Al'Badaran - Kafuri talks with regards to a full Alliance Agreement have began
March 3111

Mr. Tasimos Maximilian III stated in this morning's press conference:

"Yes indeed, the rumors circulating around the national press are indeed true, and Akim, how do you guys learn stuff like this before I even get notified is amazing. Al'Badara and Kafuristan are indeed discussing the possibility of signing an international treaty, specifically a full Alliance Agreement, which will lead to uniting the two nations in a great and extended level, an unprecedented movement here in Majatra. Specifically, the Liberal Urban Party is debating the merits of such an alliance with our eager ally in Al'Badara, the al-Jabhah al-Badariyah al-Qawmiyah. We're on the path of achieving great things, although certainty on this issue must be denied for the moment, as the government of Al'Badara is on the process of being informed and debate. We personally believe that such an agreement will strengthen our two nations, as it seems we have almost non existent differences with regards to our economies and domestic laws. A full Alliance Agreement, which will engulf a diplomatic, economic and military motion, will make Al'Badara and Kafuristan one entity in the international field, within the extents of a possible agreed document by both sides. For now, we have issued a proposal to the government of Al'Badara and hope that our friends will consider it with the biggest possible care. Nevertheless, I assure, if no agreement is reached, Al'Badara and Kafuristan will still remain great allies."

Al'Badara and Kafuristan now united in a diplomatic, economic and full military level
August 3112

After long discussions and extensive analysis, both sides agreed to ratify the proposed Kafuri - Al'Badaran Alliance Agreement and enter a healthy alliance on a diplomatic, economic and full military scale. Such an act will strengthen the two nations with regards to international politics and diplomacy, allow for easier and more productive economic trade between the two nations and achieve a greater level of sophistication when it comes to military numbers and equipment. "This is one of the biggest movements, internationally speaking of course", Mr. Maximilian III commented, "the two nations have done together. Never have such two friendly nations like Al'Badara and Kafuristan, which are very much alike in composition and beliefs, united in a more secure, believing, and close way. We are truly honored to open our borders to all Al'Badarans, engage in serious economic trade without international limitations and last, strengthen our armies while establishing a bigger entity in the coming and goings of the international power play. Truly honored."

Military mobilization to Restore Order in Saridan
November 3112

Image
Chaos in Saridan, civil riots in Golemia

Mr. Tasimos Maximilian III commented with urgency in this morning's press conference:

"Ladies and gentlemen, good morning to all. I would like to bring your attention to the current situation in Saridan. As national news outlets indicate, the rebel groups led by the Nameless Party have steadily progressed through the nation and have gained ground in several smaller regions throughout the provinces of Moshiran, the northern coast of the mainland Warris and the Pashuran Valley, without the ability to infiltrate Aldumor or the island of Surtilati to the northwest, where intelligence indicates that the Air Force of Saridan is located. The official Saridani government has made an unofficial call to the Kafuri government for immediate interference in order to restore order and peace in the aforementioned areas, before civil rioting and local demonstrations, such as the devastating two hour street battle in Golemia, which took place yesterday, escalate to a full blown civil war. Kafuristan, by an executive order from my office, in association with the Ministry of Defense and the Emperor's blessing, has commenced mobilization of the Kafuri Military, and will proceed according to a disclosed plan of action so as to fulfill the aforementioned goals in time. The Kafuri Military shall be consisted of the Kafuri Navy and many numbers of transported heavy infantry. The only aircraft carrier in operation shall transport a small portion of the Kafuri Air Force, which shall secure the nation of Aldumor by air. Enactment of the mission is expected to take place in two days."

Influenced by the Nameless Party's propaganda of overthrowing the current regime and establishing one that will be governed by the people, many youth groups and workers formed strike groups, attended many demonstrations, most of which led to bloodshed during heavy street fights and in general created anarchy inside urban centers. Rural areas are steadily seized by the Nameless Party's paramilitary group, who are reported to be heading towards Golemia, after planning apparently of taking control of the region of Aldumor. Intelligence also reports that naval vessels and equipment of the national military such as units of heavy infantry have been taken by the paramilitary and are now under control of the Nameless Party. The Kafuri Navy is more than capable of managing the task, but it seems the rebels have managed to disclose the locations of the vessels or any other equipment they have taken control of, playing a hide'n'seek war with the national army and local authorities.

Under control of the rebel army remains the region of Moshiran, Saridan's light and heavy manufacturing industrial sector. No other comments have been made so far about the situation, and the Ministry of Defense has proceeded with this assignment with extreme caution and mystique. Meanwhile, street fights continue in Saridan and local authorities seem to be steadily losing ground to the hands of the Nameless Party's paramilitary group. Estimations indicate that at the end of this month the Kafuri Military will be stationed in full alert in the island of Surtilati.

