Dorvish SNP-DM coalition win.

Haldor, Kordusia - The February 4018 elections heralded an unprecedented change for the Dorvish state, the coalition of the Dorvish Social Nationalist Party and the Dorvish Movement won, beating out the ruling Socialist Unity Party that had destroyed Dorvik over the past several decades. SNP Chairman Thorismund von Petrov was elected as the President of the newly reformed Dorvish Republic with Safrax von Auspitz-Topol becoming State Chancellor, the two have been close friends since their time at the university in Kordusia. The election was hotly contested but the SNP-DM coalition came out on top. The new Dorvish government was quickly formed with the SNP taking the mantle as leader while the DM gained several ministries, including Justice and Finance.

Immediately, the new Dorvish government set out to restore the old constitution of the Dorvish Republic and restore "Sacred Dorvik", what they saw as their duty during the entire election. State Chancellor Safrax von Auspitz-Topol announced a whole new set of laws aimed at fixing the ailing Dorvish economy, he also stated that he was working with the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development in using Dorvish reserve funds to rebuild the Dorvish military, security structure and the Dorvish economy as a whole. As it stands the Dorvish reserve fund, which is maintained by a myriad of agencies, stands at around 356b DDO, which is a significant amount and the State Chancellor stated that a majority of it will likely go to re-construction efforts throughout the country.

Minister of the Interior Waldemar von Wädenssteig-Schwarzburg-Stralbrück announced a whole new set of measures for the Dorvish Police to follow and abide by, he announced that a coming law would effectively give his ministry power to disrupt Communist and Socialist elements in Dorvish society. President von Petrov is expected to announce his appoints for the military, security structures and government agencies in the coming months.

Chief of Dorvish Police announce arrest of hundreds of Communist and Socialist sympathizers.

Haldor, Kordusia - Chief of the Dorvish Police Ricimer Röthke announced today that the Dorvish Police alongside the State Security Service rounded up nearly 750 Communist and Socialist sympathizers throughout the country, namely in the former Socialist Unity Party strongholds of Westmark, where the Communist and Socialist have traditionally been the strongest throughout history. Chief Col.-Gen. Röthke stated that the round up was a means to protect the Dorvish state and was protected underneath the powers of the President of the Dorvish Republic who had signed and issued the Presidential decree. The round-up had taken nearly 1,500 police men and women throughout the country and several former members of the Socialist Unity Party were believed to have been arrested but the Dorvish Police and their public affairs directorate did not comment.

The Social Nationalist Party had captured the largest share of seats in the newly elected State Council and formed a coalition with the Dorvish Movement, a right-wing nationalist movement that has grown close to the SNP over the past decade. The Dorvish Movement was granted the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Finance alongside the Vice State Chancellorship which grants them a large variety of influence within the Dorvish government. These arrests are consider legitimate due to the fact that the Dorvish President is responsible to undertake "take all necessary steps to re-establish law and order" if "public order and security was seriously disturbed or endangered".

Hutori-Dorvish ties to begin again?

Haldor, Kordusia - Earlier today Dorvish President Thorismund von Petrov and State Chancellor Safrax von Auspitz-Topol welcomed Hutorian Chancellor James Murphy at Petrov International Airport in Haldor. The Hutorian Chancellor was greeted by the Honor Guard of the Dorvish Armed Forces as well as various dignitaries and officials of the Dorvish government, notable among them were the Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development, leading figures of the Foreign Economic Council and the Foreign Capital Fund both of which are the Presidents way of controlling the majority of foreign trade for the Dorvish Republic. The meeting is said to focus on the rebuilding of ties but in recent decades the once non-existant alliance was founded upon mutual suspicion of Trigunian interventionism and anti-Trigunian sentiment that spread throughout the northern hemisphere, for the past several decades Hutorian officials and private citizens have frequented the Northern and Eastern Security Confrence which is comprised of leading government, security, military and business officials usually held in Dorvik.

