Report: Dorvish Special Forces headed for Likatonia
Source within Dorvish military states that Dorvish "Hunters" headed to assist Likatonian Unity loyalist.

Haldor, Kordusia - The Dorvish General Newspaper today has received numerous reports that members of the Dorvish special forces were headed to Likatonia underneath the guise of night. Images reportedly show a Dorvish air force transportation plane taking off from a base in southern Miktar, the base has reportedly been used as a staging ground for operations of one of the Dorvish "Hunter Groups". When the Dorvish General Newspaper (as it is translated in Luthorian) inquired at the Dorvish Ministry of Defense the press spokeswoman stated that the Dorvish government did not comment on operations that they are gathering information on.

When pressed further the press spokeswoman stated that the Dorvish were indeed monitoring the situation closely but however had not supported one side over another and hoped for a peaceful outcome. When asked and shown images about the plane leaving from the special forces base in southern Miktar, the spokeswoman stated that the Dorvish military undertook dozens of humanitarian missions throughout the world and staged a number of training operations with Artanian Union allies.

It would be a bold move for Dorvish forces, especially with the lack of funding that they have received over the past several decades. The Dorvish State Bank announced that it had lifted its freeze on Dorvish state assets that the Social Nationalist Party had frozen prior to their disbanding. The move is going to free up nearly 160b DDO and the Dorvish are expected to reinvest that into their ailing economy.

Minister of War Askan Adelmar zu Völksau condemns and threatens Kafuristan.

Wasse am Kas, Kordusia - Minister of War Askan Adelmar zu Völksau gave a press conference today on the state of relations with the state of Kafuristan. Kafuristan, a traditional Dorvish ally has been beseeched by foreign invaders hailing from one of the many Gao-Showan nations throughout the globe. Minister zu Völksau was asked at a regularly scheduled press conference to spoke on the matter and it clearly touched on a nerve. "Kafuristan. Genocide and murder." The minister began his tirade. "Kafuristan has long been a stalwart ally of the Dorvish people and these foreign invaders need to be dealt with harshly. The Dorvish Republic has already begin ramping up diplomatic efforts in order to counter the murder, rape and pillage of the Majatran culture in Kafuristan and we will prevail. What the "Chann" family has done is illegal, ridiculous and outright wrong. We've been in contact with our Kafuri allies to ensure that they know that the Dorvish will not bow to the Chann invaders and we will end them with the entire force in the world if we need to." Minister zu Völksau responded to the reporters who were bewildered at the harsh statements coming from the Minister. The return of the Social Liberals '47 and the Social Nationalist Party has heralded a massive awakening in Dorvish foreign policy, many except that the Artanian Union, after laying dormant for many years will see a revival and the Dorvish will continue to output billions of dolgars in foreign defense assistance throughout the globe yet again.

The State Bank of Dorvik announced that 160b DDO was transferred to the Ministry of War two years ago and the surge was to upgrade systems throughout the Dorvish military. Exercise "Kraken" took place off the coast of Mothar last week and it was the first time since the return of the Social Nationalist Party that a military training exercise had been conducted. Minister zu Völksau stated that several allies had approached him about an international peacekeeping effort in Kafuristan and the Pravnova Naval Installation was on high alert. In response to recent tensions the Dorvish Navy placed several ships in the Pravnova Naval Installation to defend it against potential attack by the "Chann Republic".

President von Petrov announces plans for Dorvish military revival.

Haldor, Kordusia - President von Petrov met today with the State Security and Defense Council and the State Secretary for the State Security and Defense Council Detlev Schnitzer to discuss the current state of the armed forces. In a rare meeting, the Dorvish State Security and Defense Council released statements on the current plans to defend the Dorvish nation. President von Petrov discussed the need to rebuild the Artanian Union and met earlier with Jörn Erhard von Färber, the President of the Artanian Union and Vice State Chancellor of the Dorvish Republic. It was a meeting between the first returning State Chancellor for the Dorvish Republic and the returning President of the Dorvish Republic, it was believed that the meeting went smoothly as the Dorvish continued to press for involvement in the Artanian Union as usual. The discussion also lead to the ailing Artanian Mark which was believed to be a nearly extinct currency but the Artanian Central Bank announced that it would begin an operation to reprint the ART as a means to stimulate economic development within the Artania.

The meeting of the SSDC announced that the Dorvish State Bank had granted 160b DDO to rebuild the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Dorvik and enhance training and preparedness of the Landwehr program. It included a massive overhaul of the Dorvish defense industry and the licensing of Dundorfian equipment to the Dorvish Republic. Many suspect former members of the Social Nationalist Party used their clout with right-wing politicians in Dundorf to permit the licensing, this should allow the Dorvish to continue their numerous projects throughout the world and should see a huge increase in Dorvish arms exports throughout the world.

Military exercises show Dorvish military needs overhaul.