War Begins! The Siege of Golemia, Saridan
December 3112

Image
Kafuri Navy right off the coast of Golemia - Golemia, Saridan

It was 2nd of December 3112 when the Kafuri Military arrived in Saridan and secured the island of Surtilati, with the Navy stationed around its perimeter. The Kafuri Military command took control of the remaining air force units in Saridan and launched a scout mission to the mainland, only to realize the rebel group had taken complete control of it. Intelligence mentioned this morning, two days after the scout mission, that the marching army of the Nameless Party was steadily heading towards the city of Golemia, located in the northwest coast. By authorized orders from Kafuristan, the navy transported a big proportion of the Kafuri Heavy Infantry to Golemia and prepared the city for siege. "We don't know the numbers, despite the good estimate, nor the equipment they have at their disposal, " Mr. Maximilian III commented, "but we do know they are hungry for blood and will not stop until they die."

The Kafuri Military hesitated into launching an aerial attack with chemicals, in order to wipe out the marching group, but is afraid of the repercussions such act would have on the general population and local city centers. Many citizens have also joined the cause and are assisting the rebel groups every way possible. The justice system is completely scrambled in the mainland, with no police station whatsoever answering to the calls made from Golemia. It is known however that many civilians have been transported to the island of Surtilati, which is now being heavily defended by both the national army, the Kafuri Military, the air force and the stationed naval vessels from Kafuristan, all around the islands perimeter. Careful scouts indicate that some attempts have been made from coastal defense lines from the mainland to destroy a particular battleship, but those points of land to sea defense where completely destroyed after a swift bombing attack from the national air force.

Golemia has been heavily mounted with both heavy infantry and artillery provided by the national army of Saridan and the Kafuri Military. Nevertheless, all scout missions have failed to bring back images of the enemy's territorial bases, meaning that there is no certain way to determine nor the size nor the efficiency of the rebel army. The Kafuri Navy will watch the perimeter around Golemia for now, as it is widely known that the enemy has captured plenty units of the national navy of Saridan. Regular air flights will guard the island of Surtilati. "We will not hesitate to strike down any threatening ships", Mr. Maximilian III stated. For now, the world of Kafuristan and Saridan is watching closely as the siege of Golemia is about to begin. And the calendar is showing 5 December, 3112.

Naval Battle off the Coast of Golemia
December 3112

Image
Enemy vessel spotted from Zappgrad - Surtilati, Saridan

Kafuri Battleship opening fire to enemy vessel

The calendar writes 7 December, 3112. Golemia, the capitol of Saridan, has been prepared for siege, heavily mounted by the national army of Saridan and heavy infantry units and artillery from the Kafuri Military. Command has also recruited reserve units and has called for citizens of Golemia to arms, in order to help protect the city. The huge rebel group, which is consisted of both citizens of Saridan and the party's rising in numbers paramilitary group, as well as units from the captured military bases around the mainland, has been stationed just outside Golemia. A full 12 hour has passed without any aggressive signs. Golemia now lights like a chaos from the night sky as every man and military is on alert.

Meanwhile, the military command from Zappgrad spotted earlier this morning several enemy vessels approaching to Golemia from the east. The Kafuri Military was within minutes on full alert ready to counter attack possible aggressive movements. A few minutes later an executive order arrived from Kafuristan and soon enough the Kafuri Navy opened fire and successfully sunk one enemy vessel. The counter attack was immense, with both sides exchanging full fire. With the help of the air force, another enemy vessel was destroyed, however not before causing heavy damage to the sea lines of Golemia, destroying many defenses and killing civilians. An elite battleship from the Kafuri Navy sustained heavy damage and was forced to retreat to Zappgrad, while the attack continued. In total, 3 enemy vessels were destroyed. The rest retreated east, and despite the air forces best attempts the vessels escaped. A fighter was shot to the ground by mainland defenses.

Our estimations within the command in Zappgrad indicate that this could have been a decoy.

Ongoing Siege of Golemia - Things not looking good
December 3112

Image
Commercial center in the suburbs during the exchange of fire - Golemia, Saridan

December has almost approached its end and still the siege of Golemia takes place as the biggest event of the month throughout the world. Kafuri Military has almost lost the suburbs enclosing the city to the rebel groups. Heavy artillery fire was exchanged this morning and the results were simply devastating, with buildings raised to the ground and highways torn apart by the blasts. Chemicals flooded the surrounding areas in a two sided attempt to create chaos to the opposing forces. The defender troops were forced to evacuate their division in southwest Golemia and retreat back to the city, as the chemicals continued to spread. Many Kafuri military units were destroyed, with estimations being made about 312 military men dead, 5 heavy artillery units destroyed and multiple defense lines completely raised to the ground. The advancement of the rebel army continues.