The widely held belief behind the meeting is to rebuild military ties and form an anti-Trigunian alliance to prevent further encroachment of the Trigunians on the shared Hutorian-Dorvish sphere of influence. The meeting is believed to last several days while the Hutorian Chancellors surveys numerous Dorvish sites including several military bases where it is believed that the Dorvish Supreme General Staff are to meet with military officials of the Hutorian delegation and discuss possible options for cooperation between the two. Whatever the real reason behind the visit, it has political experts in both countries eager to see what comes of the meeting, the coming election will be the largest test for the new apparent alliance between Dorvik and Hutori as the Dorvish SNP will be competing against a hard-campaigning Socialist Unity Party that was defeated and many affiliated members arrested by the Dorvish Police.

Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development announces 100b DDO Hutori Investment

Eppen, Haldor, Kordusia - Today the Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development in his weekly press conference announced a 100b DDO investment (~18.290b LOD) into various holding in Hutori, this move comes off the heels of a Hutori-Dorvish meeting that saw the rekindling of diplomatic ties between the two estranged allies. Chief among the agreements were anti-Trigunian sentiment and the 100b DDO investment will counter Trigunian money and influence within the northern hemisphere, the investment, as per the Minister, is said to bring back nearly triple over the course of 10 years and that it would be strategic for both economies to form an agreement. The Minister hinted at the formation of some sort of Northern Economic Agreement that would grant Hutori and Dorvik almost pure hegemony over the northern hemisphere or at least a large part of it. The Minister also hinted that if the domestic situation in the Holy Luthori Empire panned out that the Dorvish would be seeking to rekindle ties with a former Artanian ally.

GDC Autenburg Annual Conference - "...more Kordusian-class frigates for the Dorvish Navy."

Autenburg, Largonia - State Chancellor Safrax von Auspitz-Topol spoke this week at the annual Autenburg Annual Conference held by Gath Defense Collective in Autenburg, Largonia. The Dorvish State Chancellor spoke to various officials who questioned the surging Dorvish economy with the announcement of a 100b DDO investment in Hutori that is expected to yield large benefits both short-term and long-term. The State Chancellor, who was flanked by the Chief of the Military Technical Office of the Supreme General Staff and the Chief of the Construction and Naval Weapons Office of the Dorvish Navy, announced that the Dorvish Navy would be purchasing roughly 10 new Kordusian-class frigates to spread throughout the Dorvish Navy as well as attempting to upgrade their older fleet of Fürstenscheid-class conventional submarine. The announcement comes at a time when the Dorvish are attempting to re-assert their dominance in the world, and growing their fledgling blue water fleet is an sure fire way to do so.

Military experts believe that the construction will be completed roughly around June/July 4032 for all ten, the cost of each is roughly around 4.2b DDO totaling around 42b DDO and it is to be paid for by Dorvik's sovereign wealth fund, known as the Foreign Capital Fund.

State Chancellor to visit Hutori

Bekenial, Hutori - Safrax von Auspitz-Topol the Dorvish State Chancellor arrived earlier this week in Hutori to meet with the Hutorian Chancellor James Murphy, the same man who had broken ranks and began relations with Dorvik once again only a year earlier. The State Chancellor had been the first Dorvish senior government official to take a trip to Hutori ever, as Hutori in previous decades had not been as active as it had been and relations had never really grown. The trip to Hutori was announced alongside the potential for a Northern Economic Area Agreement that will include Hutori and Dorvik and potentially the Holy Luthori Empire. The trip is expected to bring the two countries even closer together and potentially cement a sort of "alliance" between the two nations in a more "formal sense".

The Dorvish Minister of War Vetericus Ferdinand von Färber announced from the headquarters of the Supreme General Staff that the Hutorian and Dorvish militaries would be conducting joint exercises. All branches of the Dorvish Armed Forces will be partaking including the Dorvish Jaeger Command and the Dorvish Feldjaeger Command the first time that the Dorvish special forces and military police will be conducting non-hostile actions outside of Dorvik.

SNP alive, but ailing.