Mothar - Inspector-General of the Armed Forces of Dorvik Generaloberst Bernhart Heilmeier sat with the Minister of War Generaloberst Askan Adelmar zu Völksau and discussed the recent joint exercise of the Dorvish Armed Forces has shown holes in the Dorvish military establishment. When asked about the exercise the Minister of War stated "Some logistical holes still exist, we have to rebuild our abilities after years of serious neglect. Do I see us expanding overseas right away? No, absolutely not but in due time we will be able to do so again." Minister zu Völksau remains a brutally honestly opponent of the Dorvish military and the Fluss-Bach administration that he claims destroyed the Dorvish states capabilities and successive parties were not able to recover.

Minister zu Völksau went on to state that the State Bank of Dorvik's investment of 160b DDO would be used over the next decade to rebuild the Dorvish military capabilities. When asked what the focus of the Dorvish military was over the next decade the Minister smiled, laughed and passed the question off the Inspector-General. The Inspector-General is the head of the Supreme General Staff, the senior leadership of the Dorvish Armed Forces and is charged with the overall direction of the Dorvish military as well as its day to day administration.

Inspector-General Heilmeier stated that the Dorvish military would refocus on the re-building of their air and air defense capabilities as well as its naval capabilities. When questioned why the army was not of focus, he mentioned that during the "Dark Age" of the Dorvish military the army remained relatively well supplied, trained and prepared.

Foreign Economic Council established.

Wasse am Kas, Haldor - At a joint press conference of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development and the Ministry of Trade and Industry the announcement was that the Foreign Economic Council had been established to foster international trade within Dorvish interest. It would be spearheaded by the State Secretary of Economic Cooperation and Development and the State Secretary of Trade and Industry, the two most senior state officials short of the respective ministers. The Foreign Economic Council (Dundorfian: Außenhandel Rat) will be responsible for handling all foreign economic cooperation and trade throughout the Dorvish government. The Foreign Economic Council will be under joint administration of the respective ministries with the President's office acting as the true overseer.

Foreign Economic Council pushes "Eight Economies" to State Council.

Haldor, Kordusia - State Secretary of Economic Cooperation and Development Waldemar Pfefferberg and State Secretary of Trade and Industry Jörn Hartmann spoke today before the State Council's Committee on Trade and International Development and the Committee on Economics, Finance and the State Budget regarding the Trigunian's effort to build an economic bloc known as the "Eight Economies" this would allow the Dorvish economy, as well as the economies of seven other member states (Trigunia, Hutori, Ibutho, Vanuku, al-Badara, Cobura and Talmoria) to grow tremendously as well as create an international reserve in the event of serious emergencies in the financial markets. State Secretary of Economic Cooperation and Development Pfefferberg spoke highly of the treaty and states that it grants the Dorvish economy access to several highly developed national economies as well as other developing economies with emerging markets.

The economic bloc has reportedly grown out of a growing alliance between the eight nations over issues in both economic and political which they align with. State Secretary of Trade and Industry Hartmann stated that if the Dorvish economy was going to continue to grow and restabilize, it would need serious help. Dorvish markets already grew on the prospect that the Dorvish state would enter into the Eight Economies agreement and that growth might come at home due to a revival of the Artanian Union.

Dorvish State Railways eye Talmoria.

Director of the Management Board of the Dorvish State Railways August Brunke announced today that the Dorvish State Railways, in cooperation with the Foreign Economic Council was seeking to build railway infrastructure in Talmoria. The announcements comes after the Foreign Economic Council reached out to the Talmoria government for their response to such a project. Director Brunke hoped that a public announcement that the railway was seeking contracts might yield faster results due to increased pressure. Talmoria, a member of the new economic bloc known as the "Eight Economies" would greatly benefit from Dorvish investment and the Dorvish economy, on the speculation that the deal would go through has already been bolstered. Markets closed with higher then average yields the day of the announcement.

Badaran-Dorvish relations form after issues after collapse of the Kafuri Ba'athist.

Haldor, Kordusia - Ambassador to the Majatran Republic of Al'Badara Tobias Niehaus met today with Ambassador to the Dorvish Republic Faadi Farag to discuss depending relations between the two nations. Ambassador Niehaus spoke today about the previous relationship that the Dundorfic people and the Majatran people have had, and the relationship between the Dundorfian Reich and the Badaran Protectorate which would later establish the modern nation of Al'Badara. The two spoke about deepening economic cooperation, namely in the field of heavy industry where Al'Badara primarily focused on its oil and petroleum industry.

Dorvik, which has always been an ally of ideological Ba'athist parties announced a radical shift in foreign policy when they stopped supporting the foreign controlled Kafuri government, the Dorvish who have been close allies of the Kafuri slowly backed away when the foreign invaders began their take over of the country. Al'Badara which was unusually quiet for many years was neglected by the Dorvish but with the surge of Majatran Socialist Ba'ath Party - al-Badaran Region the Dorvish have branched out to cooperate further.