Meanwhile, the government of Kafuristan has spent the last two days endlessly debating the situation. Fears have sparked everywhere that Golemia will not hold until the end of December. And the calendar eagerly shows 21 December, 3112.

The Fall of Golemia
January 3113

The calendar writes 2 January, 3113. Golemia has fallen to the rebels.
An article by Arid Bak'sur

Image
We peeked at Golemia from a nearby hill. The view was depressing.

Not three hours ago came a signal from Golemia that the rebels was launching a full scale attack. "We thought of sending assistance, some more infantry perhaps, but then an alert arrived", were the comments of a military man in charge of telecommunications. The new alert came from a Kafuri fighter and it said specifically that Golemia is about to fall. "They are surrounded, they are surrounded". That was it, a few minutes later the military command in Surtilati lost communication with the task force in Golemia. Everybody was slaughtered. There are no survivors and there is no way to estimate the number of deaths. But it is all statistics now. Golemia has fallen.

We boarded a ship and set off to locate any survivors. We found few outside Golemia, all scattered around the hills seeing that their home was destroyed. We now realize that military personnel from the ranks of the Saridani Army were spies of the rebel paramilitary and were obeying the orders of the Nameless Party. It was fast and silent. It was efficient. Defenses were shut down and everything was lost. The Kafuri Military lost this great battle. Golemia was lost along with its infantry, heavy artillery and citizens. We disguised ourselves, pretended to be the followers of the Nameless Party and entered the city. It was total shock. It was total destruction.

Image
What is left of downtown Golemia - Golemia, Saridan

Citizens were scarce. Golemia had fallen, along with its pride, dignity and citizens. Saridan was now deprived of peace, of tranquility, of stability. Civil war has blown all over the country. The naval battle during the siege ended in favor of the rebel group, who managed to destroy and sink 4 Kafuri vessels. The navy has retreated to Surtilati. A few minutes ago we saw a reconnaissance fighter fly over the city, only to be shot down over the south. It is sad. It is all desperate. We helped a mother by giving her some milk to feed her remaining child. She had lost 5 already by the blasts.

We retreat as we fear of capture. We retreat and watch Golemia destroyed behind, like some divine hand shattered the land. Desolate and deserted.

"A terrible disaster, the defeat of theocracy in Saridan"
January 3113

Earlier this morning, the first conference with regards to the Saridani situation was held in LUP headquarters here in Kafuristan. The air was depressing and all the heads carried a sense of defeat, with eyes sad and wimpy, like everyone had witnessed some great personal loss, whether electoral or family, it is not known. The government of Kafuristan received plenty of criticism for their latest acts in Saridan, and more specifically, with the fall of Golemia or rather of, the inability to hold Golemia from the rebel army, forcing Mr. Maximilian III to issue a press conference and address both the nation and the international world. The calendar writes 3 January, 3113.

"Good morning to all, ladies and gentlemen. I appreciate all of you coming here after such a short notice. But I also presume you expected some kind of response from your government after the staggering and petrifying events that took place in Saridan not 20 hours ago. Yes, I will speak of those who lost their lives trying to protect the capitol of Saridan because not only did Golemia represent the nation's pride, not only did we have to protect the property and the lives of the Saridani people, but we also had to ensure Saridan did not walk into a path of a devastating civil war. The siege had a turning point. Yes. We continuously received supplies from Surtilati, naval battles leaned in favor of the Kafuri Navy and the desperate forces outside the city perimeter were loosening up. Then things got quiet and we were betrayed by those who fell for the empty dream of the rebels, for the empty words of the Nameless Party who in their attempt to secure those beliefs did not fear to slaughter anyone standing in their goal. Within two hours, the navy had retreated and Golemia had fallen. It is a terrible disaster, it is the defeat of theocracy in Saridan; that era has died.