Haldor, Kordusia - Sometimes, for a cancer patient or a mortally wounded soldier, the most relief does not come in the form of pain medications but in the amputation of the limb that is causing them pain. Its painful but the relief is much greater then expected. The Social Nationalist Party called earlier this week an emergency General Council at the behest of the Dorvish President-elect Thorismund von Petrov to "...reinvent and return the integrity of the party." The General Council is meant to elect the party leadership, known as the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is the overall head of the leadership and is responsible for much of the direction of the party alongside the Party Court which handles all official matters of policy for the party. If this is true, the SNP could see a new leadership in the coming weeks, more likely than months.

Octobrist Union takes over SNP.

Haldor, Kordusia - It was announced earlier this year that an emergency General Council had been called by current President Thorsimund von Petrov to radically shake up the SNP which had failed to win in elections. A group, known as the Octobrist Union, led by Arvandus Regismund von Petrov, son of Thorismund von Petrov. Arvandus and his "Octobrist Union" is a collection of hardline Social Nationalist as well as a broad coalition of leading members of the various SNP subsidiaries such as the Free Conservative Party and the National Democratic Party of Dorvik. Arvandus and his coalition formed in October 4029 and will be assuming their various roles in October 4030, he will serve as the replacement for Safrax von Auspitz-Topol as the State Chancellor despite his political inexperience.

Arvandus served as a Major General in the Dorvish Landwehr (Army) as the commander of the 10. Panzergrenadier-Division Heilige Dorvik (10th Panzergrenadier Division "Sacred Dorvik") which he continued to keep at peak condition as well as managed several international programs, including joint war games with Hutori. Arvandus was also appointed as a member of the Supreme General Staff as a part of a general rotation of professional officers. Others include Caspar Priesner, a noted foreign policy expert who will likely serve as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sigismund Andre von Fölker who is a ranking Generaladmiral (General-Admiral) in the Dorvish Navy and will likely serve as Minister of War while noted economic development economist Dominik Fischart will serve as Minister of Finance.

Octobrist call for General Council to re-organize failing Social Nationalist.

Wasse am Kas, Haldor, Kordusia - The headquarters of the Social Nationalist Party was abuzz earlier this week as the Octobrist members of the SNP called for a General Council. The ailing, aging and now President of the Dorvish Republic Thorismund von Petrov heeded the call and rallied the party behind the leader of the Octobrist, who have spent a large majority of their time re-tooling the Social Nationalist Party following the collapse of the Dorvish Movement around 4042/4043 and it paid off. The Octobrist were hailed for their impact in the election of 4045 where the SNP captured the Presidency and a majority in the State Council, they also drafted legislation which is currently on the floor to undue measures passed by the Socialist Unity Party.

The General Council is expected to meet next week and the new leadership, including the new leader of the SNP and candidate for President, is expected to be elected. The resurfacing of old faces at the General Council proves that the Octobrist might be looking to take the Dorvish political landscape back.

Outgoing Interior Minister: "We support the Nationalist in Dundorf."

Haldor, Kordusia - Outgoing Interior Minister Waldemar von Wädenssteig-Schwarzburg-Stralbrück stated today that the Dorvish Republic had sponsored the Dundorfian nationalist in the recent decade, he was asked about the regional instability on Artania recently. What the interviewer had asked regarded the sectarian violence out of Dundorf and he stated that the Dundorfian state had failed due to the crippling effects of Socialism and Communism on the Dundorfian state. While the Dorvish government has not officially announced anything regarding the sponsoring of the Dundorfian nationalist, it should be noted that many former Dundorfian nobles have been relocating to Dorvik over the past several months, including family members of the Hohenstauffen family.

Dorvish support for pro-Dundorfian movements have surged over the past several decades and the Dorvish government is often the sponsor of pro-Dundorfian movements, including paramilitary support to movements that are slightly more radical. The outgoing Interior Minister was a fierce proponent of protecting Dorvish interest regionally while not focusing on international affairs as many previous Interior Ministers have done in the past.
