Foreign Minister Dagher to receive Lourenne delegation
February, 4525
al-Kasraj, Abi'nadi - The delegation from Lourenne, lead by Foreign Affairs Minister Louis Fernand was met by Foreign Minister Kaphiri Dagher and other high-ranking Kafuri delegates to meet. The procession and welcoming ceremony at al-Kasraj International Airport was joined by the Republican Guard, the Kafuri Marines and the Kafuri Strategic Forces; both a show of the protective power of the Kafuri military and a show of force to remind enemies and allies that this was a new Kafuristan. The delegation arrived at the Presidential Palace in al-Kasraj and met with President Sahl bin Qadir al-Sadhi, members of the al-Sadhi family and Prime Minister Haazim Nassif. The first high-level meetings between Lourenne and Kafuristan was eagerly awaited as Kafuristan looks to attract foreign investment back in Kafuristan after centuries of chasing it away.
The Kafuri and Lourenne delegation will likely discuss a wide variety of topics, mostly focused around renewable energy that will not interfere with the Kafuri's dominance in the oil, gas and petroleum sector, shipbuilding industries in O'mer, Nekkah and Jerze'har and more importantly military and defense cooperation through the Majatran Organization for Industrialization. Kafuristan is likely to look to equip its air force with foreign aircraft outside of Dorvish and Trigunian designs that are produced locally through the MOI or purchased from the Artanian Defense Group.
One notable topic on the table is the creation of a large-scale solar farm in the Salimr Desert, one of the largest deserts in the world and located in central Pabeus. The project, which has been touted by President al-Sadhi, is looking for foreign companies to invest money into the solar farm as a means to create investment in the area and build Kafuri jobs. While the solar farm would be a massive boost the region, it would also allow Kafuristan to shift its own dependence on oil and further expand its sales and marketing outward, something it looks to do.