Dorvish State Railways gets OK from Talmoria.

Haldor, Kordusia - Earlier today the Director of the Management Board of the Dorvish State Railways August Brunke announced that the Foreign Economic Council had secured a direct investment into Talmoria from the Foreign Capital Fund (Dorvik's sovereign wealth fund) of 1b DDO (352m ART). The Dorvish State Railways will setup a corporation to handle the entire process, it will be a registered subsidiary of the Dorvish State Railways and will be responsible for the development of the entire project, Director Brunke stated that the major cities will see their railways improved and then railways will be used to connect major cities to each other and growing cities that serve as development centers for the Talmorian state.

The joint venture will be in the form of the Dorvish-Southern Dovani Bank (Dundorfian: Dorvisch-Süddovanische Bank) which will manage the investment of the FCF as well as begin to provide banking services to Talmoria and the Dorvish-Southern Dovani Railway (Dundorfian: Dorvisch-Suddovanischen Eisenbahn) which will oversee the construction, management and other operations and services of the railway. After completion of the railway the Dorvish will sell 25% of the DSDE to the Talmorian government with 20% coming at a later date.

Dorvish Privy Council pushes Dorvik and Vanuku closer.

Wasse am Kas - The Dorvish Privy Council, known as the Geheimer Rat in Dundorfian, met today to discuss the recent marriage between Anna von Bismark and Prince Juhn III of Vanuku. Duke of Vohrau Generaloberst Askan Adelmar zu Völksau, who is the Dorvish Minister of War, called the meeting to discuss the course of action regarding the relationship between Vanuku and Dorvik. While the Minister of War has kept himself out of the Privy Council and left it to his deputy Augustus Wilhelm von Desidier, he chimed in today and asked that the members of the Privy Council reach out to their contacts within the government of Vanuku and Dorvik and bring these two "ancestral allies" together. The zu Völksau family is close with the von Bismark family and has entered into several profitable business deals with the family.

The Minister of War stated that he would be asking the Council of Ministers and the Foreign Minister Cesar Kohlhaase to reach out to the government of Vanuku and work towards rebuilding bilateral relations between the two countries.

Finance Minister von Desidier slams Trigunia.

Central District, Haldor - Augustus Wilhelm von Desidier, the recently appointed Dorvish Finance Minister went on a tirade against the Trigunian Minister-President Yegorovich who told several prominent Dorvish businesses including subsidiaries of Ebner AG and Bismark AG, that they were required to leave Trigunia. Recently appointed Finance Minister von Desidier hosted a press conference today outside the Finance ministries headquarters when he heard the news. Finance Minister von Desidier, a relative of a former President of the Dorvish Republic went on the offensive. "This is statecraft today apparently. The Trigunian Minister-President has apparently lost his mind. He has increased corporate taxes to 75% and has asked several companies to leave? That is incredible. I am flabbergasted. Someone that claims to be our ally and work with us in the Eight Economies throws our companies out. I worked very closely with the National Chamber of Commerce there, even attending courses and this is the man that the Trigunians have appointed to represent them in world affairs? While I do not speak for the Foreign Ministry, I can say that they have offended the Dorvish people and the Dorvish state. We do not take kindly to that, at all. We'll consult with our other allies and we will have a swift response to this. We offer refuge to the companies being sent away from there to continue their business based out of Dorvik."

This is the first diplomatic row between the two countries in a long time. Little is known what is going to happen with this but it is clear that the Dorvish are offended that a long time ally would cast out Dorvish citizens.

Only weeks ago it was announced that Trigunia raised the corporate tax with 30% and with the law change a blacklist was released as well: numerous foreign companies are being forced to cease their business in Trigunia. Included on this list is one of the largest, if not the largest, conglomerates of the world; BismarckPaulus AG. The company was founded a little over 500 years ago. The main operations of the company are in Artania, Majatra and Seleya but in the last five decades the company has begun investing heavily in the Dovani and Keris markets. The Keris market uses Trigunia, and specifically Petrovgrad, as its main base of operations. But now it seems that BP AG has to leave this venture behind. A week ago financial analysts already commented that it would be unlikely for BP to leave without a fight, seeing as the company invested billions into the Trigunian sector only recently. Today the CEO announced they would not leave without a fight. "We will not leave because our name is on a blacklist. Trigunia's behaviour is anti-democratic, anti-capitalistic and completely against the principles of the Eight Economies. We have assembled our best lawyers to prepare a strong case and I have personally called upon several of my close contacts to assist our company in this struggle." said Eberhard von Bismarck. With a multi-billion investment it seems likely that the budget for the lawyers will go into the hundreds of millions. And with Eberhard von Bismarck being the father-in-law of the Prince of Vanuku the close contacts are also an easy guess. With BP's strong ties to the business sector in Dorvik it also seems likely they will request assistance from the Ministry of Finances.
