a free market approach to economic, a more liberal social policy in some sense of the Dorvish word and a much more aggressive international policy then many others had argued for. The Free Conservative faction was supported by the Dorvish Rural League and the Conservative People's factions within the ADV and its leader Theodor Junkermann, has called for a much more "Dorvish" approach to the government and the real world.
As the "Federal Republic of Dorvik" ceases to exist, as called for by the All-Dorvish League and return to the "...democratic and stable, Dorvish Republic, a fundamentally more democratic and stable state." Junkermann, will lead the nation as the Interim President of the Dorvish Republic and will appoint long-time ally and Conservative People's faction leader Carsten Lindenbaum as State Chancellor. The return to a semi-presidential republic will be heralded as a stability movement as Junkermann and his VDKV backers, including the nobility of Dorvik, call for a return to the "beloved" republic that they once fought to defend. Junkermann will likely consult with incoming Minister of Defense and Inspector-General of the Armed Forces of Dorvik Stanislaus Regismund von Rohr-Mauss on reforming and reshaping the Dorvish military, once the centerpiece of the state but underneath the religious party, a lackluster component of necessary evil. Numerous officers, despite their usual apolitical nature when it comes to overt public politics, have called for the people of Dorvik to support the All-Dorvish League and it is believed that they are indeed doing that. The call for elections and announcement by the State Elections Commission was met with large scale rallies in Haldor, Vilnau, Schwarzenbüren, Königheim, Küssingen and Vinisk where ADV leaders, combined with others such as the Political Leadership Corps of the VDKV and large scale organizers from the Dorvish King and Dorvish nobility, incited these rallies to support the ADV.
Felix Sondheim, the incoming Minister of Foreign Affairs has condemned the Temania government and Trigunia for its actions supporting the government. "It is a fundamental problem that Trigunia has supported the government in Temania. Despite our absence from the Security Council, we support the Security Council in condemning the violence and instability, but we do not necessarily approve of an internal matter becoming an international issue. It is a Temanian issue, but more importantly a Dovani issue, namely post-colonial states in Dovani. Kazulia is in the right, but must understand that peacekeepers are the necessary means to protect if the case arises. We will be reaching out to Kazulia and potentially working with them to dispatch peacekeepers, for precisely that reason, peacekeeping." When questioned about the role of Dorvik in Artania, Dorvik noted that it was actively going to seek to revive or replace the Artanian Union and potentially overhaul the entire structure of the AU. Dorvik will likely be reaching out to old and new allies regarding a rebuilding of budding international relations.
Incoming Minister of Finance Phillipp Hass and Minister of Trade and Industry Dominik Ludwig von Desidier have met with numerous business leaders in conjunction with President Junkermann and State Chancellor Lindenbaum, the meetings have taken place over the past several days following elections and many Dorvish companies have announced a move to "strategic re-investment in the Dorvish economy" which is a term coined by Minister of Trade and Industry von Desidier. The move is likely to see certain elements of the economy opened up to more investment while others will be trimmed and bought up by other companies. Rumors have swirled that Kazulia and Dorvik are planning on working on a new reserve currency that will replace the LOD and be pinned to numerous other factors besides the perceived dominance of the Lodamese Dollar, the pinned currency of the world.