We lost plenty of men out there. We lost good men. Their families now scream with agony and pray to Akim, wishing for the Word of Ranz'riah to bring justice. I assure this, ladies and gentlemen, good friends here in Kafuristan, children of Kafuristan and all the petrified citizens in mainland Saridan: we did lose Golemia. There are no excuses, whatever the events. We failed to keep those that were at stake during the siege; values, people, property - everything and everyone. But we shall assure you this. The might of the joint military of Kafuristan and Surtilati are more than enough to crash the rebels of Saridan and we shall secure victory by any means necessary now. So many have died already, is that justified for the acts of the Nameless Party? I assure you it's not. We shall not spare even a single member of the Nameless Party, be it politicians, military men, or citizens. We shall annihilate every single person who follows and believes in the warmongering words of the Nameless Party. Saridan will witness the quickest and most devastating civil war history has ever seen and that is because the Nameless Party are murderers who have been sentenced to death by the rest of the world. No mercy. No leniency. We now fight for justice and the souls that were lost in all unfairness during this blinded war. We fight for peace and stability. But above all, we fight for the people of Saridan who wish to see the sun shining over a free day once again. We fight for those who cannot mourn right now for the events of December 3112.

I ask you all, ladies and gentlemen, to bear with me before questions, for a minute, in memory of the unjustified deaths of all those people who fought for our willing but who we never knew personally."

NP showing its true twisted essence; "Saridan will now expand", Mr. Maximilian III's very own comment on the situation
January 3113

The calendar shows 4 January, 3113. And this is an extract from Pritchard's speech, the leader of mainland Saridan and the commander of the rebel forces:

Comrades!
The Holy State has been destroyed; now the Armed Land of Saridan is born!
We have thrown the clergymen out into the sea, but our victory is not complete until Kafuristan and their puppets on Surtilati have been eradicated from the face of the earth! […]
But our journey does not end there. There is an entire planet out there to conquer! […]
Let us build for ourselves a new nation in discipline and comradeship. Let us create a military power unseen in history. Let us carve out our new destiny in this godless world.
Saridan is supreme! Long live the revolution!

This was broadcast over Saridani television and took place yesterday in the city of Golemia. Clearly indicated, there is more to the Nameless Party than the warmongering agenda of conquering Saridan and imposing their twisted egoistic views over the nation. They wish to go international and release the horrors, which they spread here, all over the world. They will not stop until all of their enemies are exterminated and they rule alone. ''Saridan will now attempt to expand'', was Mr. Maximilian's comment, ''and they will not stop. They care not about hunger nor unemployment nor the devastation the citizens of Saridan must now endure. This is a warning to the international community. We must act immediately. I gave a promise to the thankfully alive government of old Saridan, that I will respond to their call of aid and repel those rebels. We lost a battle, but we shall not lose a war. We shall not give in to those terrorists. Those...murderers. Those scum who believe in nothing''.

Alliance with Al'Badara broken; the MCP siding with the rebels of Saridan
December 3114

Image
Mr. Maximilian III, during his press conference - Jeberechiah, Kafuristan

With regards to the sudden anti-national movements of the Majatran Communist Party of Al'Badara and their change of beliefs to a more solitary path, Mr. Maximilian III stated during this morning's press conference:

"The blindness of the MCP when it comes to the murderers of Saridan and their trust in their beliefs has disrupted the centuries old relations between our two fine nations. The MCP leaders' choice to relocate to Saridan until the government of Al'Badara conforms with their stagnant views is simply irrational. The MCP can no longer call themselves supporters of the people of Al'Badara because they have sacrificed both them and their nation to their own personal beliefs and views of what justice really means. The LUP of Kafuristan shall not even consider discussing with those perpetrators and hypocrites because reason cannot be accepted by those who refuse to recognize its even existence. I assure you however, that the government of Al'Badara and Kafuristan still remain good friends and are working through this issue to result into a positive outcome."

Specifically, the MCP stated in their Declaration towards the Al'Badaran legislative assembly, that "The Majatran Communist Party (Badara), the Majatran Red Brigades and the Communist Youth League of Badara would like to communicate the current and illegitimate cabinet of Badara that three organizations will attack the pillars of the Nation and the Government until the radical Islamic and monarchists reject the bill for the illegalization of the national structures of the Majatran Communist Party (international) in this country", a statement which refers to the government's actions of dealing with the sudden crisis the MCP created within their ranks. That is, siding with the rebel forces of Saridan. "The official government of Saridan still exists, and the people who support it, only because the rebel groups did not get the chance to slaughter them during their rise in power", was Mr. Maximilian III's comment when he was asked about the MCP's statements.

Without the agreement of the MCP needed, the government of Al'Badara has voted in favor of assisting Kafuristan by military means in order to bring back justice to the land of Saridan. No official announcement has been made so far by the government of Al'Badara. Meanwhile, naval assistance has arrived in Surtilati from Kafuristan, after Mr. Maximilian's executive order to increase military presence in the island of Surtilati "due to fears of retaliation from the mainland without any regard for any life".
